How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Perplexity is AI for people who expect more. This role brings that standard to how we understand our users, shape our product, and decide what to build next.
We're looking for a data scientist who can turn product questions into clear decisions. You'll work across product, engineering, growth, design, and user research to understand user behavior, define metrics, design experiments, and identify the highest-leverage opportunities for the company.
The data team is AI-native by default. We use AI to accelerate analysis, write and review code, explore hypotheses, document data, generate first drafts, and automate recurring workflows. But the core of the role is still judgment: asking the right question, choosing the right metric, designing the right test, and knowing when the answer is strong enough to act on.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop product insights - analyze user behavior to inform product roadmap, accelerate adoption, and identify opportunities to improve the user experience.
- Design and analyze experiments - form hypotheses, define success metrics, run A/B tests, interpret results, and turn findings into product recommendations.
- Define the metrics that matter - build the metrics, guardrails, dashboards, and reporting workflows that help teams understand product and company health.
- Partner across functions - work closely with engineering, product, growth, design, and user research to answer ambiguous questions and drive decisions.
- Build reusable data assets - create tables, models, and documentation that make analysis faster, more consistent, and easier for humans and AI systems to use.
- Use AI to scale data science - automate recurring analysis, build AI-assisted workflows, improve documentation, and turn one-off investigations into repeatable systems.
- Tell the story clearly - communicate findings, assumptions, uncertainty, and recommendations in a way that helps teams make decisions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years of experience as a data scientist or closely related role.
- Strong product sense - you understand user behavior, product tradeoffs, and how to connect analysis to decisions.
- SQL expertise - you can navigate a complex data warehouse on your own, reason about grain and joins, and debug data issues when something looks wrong.
- Experimentation depth - you have significant experience designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests.
- AI-native working style - you use LLMs and AI tools to move faster without outsourcing analytical judgment.
- Metrics and dashboard experience - you've built useful reporting in tools such as Omni, Mode, Hex, Looker, or similar, and know how to turn metrics into better product decisions.
- Comfort with ambiguity - you can take an open-ended question, structure it, execute the analysis, and make a clear recommendation.
- End-to-end ownership - you take responsibility for the work from problem definition to stakeholder adoption.
BONUS
- Experience with dbt, data modeling, or analytics engineering.
- Python experience for analysis, automation, or internal tools.
- Experience with Snowflake, especially performance and cost-aware querying.
- Experience combining qualitative user research with quantitative product analysis.
- Experience as one of the first data scientists at an early or growth-stage company.
- ML experience or experience working across multiple product surfaces.
WHY THIS ROLE
- Define data science at Perplexity - you'll help set the bar for how an AI-native data science team operates.
- Work on questions with no playbook - AI-native products are too new for established benchmarks. What engagement, retention, and user success look like for AI products that answer questions and get real work done is still an open question, and you'll help define it.
- Use AI where it actually matters - you'll use frontier tools to make analysis faster, more repeatable, and more useful.
- Direct impact - small team, high ownership, and work that shapes product and company direction.

- Drive Case Deflection: Analyze customer friction points and build self-service AI systems that significantly reduce support volume while improving the quality of the customer experience.
- Own the Domain: Act as the product owner and the technical muscle proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, propose architectures, and own the full lifecycle of the systems you build.
- Dogfood the Stack: Be a key member of the feedback loop for our product team. As you build complex systems for our customers, you’ll identify gaps in our frameworks and contribute back to the LangChain and LangGraph open-source ecosystem.
- Build Onboarding Workflows: Develop "AI-native onboarding" experiences that help enterprise customers move from prototypes to production faster by automating documentation retrieval and code generation.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

- Engineering Foundation: You are a strong software engineer (typically 3+ years) with at least 1 year of experience specifically shipping LLM systems in production.
- Self-Directed "Founder" Mentality: You don't need a ticket to tell you what to fix. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying high-impact problems, and driving them to completion autonomously.
- Full-Stack Capability: Strong coding skills in Python or TypeScript (ideally both) and the ability to build end-to-end applications.
- Customer-Centric: You enjoy the intersection of high-level engineering and direct customer impact. You can translate a customer's technical pain point into a scalable system architecture.
Nice to Haves:
- Expertise with LangSmith for evaluation and monitoring.
- Experience building or maintaining open-source projects.
- A background in technical consulting, solutions engineering, or high-growth GTM teams.
Compensation:
- We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks. Benefits include things like medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, and life insurance.
- Salary: $160K - $180K
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
We are hiring for this role across a range of scope, and the compensation band reflects that. Your offer depends on what we learn about your impact, craft, leadership, and communication during the interview process. We will tell you early where you’re tracking and talk comp with you before offer stage. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.

