Hi, I'm Manu, Engineering Manager at
Customer.io
. We're looking for experienced backend engineers who want to build and own the infrastructure that powers one of the most data-intensive platforms in marketing automation — systems that process millions of events per second, orchestrate complex workflows at scale, and keep everything running reliably for thousands of customers worldwide.
You'll work on the Platform team, tackling hard distributed systems problems: designing for fault tolerance, scaling services under real production pressure, and building the foundational layers that every other team at
Customer.io
depends on. This isn't just maintenance work — you'll shape the architecture of systems that need to be both highly available and constantly evolving.
If you're someone who gets energized by the intersection of scale, reliability, and developer experience — and wants ownership over infrastructure that truly matters — we'd love to talk.
What you'll bring:
Deep experience with distributed systems and large-scale backend architecture
Strong instincts around reliability, observability, and fault tolerance
Comfort reasoning about performance, capacity, and trade-offs at scale
Experience with event-driven systems, message queues, or data pipelines is a plus
A collaborative mindset — you raise the team around you
About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies - from scrappy startups to global brands - use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive.
We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data. Under the hood: Go, React, Ember and AI help us ship fast and scale with confidence.
What We Value
Ownership
You drive technical direction across systems and teams. You move with urgency, build with empathy, and think long-term. You’ve led large-scale infrastructure initiatives and know what it takes to get them over the line.
Engineers with customer focus
You think about how infrastructure unlocks customer value. You care about developer experience, system design, and how your work shapes the customer experience.
A healthy disregard for “the way things are done”
You bring rigor and creativity. Best practices matter, but never more than forward motion.
What You’ll Do
Design and evolve distributed systems in Go to handle billions of daily events and messages and store and index petabytes of data
Lead architectural decisions around performance, reliability, and real-time event processing
Improve service-to-service communication through better APIs, messaging systems, and event-driven patterns
Work across teams to uncover bottlenecks and system issues, and lead initiatives to resolve them for a smoother customer experience
Tackle high-throughput challenges across data pipelines, queues, and scheduling infrastructure
Able to debug production systems at scale using effective instrumentation, and resolve issues quickly and confidently
Participate in an on-call rotation as required, supporting the reliability of the systems you build
Share knowledge and raise the bar through sharing your progress publicly with short videos, thoughtful writing, and mentorship
Leverage AI tools to prototype, move faster, and make better decisions
What we're looking for
Significant experience (typically 10+ years) building scalable, distributed systems in Go (or similar statically typed languages)
Deep experience with databases - relational (MySQL, Postgres) and non-relational (DynamoDB, BigTable) - and how to make them fast
Comfort working in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP)
Familiarity with APIs, observability, and operating production systems
A bias for action over perfection, and pride in owning technical decisions
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.

About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.
About the role
Hi, my name is Nick Guardino, Senior Director of Marketing Ops at
Customer.io
, and I'm looking for a GTM AI Engineer to help take our AI agents from scrappy prototypes to production-grade systems our GTM teams can depend on.
Over the last 3.5 months, our GTM AI team has built 11 agents now running in production, serving 120 active users and roughly 25,000 tool calls a day — all through custom CLIs that work, but weren't built to scale. We believe businesses can run leaner and go further when they deploy AI agents well, and we're figuring out that motion in real time. This role owns the scale and reliability layer so the rest of the team can keep building.
What we value
Craft over quick wins
— energized by making things robust, not just making them work.
A point of view
— we want someone who asks "why did you build it that way?" and has a specific answer for what to do instead.
Comfortable being wrong
— you try things fast, and you course-correct just as fast.
AI-native by default
— you'd rather direct Claude to write and QA code than write it by hand.
What you'll do
Alpha-to-production ownership
— take newly built agents from working v1 to production-ready: write evals, harden prompts and tool definitions, and refactor prototype scaffolding into clean, production-quality code.
Observability & stability
— instrument tracing, logging, and monitoring across the agent fleet so we catch regressions before our 120+ GTM users do.
Deployment & infrastructure
— stand up and maintain the pipelines that get agents into users' hands without surprises, owning environment parity and release hygiene on our GCP stack.
