About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the Role
We're looking for an Engineer to lead the design and development of Vercel's Financial Data Platform, the foundational system that powers revenue reporting, consumption-based billing, financial forecasting, and compliance across the business. This is a unique opportunity to architect the data infrastructure that Finance, Accounting, and Revenue Operations depend on to close the books accurately, forecast revenue with confidence, and scale with the business.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Data Engineering, you'll define the technical vision for Vercel's financial data ecosystem, partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and Revenue leadership to translate business and compliance requirements into scalable systems, and build reliable, auditable pipelines using modern technologies like Kafka, ClickHouse, Tinybird, and Snowflake.
You'll lead from the front, writing production-grade code, setting the bar for data accuracy and governance in a domain where correctness isn't optional, and mentoring a team of engineers as the function grows. If you're excited by the challenge of building financial-grade data systems that the business trusts for reporting, forecasting, and audit, we'd love to hear from you.
What You Will Do
Design and implement a data platform that supports revenue recognition, consumption-based billing, and financial reporting across batch and real-time workloads, leveraging Kafka and streaming technologies to power real-time usage and billing pipelines feeding revenue and consumption forecasts.
Work directly with FP&A, Accounting, and RevOps to understand reporting requirements, close-cycle timelines, and forecasting needs, translating them into technical architecture and ensuring data availability and accuracy align with financial reporting deadlines, audit cycles, and board-level reporting needs.
Define and maintain guidelines for financial data ingestion, transformation, and storage, with a focus on auditability, lineage, and data integrity, while overseeing data modeling, ETL, and warehousing (ClickHouse, Tinybird, Snowflake) to support low-latency analytics and reliable historical reporting.
Develop end-to-end solutions across the finance data stack, setting the example for engineering excellence in a high-accountability domain, and mentor engineers on both technical craft and the added rigor required when data feeds directly into financial statements.
Partner with Security, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit to ensure financial data pipelines meet SOX, SOC 2, and other regulatory requirements, and champion high availability, fault tolerance, and auditability through comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
Drive architectural decisions and roadmap planning that balance efficiency, scalability, and the strict correctness requirements of financial systems, and evaluate build-vs-buy tradeoffs across financial and billing tooling (e.g., ERP, billing, and revenue platforms).
Build the data infrastructure that translates raw usage into revenue, supporting the forecasting models Finance and GTM rely on for target-setting and reporting, and collaborate with data science and FP&A teams on forecasting, incrementality analysis, and revenue modeling at scale.
Act as a key decision-maker for evaluating and selecting data architectures and technologies critical to Vercel's financial operations, and establish a multi-phase roadmap for finance data platform maturity aligned with company growth and audit readiness.
About You
8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related field, with a track record of owning production data pipelines end-to-end.
Proven track record designing and operating large-scale data infrastructures in a complex, fast-paced environment, with experience across Kafka and its ecosystem (e.g., Kafka Streams, Confluent Platform), ClickHouse, Tinybird, Snowflake, and broader big data frameworks.
Prior experience building data pipelines that feed financial reporting, revenue recognition, billing, or consumption-based pricing models, with familiarity with financial/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday) or billing platforms considered a strong plus.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and associated big data services.
Strong background in data governance, security, and compliance, including direct experience supporting audit, SOX, or SOC 2 requirements, and a rigorous approach to data lineage and accuracy.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate financial and accounting requirements into technical architecture and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Finance and Audit leadership.
A leadership mindset, with demonstrated ability to mentor teams, drive consensus, and advocate for best practices in high-accountability data environments.
Industry recognition or notable contributions in data engineering (e.g., published works, open-source contributions) is a plus.

Company Description
We’re http://checkout.comCheckout.com http://Checkout.com. You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day.
We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers.
Whether you want to book a holiday, order food, renew a subscription, or check out online, there’s a good chance our tech powers the payments behind the scenes. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale.
If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.
With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
As a Staff Engineer (Payment Processing) at Checkout.com http://Checkout.com, you will set the technical direction for our Gateway, Routing and Payout platforms. Every payment and payout we process passes through these systems, from the merchant's API request to the routing decision that sends it to the right acquirer, payment method or payout rail. Correctness matters on every transaction, and small changes in availability, latency or routing quality show up directly in our merchants' approval rates and revenue.
This is a role for engineers who are energised by scale and by the hard trade-offs that come with it: latency budgets on the authorisation path, failure domains and blast radius, consistency and idempotency across regions, and the operational reality of running critical infrastructure around the clock.
