Platform owns the
foundation
the company runs on: compute and deployment, reliability and on-call, CI/CD and monorepo health, developer environments, the infrastructure that model training and inference run on, and the security boundaries around all of it.
AI and agent tooling is the clearest example. You will contribute to how models are trained and served here, as well as how agents work inside our codebase: the environments they run in, the verification that makes their output trustworthy, and the review paths that keep it all legible. There is no industry standard and you’ll help form our opinions rather than inheriting one.
Our users are other engineers. Expect to spend time with all the other engineering teams, understanding their needs and building a roadmap. The scope is large, so you'll be choosing what to leave alone as much as build.
Architecture decisions here last: this is a small team covering a large surface. You'll have real room to decide things, and you'll stay close to the systems you decide about.
What you'll own
Own our platform:
GCP, Kubernetes, Temporal, the GPU fleet behind cloud export, and the deploy and rollback machinery everything ships through. You'll be in the on-call rotation, and we'll expect you to make it quieter and more actionable.
The AI enablement substrate:
GPU capacity, training and inference pipelines, and the reliability and cost of the systems serving models in production.
Cost is an engineering constraint:
infrastructure decisions have a number attached and you're expected to make smart trade-offs. As inference grows with usage, the metering and attribution behind those numbers sit with this team.
Security comes with the systems you run
: identity and access, secrets management, least-privilege boundaries, and supply-chain integrity.
Make what you build legible.
Infrastructure-as-code that explains itself. Runbooks and in-repo context written for someone jumping in to help. Observability that tells you what failed and why.
Improve how the team learns and ships.
Form hypotheses, instrument your work, release incrementally, and read results honestly. Strengthen the tooling, standards, tests, observability, and release practices that help the team move quickly without compromising quality.
Raise the team’s technical ambition.
Provide architectural direction, thoughtful reviews, mentoring, and clear human writing.
What you bring
Required:
You have 8+ years building and operating production distributed systems, or equivalent server-side engineering with a heavy infrastructure focus.
You effectively leverage agents to multiply your impact and think critically about how and when to harness AI in your work.
You've run systems where failure was expensive, and your opinions about reliability and deployment come from consequences rather than reading.
You've carried a pager, commanded an incident, and rolled back before you understood why.
You use SLOs and error budgets as operating tools.
You’ve used a major cloud provider and Kubernetes in production, with infrastructure-as-code as your default.
You've owned an architecture or migration, from planning through launch, whose consequences outlived the project, and you can say what you'd do differently.
You've found important unowned work, scoped it, earned buy-in, and delivered it without being handed a spec.
You build a minimal repro, read the logs, and write targeted checks to prove a fix works instead of trusting output.
Experience that helps:
GPU and ML infrastructure:
capacity planning, training or inference pipelines, serving cost and latency. If you haven't run a GPU fleet, experience with expensive capacity-constrained systems transfers well.
Production security engineering:
IAM, secrets, supply chain, least privilege. You don't need to have held a security title, but you should have owned these boundaries for systems you ran.
Cloud cost modeling:
commitment strategy, reservations, unit economics.
CI/CD:
at monorepo scale, and developer-environment work.
Intricacies of Video:
Media, video, or GPU-backed workloads.
Small teams owning a large surface:
whether at a Series B to D company or on an internal platform team.
Descript is a startup. We’re especially interested in working with engineers who use the product and are aligned with our mission. To that end, we promise to review any application that includes a share link to a Descript video. The video can be about anything - your career, a favorite game or movie, a discarded audition tape for Love Island. If you take the time to make something in Descript, we’ll commit to having a human watch it and review your application. 🤝
Compensation and benefits
Base salary: $220,000 to $292,000, plus equity and benefits. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location, and level, and may vary from the amount above.

GiveWell’s mission is to help people in need as much as we can by researching the most cost‑effective ways to save and improve lives, sharing our work openly, and directing donations to the programs we believe will do the most good. Our work, which focuses on global health and well-being, is funded by tens of thousands of donors who rely on our research to inform their giving. We’ve grown from directing $1.5 million in 2010 to directing more than $400 million in 2025. We anticipate our total grantmaking is likely to approach or even exceed $1 billion this year, and we are working toward a future that could be several times that scale. Through years of deliberate groundwork, we’ve been growing our research capacity and scope in order to direct substantially more funding to the most impactful opportunities we can find.
We’re hiring a Senior Communications Officer, Strategic Communications to lead GiveWell’s development of messaging and narratives that explain its work across different audiences and contexts. You will translate the organization’s increasingly diverse and complex work into clear, accurate communications and lead major initiatives that require close coordination across GiveWell.
