Location: Espoo
Workplace: Hybrid
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Staff/Lead Product Designer, Design System
- Location: Espoo, Uusimaa, Finland
- Department: Product Management
- Reports to: Director of Product Design
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid (3 days / week in office)
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
We don't have a design system. What we have is a set of products built fast, for users who needed the imagery yesterday, that share a brand without sharing much else. Buttons that quietly disagree with each other. Spacing as a matter of personal taste. Several defensible ways to build a table, none of them the same. Nobody was sloppy - this is what shipping under real pressure leaves behind, and the interest on it now comes out of every sprint.
As a Staff / Lead Product Designer, you'll build the thing from nothing. That starts small and slightly unglamorous: a Figma library people actually reach for and a design playbook that settles the arguments worth settling. Then tokens with a structure that holds. Then components in code, documented well enough that nobody has to ask you how they work. By the time it's a design system in the full sense, the hardest part - people using it by default - is already solved, because you'll have built it in the open with the teams who had to adopt it.
This is a hands-on, opinionated, sleeves-rolled-up role. You'll be the highest craft bar in the domain and the person who raises everyone else's. You'll spend as much time with frontend engineers as with designers, quite possibly in their repo.
Real ownership. Very little existing process to inherit. If that sounds like a warning, it isn't. It's the job.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system. ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific..
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Start with a library and a playbook. Grow it into a system. Early on that means a Figma library, shared foundations and written guidance that gives teams a default instead of a decision. Later it means token architecture, components in code and documentation that scales past you. You'll decide the sequence, what's a token and what's a local decision, and where the line sits between flexibility and consistency. Those calls are yours to make, not to wait for.
- Co-design with frontend, in the code. Our engineers will build most of the components. You'll be in the conversation about props, state and composition, reading PRs and prototyping in a branch when that's the fastest way to prove a point. Figma is where you think, not where the system ends up living.
- Sell it. Repeatedly. A design system nobody adopts is a very tidy failure. You'll make the case to product managers, engineers and leadership, run office hours, and do migration work yourself when that's what unblocks a team.
- Set and hold the craft bar. Across the whole domain, at the pixel level, in public. Kind about people, uncompromising about the work.
- Put AI to actual work. Component documentation, variant generation, token maintenance, migration codemods, spec drafting. The tedious 60% of systems work is exactly what these tools are good at, and we want someone with strong instincts about which 60%.
- Stay accountable for what ships. Adoption, consistency, shipped UI quality, how quickly teams can build - not the size of your Figma library.
- Work across a big, networked organisation. Designers in other domains, brand and marketing design, sales engineers, customers. Consistency is a negotiation, not a mandate you email out.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must haves:
- You've done 0-to-1 before, somewhere messy. You've taken a design system from nothing to adopted, in an organisation that had neither and wasn't yet convinced it needed one. You know how the first six months actually go, which corners are safe to cut, and how to structure tokens so they survive the next product rather than getting quietly forked.
- You're fluent enough in code to be useful. Reading React and CSS, understanding component APIs, running the repo locally, opening a PR without ceremony. You don't need to be an engineer, but you do need to hold your end of a technical conversation and design things that are buildable as drawn.
- You can influence without authority. You'll spend real energy convincing people who have their own roadmaps and their own deadlines. Being right won't be enough and you know that already.
- Your craft is exceptional. Deep command of layout systems, typography, colour and visual hierarchy, applied in dense, complex professional interfaces. Detail-obsessed in the good way: the way that makes a whole product feel considered.
- You have a real point of view on AI in design work. Not a vibe, a practice. You've used these tools to accelerate documentation, generate and audit variants, maintain tokens, or migrate code, and you can tell us where they helped and where they made a confident mess.
- You've owned UX end-to-end for complex professional products. Discovery through shipped product through what you learned afterwards, with a portfolio that shows the systems thinking as well as the surfaces. Expert in Figma.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Accessibility as a default rather than an audit.