You will operate as a force multiplier across multiple teams - shaping architecture, raising the engineering bar, and turning ambiguous, business-critical problems into designs that can be delivered incrementally. We're looking for individuals with deep technical judgement, strong ownership, and a pragmatic approach to breaking big problems into smaller iterations that deliver value continuously.
How you'll make an impact
- Own the architecture of high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems, defining the service boundaries, data models and integration patterns that let them scale by an order of magnitude
- Design for resilience from first principles - redundancy, graceful degradation, backpressure, idempotency and recovery - so that partial failures never become customer-facing outages
- Set and defend the non-functional requirements that matter: availability targets, latency percentiles, throughput ceilings, data durability and recovery objectives
- Lead the hardest technical decisions end to end, from problem framing and design review through to production rollout, migration and decommissioning of what came before
- Drive operational excellence by improving observability, alerting, capacity planning, load and chaos testing, and incident response, and by closing the loop on the root causes you find
- Raise the engineering bar across teams through design reviews, code review, pairing and mentorship, growing the senior engineers around you
- Partner with product, platform and other engineering teams to sequence delivery, remove blockers and keep multi-team programmes aligned on a single technical direction
- Make pragmatic build-versus-buy and refactor-versus-rewrite calls, and communicate the reasoning and trade-offs clearly to both engineers and senior leadership
Experience and qualifications
- Significant experience building and operating distributed backend systems in production, with a track record of technical leadership across multiple teams
- Demonstrable experience designing for high throughput and low latency, and a strong intuition for where systems break under load
- Deep understanding of resilience patterns in distributed systems: idempotency, retries and backoff, circuit breaking, queueing and backpressure, consistency and failure modes
- Strong proficiency in either .NET or Java, and the ability to write clear, production-ready code that others can maintain
- Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures, and with relational and non-relational data stores at scale
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based application development (we use AWS & Azure), containers, orchestration and infrastructure as code
- Experience owning production systems on call, with a strong sense of ownership for observability, monitoring and incident response
- Experience leading complex migrations or re-architectures of live, business-critical systems with no loss of availability or data integrity
- Excellent communication skills, able to influence without authority, write clear design documents, and express technical trade-offs to engineering and non-technical audiences alike
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in payments, financial services or another domain with strict correctness, auditability or regulatory requirements
- Experience with multi-region or active-active architectures, including data replication and failover strategies
- A history of mentoring engineers into senior and staff-level roles

About the Job:
AI-powered workflows are only as good as the customer data underneath them. LaunchDarkly helps engineering teams ship software faster and more safely through feature management, experimentation, and AI delivery tooling. As our GTM Data Governance Manager (MDM), you will set the rules that make our core customer data (accounts, contacts, subscriptions, and users) accurate, consistent, and trusted across Salesforce, our billing and finance systems, marketing automation, product usage data, and the data warehouse.
This is an individual contributor role with real ownership of the data model and its standards. You will partner with Data Engineering, GTM Systems, Finance Systems, Legal, and Security to put those standards into production. Your work is the foundation for reliable reporting, accurate territory and segmentation, clean pipeline attribution, and the AI workflows that depend on high-quality data.
Responsibilities:
Own the MDM roadmap and operating model for the account, contact, and organization hierarchy domains.
Define golden record rules: matching, merging, survivorship, and parent/child hierarchies across CRM, billing, product, and support systems.
Set data governance standards, including ownership, stewardship roles, definitions, and quality SLAs, in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success. Run the processes for onboarding new data sources, handling change requests, and managing lifecycle events such as mergers, acquisitions, and customer reorganizations.
Design and monitor data quality rules, scorecards, and dashboards covering completeness, accuracy, duplication, and timeliness. Drive remediation and report data health, risks, and progress to leadership with clear metrics and business impact.
Specify integration patterns and acceptance criteria across Salesforce, the data warehouse, and enrichment providers, and work with Data Engineering and GTM Systems to build them. Recommend build vs. buy for MDM, identity resolution, enrichment, and data quality tooling.
Provide trusted, well-documented data products for analytics and AI use cases. Act as the data owner with Legal and Security on PII handling, GDPR and CCPA requirements, retention, and access controls.
Who You'll Work With:
Data Engineering and GTM Systems build pipelines and Salesforce configuration. Legal and Security own privacy and security decisions, and you inform them as the data owner. You own the rules, standards, and acceptance criteria that tell everyone else what "correct" looks like.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in data management, data governance, data engineering, or analytics, including 2+ years leading MDM or data quality programs.
