The Connectors team is the bridge between ClickHouse and the broader ecosystem. We build and maintain the integrations that make ClickHouse accessible to millions of developers, data practitioners, and AI agents worldwide, from high-level data visualization plugins (Tableau, PowerBI, Superset, Metabase) to connectors for data frameworks (Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka Connect, Fivetran), orchestration platforms, and AI tooling.
Our work directly shapes how companies process massive datasets: real-time analytics platforms that ingest millions of events per second, observability systems that monitor global infrastructure, and, increasingly, AI-powered data applications that redefine how teams work with data. We collaborate closely with the open-source community, internal teams, and enterprise users to ensure ClickHouse integrations set the standard for performance, reliability, and developer experience.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in the AI & ML ecosystem, you'll be a core contributor owning and evolving critical parts of ClickHouse's AI ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of high-performance database engineering and developer experience. You'll craft tools that enable Engineers and Data Scientists to harness ClickHouse's speed and scale in the frameworks they already use.
We're looking for someone who has firsthand experience as an AI & MLEngineer or Data Scientist. The data practitioner's world is shifting rapidly: databases are no longer just query targets, but they're becoming active participants in AI-powered workflows, serving as vector stores for RAG pipelines, backends for LLM-powered agents, and real-time feature stores for ML inference. You understand these workflows not from the outside, but because you've operated within them. You don't just build integrations, you bring product-level insight into what we should build and why.
You'll own the full lifecycle of key AI/ML integrations, driving architecture, performance, and feature direction across AI & LLM Ecosystem: LangChain, LlamaIndex, n8n, and broader AI tooling: embedding pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation with ClickHouse as a vector store, ML feature stores, and LLM-powered data applications.
ClickHouse's columnar architecture and query performance make it exceptionally well-positioned in this new landscape. Your job is to make that potential real: building the robust, production-ready connectors that make ClickHouse the natural choice when data practitioners design their next-generation AI and data systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own and evolve ClickHouse's Python connector and SDK ecosystem, raising the bar on performance, reliability, and API design
- Drive the AI/LLM integration strategy: designing connectors and patterns that make ClickHouse a natural fit in RAG architectures, ML feature pipelines, and LLM-powered data applications
- Engage actively with the open-source community: triage issues, support contributors, advocate for users, and shape the roadmap based on real-world feedback
- Collaborate with Product, Cloud, and other engineering teams to align integration work with broader platform priorities
- Bring a practitioner's perspective to roadmap decisions, grounding prioritization in genuine Data Engineer and Data Scientist workflows
ABOUT YOU
- 7+ years of software development experience, including hands-on time as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer
- Deep, proven experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade Python connectors, SDKs, or integrations for at least one major platform (orchestration, BI, MLOps, or data transformation)
- Hands-on experience applying AI/ML in production data-engineering contexts: embedding generation, vector search, feature pipelines, or LLM-powered tooling that shipped and ran in production
- Solid experience with the Python data ecosystem: Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic, and related libraries
- Strong database fundamentals: SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and familiarity with OLAP/analytical databases
- Solid experience with concurrent Python: threading, multiprocessing, and async patterns
- Outstanding written and verbal communication; comfortable collaborating across engineering functions and with open-source communities
Bonus points for:
- Prior experience as a Data Engineer or Data Scientist in a product-facing or platform role
- Familiarity with ClickHouse or similar high-performance OLAP platforms
- Familiarity with the JVM ecosystem
- Experience deploying AI/ML models in production, including inference APIs and vector databases
- Familiarity with tools like dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect is a plus

Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?
Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.
Department overview:
At PlayStation, Data Science plays a critical role in shaping how we invest in, retain, and delight our global player base. The
CLV team
focuses on understanding player behaviour and driving more effective engagement across the player lifecycle — from acquisition and onboarding through to retention, monetisation, and long-term value.
