Location: Manchester, United Kingdom
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
The Role
As a Program Manager for our Operational Support team, you will lead the design and delivery of large-scale programmes across the SMB Hub — from structured engagement frameworks to communications and change initiatives — that keep the Hub's commercial priorities moving and measurable. As a Program Manager, you will work closely with Sales, New Partner Experience (NMX), Account Management and Partner Support leads to ensure the right initiatives land at the right time, applying a recognised delivery methodology to keep programmes on track.
This is an ideal role for an individual with strong project and time management skills who can manage multiple concurrent programmes end-to-end, while also designing long-term frameworks that drive lasting change across a large, fast-moving operation.
The Team
The SMB Hub brings together our commercial teams — Sales, New Partner Experience (NPX), Account Management and Partner Support — responsible for Deliveroo's relationships with thousands of independent restaurant and retail partners across Europe, supported through our in-house contact centre in Manchester and third-party providers.
The Operational Support team is the glue that holds the Hub together. Within the team, we own workforce management (WFM), commercial excellence, tooling and automation — and this role is central to delivering change, ensuring effective communication throughout the Hub, and driving commercial excellence for our partners and the Hub as a whole.
Core Responsibilities
Programme & Change Management
Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale SMB initiatives — from scoping and governance through to sign-off, communications and reporting — so senior teams can track commercial impact.
Apply a consistent, recognised methodology (PRINCE2 or Six Sigma) to give initiatives clear milestones, risk management and quality control.
Design and embed a structured engagement framework for the Hub, defining how initiatives are prioritised, resourced and measured.
Strategic Planning
Translate Hub priorities into actionable delivery plans that support commercial objectives, such as Ad revenue growth and partner adoption of Ads and Offers.
Monitor delivery and engagement metrics (e.g. Peakon, adoption rates) and use the insight to adjust plans, manage risk and support decision-making.
Collaborate with senior leadership across Sales, NMX and Account Management to align delivery capacity with Hub priorities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Own the SMB communications strategy — channel ownership, sequencing and accountability — to improve clarity and consistency of key messages.
Produce clear, structured reporting that translates operational detail into decisions for senior stakeholders.
Act as the conduit between Sales, NPX, Account Management, Partner Support and Ops, keeping a wide stakeholder group aligned and informed.
What You'll Be Doing

Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Engineering teams tackle complex technical challenges across a global, three-sided marketplace, building and scaling systems that serve millions of customers, riders and partners every day.
From real-time logistics to resilient infrastructure and marketplace optimisation, we design, build and operate technology that powers Deliveroo’s growth at scale.
We’re looking for a
Software Engineer, Backend

London
team. This role is based in our London office with a
hybrid
setup, typically 3 days in the office.
Get to know our
Engineering
team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.
About the Team
The Core BI team builds and operates the services, integrations and automation that power business intelligence across DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt. Our platforms help analysts, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers and business teams discover trusted data and make informed decisions at scale.
We combine software engineering, platform ownership, and a strong user focus to make BI tooling reliable, secure, scalable and self-service. The team supports the current BI ecosystem while helping shape a more integrated experience across the DoorDash group.
About the Role
As a Software Engineer on the Core BI team, you will build and operate the backend services, APIs and infrastructure our BI platforms run on. This is a hands-on software and platform engineering role: services and integrations, identity and access automation, observability, reliability and developer experience. BI is the domain you serve (primarily Looker and Sigma, and the systems around them), but the problems are backend and platform problems.
You will own problems from discovery through design, implementation, deployment, and operational support. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Product Managers and business teams to turn recurring user needs into durable, self-service capabilities. If you're energized by solving technical problems with data and comfortable being deeply embedded across several domains, this role is for you!
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
Design, build, test, deploy and operate the backend services, APIs and automation that the BI platforms across DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt depend on
Automate the platform lifecycle end to end (provisioning, metadata, permissions, migrations, archival and validation) so administration stops being manual work
Build the integrations between BI platforms and the wider ecosystem: warehouses, identity providers, orchestration, CI/CD and internal developer tooling
Improve the availability, observability, performance, scalability and security of the systems you own, and carry them in production
Use AI tooling as part of how you engineer, and where it fits, build LLM-backed capabilities held to the same reliability and governance bar as anything else we ship
Raise the engineering bar on the team, from service design and code review to testing, CI/CD and documentation, and improve the developer experience for everyone building on the platform
We’re excited about you because…
3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production backend, platform or infrastructure systems
Readable, maintainable, well-tested code in Python, plus comfort with SQL and a working understanding of data modelling and warehousing concepts
Experience building and owning APIs, integrations or automation in production, with sound judgement on service boundaries, authentication, data contracts and failure modes
Hands-on with CI/CD, containers and Kubernetes, observability, debugging and incident response, and you expect to operate what you build
Hands-on experience using AI tools (LLMs, agentic workflows, AI-assisted development) as part of how you engineer, and judgement about where they help and where they do not
End-to-end ownership of ambiguous problems, clear communication with technical and non-technical teams, and comfort self-organising in a fast-paced, distributed environment
Nice to Have
Experience owning or integrating with BI platforms such as Looker, Sigma or comparable tools, and familiarity with semantic layers such as LookML or dbt
Experience automating identity and access through Okta, SCIM or role-based access controls, or building multi-tenant platforms across brands and regions
Experience shipping LLM-backed features to real users (retrieval, grounding and evaluation), or with MCP, agent frameworks or tool-calling in production