Hands-on experience designing match, merge, and survivorship rules and golden record or hierarchy models, with results you can describe.
Experience with Salesforce data models and CRM data quality at scale.
Experience building and operating a data governance framework: policies, stewardship models, and SLAs.
Ability to translate business needs into data requirements and explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
A track record of delivering cross-functional programs without direct authority.
Nice to Have
Experience at a B2B SaaS company with a product-led or hybrid sales motion, including mapping product users and workspaces to CRM accounts.
Familiarity with enrichment and firmographic data, entity matching approaches, and ML-assisted or LLM-assisted matching and cleansing.
Working knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and security frameworks such as SOC 2.

About the Job:
LaunchDarkly is seeking a People Systems, Analytics and AI Manager to be our subject matter expert on HR systems and to turn People data into insights that help business leaders make better decisions. You will build the reports, analytics, and dashboards that tell the story of our workforce, and you will use AI tooling to make those stories faster to create, easier to understand, and more compelling.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, People Programs, Systems and Analytics. You will work closely with People Operations, Finance, and leaders across the business, and you will own your work from question to insight to action.
We are looking for someone who combines deep HR systems knowledge with strong analytical skills, creativity in how data is presented, and sound judgment about people data and AI.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert for our HR systems (HRIS, applicant tracking, performance, compensation, and learning platforms), including configuration, data integrity, security roles, integrations, and release management.
Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics on headcount, hiring, retention, engagement, compensation, and workforce planning that leaders use to make decisions.
Partner with People, Finance, and business leaders to translate questions into clear metrics, definitions, and analyses, and to recommend actions based on what the data shows.
Use AI tools to accelerate analysis and create compelling data stories and visualizations, including automated insights, natural-language summaries, and executive-ready narratives.
Establish and govern People data standards: metric definitions, data quality checks, documentation, and a single source of truth across systems.
Protect employee data by applying privacy, confidentiality, and access controls, and by partnering with Legal and Security on responsible use of AI with People data.
Own the intake, prioritization, and delivery of system and reporting requests, balancing quick turnarounds with scalable, self-service solutions.
Automate recurring reports and manual workflows to reduce effort and errors, and identify new opportunities where systems and AI can improve the employee and manager experience.
Support system projects such as new module rollouts, integrations, data migrations, and annual cycles (performance, compensation, and engagement), including testing, training, and documentation.
Enable People Operations teammates and managers through training, office hours, and clear guides so they can use data and tools with confidence.
Stay current on HR technology, analytics, and AI trends, and bring practical recommendations to the Director, People Programs, Systems and Analytics.
Qualifications:
8+ years of related experience in HR systems, People analytics, or HR operations, with hands-on ownership of reporting and dashboards in a technology or high-growth environment.
Expert-level knowledge of at least one major HRIS (for example, Workday, Rippling, or similar), including report writing, calculated fields, and security configuration.
Strong proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (for example, SQL, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar) and advanced spreadsheet skills.
Demonstrated fluency with AI tooling to analyze data, generate insights, and build visualizations and narratives, with sound judgment about accuracy and appropriate use.
Ability to translate business questions into metrics and communicate findings clearly to non-technical leaders.
Strong understanding of data integrity, privacy, and confidentiality practices for employee data.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders independently and deliver on time with attention to detail.
Curious, pragmatic problem solver who enjoys simplifying complex processes and data.
Comfortable working with a highly distributed team across time zones.

Experience with data pipelines, data warehouses, or scripting (for example, Python or dbt).
Experience with integrations and workflow automation tools.
Knowledge of workforce planning, compensation, or engagement analytics.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Turso core database team and help bring forward the future of agentic databases. Turso is both an Open Source database that replaces SQLite—with an ongoing project to also support the Postgres interface—and a Cloud offering where users can create databases on demand. You’ll work closely with customers and other teams at Supabase to build the future of what databases look like in a world where users and agents are creating millions of databases a day.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building database technology tools that scale to billions.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Driving the progress of the Turso Open Source database, in particular the Postgres compatibility layer.
- Making sure code works, and never breaks, and putting the systems and guarantees in place for that to happen.
- Maintaining the Turso Cloud operations, including the Cloud API and data plane operations.
- Improving the scalability of the Turso Cloud operations to support a 100x larger number of databases
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU
- Have written databases before, and/or other high-stakes low-level systems like Hypervisors, OS Kernels, storage devices, etc.
