Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to join our Data Engineering team based in London.
As the Data Platform Team, we strive to create the world’s leading, commercially scalable, safe, and advanced humanoid robots that seamlessly integrate into daily life and amplify human capacity.
We’re looking for experienced Engineers to help build our data platform from the ground up. You’ll have the opportunity to define its architecture, make key decisions, and shape how we handle and process petabyte-scale data in the near future.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build the Capability Factory - an internal platform designed for everyone from software engineers to non-technical operators, enabling the entire organization to teach HMND robots new skills at scale, from raw data all the way to deployed capabilities.
- Curate, preprocess, and manage large-scale datasets for humanoid robot training - a corpus of robot telemetry growing toward petabyte scale.
- Design and operate highly scalable data pipelines and the compute infrastructure that powers them, ensuring reliability and throughput as data volume and team demands grow.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of training data across multiple concurrent projects and robot platforms.
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to shape the Capability Factory, streamline MLOps, and build the evaluation workflows that close the loop between training runs and real-world robot performance.
- Build data warehouse solutions and BI dashboards that give stakeholders across the organization clear visibility into data collection, model progress, and operational health.
- Establish and uphold best practices for data management - versioning, access control, security, and compliance.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning and delivering complex systems end-to-end, not just contributing to them.
- Strong backend engineering - designing and operating production-grade APIs and services: clean data modeling, reliable error handling, performance under load.
- Data engineering at PB+ scale - building and maintaining pipelines that move, transform, and validate large volumes of data reliably; understanding of batch and streaming processing patterns, data quality, and schema evolution.
- Workflow orchestration at scale - designing and operating multi-step automated pipelines with retries, observability, and graceful failure handling.
- Distributed systems fundamentals - you understand how things break at scale: eventual consistency, idempotency, backpressure, job scheduling, and failure modes in distributed compute and storage.
- Cloud infrastructure fluency - you have shipped and operated real systems on a major cloud provider; you think about cost, reliability, and security as first-class concerns, not afterthoughts.
- Container orchestration - deploying and operating workloads on Kubernetes at a level where you can debug scheduling issues, design resource allocation, and reason about cluster health without guidance.
- Full-stack range - comfortable building both the backend and the frontend of an internal product; you can own a feature from database schema to UI without handing off.
- Production ownership mindset - you've been on-call, triaged incidents under pressure, and improved systems after postmortems. You take reliability personally.
Nice to Have
- ML infrastructure or MLOps experience - understanding of how training jobs run, how model artifacts are managed, and what makes an evaluation pipeline trustworthy; you've worked alongside or directly supported ML researchers.
- Distributed compute frameworks - experience with large-scale parallel data processing, whether for data transformation, model training, or evaluation.
- Domain knowledge in robotics or embodied AI - familiarity with robot data formats, sensor telemetry, or the sim-to-real evaluation loop is a significant head start.
- BI and data warehouse experience - building data models and dashboards that translate raw operational data into decisions for non-technical stakeholders.
- Dual-cloud or multi-cloud storage - experience reasoning about cost, latency, and consistency tradeoffs across storage providers.
- Frontend product sense - beyond just shipping features, you have opinions about what makes an internal tool actually usable by non-engineers.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
- 30+ paid days off, including 23 days of annual leave, all UK bank holidays, and additional company closure days (including Christmas–New Year shutdown).
- Private healthcare, including virtual and in-person care.
- Pension scheme with 8% total contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.
- Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in-office.
- Work at the frontier - collaborate daily with world-class engineers, researchers, and product experts building the next generation of AI and humanoid robotics.
- Real ownership - direct access to founding leadership, meaningful input on product direction, and the ability to drive key initiatives from day one.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Performance Marketing Lead (Google & Microsoft Ads), to lead and scale our advertising across the Ruby Labs portfolio.
This is a senior player-coach role. You will own Google Ads and Microsoft Ads execution across multiple brands, coach and develop acquisition managers, set account standards, improve performance, and protect account health across a large multi-brand setup.
