NeoCloud BD Pursuit Specialist / Account Executive
Backblaze (Nasdaq: BLZE)
| Reports to the Head of NeoCloud Sales
How We Got Here
We started by building storage servers from scratch in a Palo Alto apartment to save 90% on hardware. Turns out hard constraints make for pretty good engineering. That discipline forged a platform that performs as well or better than competitors, scales to multi-exabyte workloads, and costs a fraction of what AWS or Google charge. AI infrastructure runs on data. Storage gets hard at scale. We've been breaking, rebuilding, and improving that storage layer for 20 years.
Today, the world's leading AI infrastructure providers, neoclouds, and data-intensive businesses run on Backblaze. Our platform includes:
B2 Overdrive
- high-throughput object storage engineered for AI infrastructure, GPU workloads, and massive-scale data pipelines
B2 Neo
- white-label enterprise cloud storage powering neocloud platforms for AI, HPC, and media
B2 Cloud Storage
- S3-compatible object storage with predictable pricing, free egress, and no lock-in
Computer Backup
- automatic, continuous endpoint backup for Macs and PCs
500,000+ customers. 175 countries. Nasdaq: BLZE. backblaze.com
The Role
NeoClouds are GPU-rich, AI-native infrastructure providers, and they need fast, affordable, S3-compatible storage at scale. Backblaze is the high-performance capacity storage layer for AI. You will win these accounts.
This is a new-logo role. You will own a named set of NeoClouds from the top 80 worldwide and pursue them from first meeting to signed contract.
This is not an inbound role. If you want a defined territory and a queue of warm leads, it isn't the right fit. If your instinct is to pick an account, find the engineer who feels the storage cost first, and work up to the CXO, keep reading.
What You Will Do
Pursue named accounts.
Build a pursuit plan for each account. Map the buying group from infrastructure engineers to the CXO, and build relationships across it.
Run discovery.
Learn how each NeoCloud runs its stack, where storage costs and performance limit it, and how Backblaze fits. Work with the Sales Engineer and Field CTO on technical validation and proof-of-concept testing.
Choose the route.
Your motion is Sell-To. Decide with your manager when an account also calls for Sell-With, which Strategic Partnerships runs with the Head of NeoCloud Sales. When a partner such as NVIDIA, Super Micro, Weka, VAST, or AMD helps win the account, bring in Strategic Partnerships.
Shape the deal.
Work with your manager and legal on multi-year commitments, SLAs, and revenue share when Backblaze runs behind a NeoCloud's storage service.
Sell inside Backblaze.
Pull Cloud Operations and Engineering into the integration early. Their time is as scarce as your buyer's, and you will earn it.
Line up executive sponsors.
Secure a Backblaze executive sponsor and a customer executive sponsor on every priority account.
Hand off and expand.
Bring in the strategic account manager in Customer Success as customers go live, and stay in the account as it grows.
Keep the forecast honest.
Maintain accurate pipeline, next steps, and close dates in the CRM.
What We Are Looking For
Infrastructure sales expertise
, with a record of closing complex, multi-year deals in storage, cloud, compute, networking, or data center infrastructure
Technical fluency.
You run most technical conversations with infrastructure engineers and architects about GPU clusters, networking, and storage yourself, and earn their trust. The Sales Engineer owns deeper validation and proofs of concept
Executive presence.
You have built VP, SVP, and CTO relationships and can lead those meetings
Hunter drive.
You open doors in accounts that do not know you yet, and you stay with a long pursuit
Seller of record.
You have carried a quota and closed deals with your name on them
Deal structure experience.
You have negotiated SLA, IP, and revenue-share terms on deals you closed, not just understood them
Team play.
You work well with sales engineers, partner teams, and operations teams to land one account
Also True of the Right Person
Existing relationships with NeoCloud technical or executive leaders
Experience with OEM, ISV, or co-sell motions
Familiarity with S3-compatible object storage, data egress economics, and AI/ML data pipelines
This Is Not the Role for You If
You want a defined territory or an inbound queue rather than named accounts you have to open
You prefer a short sales cycle to a long pursuit
You hand technical questions to someone else and wait for the answer
You want to bring a SaaS motion here unchanged
You work accounts alone rather than with sales engineering, partners, and operations
How We Will Interview
We will ask you to walk us through a pursuit you ran from first meeting to signed contract, including a long one that stalled and how you kept it moving. We will ask how you earned an infrastructure engineer's trust. We will ask for your own view of how you would approach this role. You will hold cross-functional conversations with the Sales Engineer and the Field CTO, because you will pursue accounts with them. And you will go through a panel, so we can see how you work.
