About You
You own the Subscriptions roadmap. Your core job runs end to end: research and discovery, prioritization, pushing work into development, delivery, and then educating the sales team and preparing the documentation that ships with each release.
That means staying close to the publishers who run subscription businesses on Xsolla and to their subscribers. You find what moves retention and revenue, decide what gets built and in what order, and drive it from idea through delivery and adoption.
Subscriptions depend on many products across Xsolla. You'll work with a tech lead and engineers, and coordinate across Payments, Anti-fraud, Auth, Catalog, Shop Builder, LiveOps, Analytics, and others.
What we're building
Xsolla Subscriptions is a subscription monetization engine for games that covers the full lifecycle. Publishers use it to power battle passes, premium memberships, season passes, and other recurring mechanics — creating plans, running trials, and handling renewals, failed payments, and cancellations. Track subscribers, churn, and revenue in one place. As merchant of record, Xsolla also covers global recurring payments, tax, refunds, and chargebacks.
The team owns that whole surface: plans and pricing, renewals and retry logic, trials and grace periods, churn and recovery, and the subscriber and publisher experience.
About Us
Xsolla is a global commerce company with robust tools and services to help developers solve the inherent challenges of the video game industry. From indie to AAA, companies partner with Xsolla to help them fund, distribute, market, and monetize their games. Grounded in the belief in the future of video games, Xsolla is resolute in the mission to bring opportunities together, and continually make new resources available to creators. Headquartered and incorporated in Los Angeles, California, Xsolla operates as the merchant of record and has helped over 1,500+ game developers to reach more players and grow their businesses around the world. With more paths to profits and ways to win, developers have all the things needed to enjoy the game.

Responsibilities
Research and discovery.
Study competitors, interview publishers and partners to uncover their needs, and dig into subscriber and payment data to find what's worth building.
Collect requirements and design features.
Turn findings into clear requirements and feature designs.
Own the roadmap.
Decide what gets built, in what order, and why. Maintain a clear rationale the team and stakeholders can rely on.
Deliver and coordinate.
Drive features to production and keep the cross-product dependencies moving.
Post-delivery support.
Support marketing materials preparation, train the sales team, and prepare integration-team materials and public documentation.
Requirements
4+ years in product, with real time on subscription, billing, or payments products.
A solid understanding of subscription economics and lifecycle, ideally in games — battle passes, premium memberships, season passes, and others.
Comfort with billing mechanics: renewals, proration, dunning and retry, grace periods, refunds, chargebacks, and tax.
A track record of taking features from research to shipped, and making prioritization calls without full information.
Systems thinking: you understand how a pricing or billing decision compounds across many publishers and their subscribers.
Daily use of AI tools is assumed and expected. It is a significant plus if you have a strategic vision for applying machine learning to core subscription challenges—such as churn prediction, retry timing, and dynamic pricing—or possess hands-on experience in the field.
Why this team
Subscriptions are one of the fastest-growing forms of monetization in games — predictable revenue, low overhead, strong loyalty — and now outpace one-off and in-game purchases in growth. Small gains in recovery or conversion have a huge impact across thousands of publishers. You'll own a high-impact product with direct visibility to engineering and business leadership.
Benefits
We are passionate about fostering a supportive environment for our team, so we prioritize the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our employees through a comprehensive Benefits Program. This includes unlimited Flexible Time Off and a personalized career roadmap for each employee. By investing in professional development through training and educational opportunities, we ensure that our team thrives both personally and professionally. The duties and responsibilities of this position may evolve over time to support the organization’s goals and individual growth. This job description is intended to outline the general nature and level of work being performed and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required.

About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and motivated
Staff Technical Writer
to join our Product Documentation team as we support the company in achieving top-priority objectives & key results
Documentation at dbt is both a community asset and a foundational product surface. The Documentation team accelerates product adoption and user success by helping data practitioners learn, explore, and confidently use dbt.
We operate using a docs-as-code and docs-as-a-product approach within an open-source model, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, Developer Experience, and customer-facing teams. By balancing deep product knowledge with a beginner’s lens, we not only create accurate, easy-to-read documentation for humans and bots alike, but also surface insights that drive product improvements.