You will be responsible for scaling spend profitably across Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube, and Microsoft Ads. You will conduct regular account audits, identify missed opportunities, and make sure every brand is using Google and Bing to their full potential.
This is not a reporting-only leadership role. You need to stay close to the accounts, understand the details, and be able to challenge strategy, structure, bidding, compliance, measurement, and execution yourself.
We also work AI-first. You will own the Google and Bing acquisition knowledge base inside Claude, including playbooks, audit frameworks, prompts, automations, QA checklists, and repeatable workflows that help the team operate faster and better.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Portfolio Performance
- Scale profitable spend across multiple brands, geos, languages, and funnels.
- Manage CPA, ROAS, CAC, and payback against real revenue data, not surface-level platform metrics.
- Conduct regular account audits across all brands to identify gaps, missed opportunities, inefficient structures, underused campaign types, weak signals, and scaling potential.
- Make sure every brand is fully utilizing Google and Microsoft Ads opportunities across Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube, and Microsoft Ads.
- Work with Managing Directors and UA Managers to translate brand targets into practical Google and Bing execution.
- Own channel-level recommendations for budget allocation, account structure, bidding approach, testing priorities, and scale-up opportunities.
- Partner with Google and Microsoft teams on betas, new campaign types, product changes, escalation paths, and platform-level opportunities.
Team Leadership
- Coach, teach, and develop acquisition managers working on Google and Microsoft Ads.
- Hire, onboard, manage, and, where necessary, make replacement decisions for Google and Bing acquisition talent.
- Own performance evaluation, goals, KPIs, feedback cycles, and personal development plans for the Google and Bing team.
- Set the performance bar and craft standards for the team.
- Review account work, train UA managers, and raise the overall quality of execution.
- Make sure every brand has clear ownership, weekly reporting, and strong channel support.
- Stay hands-on enough to audit accounts, challenge decisions, and guide execution from real account data.
Account Architecture & Governance
- Define standards for account structure, naming, conversion architecture, bidding, testing, reporting, documentation, and QA.
- Review major account changes before launch and make sure changes are hypothesis-driven, measured, and documented.
- Run monthly account audits across all Google and Microsoft Ads accounts.
- Maintain clean documentation so account knowledge, automations, tests, and learnings are not dependent on one person.
- Build repeatable standards that UA managers can follow across brands without losing brand-specific context.
Policy & Compliance
- Own Google and Microsoft Ads policy and compliance across all Ruby Labs brands.
- Protect account health across all brands.
- Own policy workflows for ad review, disapprovals, appeals, account restrictions, and escalation.
- Work closely with brand teams on ad-to-landing-page consistency, claims, pricing, funnel compliance, and policy-sensitive testing.
- Build prevention-first processes so policy issues are caught before launch.
- Maintain direct escalation paths with Google and Microsoft representatives.
- Have the authority to block launches that create material account or policy risk.
AI-First Operating System
- Own the Google and Bing acquisition knowledge base inside Claude, including playbooks, SOPs, audit frameworks, campaign QA checklists, prompts, and reusable workflows.
- Design AI-assisted workflows for keyword research, campaign builds, audits, QA, reporting, opportunity discovery, and optimization review.
- Train UA managers to use Claude workflows correctly and consistently in their daily Google and Bing work.
- Evaluate workflow quality, improve the knowledge base over time, and turn successful processes into repeatable team standards.
- Use AI to increase team speed and quality while keeping human judgment, compliance, and account safety at the center.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of hands-on paid search experience.
- Experience coaching, leading, hiring, and evaluating Google Ads specialists, UA managers, or paid search teams.
- Direct ownership of large Google Ads budgets, ideally $5M+ per month hands-on and $10M+ per month at portfolio level.
- Strong Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and YouTube experience.
- Microsoft Ads experience, including Microsoft Audience Network.
- Proven record scaling accounts profitably across multiple countries and languages.