- Experience with theming, dark mode, or multi-brand systems.
- Data-dense, map-heavy or real-time interfaces.
- Public writing or open-source contribution on design systems.
- Time spent in high-stakes or regulated environments where getting it wrong is expensive.
The disposition, which matters more than any of the above: outcome-driven thinking over perfect artifacts (design is what ships); curiosity about users, about design and technology trends and history, and about better ways of working; pragmatic product judgment, knowing when "good and shipped" beats "perfect but late"; clear communication and respectful collaboration.
APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Recruiter screen
2. Hiring Manager interview
3. Portfolio review
4. Task
5. Final interview

ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Senior AIT Engineer, Electronics
- Location: Espoo, Finland
- Department: Global Manufacturing Organisation
- Reports to: AIT Engineering Team Manager
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid / Office
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
The Senior AIT Engineer, Electronics is the integration readiness authority for all electronics and power-related subsystems in ICEYE's satellite. You own the discipline from early design review through Production Readiness Review (PRR), production support, and system verification — ensuring that the entire electronics chain is manufacturable, testable, and takt-compatible at scale.
This is not a production execution role. You are the engineer who ensures production can execute: you own the integration logic, the procedures, the technical escalation path, and the feedback loop back to Engineering. You work in a "2-in-a-box" model with subsystem designers, they own the design, you own how it integrates.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own integration readiness for electronics and power subsystems: power management, power conditioning and distribution, battery systems, solar panels, watchdog and contactor systems, electrical interfaces, and power firmware and boot logic across all satellite variants
- Act as the satellite-wide electronics expert, the person engineering and production both turn to when electrical behaviour during integration is unclear, unexpected, or blocking
- Work in a "2-in-a-box" partnership with Engineering subsystem owners: co-own the PRR package for your discipline, assess manufacturability and testability of design changes early, and ensure no electrical design reaches production without your integration sign-off
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve procedures, flows, and troubleshooting guides for your subsystems by ensuring documentation is technically correct, version-controlled, and production-executable without interpretation
- Own Tier-2 technical support for electronics-related non-conformances and integration anomalies: triage, root cause, corrective action, and closure protecting production time and preventing recurrence
- Participate in Engineering projects, ensuring that lessons learned translate directly into production-ready documentation and PRR
- Train and mentor production technicians on electronics integration steps, building floor-level competence that reduces dependence on engineering escalation
- Drive subsystem manufacturing readiness level (MRL) maturity, maintaining an improvement roadmap
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
MUST HAVES:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in electronics integration, assembly, or test engineering in a hardware-intensive environment
- Strong understanding of power electronics: power distribution architectures, battery management systems, solar power conditioning, and electrical boot sequences at system level
- Demonstrated experience owning a subsystem or discipline end-to-end from design review through integration and verification, not just executing procedures someone else wrote
- Proficiency with electronics lab equipment: power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, and protocol analysers
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ICDs, and system-level documentation, and to translate them into practical integration and test procedures
- Experience identifying and resolving electronics integration anomalies under time pressure, with clear root cause documentation
- Excellent communication skills in English written and verbal, across both engineering and production audiences
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience in spacecraft, aerospace, defence, or other high-reliability electronics environments
- Familiarity with satellite power subsystems or embedded power management firmware behaviour
- Experience writing and owning integration procedures for a production environment at scale
- Experience with ESD-controlled and cleanroom work environments
- Proficiency with Jira or equivalent engineering tracking and NC management systems
- Exposure to production readiness reviews (PRR), design reviews (PDR/CDR), or equivalent formal engineering gate processes
- Knowledge of IPC standards or equivalent electronics assembly and inspection standards
- Python or scripting experience for test automation or diagnostic tooling

- TA Screening
- Hiring Manager Interview

- Specify the tooling, equipment and workstations each process needs, anticipating them ahead of programme milestones, and lead the transfer from prototype to series so that processes and tooling can carry production to high throughput.