In this role, you’ll help new users reach their “a-ha” moment faster, support experienced practitioners as they expand into new areas of the ecosystem, and uphold the clarity, accuracy, and trust that our community depends on.
If you are looking for an exciting opportunity at a collaborative, dynamic and fast-growing company, this role could be for you!
What You'll Do
New feature writing for Product - 45%
Consistently creates effective docs plans for new feature writing projects
Starts conversations in key places, and involves stakeholders to keep everyone well-informed and focused on a world-class customer experience
Raises issues or suggests improvements to new features that advocate for user needs
Docs projects writing - 20%
Identifies and advocates for medium to large docs projects
Mentors less-senior writers on how to manage their time spent in docs-driven projects alongside new feature ships
Independently prioritizes the highest impact work beyond new feature ships
Addressing ongoing issues - 20%
Independently troubleshoots issue requests, and helps less-senior writers learn how to do the same
Has a solid understanding of when a swathe of issues can be folded into a larger content strategy improvement project instead of addressing each issue singularly
Independently notices overarching issues in our docs and figures out how to address them
Focuses on more complex issues, while analyzing data across multiple dimensions to evaluate solutions and drive decisions
Triages and reviews open source PRs and issues, and alerts the team when these are piling up
Peer reviewing - 15%
Provides and explains their insightful and compassionate editorial and technical feedback when reviewing the work of peers
When providing feedback, consistently notices gaps in pages outside of the pages contained in the pull request they’re reviewing. They evaluate the problem being solved instead of just the pages being submitted for review.
Gains agreement, consolidates differing opinions, and enables team to move forward
Reviews are consistently centered around clarifying the experience for users
Skills We're Looking For
Required:
Minimum 5 years writing technical documentation for developer tools, including a solid understanding of version control and single-sourcing content, and experience managing documentation systems.
Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and carry out complex writing projects with high attention to detail along the way.
Ability to compassionately give and receive editorial and technical feedback.
Communicate clearly and concisely, especially when working asynchronously or with a distributed team.
Preferred:
Experience with dbt or data
Previous experience as a senior member of a formal documentation team working collaboratively with other writers, editors, and teams.

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) platform team. This is an individual contributor role with outsized technical scope: you'll be the technical anchor for how Xsolla builds secure, high-scale auth infrastructure — setting direction, making hard architectural calls, and raising the bar across the org.
You will own the strategy behind authentication, authorization, and session management at scale, and evolve our OAuth 2.0 / OIDC flows and token lifecycle to meet both product and compliance needs. You operate with significant autonomy, but your decisions ripple across teams — so you'll spend real time building buy-in with engineering and security stakeholders, not just designing in isolation.
You are technically deep, calm under pressure, and comfortable being the escalation point when production IAM issues get hard. You write the RFCs and design docs that people actually read, and you create leverage for the broader engineering org through documentation, tooling, and mentorship — without needing a management title to do it.
HOW WE WORK
Xsolla operates across multiple time zones, and the IAM platform underpins authentication and authorization for every product we ship. Strong written communication is essential — your architectural decisions and designs need to stand on their own and be actionable without you in the room.
We value directness, technical depth, and follow-through. If a design or production issue has real security or reliability implications, we expect you to say so clearly, defend your position with evidence, and stay engaged until it's resolved.

About the role
🤓
We are looking for a
Senior Analytics Engineer
to own the analytics enablement layer across seQura's core business domains — building the trusted, well-governed data foundation that business, product, and data science teams rely on to make decisions and ship models.
This role sits at the intersection of data modeling, business domain understanding, governance, and semantic precision. You will design and deliver production-grade dbt models, shape the semantic layer to be AI-ready, and set the quality bar for the analytics enablement team. You will work closely with business circle leads, Data Scientists, across Risk, Finance, Payments, and Collections, and the Platform and Data Engineering team.
What challenges you'll be solving 🚀
Championing a single source of truth for core business metrics — unifying definitions, socializing, and governing the canonical KPIs used across seQura, so that whether a metric appears in a dashboard, a DS model, or an executive report, it means the same thing.