- Strong understanding of subscription economics: LTV, CAC, ROAS, payback windows, cohorts, and value-based bidding.
- Deep Google Ads policy experience, including disapprovals, appeals, account restrictions, and compliance-heavy environments.
- Strong account architecture, audit, documentation, and measurement discipline.
- Ability to identify scaling opportunities and practical account improvements from account-level data.
- Clear, direct communication with both acquisition managers and senior stakeholders.

ABOUT MISTRAL
Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
Role Summary
The Data Infrastructure team at Mistral AI is architecting the backbone of our frontier model training and fine-tuning ecosystem. We are building the specialized compute and data fabrics required to power the development of world-class AI.
Our vision is to operate some of the largest compute fleets in production and build data lakes and metadata systems with a roadmap toward exabyte-scale architecture. We are currently in the process of building a high-performance training platform designed for massive scale across both on-premise and cloud-native Kubernetes environments.
We are leading a strategic transition from legacy scheduling to modern orchestration. With numerous clusters distributed across various regions, we are focussed on implementing sophisticated multi-cluster orchestration and cloud-bursting capabilities to better utilize our global resources and ensure our researchers have seamless access to compute wherever it resides. Our mission is to evolve our current systems into a platform that is as durable as it is flexible.
Location: Paris / Warsaw / Zurich / London (hybrid) or remote EU/UK with one hub visit per month.
About the Role
This role focuses on building and operating the next generation of data infrastructure at Mistral AI. You will be a core contributor to our evolution, helping us design and scale massive compute fleets and storage systems designed for high performance and scalability.
You will help us move toward a future of decoupled control and data planes, scaling big data compute and storage platforms while ensuring secure and governed data access for MLOps and research. You will take full lifecycle ownership: from architecting the migration away from legacy orchestrators to implementing production-grade pipelines and participating in on-call rotations for critical training jobs.
In this role, you will:
- Build & Scale: Help us reach our goal of operating massive distributed compute and storage systems
- Global Orchestration: Architect and maintain multi-cluster orchestration layers to optimize workload placement across diverse hardware and regions.
- Design Future-Proof Storage: Architect our transition to modern storage formats to handle fine-tuning datasets at a scale that anticipates exabyte growth.
- Platform Engineering: Contribute to the development of our internal training platform, ensuring seamless model training and fine-tuning capabilities across Kubernetes and SLURM based environments.
- Metadata & Lineage: Implement and manage systems to provide clear visibility and lineage as our data and model pipelines grow in complexity.
- Operational Excellence: Use modern deployment workflows to manage cloud-native deployments, ensuring our data platform can scale by orders of magnitude while remaining reliable and efficient.
YOU MIGHT THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU:
- Have 4+ years of experience in Data Infrastructure, MLOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Have experience or a strong interest in supporting foundational compute and storage platforms.
- Are proficient in Python and enjoy solving the "brittle data lake" problem with modern, columnar storage standards.
- Are well-versed in Kubernetes-native tooling and excited to debug large-scale distributed systems across multi-cluster environments.
- Take pride in building and operating scalable, reliable, and secure systems from the ground up.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and the challenges of building high-scale infrastructure in a rapid-growth AI environment.
Location and Remote
This role is primarily based at one of our European offices (Paris, London, Warsaw and Zurich). We will prioritize candidates who either reside there or are open to relocating. We strongly believe in the value of in-person collaboration to foster strong relationships and seamless communication within our team. In certain specific situations, we will also consider remote candidates based in one of the countries listed in this job posting — currently France, UK, Poland and Switzerland). In that case, we ask all new hires to visit the local hub:
• for the first week of their onboarding (accommodation and travelling covered)
• then at least 3 days per month
WHAT WE OFFER
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance. Benefits vary by country and may include healthcare coverage, parental leave, retirement plans, relocation support, wellness programs, meal and transportation allowances, and other location-specific perks.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Our mission on the Connectivity team is to make Claude the most connected AI. As agents take on more real-world work, we're taking a leading role in defining how they get access to external systems — safely, with the right permissions, and in ways enterprises can trust. We ship for
claude.ai
, Claude Code, Cowork, and the API. We own the MCP proxy that routes every tool call and the OAuth and token management that keeps connections authenticated. We're also core contributors to the MCP spec — now an open standard under the Linux Foundation — and maintain the official Python and TypeScript SDKs.