DESIGN MATURITY AND CO-ENGINEERING
- Work with Engineering from the concept phase so that design and production constraints are aligned, applying design for manufacturing, assembly and testability (DFM, DFA, DFT) and bringing buildability, tolerance stack-up, tool access and test provisions into internal design iterations before the design is frozen.
- Support internal and supplier design and readiness reviews (e.g. PDR, CDR, PRR, IRR, TRR), ensuring designs are mature and ready for transition into production, and identify industrial risks early with the action plans that close them.
ASSEMBLY AND INTEGRATION
- Lead and execute structural, mechanical and thermal assembly and integration of satellites and sub-assemblies, acting as the technical point of contact for mechanical subsystem integration.
- Own the mechanical build standard: torque and preload, locking methods, bonding, composite handling, cleanliness and ESD discipline.
- Verify components before integration, perform precision alignment and dimensional verification of critical interfaces, and support the floor hands-on during assembly, harness routing and test setup.
VERIFICATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL TEST
- Plan, prepare and lead environmental test campaigns, including vibration, shock, thermal vacuum, acoustic and EMC, and guide system-level functional verification.
- Design or evaluate test fixtures, derive test levels, and act as the technical point of contact towards internal and external test facilities.
- Own mass properties: mass budget, centre of gravity, moment of inertia and launch vehicle interface data.
GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT
- Specify, design, procure and validate Mechanical Ground Support Equipment for handling, transport, integration and test, from concept and CAD through structural analysis to fabrication oversight.
- Verify structural margins, define proof load testing and recertification intervals, and certify equipment before use on flight hardware.
SUPPLIER PARTS AND MATERIALS
- Act as the technical authority for mechanical and composite parts from suppliers, covering capability assessment, special process review and First Article Inspection.
- Act as the technical reference for composite hardware (CFRP panels, honeycomb assemblies, bonded joints, potted inserts), defining handling, machining, acceptance and inspection criteria, including non-destructive inspection where needed.
CONFIGURATION, DOCUMENTATION AND ANOMALIES
- Maintain as-built configuration and traceability, and apply engineering changes consistently to hardware and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions, coordinating with the Engineering team, the production team and any other team needed to ensure schedule and quality adherence.
FACILITIES AND PROCESS REQUIREMENTS
- Define the AIT process requirements for the facilities and work with the Global Manufacturing Infrastructure team on the layout that supports them.
- Define the contamination control, ESD and handling requirements that integration and test activities must meet, and propose improvements where the process or the environment falls short.
STANDARDIZATION AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Capture lessons learned from the floor to improve procedures, tooling, test efficiency and build reliability as production volumes increase, and align with the Global AIT and Engineering teams on product standards and process updates.
- Mentor and support local engineers and technicians, sharing AIT best practices and fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the development, integration, testing or production of complex hardware systems (e.g. aerospace, defense, automotive, semiconductors, satellites), including work on flight or equivalently critical hardware.
- Demonstrated experience defining and qualifying assembly, integration and test processes, turning them into standardised work packages, and taking a product from first units towards series production.
- Deep technical knowledge in mechanical engineering, with system-level understanding across full product architectures and the ability to spot issues across the interfaces between design, production and operations.
- Demonstrated ownership of environmental test campaigns, from specification through execution to reporting.
- Practical mastery of precision mechanical assembly (torque and preload, locking methods, bonded and inserted joints, alignment and dimensional verification) and of composite hardware, including its handling and inspection constraints.
- Experience specifying, designing or validating MGSE or comparable handling and test tooling.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, CAD models, GD&T and interface control documents, and to translate them into procedures others can execute.
- Strong track record of enabling design for manufacturing, assembly and testability (DFM, DFA, DFT), working alongside design teams rather than after them.
- Familiarity with verification and configuration management in complex hardware industries, including root cause analysis and non-conformance ownership through to closure.