Building domain data products that serve both operational reporting and ML feature needs, ensuring downstream teams can self-serve reliably.
Designing, building, and shipping production-grade dbt models across multiple business domains — Payments, Debt Collection, Risk, and Finance — writing clean, well-tested, and well-documented SQL.
Owning the governance layer: data contracts, column-level lineage, tests, and semantic definitions — not just shipping models, but making them trustworthy.
Structuring the semantic layer to be machine-readable and AI-ready, supporting both self-serve BI and AI-powered use cases.
Setting and upholding standards for testing, documentation, and data quality across the analytics engineering team.
Collaborating closely with Data Scientists, circle leads, and the Platform team to understand domain logic deeply and translate it into precise, unambiguous data models.
Making cross-domain architectural decisions with a systems mindset — thinking beyond individual models to how the full data layer fits together.
About the Data team
🧩
Team mission
To turn seQura's raw data into trusted, well-governed data products that power decision-making across the company.
The team builds the foundations that enable Product, Finance, Risk, Payments, Data Science, and AI teams to work with reliable, consistent, and discoverable data, ensuring everyone speaks the same language when making decisions.
What we own
The dbt transformation layer across business domains
The Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for key business metrics
Semantic models that enable consistent reporting and analytics
Data contracts and governance standards across domains
Data lineage, documentation, and discoverability
Data quality, testing, and monitoring to ensure trusted data products
Team Structure
The Analytics Engineering team consists of four Analytics Engineers working alongside a Data Governance Lead and reporting to the Head of Data.
The team partners closely with business stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Payments, and Collections, while collaborating with Data Platform, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams to ensure data products are reliable, scalable, and easy to consume.
How we work
Product mindset: we treat datasets as products, with clear ownership, quality standards, and consumers.
Strong focus on data governance, documentation, and discoverability.
Collaboration with business stakeholders to translate operational concepts into trusted data models.
Analytics Engineering sits at the intersection of business knowledge, software engineering, and data architecture.
Continuous improvement through testing, observability, and reusable modeling patterns.
What to expect in the next 90 days
🏁
Month 1:
You'll immerse yourself in seQura's data ecosystem, becoming familiar with our dbt project, semantic models, and governance principles. You'll work closely with business stakeholders and fellow Analytics Engineers to understand your domain, existing data models, and opportunities to improve consistency and data quality.
Month 2:
You'll deliver your first production-ready dbt models for your assigned business domain, applying testing, documentation, and governance best practices. You'll begin contributing to the team's standards around data quality, maintainability, and semantic consistency.
Month 3:
You'll take ownership of a meaningful portion of the Single Source of Truth within your domain, enabling downstream teams to confidently self-serve reliable data. You'll also contribute to cross-domain initiatives, helping define shared semantic models, governance standards, and reusable data patterns across the organization.
Tech stack & environment
🛠️
Our modern data platform is built on AWS, with dbt at the heart of our transformation layer and Redshift as our analytical data warehouse.
Analytics Engineers work extensively with SQL and dbt to build trusted, reusable data models, while leveraging Git-based development workflows, automated testing, documentation, and data quality monitoring to ensure reliable data products.
The team collaborates closely with Data Platform and Data Engineering, building on top of cloud-native infrastructure and contributing to a governed data ecosystem designed to support analytics, business intelligence, and AI use cases across seQura.
What you’ll need 🤝
5+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, with a strong track record of building and delivering production-grade data models (mandatory).
Genuine curiosity about the business domains you model — you want to understand what decisions are made using the data not just how the data looks
Strong hands-on dbt experience: modeling, testing, data contracts, documentation — not just running dbt, but understanding how to design a reliable model layer (mandatory).
Expert SQL on a modern cloud data warehouse (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar).
Systems thinking: ability to make cross-domain architectural decisions, not just implement individual models. You see how the pieces fit together.
Semantic precision: you write metric definitions and data documentation that are unambiguous to both humans and AI agents.
Experience with Python for data tasks is a plus.
Familiarity with data governance and lineage tooling (OpenMetadata or similar) is a plus.
Fintech or financial services domain knowledge is a plus.
English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.