We're looking for an experienced engineering leader to lead a team of Connectivity engineers based in London. The Connectivity team spans San Francisco and London, and you'll work closely with engineering leadership and partner teams in San Francisco to set direction and deliver together across both sites. You'll lead a team working on problems where reliability and enterprise trust are the bar: token refresh at scale, admin controls that let IT govern what agents can do, and proxy infrastructure that stays up when partner servers don't.
Key responsibilities
Lead a team of engineers building the connectivity infrastructure that powers tool use across Anthropic's product suite, from the MCP proxy to OAuth and token management
Take an inclusive, equitable approach to hiring and coaching top technical talent, and maintain a high-performing team
Coach, mentor, and provide career development guidance to your direct reports, helping them set and achieve their professional goals
Partner with Connectivity engineering leadership in San Francisco, along with product, security, and platform teams, to define the team's roadmap and create clarity for the team in an ambiguous and evolving environment
Drive cross-team and cross-org alignment to ship work that spans
claude.ai
, Claude Code, Cowork, and the API, working effectively with teams primarily based in the US
Establish and drive adoption of engineering best practices within your team, including the operational rigor (on-call, incident response, postmortems) required for infrastructure that other teams and external partners depend on
Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Anthropic's engineering management team
Minimum qualifications
Experience managing software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
A technical background in backend or platform engineering, with the depth to guide architectural decisions and engage credibly in technical discussions
Experience operating production distributed systems, with an understanding of what reliability, observability, and incident response require at scale
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build consensus across teams and time zones
Demonstrated success building a culture of belonging, and of product and engineering excellence
Preferred qualifications
3+ years of experience as an engineering manager
Familiarity with MCP or experience contributing to open standards or open source ecosystems
Experience leading teams that collaborate closely with distributed or cross-timezone partner teams
Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts such as OAuth, token management, or identity systems
Experience building or operating API gateways, proxies, or multi-tenant platforms
Experience building for enterprise customers, including admin controls, governance, and compliance requirements
Experience working on AI/ML products or agentic systems
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
£255,000
—
£325,000 GBP
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

At ClickUp, we're building the future of work: the first truly converged AI workspace unifying tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and enterprise search, all supercharged by context-driven AI. We are an AI-native company. Every team member is expected to leverage AI daily, and we evaluate AI fluency as part of our hiring process. Join us and help redefine what's possible. 🚀
This role bridges infrastructure and product engineering: you'll build genuine partnerships across product, AI, and enterprise teams so that ownership is shared and velocity is never blocked by platform constraints. As a leader, you'll set a forward-looking cloud vision, proactively align with stakeholders across the business, and ensure the platform scales for multi-shard, multi-region growth while meeting security and compliance commitments (SOC 2, business continuity/disaster recovery, and enterprise security frameworks). You'll implement and drive the adoption of AI-powered tooling and autonomous agents within the infrastructure organization.
The Role:
- Cost Efficiency: Deliver measurable annual infrastructure savings by executing the migration of data workloads to EKS and self-hosting key services.
- Ingress Convergence: Deprecate legacy frontend ALBs and consolidate to a single EKS-managed ALB per shard, unblocking faster deployments across the org.
- Coverage & Bench Depth: Eliminate single points of ownership across Networking, OpenSearch, and Terraform through cross-training and targeted hiring.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Stand up a recurring alignment cadence with Product, AI, Enterprise, and Security so infra planning is driven by demand, not ad-hoc interrupts.
- Automation: Ship automated shard buildout via Backstage to remove manual toil from enterprise scaling.