This role will lead a small and growing team. This is one of three new communications leadership roles, alongside a
Senior Communications Officer, Media & Public Affairs
and a
Senior Communications Officer, Editorial & Production.
About the role
Both
our research and impact are expanding
. Last year, we directed more than $400 million to highly cost-effective programs that save and improve lives. This year, we expect our grantmaking to approach, and possibly exceed, $1 billion.
To build toward the communications capacity this next stage requires, we are rapidly expanding our team. The three Senior Communications Officers will work together on many projects to support GiveWell’s communications needs, while working closely with other leaders across our organization. Each leader will own their function, but much of the work that matters most—like team strategies, major initiatives, partnership campaigns, and how we present the organization as a whole—will involve all three. We will expect this group to set shared priorities and work closely together to achieve the team’s goals.
In this hands-on leadership position, you’ll own how GiveWell explains its work across different audiences and contexts, with end-to-end responsibility for this emerging function. You’ll set its strategy, hire and develop its people, build its systems, and personally own its hardest and most consequential work. This is an opportunity to build, not just inherit, an important function at a critical point in GiveWell’s development. You’ll start with a small team and grow it over time.
While this role is set at the Senior Communications Officer level, we may consider hiring an exceptional candidate as a Communications Director—with greater expectations, responsibilities, and compensation.
What You'll Do
As Senior Communications Officer, Strategic Communications, you will be responsible for translating GiveWell’s research, grantmaking, and ideas into messages, frameworks, and products across a variety of channels and contexts. You will also lead major communications initiatives, advise senior leaders and teams, and help GiveWell assess and respond to emerging communications opportunities and risks.
Specific duties will include:
Own how GiveWell’s brand positioning and guidelines are applied across teams, channels, and partnership communications, and work closely with the executive team on developing and maintaining them.
Own the messaging and narrative that make GiveWell’s work accessible and relevant without sacrificing rigor, precision, or clarity about uncertainty.
Translate GiveWell’s research, grantmaking, and ideas into messages and frameworks tailored to the audiences we most need to reach.
Partner with Philanthropy on GiveWell’s donor communications strategy and lead donor-facing communications that require new or tailored messaging.
Lead complex, cross-functional communications initiatives, including major partnership campaigns and other high-priority communications involving grantees and external partners.
Serve as a strategic communications advisor to senior leaders and teams across GiveWell, bringing a clear point of view on audiences, framing, opportunities, and risks.
Lead GiveWell’s internal assessment of emerging issues that may affect the organization and develop our position and messaging, working with relevant teams and the Senior Communications Officer, Media & Public Affairs.
Own the strategic direction and institutional messaging for GiveWell’s website, working with communications colleagues on execution.
Own GiveWell’s internal communications strategy and major internal communications, helping our growing organization stay informed and aligned.
Manage and develop one or two team members initially, and help determine how the function’s team, systems, and capabilities should grow over time.
About You
You are skilled at using communications to help people understand complex ideas, build trust, and take action. You are comfortable being accountable for outcomes, making consequential decisions with limited oversight, and knowing which decisions genuinely require escalation.
You are energized by intellectually demanding work, and the challenges of creating engaging communications within a careful and precise style. You can engage deeply with GiveWell’s research, and you are comfortable understanding and communicating about data in detail. You have a long track record of getting up to speed quickly on complex subject matter and carefully communicating to a very high standard. You can build a compelling narrative that is entirely factual, representing what is known and unknown without overstating or hedging into vagueness—and you find the idea of working with GiveWell’s exacting communications standards exciting rather than limiting.
Your background includes significant experience leading communications in complex, high-stakes environments. This should include 10+ years of experience developing institutional narratives and messaging, advising senior leaders, communicating complex or technical material, and leading cross-functional initiatives. You have deep experience owning that work end to end, not just contributing to it. You’ve remained a hands-on leader who enjoys the work itself, as well as the strategy and systems behind it.
You can assess a situation from multiple angles, determine what an organization should say and how it should frame the issue, and turn that judgment into messages and communications that others can use. Experience with organizational positioning, brand strategy, donor communications, web strategy, and internal communications is desired, but we do not expect every candidate to have worked extensively in all of these areas.
In addition to demonstrated expertise in the duties listed above, you should have:
Exceptional communications judgment, including the ability to understand audience, context, risk, timing, and the underlying substance of a message.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to quickly make complex ideas clear and compelling without sacrificing rigor or nuance.
A track record of building and leading: you have created or substantially rebuilt a team or function—not only run ones you inherited—and you have hired, developed, and managed people.