- Have experience working with remote teams and Open Source communities.
- Have a passion and experience for correct systems that work, and have the experience in the tools to make that happen: Deterministic Simulation Testing, formal verification methods, fuzz and differential testing, etc.
- Have experience deploying, operating and debugging large scale software systems in production in cloud environments such as AWS & Kubernetes
- Have experience improving the observability, reliability and performance of complex cloud systems.
- Are comfortable working in Rust.
- Are comfortable with LLM-assisted development and evals.
- Are comfortable working with Embedded databases.
- Communicate clearly across both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Are energized by solving real-world problems for developers
- Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and moving quickly
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.
- ESOP
Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.
- Tech Allowance
Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.
- Health Benefits
Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us.
- Annual Off-Sites
Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.
- Flexible Work
We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.
- Professional Development
Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love.
- ~400 team members
- 60+ countries
- 20+ languages spoken
- Over $1B raised (including our $500M Series F)
- 540,000+ community members
We move fast, build in public, and use what we ship. If it’s in your project, we probably use it in ours too. We believe deeply in the open-source ecosystem and strive to support—not replace—existing tools and communities.

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Runway is building AI to simulate the world. We think world models, not language models alone, are the path to general-purpose simulation: systems that experience the world, learn from their mistakes, and change how stories get told, how science gets done, and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Applied AI is where that research meets a customer with a deadline. Every one of the world's largest studios, brands, and platforms hits a moment where Runway stops being a demo and becomes the way they actually make things. Our team exists for that moment, and we organize around one question: what's blocking this customer from production, and how do we remove it?
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a role for people who want to own a problem, not an account. You'll sit with the biggest studios, brands, and Fortune 100 companies in the world, figure out what's actually standing between them and production, and build whatever removes it. Some weeks that's a workflow. Some weeks it's a plugin or an integration nobody has written yet. Some weeks it's getting a room of executives to make a decision they've been putting off.
Your work will be on screen: Emmy-winning shows, Oscar-winning films, Super Bowl commercials, the stuff people actually watch. And the things you build for one customer tend to become product for all of them. Our team's first Shopify plugin started as a customer blocker and was in engineering's hands within a few weeks. We treat this team as R&D for that reason, not as a cost center.
We have offices in NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, and London.
NO TWO WEEKS ARE THE SAME, BUT YOU CAN EXPECT TO:
- Find the real problem: sit with the creative, technical, and executive teams at a customer, map how they actually work, and locate the blocker between them and production. Usually it's one of three things: a missing integration, an unproven pipeline, or a stakeholder who isn't convinced yet.
- Build the first of its kind: the demo that shows a studio head or a Fortune 100 CMO something nobody has shown them before. Working proofs of concept on the customer's own brand, footage, or catalog, often built in a day or two before the meeting, and the best of them become product for everyone.
- Make it reusable: turn the one-off that unblocked one customer into the workflow, plugin, or integration the next ten customers start from.
- Run the evaluation: own evaluation plans end to end, guide managed trials, build tailored demos on the customer's own footage and brand, and carry the technical side of deal cycles with AEs.
- Scope deployments that land: 4–12 week engagements with customer-defined success criteria, a hands-on builder and an executive sponsor on their side from day one, and enough discipline to keep them on scope when the asks start piling up.
- Get customers to production fast: take new technical and non-technical customers from signed contract to first production call in days rather than quarters, grow API-only accounts into Platform + API, and fix the onboarding so the support tickets stop coming.
- Present to anyone: walk an analyst through a pipeline in the morning and a studio head through a production plan in the afternoon.
- Bring the field back to the product: embed with Product, Engineering, and Creative to turn what you saw at the customer into roadmap. Every repeat ask is a product requirement, not a patch.
- Measure what the customer measures: time to production, usage before and after a project, what they shipped because you were there. We track our own numbers in Salesforce and the warehouse; you'll own yours.
WHAT WE VALUE
- People who aren't satisfied with surface-level answers and will go into the data, the code, and the room to find the real one
- Low ego: the customer's outcome matters more than who gets the credit
- Comfort with open-ended problems in unstructured environments, and the instinct to create structure instead of waiting for it
- Builders who would rather prototype than debate, and who keep iterating with the customer until it actually works
- Adaptive and introspective: willing to learn, guide, lead, and follow
WHAT WE NEED
- You build things that run in production. Python or TypeScript, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines. Whether you write the code yourself or with coding agents, you can read it, debug it when it breaks, and explain line by line why it's built that way, including to a customer's engineering team. You've shipped something a customer actually ran: a workflow, an integration, a plugin, or an internal tool.
