As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Senior Software Engineer – Applied AI & Streaming
Aliso Viejo, CA
The vision
We think AI will change what cloud gaming can be. It can make streamed play faster, more personal, and more accessible, and in some ways better than playing locally. As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you'll build agents and inference-backed systems into a real-time streaming platform and ship them to players. You'll work where AI meets performance-sensitive systems, and a lot of the problems here are still being defined.
What you'll do
Design, prototype, and ship AI-powered capabilities across our streaming platform and player experience.
Apply inference and agents to real-time performance, player engagement, personalization, and accessibility.
Use AI to understand, optimize, and evolve large existing codebases, including our streaming stack.
Build and extend our platform in C++, and help shape the technologies and architecture we use next.
Build what production AI needs: evaluation, telemetry, guardrails, fallbacks, and attention to latency and cost.
Turn ambiguous ideas into demos and experiments, measure what works, and harden it for production.
Work AI-natively every day, using coding agents, automation, and rapid exploration, and help the team do the same.
Work with a small, focused engineering team and with partners across streaming, platform, and cloud.
You're a great fit if you have
A BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Senior-level software engineering experience with a track record of owning complex systems end to end.
Strong C++ skills from professional work in production codebases.
Hands-on experience building and deploying agents or AI-powered features in production. You've worked through evals, regressions, latency, cost, and the ways these systems fail.
A strong grasp of how to turn models into products, including context and prompt design, tool use and orchestration, memory and retrieval, model selection, and where inference should run.
Fluency with AI-native engineering workflows.
Product judgment. You can tell when AI makes an experience better and when it's a gimmick.
The ability to work in ambiguity, move quickly, and keep momentum as priorities change.
Clear communication, strong ownership, and a habit of making the people around you better.
Bonus XP
Python, Rust, or other languages used to build and serve AI systems.
Low-latency or on-device inference, model optimization, or GPU experience.
Real-time media, game streaming, graphics, or video experience.
Cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or production platform experience.
Experience building conversational or agentic experiences for games or interactive products.
Linux or Windows systems experience.
Japanese language or cross-cultural collaboration experience.
You enjoy playing video games.
Why join us
Work on AI problems most engineers never get to. In real-time systems, every millisecond counts, and so does every inference call.
Help set the direction. Our AI strategy is still taking shape, and you'll help decide what we build, not just how.
Get real ownership. You'll join a small, senior team where ideas go from prototype to production quickly.

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to hiring remote across the US — we also have offices in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, London, Paris, and Tel Aviv.
We're looking for a Designer, Growth (Product Marketing) to sit at the intersection of brand, performance marketing, and generative media. This is not a brand systems or campaign concepting role — it's a high-volume, output-driven design role. You'll own the visual execution of paid and performance marketing across video, motion, and static formats, producing assets that are on-brand, well art directed and built to convert. You'll report to the Creative Director of Product Marketing.
Your work will directly shape how people first encounter and engage with Runway's products. That means producing scroll-stopping video ads, designing static and animated assets for paid social and display, and using generative tools — including Runway's own — as a core part of how you work. You'll partner closely with product marketing, growth, and creative teams, and you'll be measured on craft, throughput, and performance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and produce high volumes of performance marketing assets across video, motion, and static formats — paid social, display, YouTube and beyond
- Use Runway to ideate, create and iterate on video and image assets that are on-brand and well art directed — not just technically functional
- Own the visual execution of ad creative from concept through final delivery, working from briefs or generating your own directions when needed
- Produce motion graphics and animated ads that communicate product value quickly and compellingly
- Partner with the Product Marketing and growth team to develop integrated ad concepts where copy and design work together
- Build and iterate on creative variants for A/B and multivariate testing — adapting formats, hooks and visual treatments based on performance data
- Maintain a consistent visual language across all performance touchpoints without letting assets feel templated or stale
- Collaborate with product marketing on go-to-market launches, translating new product capabilities into visual stories that resonate with target audiences
- Hands-on experience designing for the major paid channels (Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc) with fluency in each platform's native specs, aspect ratios and ad formats, and a real point of view on what works where.
- Own updates to GTM assets and templates, keeping them current and on-brand across campaigns. Bring hands-on experience building and automating deck design systems, so our presentations stay consistent without manual rework each time.
- Contribute to a growing library of on-brand design components, motion templates and generative prompting strategies that raise the team's overall output velocity
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 4+ years of experience in performance marketing design, motion design, or a related role at a tech or consumer company
- A portfolio that shows range across video ads, motion graphics and static performance creative — with clear evidence of craft and art direction judgment, not just execution
- Strong motion design skills — you're fluent in After Effects, Premiere, or equivalent, and can produce polished animated and video assets independently
- Solid graphic design fundamentals — typography, layout, color — applied to high-converting ad formats, not just editorial or brand work
- Hands-on experience using AI image and video generation tools with an art director's eye — you know how to prompt, iterate and finish work that looks intentional
- Comfort with performance data — you can look at creative metrics and know what visual changes to make next
- Ability to operate at high velocity across multiple simultaneous campaigns without sacrificing quality
- Experience working closely with growth marketers and product teams in a fast-moving environment
- Experience in AI, creative tools or developer-adjacent products is a strong plus
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.

ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Senior Electronics Engineer
- Location: Warsaw, Poland
- Department: Engineering
- Reports to: Engineering Lead, AOCS Hardware
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Office
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
You design and own the embedded electronics that give ICEYE’s spacecraft the ability to sense their environment, make decisions, and act, safely and reliably, in orbit. Working closely with firmware and systems engineers, you take hardware from first schematics through bring-up, verification, and on-orbit support, always looking for ways to make the next design more robust than the last.
Your job will be to work closely with production teams, operations teams, and software teams to ensure smooth and performant operation of our Attitude and Orbit Control Systems in development and deployed environments. Expect to be involved in the complete lifecycle of the system - from design phases of next-generation architectures to maintenance and optimization of existing systems we and our customers operate.
We move fast. At ICEYE, you are expected to understand the whole system - not just your slice of it - and to iterate quickly. Designs you work on today can be launched to orbit within months, not years. This is an environment where your decisions carry real weight and your work becomes tangible faster than almost anywhere else in the industry.
You will have a direct impact on mission success as the performance and reliability of our AOCS electronics directly affect the operational capabilities we deliver to our customers and the overall performance of our fleet.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.
ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