We’re looking for a
Senior Android Engineer
to join our SDUI team. In this role, you’ll help us build and scale our server-driven UI (
SDUI
) platform, enabling teams to build a UI once and have it deploy seamlessly to iOS, Android, and Web without redeploying a new app — performantly and consistently. This role is based in our London office with a hybrid setup, typically three days in the office.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the SDUI team. We own the Android rendering layer of our server-driven UI platform, and the backend services that drive it, ensuring every consumer surface built on it is fast, correct, and visually indistinguishable from native.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Drive technical execution
by designing, building, and evolving the Android SDUI renderer — and the backend services (Kotlin, Golang, Protobuf) that feed it — to handle complex, real-time UI updates at scale.
Lead architectural improvements
and code reviews, ensuring the maintainability, visibility, and operational health of the renderer as more teams build on top of it.
Partner with cross-functional disciplines
(iOS and Web renderer engineers, product and design teams) to plan rollouts, align on platform decisions, and influence the roadmap.
Own large-scale initiatives
from design to delivery — including the push to bring SDUI motion and interaction quality to native-equivalent, and the ongoing migration off legacy rendering systems.
Support the growth of others
by mentoring colleagues and taking an active role in our engineering hiring process.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
5+ years building Android applications at scale
, with a deep understanding of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Backend development experience
, specifically with Golang, Kotlin, and Protobuf, and the comfort to move between client and server code as the work demands.
Experience building or maintaining a server-driven / declarative UI system
, with a keen interest in pushing what's possible with declarative rendering — bonus points if that included Litho or another DSL-based renderer.
A product mindset
, and the instinct to apply it to how you design platform services for the teams that build on top of them.
Demonstrated ownership of technical delivery
within cross-functional teams, guiding implementation choices and technical design for a platform other teams build on.
Strong communication skills
, working across time zones with iOS, Web, and Backend counterparts, plus PMs and multiple product teams.
A pride in software craft
, with a commitment to writing readable, well-designed, and thoroughly tested mobile code.
Bonus points for exposure to Figma-to-code tooling, design-token/theming systems, or accessibility work in mobile rendering.
Why Join Us?
At Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters — solving real problems for a platform that every consumer-facing team builds on. We’re renderer engineers, systems thinkers, and platform builders, brought together by a shared drive to make shipping UI changes fast and safe. Working here you can expect to:
🔧 Solve meaningful problems at real scale
— Work on a rendering platform that every consumer surface depends on, used by millions of customers every day.

Our Business Intelligence department owns financial data and analytics at the most granular level—from individual transactions and counterparties to products, clients, and business segments. We collect cost and revenue data from external counterparties, transform it into appropriate booking logic, and ensure it is correctly reflected in the General Ledger and analytical systems. We are looking for a Cost & Revenue Controller to take hands-on ownership of this process—ensuring data is collected completely, booked correctly, reconciled, and any discrepancies are identified and resolved. The role sits between Finance, BI, and Technology, bridging financial requirements with technical implementation.

Develop automated reconciliation and validation controls.
Define and monitor data-quality and error KPIs.
Business & Technology Integration
Translate financial and business requirements into clear requirements for technical teams.
Follow implementations through development, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
Validate that implemented solutions reflect the intended financial and accounting logic.