As a
Data Scientist
, you will develop models and insights that help drive more personalised player experiences and inform commercial and product decisions at scale. You will work in cross-functional teams to translate player behaviour into actionable strategies that drive measurable improvements in player engagement and value.
This role is ideal for an individual who is comfortable owning problems end-to-end — from framing and modelling through to delivering impact — and partnering with stakeholders to support data-informed decision-making.
What you’ll be doing:
Own the development and delivery of machine learning models for use cases such as churn prediction, purchase propensity, store recommendations, customer lifetime value.
Translate business problems into modelling approaches, selecting appropriate methods and features to deliver measurable impact.
Work with large-scale behavioural and transactional data to uncover patterns and opportunities for player growth and engagement.
Collaborate within cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and commercial stakeholders, to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
Partner with stakeholders across commercial, finance, and lifecycle teams to support decision-making with data-driven insights.
Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Develop and expand your understanding of more advanced modelling approaches (e.g. deep learning and sequence-based methods) as part of solving increasingly complex problems.
What we are looking for:
You're curious, analytical, and a strong problem-solver, with a structured approach to tackling business problems. You bring strong foundations in modelling and data manipulation, and are motivated by applying these to impactful, commercial problems.
Experience building predictive models (e.g. churn, propensity, segmentation, or value modelling) in a commercial setting.
Ability to independently take a problem from definition through to solution and delivery, demonstrating initiative and ownership.
Proficiency in Python and SQL, and familiarity with common data science and ML libraries.
Solid understanding of machine learning techniques (e.g. regression, tree-based models, clustering) and when to apply them, including how to refine and tune them for real-world problems.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate insights and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Awareness of modern machine learning approaches (e.g. embeddings, sequence models, deep learning) and interest in applying them to real-world problems.
Experience working with large datasets to generate actionable insights.
A strong academic background, typically a Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative or technical field (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science).
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with production environments, MLOps, or data pipelines.
Experience working with large-scale data using PySpark or equivalent distributed data processing tools.
Experience in gaming, e-commerce, or subscription-based products.
Benefits:
Discretionary bonus opportunity
Private Medical Insurance

- Own platform-native social strategy across X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging channels: define what ClickUp's voice, format, and engagement approach looks like on each, tailored to what works on that platform
- Develop and execute content and engagement strategies that drive measurable growth in reach, engagement, and audience quality
- Identify trends, conversations, and cultural moments worth engaging with, and move fast enough to capitalize on them
- Build AI-powered systems and automated workflows to execute social strategy at scale: monitoring, engagement, response, and content distribution
- Create feedback loops between social performance data and strategy; use signal to iterate what gets made and how it gets distributed
- Own proactive engagement: identify and engage relevant conversations, mentions, and opportunities using AI-powered monitoring and automated response workflows
- Develop automated systems that handle routine engagement while escalating high-value or brand-sensitive conversations to humans
- Own execution end-to-end: strategy through measurement, with clear accountability for outcomes
- Partner with content creators, influencer team, and brand to ensure systems amplify their work
- Establish and report on social growth KPIs with clear attribution
Requirements:
- 5-7+ years in social media strategy with demonstrated expertise in platform-native content and engagement strategy (you know what works on X vs. LinkedIn vs. TikTok and why)
- Proven track record of growing social presence with strategic intent: not just posting more, but understanding the mechanics of each platform and exploiting them
- Strong creative taste and editorial instinct for what resonates on social: you can look at a piece of content and know whether it'll hit before it goes live
- 2+ years building AI-powered systems and automated workflows to scale social execution (monitoring, engagement, response, distribution). Using ChatGPT to draft captions is not sufficient.
- Technical fluency: comfortable with APIs, automation platforms (Zapier, Make, custom), and can deploy integrations between systems without an engineer
- Strong strategic thinker who takes things from 0 to 1 independently: vision to execution, measurable outcomes, zero hand-holding
- Data-obsessed: builds dashboards, runs experiments, iterates based on signal not gut