At Backblaze, we value being fair and good to our customers, partners, and employees. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of our values. We are committed to fostering a workforce where all employees feel a sense of belonging regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, socio-economic status, ability, veteran status, and education. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.

We have mapped the top 80 NeoClouds and Frontier Labs worldwide, about 70% in the US and 30% in EMEA, and we already have traction in the US, UK, and France.
You will build and run this segment as its own business inside the CRO organization: your own quota, your own team, and the mandate to decide how Backblaze wins each account. These deals look more like telecom or federal sales than SaaS. Cycles are long, buyers sit at the CXO level, and contracts run three to five years. Often Backblaze sits behind the NeoCloud's own storage service, so the work continues after signature, in SLAs, support, and integration.
This is not a territory to inherit. If your instinct is to wait for a playbook, or to hand the CXO calls to someone more senior, this isn't the right fit. If your instinct is to pick the first five accounts, write the pursuit plan, and take the call yourself, keep reading.
What You Will Own & Build
Own
Logos.
Land and grow five of the Top 25 NeoClouds as meaningful customers, and land 25 more from the rest of the list.
TCV.
Deliver $20M in total contract value across the base. We measure on TCV because these customers sign multi-year commitments.
Expansion.
Grow the existing NeoCloud base outside committed contracts such as CoreWeave.
Pipeline and forecast.
Own both for the whole segment, and carry a named-account number yourself.
Your team.
Hire, onboard, and coach a growing team of BD Pursuit Specialists / AEs. Set the KPIs and ARR-conversion targets they are paid against.
Build
You build this with the Field CTO, Strategic Partnerships, an SE and Cloud Operations beside you, and with your AEs as they join.
Route to market.
Own the Sell-To motion for the segment, with its own plays for each type of NeoCloud. No two NeoClouds behave alike, so you choose the play for each account. Write the pursuit plan for the Top 25 NeoClouds: the order we go after them, the buying group in each, and the play for each.
Sell-With.
This is Strategic Partnerships' motion, and you work it in tandem with them, not underneath them, on OEM and ISV flywheels with partners such as NVIDIA, Super Micro, Weka, VAST, and AMD. When a NeoCloud wants help selling Backblaze storage to its own customers, you and Strategic Partnerships decide together how to staff it.
Deal structure.
Negotiate SLAs, IP, revenue share, and infrastructure-as-a-service terms when Backblaze runs behind a NeoCloud's service.
Internal selling.
Bring our Executives (including the CEO), Cloud Operations and Engineering into each integration, and keep them engaged after signature. This is as much internal selling as external.
Executive sponsorship.
Secure a Backblaze executive sponsor and a customer executive sponsor for every priority account, then run CXO conversations without senior leadership in the room.
Transition.
Take over open NeoCloud opportunities and existing coverage from the current BD owners by the end of Q1. Exceptions are handled case by case.
What We Are Looking For
Infrastructure fluency.
You know or can get fluent in the NeoCloud infrastructure stack: GPU compute, networking, storage, and orchestration. You can spar with our Field CTO on architecture without needing drive-level detail. Storage experience is a plus.
Executive presence.
You have built SVP, CTO, and CXO relationships and can run those meetings alone. You have landed and expanded multi-year committed contracts.
Product depth.
You can work with senior product and development teams at a NeoCloud and hold a strategic conversation, not only a commercial one.
OEM and ISV deal experience.
You have negotiated service integration, SLAs, IP, revenue share, and infrastructure-as-a-service structures. You have done these deals, not watched them.
Seller of record.
You have carried a quota and closed deals with your name on them.
Leadership.
You have led a small, senior, quota-carrying team and still carry a number yourself. A Specialist team in a large organization, esp in early days a plus.
Executive sponsorship.
You win sponsors on both sides of the table.