Database administration
— own how agents read from and write to our databases, safely and at scale.
Fleet maintenance
— monitor agent behavior in production, triage issues, and ship the steady stream of improvements that make an agent indispensable rather than just useful.
Partner closely with the GTM AI team
— free up our agent builders to stay in their zero-to-one wheelhouse while you own scale and reliability.
Bring an outside point of view
— tell us what we built wrong, and back it up with a plan to fix it.
What we're looking for
4+ years in software engineering, platform/infrastructure engineering, or a similarly technical role, ideally at a B2B SaaS company.
Comfort working in the terminal daily, with a real GitHub PR-and-deploy workflow.
Cloud hosting experience — Kubernetes, VMs, or equivalent; Google Cloud experience strongly preferred.
Experience with how agents interact with and edit databases, including some hands-on database administration.
Familiarity with LLM-based application development: prompt engineering, tool/function calling, evals, and modern agent frameworks.
Ability to prompt AI tools correctly, review their output critically, and direct them to QA their own work — this is an AI-native role, not a hand-coding one.
Scrappy enough to iterate fast, disciplined enough to think about consistency once something needs to scale.
A point of view, and the willingness to ask "why did you build it that way?"
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is
$140,000–$170,000 USD

Workplace: OnSite
Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to join our Data Engineering team based in London.
As the Data Platform Team, we strive to create the world’s leading, commercially scalable, safe, and advanced humanoid robots that seamlessly integrate into daily life and amplify human capacity.
We’re looking for experienced Engineers to help build our data platform from the ground up. You’ll have the opportunity to define its architecture, make key decisions, and shape how we handle and process petabyte-scale data in the near future.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build the Capability Factory - an internal platform designed for everyone from software engineers to non-technical operators, enabling the entire organization to teach HMND robots new skills at scale, from raw data all the way to deployed capabilities.
- Curate, preprocess, and manage large-scale datasets for humanoid robot training - a corpus of robot telemetry growing toward petabyte scale.
- Design and operate highly scalable data pipelines and the compute infrastructure that powers them, ensuring reliability and throughput as data volume and team demands grow.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of training data across multiple concurrent projects and robot platforms.
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to shape the Capability Factory, streamline MLOps, and build the evaluation workflows that close the loop between training runs and real-world robot performance.
- Build data warehouse solutions and BI dashboards that give stakeholders across the organization clear visibility into data collection, model progress, and operational health.
- Establish and uphold best practices for data management - versioning, access control, security, and compliance.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning and delivering complex systems end-to-end, not just contributing to them.
- Strong backend engineering - designing and operating production-grade APIs and services: clean data modeling, reliable error handling, performance under load.
- Data engineering at PB+ scale - building and maintaining pipelines that move, transform, and validate large volumes of data reliably; understanding of batch and streaming processing patterns, data quality, and schema evolution.
- Workflow orchestration at scale - designing and operating multi-step automated pipelines with retries, observability, and graceful failure handling.
- Distributed systems fundamentals - you understand how things break at scale: eventual consistency, idempotency, backpressure, job scheduling, and failure modes in distributed compute and storage.
- Cloud infrastructure fluency - you have shipped and operated real systems on a major cloud provider; you think about cost, reliability, and security as first-class concerns, not afterthoughts.
- Container orchestration - deploying and operating workloads on Kubernetes at a level where you can debug scheduling issues, design resource allocation, and reason about cluster health without guidance.
- Full-stack range - comfortable building both the backend and the frontend of an internal product; you can own a feature from database schema to UI without handing off.
- Production ownership mindset - you've been on-call, triaged incidents under pressure, and improved systems after postmortems. You take reliability personally.
Nice to Have
- ML infrastructure or MLOps experience - understanding of how training jobs run, how model artifacts are managed, and what makes an evaluation pipeline trustworthy; you've worked alongside or directly supported ML researchers.
- Distributed compute frameworks - experience with large-scale parallel data processing, whether for data transformation, model training, or evaluation.
- Domain knowledge in robotics or embodied AI - familiarity with robot data formats, sensor telemetry, or the sim-to-real evaluation loop is a significant head start.
- BI and data warehouse experience - building data models and dashboards that translate raw operational data into decisions for non-technical stakeholders.
