About The Opportunity
You will have the opportunity to join a team responsible for designing the industry's leading Crypto trading system, including Spot, Margin, Perpetuals, Futures, Options, and various risk control models such as simple account, single-currency margin, multi-currency margin, and portfolio margin.
This system supports daily trading volumes of over ten billion USD for both retail and institutional clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
The plumbing of the exchange.
Order management, matching, margin, risk engine, lending/borrowing — across both spot and derivatives. When you ship, millions of trades route through your work the same day.
Infrastructure that holds up where others can't operate.
You'll work directly with Legal, Compliance, and local market teams — not to check boxes, but to design systems that clear the highest regulatory bar in finance. That bar is our moat.
Outlearning the competition.
Talk to traders, take apart competing systems, and decide where we lead vs. fast-follow — across crypto and TradFi.
The instruments that show us the market first.
Build the data and monitoring layer that gives us situational awareness of our own stack and the broader industry. If something's drifting, breaking, or shifting — you know before anyone else.
The 3–12 month direction.
Decide what we build next, and when, based on product lifecycle, competitive landscape, and what our capacity actually is — not what makes the deck look good.
Shipping through.
From spec to launch, you're the person who gets it out the door — pulling engineering, design, ops, and marketing into alignment without becoming the bottleneck.
The AI harness and agent architecture for your domain.
Design and ship multi-step agent workflows — tool use, retrieval, evaluation, human-in-the-loop checkpoints — that power how Core Trading operates. Spec agents the way you spec products.
What We Look For In You
Bachelor's degree or above in mathematics, physics or computer science major.
5+ years experience in building sophisticated backend systems in either crypto or Traditional Finance industry.
AI native skillset that allow you to ship at 10x because you automate the work flow first.
Possess rigorous logical thinking, excellent teamwork, communication skills and be able to coordinate resources to solve problems and achieve goals between different departments.
You possess a strong interest in trading, blockchain and the financial industry.
You are proactive, enthusiastic and sensitive to customers' feedback from a product lens.
Fluent in English and Mandarin (to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients / cross-teams).
Nice-To-Haves
Trading experience in sophisticated institutions.
Excel in quantitative research with various mathematics tools.
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
More that we love to tell you along the process!

The engineering team at Chainalysis is inspired by solving the hardest technical challenges and building products that establish trust in cryptocurrencies. We're a global organization that thrives on challenging work and doing it alongside exceptionally talented teammates. Our industry evolves rapidly, and our mission is to build a flexible, AI-driven platform that automates entity resolution, optimizes data labeling pipelines, and creates predictive models that identify illicit patterns before they escalate.
Our data and solutions have been used to solve some of the world's most high-profile criminal cases and grow consumer access to cryptocurrency safely. Now, by pairing the industry's most trusted blockchain data with agents that reason, investigate, and act, we help our customers scale their workflows as the cryptocurrency economy becomes increasingly mainstream.
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in the Investigations group, you'll be a technical leader on the Government Systems team — the group responsible for the deployment platform and operational infrastructure that delivers Chainalysis Reactor to government and high-security customers.
The mission of the Government Systems team is to ensure that Chainalysis's most security-sensitive customers can run Reactor reliably in their own environments — including networks with strict access controls and limited connectivity. Government Systems sits at the intersection of infrastructure operations and product delivery. Product teams own their application code, but rely on Government Systems to provision environments, manage release pipelines, and operate the deployment platform. As a senior engineer you will be the connective tissue between these groups — setting technical direction, resolving cross-cutting issues, and ensuring the platform evolves to meet growing demands.
Note: This position requires eligibility to access U.S. Government information and systems. Due to applicable government security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Due to collaboration with Europe, we are highly prioritizing candidates based in EST timezone.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead the design and evolution of RKE2 Kubernetes clusters across development, acceptance, and production environments — driving upgrades, capacity planning, networking strategy, and operational resilience
- Architect and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform) to provision and manage AWS-based environments, establishing patterns and modules that the team can scale with confidence
- Own the CI/CD platform (GitHub Actions) end-to-end — designing pipeline architecture, improving build performance, and ensuring releases flow reliably through staged environments
- Drive GitOps-based delivery strategy using Flux CD, defining standards for Helm charts and Kustomize overlays and ensuring consistent reconciliation across clusters
- Define container image lifecycle policies — building, signing, storing, and distributing images across OCI registries for multiple deployment targets
- Identify and eliminate operational toil through automation, improving environment provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes at a systemic level
- Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices — owning dashboards, runbooks, and post-incident reviews that raise platform reliability over time
- Serve as a technical point of contact for product service teams integrating into the deployment pipeline — unblocking teams, troubleshooting complex environment issues, and advocating for infrastructure best practices
- Own the security posture of the deployment platform — managing secrets, certificates, RBAC policies, and security configurations to meet compliance and operational security requirements
- Mentor and grow other engineers on the team through code review, pairing, design discussions, and knowledge sharing
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Deep experience operating Kubernetes in production at scale — cluster lifecycle management, Helm, networking, persistent storage, performance tuning, and complex workload troubleshooting
- Expert-level proficiency with Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure across multiple environments, including module design and state management strategies
- Strong Linux systems administration skills (RHEL or similar — networking, storage, systemd, performance analysis, shell scripting)
- Extensive experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar), with a focus on reliability, speed, and developer experience
- Deep familiarity with AWS services commonly used in infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, EBS, Lambda, and related networking and security services)
- A strong operational mindset — you take ownership of reliability, think about failure modes proactively, and build automation to prevent recurring issues before they impact customers
Nice to have experience:
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Flux CD or ArgoCD in complex, multi-environment setups — including designing promotion strategies and managing drift
- Familiarity with container registry operations, image distribution, OCI artifact management, and image signing or verification workflows
- Experience managing databases in Kubernetes environments (e.g., PostgreSQL operators, stateful workloads, backup and recovery strategies)
- Familiarity with Kafka or other message brokers in a containerized environment, including operational management and scaling
- Experience with configuration management or automation tools (Ansible or similar) at fleet scale
- Advanced scripting proficiency in Python for infrastructure automation, tooling, and integration work
- Experience supporting environments with strict security or compliance requirements (FedRAMP, FIPS, IL environments, or similar)
- Exposure to or passion for the cryptocurrency technology ecosystem
Technologies we use:
- Kubernetes: RKE2, Helm, Kustomize, Flux CD
- Cloud provider: AWS (EC2, S3, EBS, VPC, IAM, Lambda)
- Infrastructure as code: Terraform
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, semantic-release
- Monitoring and alerting: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Humio
- Scripting and automation: Shell, Python
- Container registries: OCI/Docker
- Database management: PostgreSQL
- Event streaming: Kafka
- Operating systems: RHEL, Rocky Linux, Amazon Linux
AI at Chainalysis
AI is not a feature at Chainalysis - it is a new way of working. One that turns instructions into work done, and helps us move faster than the threats we're built to counter, and we expect our employees to take ownership of the output and ensure quality. As the world's most trusted blockchain analytics platform, Chainalysis sits at a rare intersection of proprietary data, regulatory relationships and crypto expertise that makes it uniquely placed to shape and lead the next era of AI-driven intelligence - and we expect everyone here, regardless of role, to be an active part of it.
AI fluency is tied directly to how we measure performance and how we plan to win. There is no substitute for your own curiosity. We provide the tools, workflows, and space to experiment - but the expectation is that you develop these capabilities yourself, bring ideas, and collaborate across teams to reinvent the way work gets done. We are not using AI to do less. We are using it to do what was never possible before.

Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform.
We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe.

We're actively expanding our reach across key EU markets like Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain.
At Finom, we’re not just redefining the entrepreneurial experience — we’re empowering our employees to make a real difference. Your work matters, and your impact extends far beyond product metrics. We nurture innovation and an inspiring work environment where bold ideas thrive, prioritizing thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and our business as a whole.
Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business.
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who thinks like a product builder, thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, and is passionate about creating robust, scalable financial infrastructure. You'll be part of a domain team where various engineering crafts (Backend, Frontend, Mobile, ML/AI engineers, and QA) work together to own and evolve a shared product area that delivers real value to hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe.
About You and What You'll Do:
You're pragmatic, learn quickly, and have a proven track record of shipping products that matter. You communicate clearly across disciplines and genuinely enjoy the dynamics of a cross-functional team where everyone contributes to solving the same customer problems. Above all, you're curious – about the product, the users, the business, and how your technical decisions impact all three.
As a product-minded backend engineer, you don't just implement tickets. You understand the "why" behind what you're building, challenge assumptions when needed, and proactively identify opportunities to create better outcomes. You're comfortable discussing trade-offs with product managers, explaining technical constraints to business stakeholders, and collaborating with frontend and mobile engineers to design elegant end-to-end solutions.
You have deep expertise in .NET and C# with a strong appreciation for maintainable, scalable code, and distributed architectures. But more importantly, you know when to apply that expertise and when simpler solutions serve the product better. You've built data-intensive applications before and understand the concepts of working in a regulated environment.
You take ownership not just of your code, but of the outcomes. You move without being prompted, whether that's jumping into a customer issue, improving team processes, or mentoring colleagues. You're curious about adjacent domains – you might peek at the frontend code, ask questions about the ML models, or dive into analytics to understand how features perform.
Quality is non-negotiable for you. Automated testing, thorough code reviews, and security best practices are fundamental to how you work. You balance technical excellence with pragmatism, always keeping the end user and business goals in mind.
Your experience includes:
At least 5 years of professional backend development with a product engineering mindset
Excellent knowledge of .NET platform and C#
Hands-on experience architecting and evolving distributed systems in production
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and engineers from other disciplines
Strong business acumen – you understand how your work connects to company objectives
Clear, concise communication in English across technical and non-technical audiences
A builder's mentality: you care deeply about shipping great products, not just writing great code
Our tech stack
Backend: .NET/C#, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes, GCP.
You'll work alongside teams using React (Web), Swift (iOS) / Kotlin (Android), Python/ML frameworks, and modern test automation tools (Playwright, Appium).