A Plus (though not essential)
Experience selling to NeoClouds, GPU clouds, hyperscalers, cloud providers, or AI infrastructure companies
Experience building a new segment or coverage model from scratch
Familiarity with S3-compatible object storage, data egress economics, and AI/ML data pipelines
This Is Not the Role for You If
You want to run an established territory rather than build a new segment
You no longer carry a number yourself
You need senior leadership in the room to open or close CXO conversations
You see SLA, IP, and revenue-share terms as legal's problem, not yours
You treat partners and Cloud Operations as a handoff rather than as part of the deal
How We Will Interview
We will ask you to bring a plan on how you'd build the market for NeoCloud, and tell us what you would do differently. We will ask about how you worked on building executive relationships . We will ask for your own view of how you would approach this role. You will hold cross-functional conversations with the Field CTO/ VP of our SE Team and Strategic Partnerships, because you will work beside them every day. And you may go through a panel, so we can see how you work.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's customer-facing teams are often the first place a customer sees what Claude can do. As a Demo Engineer, you'll build the demos, reference implementations, and reusable tooling that help those teams make new capabilities tangible, relevant, and trustworthy, ideally within days of a product launch rather than weeks after.
This role sits between product engineering, technical storytelling, and GTM execution. You'll own ambiguous, high-leverage problems end to end: prototyping an agentic experience for a new capability, then hardening it into something reliable that other teams can run on their own. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and our sales and solutions teams, and you'll bring what you learn from customer-facing work back to the people building the products.
Because a demo is frequently someone's first impression of what our models can and can't do, accuracy and honesty matter as much as polish. Success in this role looks like customer-facing teams demonstrating new capabilities sooner and with more confidence, recurring requests becoming reusable assets rather than one-off projects, and field insights shaping product and launch-readiness decisions.
Responsibilities
Own demo readiness for new and priority Claude capabilities, including environments, integrations, synthetic data, evaluations, reliability checks, and fallback paths
Build prototypes, agents, and reference flows that make complex capabilities concrete and tie them to clear customer outcomes
Turn recurring requests into reusable accelerators such as companion apps, templates, Skills, plugins, and self-service demo packages that scale across customer-facing teams
Partner with GTM colleagues on high-impact customer moments, unblock critical technical gaps, and spot the patterns worth turning into shared assets
Build internal agentic systems that automate demo preparation, validation, and asset maintenance, so demos stay current as products change
Translate patterns from customer-facing work into product feedback, launch-readiness priorities, and systemic improvements with Product and Engineering
Define and raise the bar for demo quality across accuracy, safety, reliability, usability, and adoption
Decide when a customer need calls for a bespoke build and when it should become a shared capability
You may be a good fit if you have
Proficiency in Python or TypeScript, with experience shipping working software end to end
Hands-on experience building applications or agents on top of LLM APIs, including prompting, tool use, and retrieval
Experience designing integrations with third-party APIs, data sources, and services
The ability to take an ambiguous capability or customer need to a working prototype quickly, and then make it reliable
Clear communication of technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including sales and solutions teams
Comfort collaborating across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and GTM teams
Experience in a demo engineering, solutions engineering, sales engineering, forward deployed engineering, developer relations, or product engineering role
A track record of building reusable internal tools, templates, or self-service assets that other teams adopted
Hands-on experience with Claude Code, the Claude Agent SDK, the Model Context Protocol (MCP), Skills, or plugins
Experience building evaluation or validation harnesses for AI systems, including reliability checks and graceful fallbacks
Experience building always-on or scheduled agentic systems that automate internal workflows
Experience building synthetic or sanitized datasets that make demos realistic without exposing sensitive information
Front-end or product design skills that help demos feel polished and intuitive
Experience supporting product launches or running launch-readiness programs
A history of turning field feedback into concrete product input that influenced a roadmap
A passion for making powerful technology safe and beneficial, and a commitment to representing model capabilities accurately and honestly
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$240,000

Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

This is a senior individual contributor role. You will work independently on complex, ambiguous problems, influence decisions across People, Finance, Legal, and IT, and serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer and other senior leaders. We are looking for someone who pairs deep technical benefits knowledge with sound business judgment, a bias for operational excellence, and a genuine commitment to the employee experience.
Responsibilities:
Own the benefits strategy and roadmap, covering medical, dental, vision, life and disability, FSA/HSA, 401(k), leave of absence, mental health and wellness, and global/international offerings, and recommend changes backed by data and market benchmarking.
Lead the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment cycle: plan design analysis, funding and cost modeling, carrier negotiation, communications, system configuration, and post-enrollment audits.