- Dual-cloud or multi-cloud storage - experience reasoning about cost, latency, and consistency tradeoffs across storage providers.
- Frontend product sense - beyond just shipping features, you have opinions about what makes an internal tool actually usable by non-engineers.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
- 30+ paid days off, including 23 days of annual leave, all UK bank holidays, and additional company closure days (including Christmas–New Year shutdown).
- Private healthcare, including virtual and in-person care.
- Pension scheme with 8% total contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.
- Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in-office.
- Work at the frontier - collaborate daily with world-class engineers, researchers, and product experts building the next generation of AI and humanoid robotics.
- Real ownership - direct access to founding leadership, meaningful input on product direction, and the ability to drive key initiatives from day one.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Today, when you go to your doctor and get referred to a specialist, your doctor sends out a referral and tells you, “They’ll be in touch soon.” So you wait. And wait. Sometimes days, weeks, or even months. Why? Because too often providers are overwhelmed with the painstakingly tedious work required to get paid by insurance companies. Powered by proprietary models, Tennr handles the complex paperwork that gets patients through the door and providers paid, helping operators get patients the right care, at the right time, in the right setting.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Solutions Consultant at Tennr, your job is to walk into the messiest patient intake and authorization workflows in healthcare and prove, with evidence, not slides, that Tennr can fix them.
You get brought in once a deal is qualified and own the technical evaluation from first demo through signature. That means running discovery to uncover the real operational pain, translating it into a business case, and then building and delivering a proof of concept that makes the answer obvious. You'll partner closely with an Account Executive, but the evaluation is yours to win.
This is not a feature-demo role. The best SCs at Tennr understand the customer's business well enough to tell them something they didn't know about themselves — and then show them exactly how Tennr fixes it.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Run structured discovery to identify operational pain points across referral intake, prior authorization, and patient processing workflows — and quantify what they're costing the organization.
- Deliver product demonstrations that are built around the prospect's specific problems, not generic feature walkthroughs.
- Architect and build tailored Proof of Concepts using Tennr's agentic patient orchestration platform, scoped to what will move the deal.
- Build current/future state process maps that make the before-and-after undeniable.
- Own deal strategy in partnership with the AE — know where the deal stands, who the stakeholders are, and what needs to happen to close.
- Become a genuine expert in the healthcare verticals you cover (DME, infusion, specialty pharmacy, home health) — understand the workflows, the payer dynamics, and the economics well enough to be credible in a room full of operators.
- Translate Tennr's technical capabilities into business outcomes for non-technical buyers (operations leaders, CFOs, clinical directors).
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-7 years in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role at a B2B SaaS company.
- Technically hands-on — you've configured complex software platforms, worked with APIs, or built demo/sandbox environments without engineering doing it for you. You know how data moves through a system.
- Security and compliance fluency — you can read a SOC 2, interpret technical controls (encryption, access management, network segmentation), and respond to vendor security assessments without needing someone to translate for you.
- CS degree or equivalent technical foundation strongly preferred — not because we need you to write production code, but because it signals you can figure things out when the documentation runs out.
- Healthcare experience preferred — DME, infusion, specialty pharmacy, or any provider-side operations background is a significant plus.
- Comfortable presenting to and building credibility with both operational buyers and technical stakeholders (IT, security, compliance).
- Startup experience is a plus — you build process as you go and don't wait to be told what to do.
WHY TENNR?
- Drive Impact: one of our company values is Cowboy, meaning you set the pace. You won’t just talk about things, you’ll get them done. And feel the impact.
- Develop Operational Expertise: learn the inner workings of scaling systems, tools, and infrastructure.
- Innovate with Purpose: we’re not just doing this for fun (although we do have a lot of fun). At Tennr, you’ll join a high-caliber team maniacally focused on reducing patient delays across the U.S. healthcare system.
- Build Relationships: collaborate and connect with like-minded, driven individuals in our Hudson Square office 4 days/week.
- Free lunch! Plus a pantry full of snacks.