- Reliability: Cut P0/P1 incidents attributed to Cloud Platform (DNS, ALB misconfiguration, EKS) through hardened ingress patterns and Terraform-policy guardrails. Own incident response and RCA follow-through for the team.
- Roadmap Ownership: Own and deliver against the team's roadmap for Agent enablement, centralized IaC, and deployment rollout acceleration, and contribute to the broader Cloud Platform strategy tied to AI and Enterprise revenue goals.
- Technical Leadership: Architect and contribute code to key initiatives (EKS migration, ALB consolidation, Backstage shard automation), and lead design reviews with senior engineers.
- People Leadership: Lead, grow, and retain a senior-heavy team distributed across the US, Canada, and Europe, spanning FTEs and contractors, with a focus on career development, cross-training, and bench depth.
- Vendor Management: Partner with Finance and leadership on AWS spend visibility and savings targets, manage contractor performance and budget, and keep a savings-pipeline mindset baked into planning.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 9+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering, including 5+ years in engineering management leading distributed teams of senior engineers while remaining hands-on.
- Deep AWS infrastructure mastery: EKS, networking (VPC/TGW/DNS), and Terraform at scale, with strong architectural judgment; able to review designs and guide senior engineers' technical decisions.
- Hands-on technical leadership: Actively architects, writes code, and develops systems alongside the team. You are a working engineer as well as a manager.
- Strategic roadmap ownership: Experience translating cloud priorities into 3–9 month team roadmaps tied to business outcomes across enterprise, AI, and cost, and delivering against them.
- Cross-team influence: Builds genuine partnerships across Product, Security, SRE, and DB orgs, driving shared ownership across traditional infra/product boundaries.
- Application-level curiosity: Genuinely understands what the product does, not just the infrastructure underneath, and extends ownership past traditional platform boundaries.
- People leadership: Proven experience managing, growing, and retaining senior, geographically distributed teams across FTE/contractor blends; builds bench depth and contributes to succession planning.
- Hiring: Experience running structured hiring loops and closing senior engineers, including into specialized gaps (networking, search, IaC).
- Operational rigor: Strong on-call instincts, incident ownership, and RCA follow-through.
- Security-first instincts: This team touches blast radius (auth enforcement, network isolation, shard boundaries). A verify-first, never-assume mindset is non-negotiable.
- AI & automation mindset: Uses AI tools daily in your own engineering work, with demonstrated appetite for DevSecOps agents, AI-assisted IaC migrations, and skills-based automation — a core part of the near-term roadmap.
- AI/ML infrastructure experience (strong plus): Scaling workloads like GPU orchestration, model-serving infrastructure, or cost-optimized compute for inference.
- Education: BS/MS in CS, Engineering, or equivalent.

What you’ll be part of
Garner is on a mission to transform the U.S. healthcare system — and we’re the only proven player doing exactly that. We partner with employers to redesign how healthcare works: applying 550+ proprietary clinical metrics across 80+ specialties to a dataset of 320M+ patients to identify the best-performing doctors, then using compelling incentives to steer members to the care that helps them get healthier, faster.
The result is a rare “win win” — better care and lower costs for both members and employers. In just five years, our work has helped over 2.5 million people access higher-quality care and saved $1B in healthcare costs. We recently raised our Series E and have doubled five years running. If you've ever wanted your work to solve a problem that touches every person in this country, this is the opportunity to do exactly that. You'd be joining a team fundamentally reimagining healthcare in the U.S. — and using AI to scale that impact further and faster than anyone else can.
About the role:
Financial Incentives (FIN) is where Garner's promise becomes real for a member: the moment they are paid back for choosing better care. Behind that simple experience sits one of the hardest problems in the company. FIN ingests claims and eligibility feeds from third-party administrators, adjudicates them against benefit rules, accumulates member benefit, and moves real funds through payments and treasury. It does this under heavy and growing load, carrying PHI and PII, at the point where high-volume data from outside partners first enters Garner. When FIN is right, members are paid accurately and on time. When it is wrong, the failure is financial and visible.