Manage broker, carrier, PEO/EOR, and third-party administrator relationships, holding vendors accountable to service levels, pricing, and employee experience standards.
Partner with Finance to forecast, budget, and report on benefits spend, and identify cost containment and plan optimization opportunities without compromising employee value.

Design and deliver clear, engaging benefits communications and education that help employees make informed choices.
Evaluate benefits for new geographies and acquisitions, and support the integration of new employee populations.
Build scalable processes, documentation, and metrics (participation, cost per employee, utilization, satisfaction) and report insights to People leadership.
Stay current on regulatory changes, market trends, and emerging benefits solutions, and proactively bring recommendations to the team.
Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive benefits experience, including significant ownership of renewals, open enrollment, and vendor management in a high-growth technology or similarly fast-paced environment.
Deep working knowledge of US benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and state/local requirements) and of health plan funding models, including fully insured and self-funded arrangements.
Demonstrated ability to analyze plan data, build cost models, and turn them into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Experience with benefits administration platforms and HRIS systems (for example, Workday, Rippling, or similar) and with managing carrier and eligibility integrations.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with a track record of improving cost, service, or employee outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex topics simply to employees and executives alike.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
High standards for accuracy, confidentiality, and sound judgment with sensitive employee information.
Comfortable working with a highly distributed team across time zones.
Nice to Have:
Experience supporting benefits for a multi-country workforce or through M&A integration.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CEBS, SHRM-CP/SCP, or PHR/SPHR.

🚀 THE ADVENTURE AHEAD
As a founding member of our Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and real-world impact. This is not a plug-and-play role with a pre-written playbook. You will work hand-in-hand with our most forward-thinking, strategic customers to transform complex L&D workflows into autonomous, high-impact AI agents. By translating customer challenges into reusable platform capabilities, you will play a central role in establishing our FDE function from the ground up, defining what success looks like, and shaping the future of AI-first learning.
🛠️ THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Build the Blueprint: Thrive in extreme ambiguity. You won't just follow operational rituals—you'll create them. You’ll define how our FDE team operates, set internal playbooks, and figure out the technical roadmap as you navigate uncharted territory alongside our clients.
- Deploy Autonomous Intelligence: Partner directly with our strategic enterprise customers to map complex L&D workflows, pin-pointing high-impact opportunities for agentic AI integration.
- Architect Custom AI Agents: Design, build, and deploy bespoke AI agents that integrate seamlessly with customer systems and the Docebo Agent Hub.

- Build the Discipline: Shape the founding FDE team culture, operational rituals, and internal playbooks while defining our technical roadmap and cross-functional org design.
💪 YOUR SUPERPOWERS
- Full-Stack Craftsmanship: 5+ years of hands-on experience building, shipping, and maintaining production-grade full-stack software products.
- Agentic AI Expertise: Prior experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying agentic AI systems and LLM-powered applications in production environments.
- Product-First Mindset: A strong customer-centric focus with the confidence and communication skills to engage directly with enterprise stakeholders.
- Founder Mindset & Ambiguity Tolerance: You don't wait for clear specs or structured hand-offs. You are energized by undefined problems, comfortable making high-stakes decisions with partial information, and obsessed with taking complete ownership from zero to one.
- Rapid Prototyping Agility: Proven ability to quickly build prototypes, experiment boldly, and iterate based on real-world usage and customer feedback.
- Modern Tech Fluency: Proficiency in our core tech stack, including frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend development (Next.js, TypeScript).
- Systems Architecture: Strong architectural background with solid experience navigating distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, and LLM providers.
- Ecosystem Familiarity: Experience using modern engineering tooling like GitLab, Datadog, OpenTofu, and multi-LLM orchestration tools.
💬 OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS
- Step 1: We’ll kick things off with a 30-minute video call with a member of our Talent team. We’ll get to know you, share more about the role and team, and make sure we’re aligned.
- Step 2: A 60-minute video call with the hiring manager, where they’ll dig deeper into your experience, approach, and what excites you most about this opportunity.
- Step 3: A hands-on technical deep dive and architecture discussion with key stakeholders.
- Step 4: A final conversation focused on culture fit, team dynamics, and cross-functional alignment.

9-Month Contract Position
About the Job:
We're looking for a Regional Growth Marketing Manager to drive pipeline growth through digital campaigns and paid channels, in close collaboration with global marketing and regional Sales. This is a senior, individual-contributor position for someone who knows how great regional digital marketing programs are built in B2B SaaS. The role spans tactics through hands-on execution, shaping and building the growth approach for EMEA and APJ rather than running a standard playbook.