- You've deployed AI or ML systems and integrations inside complex organizations and can point to the outcome, not just the delivery
- You can hold a room of executives and a room of engineers, and translate between the two. Some of those rooms are at the customer, so expect some travel.
- Nice to have: data tooling (SQL, BigQuery, Retool), or experience in media, entertainment, or advertising production
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a GRC Analyst to join our Compliance & Security team and help make risk management, audit and compliance a continuous part of how Supabase runs. You’ll work closely with engineering, security, IT, and legal to help us define our risk tolerance, keep our compliance programs (including SOC 2 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022) current, test controls on a rolling basis, and answer customer and vendor security reviews quickly and accurately.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building developer tools that scale to millions.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Run risk assessments across the company and major product changes. Score likelihood and impact, propose treatments, and bring the results to leadership to inform risk tolerance decisions.
- Maintain the risk register, track remediation to closure, and report status to compliance and security leadership.
- Monitor controls on a rolling basis, using automated tests where they exist and manual testing where they don’t. Triage failures, prioritize by the risk register, and align each finding with an owner and a due date.
- Support internal audit, whether performed by an external partner or in-house: propose scope from the risk register, supply evidence, and track findings to closure.
- Run day-to-day operations for our compliance programs: evidence collection, control owner follow-up, and readiness ahead of each audit period.
- Extend continuous control validation beyond what our compliance platform covers. Build custom tests with AI coding tools, work with engineering and IT to pull evidence from source systems instead of collecting screenshots, and check that each test proves what the control requires.
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU
- Have 3+ years of experience in GRC, internal audit, or security compliance at a SaaS or technology company
- Are comfortable working with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls, a compliance platform such as Drata, Vanta, and evidence from systems like AWS, GCP, Google Workspace, and Okta
- Communicate clearly across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Have experience in async or globally distributed teams

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Learn the Platform: Become an expert on Sierra's platform and how AI agents transform customer experiences, from agent design and workflows to integrations, so you can speak credibly with technical and business stakeholders.
- Discovery & Demos: Participate in efficient discovery calls to understand customer needs, answer technical questions (ideally in a single conversation), and grow to deliver standard product demos and account coverage for the sales team.
- Proofs of Concept: Support senior SEs in building demos and proofs of concept, and keep demo environments current and ready for customer use.
- APIs & Integrations: Educate customers on Sierra's APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns, and build and deploy scripts against a test environment on demand.
- RFPs & Collateral: Help the team respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, and create presentations, positioning statements, and other sales collateral.
- Partner with Sales: Advocate for your AEs and customers in internal technical conversations, join customer meetings and events, and keep CRM records and opportunity data accurate.
- Close the Loop with Product: Act as a bridge between Sales and Product, translating customer feedback into actionable input and enrolling the right customers in beta programs.
- Grow Your Craft: Complete product, sales, and process training and certifications, with structured coaching and mentorship from senior Sales Engineers.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as pre-sales, solutions engineering, technical support, or consulting. Strong internships or early-career experience count.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Working knowledge of at least one of: cloud software, APIs and integrations, or networking and automation systems.
- Curiosity about how businesses run and a genuine interest in building trusted relationships with customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail, plus comfort with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and standard productivity software.
- A collaborative, quick-learning mindset: someone who treats sales as a team sport and takes feedback well.
EVEN BETTER...
- Hands-on experience with APIs/webhooks, JSON, and scripting (e.g., Python or JavaScript).
- Familiarity with AI and ML concepts, workflows, or conversational AI and customer experience platforms.
- Exposure to consultative selling, or experience responding to RFPs and security questionnaires.
- A history of tinkering, whether with hardware, sensors, or side projects, that shows you learn by building.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
WHAT WE OFFER
We want our benefits to reflect our values and offer the following to full-time employees:
- Flexible (unlimited) paid time off
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family
- Life insurance and disability benefits
- Retirement plan dependent on country of employment
- Parental leave
- Fertility and family building benefits through Carrot

These benefits are further detailed in Sierra's policies, may vary by region, and are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefits plans. Eligible full-time employees can participate in Sierra's equity plans subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
BE YOU, WITH US

To do so, it is important to us that the diversity of our employees represents the diversity of our customers.