BENEFITS
- Beautiful new office at 345 Hudson Street
- Unlimited PTO
- 100% paid employee health benefit options
- Employer funded 401(k) match
- Competitive parental leave

About the Role
OKX is looking for a Senior Director of AI to lead both people and product — building and managing a high-calibre AI team while staying deeply involved in the design, evaluation, and production deployment of autonomous agent systems. This role calls for a leader who leads by doing: technically grounded, sharp on product judgment, and able to translate both into tangible business outcomes.
What You'll Do
Team Leadership
— Build, manage, and develop a team of AI engineers and researchers; own hiring, growth, and performance across the function
Agent Product Delivery
— Lead end-to-end delivery of autonomous AI Agent products, covering the full lifecycle from requirements and architecture through to production operations
Eval-Driven Development
— Establish benchmark-driven evaluation frameworks that replace manual iteration with quantifiable quality signals across agent systems
Agent Harness Design
— Design and implement end-to-end Agent Harness infrastructure to ensure agent stability and reliability in complex, real-world scenarios
LLM
Orchestration
— Orchestrate creative reasoning steps alongside deterministic guardrails, finding the right balance between flexibility and control
Engineering Workflow Integration
— Embed AI Agent capabilities deeply into core products and engineering pipelines, improving both developer productivity and business value
Cross-functional Alignment
— Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure technical direction stays tightly aligned with strategic priorities
What We're Looking For
Must-have
Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (PhD preferred)
10+ years of experience in AI/ML research, productization, or platform development, including core technical or leadership roles at globally recognized technology companies
Deep expertise in LLMs and Generative AI, deep learning, reinforcement learning, recommendation systems, and related areas
Proven track record of translating AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes
End-to-end delivery experience with autonomous AI Agent products, from inception and architecture through to production operations
Hands-on experience integrating AI deeply into engineering and development workflows — such as AI coding assistants, automated code review, or developer productivity tooling
Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required to collaborate across our multilingual, cross-regional teams
Nice to have
Background at an AI-native startup or frontier AI lab, with familiarity with fast-cycle product iteration
AI publications, patents, or industry-recognized technical contributions
Familiarity with the unique technical challenges of applying AI in crypto, fintech, or high-frequency data environments

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Enterprise AI Products team builds products that make AI part of how teams work together, not just a tool people use on their own. We bring Perplexity Computer into Slack, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and MCP server with helping teams collaborate with agents and automate work across conversations, documents, and business systems. That includes workflows that start from a message or business event, carry out multiple steps, and bring people in for decisions and approvals.
You’ll build new products from the ground up, working directly with customers to understand their problems and shape what we build next. You’ll combine applied AI engineering with product judgment, moving quickly from prototypes to reliable products that solve recurring problems across many organizations. Ownership extends beyond launch: you’ll use customer feedback and product experiments to improve the experience, grow adoption, and make Computer something teams depend on in their daily work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and build AI-powered experiences in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and the MCP server bringing Computer into the tools where teams communicate, create, and coordinate work.
- Build workflow and automation products that let teams delegate recurring, multi-step tasks to agents, including scheduled and event-triggered execution, human approvals, and visibility into progress and results.
- Build shared agent experiences that let teams delegate work, review results, and build on each other’s workflows, with clear ownership and handoffs between people and agents.
- Work directly with customers and internal teams to identify high-impact problems, validate ideas through rapid prototyping, and turn successful use cases into scalable, reusable products.
- Own products end to end, from problem definition and technical design through full-stack implementation, launch, and production reliability.
- Measure and improve activation, repeat usage, and workflow completion, using customer feedback and product experiments to drive sustained AI adoption.
- Partner with Product, Design, Sales, and engineering teams to turn customer needs and emerging AI capabilities into reliable product experiences.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of building and shipping production products end to end.
- Hands-on experience shipping applications with LLMs or AI agents, with good judgment about their capabilities and limitations and experience improving product quality through evaluation and user feedback.
- Strong software engineering and system design skills, with proficiency in Python or Go and the ability to work across backend services and user-facing applications.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into simple, effective product experiences for users with different levels of technical expertise.
- Comfort working directly with customers, moving quickly between discovery and implementation, and owning problems without a fully defined specification.
- Experience with enterprise, growth, or collaboration products is a plus.
If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every qualification listed above.