You'll join a growing international marketing team in an essential role, reporting to the Director, International Marketing. You'll take ownership of the regional digital strategy and execution in close collaboration with the global Marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
Drive regional new-logo pipeline growth through digital and paid channels in EMEA and APJ.
Partner with the global team on paid and digital campaign execution (SEM, paid social, and paid ABM), helping set regional strategy from planning through execution, optimisation and reporting.
Drive the digital ABM motion for the region, turning Sales input into actual targeted, paid campaigns.
Adapt global campaigns for regional messaging, rather than deploying generic global assets.
Build and own region-native digital content, platform launches, and offerings, doubling down on successful programmes.
Surface and mitigate region-specific risks, helping ensure efficient media spend.
Own digital pipeline reporting and ROI for the regions, tracking leads, conversion, and spend against campaigns, and reporting results back to leadership.
Partner closely with EMEA and APJ Sales and SDR teams to align digital campaigns with account priorities and pipeline targets.
Operate independently: define approach, channel mix, regional tools or platforms, and budget requests in line with regional Sales needs and the wider marketing strategy.
Qualifications:
8+ years' experience in a digital/growth marketing role with a focus on ABM, paid digital, and demand generation for B2B SaaS in EMEA and APJ.
Track record owning digital pipeline growth end-to-end: strategy, execution, budget, and reporting, with close interaction with Sales.
Direct experience running paid social, SEM, and ABM programmes in regions, with clear attribution back to pipeline and revenue.
Hands-on experience with a CRM (Salesforce or similar), a marketing automation platform (Marketo, HubSpot, or similar), and ABM/paid tools (6sense, Demandbase, or similar).
Experience adapting global campaigns for regional markets: localisation, messaging adaptation, regional content, as well as creating their own regional campaigns.
Experience working across EMEA and APJ; an additional language is a plus.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity operating across international markets.
Confident self-starter and communicator with a positive, hands-on and can-do attitude; comfortable operating independently and driving outcomes autonomously.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Deployment Strategist, you'll work as part of a driven and creative team of Forward Deployed Engineers, Go to Market professionals, Product Engineers and other Strategists to deploy ElevenAgents, our enterprise AI platform, against the challenging problems our customers face. Your mission is to synthesize disconnected streams of thought into a cohesive understanding of what the most important problem is, what the existing workflows are, what the product needs, what users are motivated by, and where the impact could be.
No two days are the same, but as a Deployment Strategist you can expect to:
- Meet with strategic customers to deeply understand their AI transformation goals and locate their biggest pain points, particularly around customer-facing and operational workflows powered by AI agents.
- Own flagship deals end-to-end — from identifying the right use case to structuring commercial terms (including outcome-based pricing, license fees, and implementation arrangements) and driving them to close.
- Embed yourself deeply inside strategic customers: act as a trusted partner with a provisioned account, spend meaningful time onsite, and own delivery outcomes as if you were part of their team.
- Identify high-impact use cases through close engagement with customer problems and workflows, and collaborate with Forward Deployed Software Engineers to bring them to life.
- Guide customers on best practices for deploying our products (e.g. ElevenAgents); including agent design, agent orchestration, production readiness to maximize adoption and impact.
- Scope out potential applications in new industries and expand our AI solutions across different sectors globally.
- Present the results of our work and proposals for future work to audiences ranging from technical teams to C-suite executives.
- Collaborate with our Research teams to feed field insights back into ElevenLabs' platform and models, helping shape the roadmap.
- Build and deliver compelling demos of ElevenAgents and our broader AI technology to new and existing customers.
- Collaborate daily with customers' engineering and executive teams to ensure agents reach production and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with customers in a technical capacity. Direct enterprise customer experience is preferred.
- Experience in product development, delivery, and change management
- Commercial instinct: comfort engaging in deal conversations, structuring value propositions, and navigating enterprise sales cycles alongside GTM partners.
- Basic proficiency in Python and familiarity with API integration, sufficient to prototype, demo, and communicate credibly with engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; particularly the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and structure clear logic in pursuit of optimal solutions.
- A proven track record of taking ownership of complex, ambiguous projects and delivering results.