We are hiring a Director to lead FIN Engineering, accountable for the full function (ingestion, eligibility, adjudication, accumulation, and payments/treasury): its correctness, reliability, security, and the pace at which it improves. You will lead a large, multi-team function, own its multi-year roadmap, and contribute to company-wide planning. The role is hands-on-keys: you will stay close to the code, the designs, and the incidents to hold a real technical opinion, and set an engineering quality bar the rest of the department measures itself against.
You will report to the CTO and lead a group of Engineering Managers and senior individual contributors across FIN's value streams.
Where you will work:
This role will be based in our New York City office (in the Financial District). You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
What you will do:
Own the outcomes, ingestion through payment.
Define what "correct" means for adjudication and money movement, and be accountable for adjudication accuracy, payment timeliness, ledger reconciliation, ingestion SLAs, and the roadmap that moves them.
Set the bar and the pace.
Establish the validation standards and definition of "done" the function ships against and hold the line under delivery pressure, running a performance culture on evidence: highest-value work first, manual toil automated away, engineers accountable for outcomes.
Stay close to the work.
Join the hard design reviews, read the code, dig into incidents, and hold defensible technical positions on adjudication logic, event contracts, data modeling, and money movement.
Make agent-first the default.
Make AI-native engineering how FIN works, not a side experiment: build the harnesses, validation frameworks, and Claude Skills that let squads ship faster and safer, and mature the org from assisted toward autonomous with real guardrails.
Own the technical direction.
Guide the backend toward event-contract boundaries that let teams ship independently and scale to tens of millions of claims, with the fault tolerance a pipeline that cannot drop or double-pay a claim demands, and own the security and data-integrity posture at the edge where partner data enters and funds leave: validate, quarantine, and reconcile rather than assume the inputs are clean.
Build and grow the team.
Hire, level, and develop Engineering Managers and senior ICs, own interviewer calibration, and design the org's structure and decision rights so ownership is clear.
Translate across the business.
Partner with the CTO, Product, Finance, Operations, and payment partners to turn business needs into technical plans and communicate risk and tradeoffs in terms leaders can act on.
The ideal candidate has:
10+ years building and operating high-scale, high-reliability backend systems, ideally ones that process large data volumes and/or move money.
5+ years leading engineering teams, including managing managers, in a high-accountability, high-urgency environment.
Technical credibility at scale: you can reason through a design doc, a schema, or an incident timeline and write the validation criteria that catch failure.
An opinionated point of view on agent-first / AI-native engineering: not just that teams should use AI, but how to make it the default operating model and mature it safely from assisted toward autonomous.
Experience with the demands of sensitive data (regulated PHI/PII/financial data, unvalidated third-party inputs, encryption, access, audit) and an instinct for reconciliation-first design.
Fluency in distributed systems and modern cloud: event-driven architecture, idempotency, fault tolerance, backpressure, and data consistency under load, plus AWS and API design.
An ownership mindset: you move problems to resolution without being asked and optimize relentlessly for member and business impact.
A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback
What you'll get here:
You’ll work on problems that matter, at a company working to change healthcare at scale. You’ll work at the intersection of AI and systemic healthcare reform, where the problems we solve are as interesting and compelling as the mission.
At Garner, you’ll take on real, ambitious problems with real ownership and autonomy, alongside exceptional, principles-based people who genuinely want you to win. It’s demanding by design. You’ll be challenged to stretch beyond what you thought possible and receive consistent coaching to help you grow and do the best work of your career. This isn't the right fit for everyone, and that's intentional. The people here are driven by what's at stake for real people, and that's what gives our intensity its purpose.
Technologies we use:
Python, TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Kubernetes, Istio, Postgres, ElasticSearch, NATS, AWS, Terraform
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company in a transformative role, helping shape the future of healthcare.

Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
