As an Intermediate Fullstack Engineer (Ruby/Vue.js), Growth at GitLab, you'll help turn GitLab's self-serve funnel into a reliable source of new paying customers. You'll work on the in-product journey from a user's first visit through sign-up, trial, and first purchase, on both GitLab.com and self-managed GitLab. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Data Analysts, with a particular focus on backend development in Ruby on Rails and frontend work in Vue.js. This role gives you the opportunity to combine your fullstack engineering skills with product thinking and experimentation, shipping small changes quickly and measuring their impact on real customer outcomes.
Some examples of our projects:

Building upgrade prompts where users run into paid features
Improving the trial experience, including trials of GitLab Duo
Improving the tooling the team uses to run and read out experiments
What you'll do
Design, build, and iterate on A/B tests and experiments that increase first purchases on GitLab.com and self-managed GitLab.
Build and improve registration, trial, onboarding, and in-product upgrade and purchase experiences to increase completion of these steps.
Implement backend features and services in Ruby on Rails and frontend experiences using Vue.js.
Analyze experiment results and product usage data with Data Analysts to decide which changes to keep, iterate on, or roll back based on first-purchase outcomes.
Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to define hypotheses and success metrics before shipping experiments, then compare results against those metrics.
Maintain and improve our experimentation framework and tooling to increase experiment throughput and reduce the time from setup to results.
Collaborate with other Engineering teams, including Fulfillment, to remove purchase barriers across GitLab’s codebase.
Document decisions, review code, and share experiment results asynchronously so distributed teammates can track shipped changes and their measured outcomes.
What you'll bring
Professional experience developing with Ruby on Rails and modern JavaScript, along with solid Git, feature development, and deployment workflows.
Experience working with relational databases and a solid understanding of web performance optimization.
A track record of shipping features to production and owning them after release.
Ability to use product data to decide what to build, keep, or roll back.
Ability to document decisions and share updates asynchronously with distributed Product Management, UX, and Data teammates.
Ability to organize your work, seek and apply feedback, and collaborate inclusively with teammates from diverse backgrounds, in line with GitLab’s values.
Preferred, not required: experience with Vue.js, PostgreSQL, A/B testing, feature flags, experimentation frameworks, or SaaS sign-up, trial, billing, or checkout flows. We'll help you learn our tooling.

An overview of this role
What does software planning look like when people and artificial intelligence agents work together? As a Staff Product Manager for Planning at GitLab, you'll help answer that question and lead the team toward a clear product direction. This isn't just about improving traditional agile planning. You'll rethink how intent becomes actionable work, how that work moves through software development, and where human involvement is needed.
You'll develop a point of view on planning's future and turn it into product decisions with engineering, design, and product leadership. That includes exploring how planning could connect work to business priorities and budgets, rather than assuming the answer is already decided. Alongside that strategic work, you'll share ownership of existing planning capabilities with another product manager.
We're opening this role at Staff level, with flexibility to consider Principal level based on your experience and scope of impact.
What you'll do
Define a clear direction for planning as software development shifts toward collaboration between people and artificial intelligence agents, and help the team move from open questions to concrete priorities.
Shape how users capture intent, break it into actionable work, and determine which work can proceed autonomously and which needs human involvement.
Evaluate whether and how planning should connect software delivery to company priorities, business objectives, and budgets.
Share ownership of planning capabilities, including work items, boards, specifications, and portfolio planning, with a fellow product manager. Help define how that scope is divided.
Work with engineering and design to translate product direction into a roadmap and improvements to planning workflows across GitLab.
Communicate your recommendations clearly to senior leaders, challenge assumptions constructively, and lead the team through changes in direction.
What you'll bring
Experience leading product strategy and execution for software development, developer tools, or planning products, with the depth to make decisions in a specialized product area.
A strong understanding of software development and development and operations (DevOps) workflows, including how planning decisions affect downstream delivery.
The ability to form and defend a product point of view in an uncertain, changing market, while staying open to different ideas.
Clear communication with technical teams and senior executives, including experience challenging leadership decisions constructively and building support for a direction.
The ability to connect a forward-looking strategy to practical product decisions and work collaboratively across product, engineering, and design.
About the team
The Planning team builds the capabilities at the start of GitLab's software development workflow, including work items, boards, specifications, and portfolio planning. Decisions here affect how work moves through the rest of the platform, so the team's scope extends beyond standalone project management tools.
You'll work alongside another product manager and partner with engineering and design across this product area. The division of product ownership is still being shaped, and you'll help define it. The hiring manager wants you to bring a different perspective, question established approaches, and challenge senior leaders constructively, with room to influence decisions beyond your immediate product scope.
GitLab's mission is to enable everyone to contribute to and co-create the software that powers our world. Our platform brings software development, security, and operations together.