- Adaptability to work across different customer environments, industries, and technical use cases.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with common LLM, tooling and AI agent frameworks.
- Ability to creatively map enterprise use cases and workflows to AI systems
Location
This role is remote-first, so it can be executed from anywhere in Italy, with a preference of Milan. Expect regular travel for customer onsites. Fluency in English and Italian and a deep understanding of the regional and cultural nuances is required.
We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability or other legally protected statuses.

About WorkOS 🚀
WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations.
We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Sierra, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.
ABOUT THE ROLE 💭
We're looking for a frontend-leaning Product Engineer with strong product sense, judgment, and taste to help shape and build Passport https://workos.com/passport. With Passport, accessing your work apps is as simple as unlocking your device, instead of battling one sign-in prompt after another. You’ll build the experiences that make that seamless, while giving administrators clear control over access.
You'll help decide what gets built and carry it through to production. Working directly with customers, you'll turn complex identity and device workflows into clear employee and administrator experiences, with hands-on engineering across the stack.
You’ll work in an AI-native engineering environment, using AI tools to prototype, build, and iterate while maintaining a high bar for product quality and technical correctness.
RESPONSIBILITIES ✔️
- Work directly with customers, solutions engineering, and go-to-market teammates to understand their identity and device setups, identify friction, and prioritize focused improvements.
- Build onboarding and access-management experiences that help employees get started and administrators confidently manage access.
- Own features from implementation through release and iteration, making pragmatic technical tradeoffs that balance maintainability with momentum.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and security engineers to make complex access workflows simple and secure.
- Help shape how AI agents access company tools, working with adjacent product teams to make connections and configuration understandable.
QUALIFICATIONS 🌟
- 5+ years of industry software development experience, including shipping user-facing products.
- Strong frontend engineering: accessible interfaces, well-structured application state, fast interactions, and thoughtful loading, empty, error, and recovery states.
- Full-stack capability: design useful APIs, reason about data models and queries, implement authorization behavior, and debug production issues. Your deepest expertise may be frontend; you can own work across layers and collaborate with specialists when needed.
- Strong product sense and judgment: understand customer needs, identify the right problems, and make thoughtful tradeoffs about priorities, scope, quality, and speed, including knowing what not to build.
- Strong product taste: you shape how a product works, not just how it looks. You can rethink complex workflows, choose sensible defaults, and make the right actions feel obvious.
- Clear communication and independent judgment through ambiguity, with the curiosity to learn unfamiliar systems and collaborate across disciplines.
- Bonus: Identity, authentication, authorization, or enterprise integrations, including SAML, OIDC, or SCIM.
- Bonus: Experience building desktop applications or device-management workflows.

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
External Platform builds and operates mission critical platforms that power how customers build on top of and with Figma. The team owns our MCP, Rest API and Gateway integrations powering millions of users as they work across design and code.
As an Engineering Manager on External Platform, you’ll lead a team of senior engineers working at the intersection of engineering, operations, and platform strategy. You’ll partner closely with some of our largest customers, Legal, and Program Management to translate shared goals into durable, scalable outcomes.
While this team works on our external platforms, the focus is on reliability and extensibility. You will operate the platform supporting our fastest growing products and provide APIs and frameworks that both internal teams and customers built on top of. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating in ambiguous, cross-functional spaces, amplifying the impact of strong ICs, and driving outcomes through platform leverage.
This is a full time role that can be held from our NYC hub or remotely on the East Coast of the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
Lead, grow, and support a team of engineers building foundational infrastructure for Figma’s AI products
Partner with customers, engineering and product leaders from across Figma to define the team’s technical strategy and manage the day-to-day project execution
Hire, coach, and develop senior and staff engineers to scale the team
Roll up your sleeves to engage deeply with technical details and decisions as needed in order to help the team deliver on a robust AI platform with urgency
Build an inclusive team and culture through thoughtful team-building and hiring practices
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
3+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing, fast-moving teams, ideally in the AI platform space
8+ years of total engineering experience, ideally reaching a staff engineering level as an individual contributor
Experience managing platform teams with a focus on reliability and extensibility
A proven track record of motivating, mentoring, and growing experienced engineering leads
Experience building and scaling engineering teams and org structure as they grow
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Experience with MCP Infrastructure and integrations
Experience with LLM, AI gateways
A background in adjacent infrastructure domains
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