Our vision:
A world where everyone is free to focus on their most purposeful work, together.
About the Role:
You'll own your outcomes, from the strategies you run to the conversations that shape what we build next. We’re looking for a driven, curious, and Strategic Inside Sales Representative to join our Commercial Sales organization at Wrike. In this role, you’ll engage with prospects and customers across high‑value accounts, build strong relationships, and uncover new opportunities to expand Wrike’s footprint. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy solving complex customer challenges, and love collaborating with a high‑performing team, we’d love to meet you.
As part of our Prague co‑location strategy, this role follows a 3‑day in‑office schedule. Being together accelerates learning, strengthens collaboration, and helps us build a consistent, high‑impact sales motion across the team.
Team Dynamics:
As a Strategic ISR, you’ll manage a defined set of enterprise accounts, partnering closely with Account Executives to drive pipeline and achieve shared booking targets. You’ll balance inbound engagement with proactive outbound prospecting, identifying customer pain points and positioning Wrike as the solution that helps teams work more efficiently and effectively.
This role sits at the intersection of sales strategy, customer insight, and execution. You’ll be expected to understand complex customer environments, tailor your outreach, and contribute to account‑level planning. You’ll join a collaborative, co‑located team that values curiosity, resilience, and continuous improvement — and where will matters just as much as skill.
Your Impact:
Proactively do calling to all assigned existing customers and new prospective clients (hunting) and generating pipeline and incremental business on both
Deep understanding customer/prospect needs and spot opportunities to expand Wrike within existing accounts.
Research competitors, consumer behavior, market trends, product developments, and lead acquisition methods to inform strategy and identify opportunities for cross-selling
Identify new prospects within targeted accounts by analyzing business workflows and leveraging insights from customer interactions to discover potential sales opportunities
Collaborate with Strategic Account Executives to develop and execute account strategy, ensuring alignment on goals and approaches to maximize revenue growth within current accounts
Actively seek out additional contacts and decision-makers in existing accounts through channels such as networking, referrals, and research, emphasizing the value of Wrike
Conduct research on prospects and their organizations to personalize outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn, showcasing how our solutions address specific challenges faced by the account
Leverage outbounding and AI tools (ie: Lusha, Sales Navigator, SalesLoft, Regie) to create a strategic list of potential prospects to target outreach
Proactively build knowledge of the product, new feature releases, changes in market trends and competitors landscape to improve engagement
Partner with sales teams, including other ISRs, Senior Sales Executives, and Marketing, to refine and perfect account-specific messaging, aligning with business workflows needs and solution selling

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's production models undergo sophisticated post-training processes to enhance their capabilities, alignment, and safety. As a Research Engineer on our Post-Training team, you'll train our base models through the complete post-training stack to deliver the production Claude models that users interact with.
You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge research and production engineering, implementing, scaling, and improving post-training techniques like Constitutional AI, RLHF, and other alignment methodologies. Your work will directly impact the quality, safety, and capabilities of our production models.
Note: For this role, we conduct all interviews in Python. This role may require responding to incidents on short-notice, including on weekends.
Responsibilities:
Implement and optimize post-training techniques at scale on frontier models
Conduct research to develop and optimize post-training recipes that directly improve production model quality
Design, build, and run robust, efficient pipelines for model fine-tuning and evaluation
Develop tools to measure and improve model performance across various dimensions
Collaborate with research teams to translate emerging techniques into production-ready implementations
Debug complex issues in training pipelines and model behavior
Help establish best practices for reliable, reproducible model post-training
You may be a good fit if you:
Thrive in controlled chaos and are energised, rather than overwhelmed, when juggling multiple urgent priorities
Adapt quickly to changing priorities
Maintain clarity when debugging complex, time-sensitive issues
Have strong software engineering skills with experience building complex ML systems
Are comfortable working with large-scale distributed systems and high-performance computing
Have experience with training, fine-tuning, or evaluating large language models
Can balance research exploration with engineering rigor and operational reliability
Are adept at analyzing and debugging model training processes
Enjoy collaborating across research and engineering disciplines
Can navigate ambiguity and make progress in fast-moving research environments
Strong candidates may also:
Have experience with LLMs
Have a keen interest in AI safety and responsible deployment
We welcome candidates at various experience levels, with a preference for senior engineers who have hands-on experience with frontier AI systems. However, proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks, and distributed computing is required for this role.
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit

directly for confirmed position openings.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