Flo is the world’s #1 health & fitness app worldwide on a mission to build a better future for female health. Backed by a $200M investment led by General Atlantic, we became the first product of our kind to reach a $1B valuation in 2024 – and we’re not slowing down.

The job
As Flo continues to scale globally, we're looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Product Manager – Web Onboarding to help accelerate our growth by building and optimising high-performing web acquisition funnels. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of Product, Growth Marketing and Monetisation, shaping how millions of potential users discover Flo, understand its value and become paying subscribers.
You'll take ownership of developing new web onboarding experiences from the ground up, while continuously optimising existing funnels to maximise conversion, revenue and customer lifetime value. From user journeys and personalisation to pricing, paywalls and experimentation, you'll have the autonomy to identify growth opportunities and turn them into measurable business results. Working closely with User Acquisition, Design, Engineering and Analytics, you'll play a critical role in unlocking new opportunities to scale paid marketing channels, including Meta, Google and TikTok. This is a unique opportunity to combine the speed and experimentation culture of a high-growth business with the scale and impact of one of the world's most successful consumer health platforms.
Your Experience
Must have:
Proven experience in B2C product management, ideally within a high-growth consumer subscription, e-commerce or digital product business.
Hands-on experience building and optimising web acquisition or onboarding funnels, with a track record of improving conversion rates and delivering measurable business impact.
Strong understanding of product growth and monetisation, including conversion optimisation, pricing, paywalls, subscriptions and customer lifetime value.
Experience developing new funnel experiences from scratch, from identifying opportunities and defining hypotheses to launching, measuring and iterating on new products.
Strong understanding of paid user acquisition, including how channels such as Meta, Google and TikTok interact with landing pages, onboarding experiences and conversion performance.
Highly analytical and data-driven mindset, with hands-on experience in A/B testing, funnel analytics, experimentation and interpreting performance metrics to make product decisions.
Strong commercial acumen, with an understanding of acquisition economics, revenue optimisation, customer acquisition costs and lifetime value.
Excellent prioritisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify high-impact opportunities, make decisions under uncertainty and balance multiple competing initiatives.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics and Marketing to deliver impactful product improvements.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity and a willingness to challenge assumptions and move quickly.
What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for:
Build and scale high-performing web funnels
Own the product roadmap for Flo's web onboarding funnels, driving improvements in conversion, revenue and customer lifetime value.
Develop and launch new web funnel experiences from scratch, identifying opportunities to engage new audiences, communicate Flo's value proposition and convert visitors into paying subscribers.
Continuously optimise existing funnels through experimentation, improving every step of the user journey, from landing pages and onboarding questions to paywalls and checkout.
Explore new approaches to funnel design, personalisation and user segmentation to create compelling experiences tailored to different audiences and acquisition channels.
Drive monetisation and commercial performance
Own the monetisation strategy for your funnels, including pricing, subscription plans, paywall experiences, promotional offers and other conversion levers.
Identify and prioritise opportunities to maximise revenue, revenue per visitor and customer lifetime value while maintaining a strong customer experience.
Develop and execute a high-velocity experimentation roadmap, using A/B testing, customer insights and performance data to deliver measurable growth.
Take accountability for funnel performance, continuously monitoring key metrics and translating insights into clear product priorities.
Partner with User Acquisition to unlock scalable growth
Work closely with User Acquisition and Growth Marketing teams to develop funnel experiences that maximise the performance and scalability of paid acquisition campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok and other channels.
Collaborate on new audience segments, messaging, value propositions and acquisition strategies, ensuring alignment between advertising campaigns and the user experience.
Identify opportunities to improve acquisition economics through higher conversion rates, stronger monetisation and better customer lifetime value.
Partner with Marketing to test new growth hypotheses and unlock additional opportunities for profitable customer acquisition.
Lead execution and drive business impact
Lead a cross-functional product squad, working closely with Design, Engineering and Analytics to turn growth opportunities into high-quality product experiences.
Use quantitative and qualitative insights to understand user behaviour, identify friction points and develop effective solutions.
Balance rapid experimentation with strategic thinking, ensuring short-term optimisation efforts contribute to long-term sustainable growth.