- Working knowledge of cleanroom and ESD discipline. Integration in Athens is typically ISO 8, with ISO 7 and ISO 5 environments also possible.
- Experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments, mentoring engineers or technicians, and communicating clearly with designers, production leads and executive stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in English (written & spoken).
NICE TO HAVE
- Industrialisation and methods toolkit: Lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, standard work, line balancing, capacity planning, APQP or PPAP.
- Familiarity with EN 9100 and ECSS standards as applied to space hardware.
- Experience defining AIT process or facility layout requirements alongside a facilities or infrastructure team.
- CAD and structural analysis proficiency (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA or equivalent) for tooling and fixtures, and metrology with laser trackers, theodolites or CMM.
- Non-destructive inspection interpretation on bonded or composite structures.
- Hands-on operation of environmental test equipment, or involvement in its acceptance and commissioning.
- Automated test scripting (Python or equivalent), and familiarity with PLM, ERP, Manufacturo (MES) or Jira for build records and configuration control.
- Launch campaign or launcher interface experience.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is building AI systems that will shape the trajectory of one of the most consequential technologies in human history. That work requires physical infrastructure at significant scale, and building that infrastructure the right way means being a real, long-term partner to the communities where we operate.
We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager in Australia to join our Public Policy team and serve as Anthropic's on-the-ground presence in the communities where our data centres are sited, built, and operated. This is not a communications role or a government affairs role, though you will do elements of both. It is a relationship role: your job is to make Anthropic a trusted, visible, and valued neighbour, from the earliest stages of site selection through construction and long-term operations.
You will be the connective tissue between Anthropic's Policy and Infrastructure teams and the local officials, community organisations, economic development partners, and residents who have a stake in what we build. You will surface concerns before they escalate, translate our technical and operational plans into clear local benefits, and build the coalitions that allow us to move quickly and responsibly. Because Anthropic's infrastructure footprint is still early in its growth, you will also help write the playbook: the processes you build in your first markets are the ones we will use as we expand.
You will travel regularly within your region, up to 50% of the time, and occasionally to other Anthropic data centre markets.
Key responsibilities
Build and maintain trusted, sustained relationships with local councils, state government ministers and agencies, regional development organisations, community groups, civic leaders, educational institutions, and workforce partners in the data centre markets you cover
Develop and execute a community engagement strategy for each of your markets, spanning site selection, pre-development, construction, and ongoing operations
Build external coalitions, host education and listening sessions, and design local solutions that deliver real benefits to the communities where we operate
Represent Anthropic in public forums, town halls, planning hearings, community events, and local media
Monitor community sentiment and local political dynamics, and advise internal teams on risks, opportunities, and the right pace and posture for engagement
Partner with the Real Estate and Infrastructure team to bring community input into how projects are planned, communicated, and delivered, not just how they are announced
Work with the Communications team to develop proactive, locally relevant messaging
Coordinate charitable donations, community investment, and economic development commitments in your markets, including managing not for profit partner relationships
Partner with the Energy and Sustainability team to explain our approach to environmental stewardship and respond to questions about power, water, and land use
Build a community engagement playbook and repeatable processes that scale as Anthropic's infrastructure footprint grows
Minimum qualifications
Experience in community affairs, public affairs, economic development, government relations, local council or state government, or a closely related field
Direct experience working for or engaging with local councils, both elected councillors and council staff, and state governments on behalf of large infrastructure, construction, energy, or technology projects, with a working understanding of how local politics and community dynamics actually play out
A skilled relationship and coalition builder who earns trust with a diverse group of stakeholders, and who maintains relationships through difficult conversations
The ability to represent a company credibly in public settings — town halls, hearings, press interviews
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn a complex operational plan into plain language that a local official or reporter can understand and respond to
The ability to work independently, get up to speed quickly on complex policy issues, and manage multiple concurrent engagements across different markets without losing track of any of them
Based in Australia or willing to relocate there, and prepared to travel regularly across the region
Preferred qualifications
7+ years of experience in community engagement specifically on data centre, utility, energy, or large-scale industrial infrastructure projects, or in local government
Familiarity with land use, zoning, and planning approval processes at the local and regional level
Experience managing corporate social responsibility programs
Established relationships with economic development, workforce, or civic organisations in the markets this role covers
Experience working with real estate, legal, communications, and policy teams at the same time
A genuine interest in the communities where you work, not just the projects you are managing
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

- Senior/Staff Platform Observability Engineer
- Location: Espoo, Finland / Berlin, Germany
- Department: Platform & Release Engineering
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO,)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
As a Platform Observability Engineer, you’ll make the health of ICEYE’s systems visible, actionable, and reliable. You’ll build and evolve the observability foundation across metrics, logs, and traces, helping teams detect issues early, understand failures faster, and operate their services with confidence. Your work will go beyond dashboards and alerts. You’ll reduce operational noise, eliminate blind spots, and give product teams the tools and autonomy to run reliable services.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and continuously improve a unified, production-grade observability stack covering metrics, logs, and traces, giving every team a consistent, self-service way to understand and operate the health of their services.
- Build and maintain trusted alerting by tuning alerts against clear SLOs/SLIs, reducing noise, improving ownership and ensuring real issues surface early.
- Define, document, and drive adoption of instrumentation standards covering metric naming, label cardinality, structured logging, and distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry.
- Enable product teams to diagnose and resolve incidents faster through well-designed dashboards, runbooks, hands-on support, and practical observability guidance.
- Run the observability platform like a product, owning its roadmap, interfaces, reliability, scalability, and cost across areas such as retention, sampling, and cardinality.
- Provide clear technical direction for observability across the engineering organisation, making pragmatic architectural trade-offs and helping teams adopt platform capabilities effectively.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must haves:
1. Observability platform ownership at scale
6+ years in Platform Engineering, Observability, or infrastructure roles, with end-to-end ownership of a production observability stack (for example the LGTM stack - Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir/Prometheus - or an equivalent metrics/logs/traces platform) at scale.
- Instrumentation & telemetry: OpenTelemetry adoption, metric and label design, structured logging, and distributed tracing across complex, multi-team systems.
- SLO/SLI & error budgets: dashboards and alerting that surface real problems early while minimizing noise and false positives.
- Platform as a product: treating other engineering teams as customers, with clear interfaces and a roadmap shaped by their needs.
- Alerting & reliability attitude: comfortable with on-call, driving blameless learning from incidents, and continuously tuning signal quality instead of letting alert fatigue set in.
2. Software engineering foundation
- A background that includes time spent writing and shipping production software, bringing engineering instincts to building tooling and automation rather than only operating what already exists.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (for example Python or Go) for automation, tooling, and building internal observability capabilities.
3. Long-term ownership of your own decisions
Demonstrated experience owning the long-term consequences of your own architectural and tooling decisions - having lived with what you built through its maintenance, upgrades, and failure modes, not just its initial rollout.
4. Communication
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, able to explain complex system behavior clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to haves:
1. Platform & telemetry breadth
- Rancher, Istio, and Kubernetes-native observability patterns (service mesh telemetry, sidecars, eBPF-based tooling).
- Bridging hybrid environments across AWS and on-prem platforms such as vSphere/VxRail.
- Managing cost and cardinality on large-scale telemetry pipelines (retention policies, sampling, downsampling).
2. Practices that spread beyond your own team
- Defining SLO/SLI frameworks or observability standards adopted across multiple teams.
- Running or contributing to incident response and blameless postmortem processes.
- Mentoring engineers and raising engineering maturity through technical leadership and enablement.
3. Domain context
Background in regulated, security-sensitive, or mission-critical domains.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels, balancing long-term infrastructure strategy with day-to-day commercial and operational priorities.