Recent, hands-on excellence at your craft: you can point to work from the past few years that you personally produced or substantially shaped.
Experience producing communications that are direct and factual while being engaging and effective with their target audiences—work that succeeds through substance and clarity rather than embellishment.
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to engage deeply with GiveWell’s research and ideas, even without prior experience in our giving areas.
Experience advising executives or other senior decision-makers directly.
Strong alignment with GiveWell’s mission and values, including truth-seeking, transparency, and a commitment to communicating accurately and thoughtfully.
We also think these qualities will help you do well in the role and at GiveWell:
People who can develop a strong point of view and hold it with confidence, but remain genuinely open to challenge, new information, and better ideas.
Self-starters who take ownership, are comfortable creating structure in an evolving environment, and can make thoughtful decisions without always having complete information.
People who are proactive and anticipatory, who identify opportunities, risks, bottlenecks, and communications needs before they become obvious.
Collaborative leaders who raise the quality of the work around them and build strong relationships across teams.
People who coordinate well with peers, resolve dependencies and disagreements, and make shared work clearer rather than more complicated.
Key Questions & Information
What are some of the reasons I might not like this role?
You want to step into a mature function with established systems, rather than build one while you run it.
You do best with clear direction and established priorities. We’ll expect you to set most of your own, make most decisions yourself, and reach substantial autonomy within your first six months.
You prefer advising on communications to producing and being accountable for them.
You want sole ownership of an organization’s overarching communications strategy and brand. At GiveWell, the CEO and executive team owns that direction; you would help shape it and lead your function within it.
You want to lead a large team from day one. This team is small today, and much of the most difficult work will be yours to do directly.
You find standards of precision and understatement limiting and frustrating. We work extremely hard to only communicate accurately what we know and what we don’t.
Can I apply to more than one of the Senior Communications Officer roles?
You can, but most people shouldn’t. We’re looking for deep expertise in these areas, and we expect most candidates with required expertise will be a clear fit for a single role. If you’re one of the few with real depth in more than one area, apply to both and tell us why. Otherwise, apply for the role you are most qualified for, and we’ll let you know if we think another role might suit you better.
What does this interview process entail?
We’ll use a combination of interviews, written exercises, and work trials to assess the qualities described above. We’ll share more specific details if we invite you to move forward to any of the following stages, but our current plan will likely include the following:
Application
Interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition Team
Compensated work trial with a set maximum number of hours
Interview with GiveWell's Chief of Staff to the CEO
Values interview
CEO interview and References
Note that you don’t need to submit a cover letter. We rely heavily on your resume and answers to the application questions below when we’re making early decisions. We encourage you to spend time responding to the application questions thoroughly and carefully.

About GiveWell
GiveWell is dedicated to finding and evaluating highly cost-effective global health and development opportunities, and we publish all the work, reasoning, and uncertainties behind our funding decisions. Our
giving funds
enable donors to contribute to the most impactful and cost-effective programs our researchers identify.
GiveWell is one of the world’s largest private funders of global development efforts. Trusted annually by tens of thousands of donors, GiveWell searches for highly cost-effective programs that save or improve lives the most. Since 2007, more than 150,000 donors have given over $2.6 billion through GiveWell to the most promising programs its research has identified, which we estimate will save more than
340,000 lives
.
GiveWell is most well-known for recommending a small number of
Top Charities
, which currently support
seasonal malaria chemoprevention
,
insecticide-treated nets
,
vaccine incentivization
, and
vitamin A supplementation
. However, most of our research capacity and grantmaking is devoted to
cost-effective opportunities outside of those programs
.
GiveWell
grants
have:
Helped governments
navigate changes to the funding landscape
and implement high-impact health programs, like
HIV/syphilis screening and treatment
for pregnant people in Zambia and Cameroon.
Sought to scope and scale promising interventions that don’t have clear existing implementers. We are supporting the
Clinton Health Access Initiative’s Incubator
to identify potentially cost-effective interventions and create programs that we would be excited to support in the future. For example, we
funded a program
to prevent tuberculosis among young children in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, India, that we co-designed with CHAI through the Incubator program.
Provided funding to ensure that programs that recently faced foreign aid funding cuts could continue, like
healthcare support and malnutrition treatment
in northern Cameroon.
Funded program delivery alongside strengthened monitoring and evaluation, as in our grants to support
treatment of clubfoot
and to
evaluate the program
.
Tested our
assumptions and refined our understanding
through further research and data collection, including
improved estimates of disease burden
and studies on
the effect of water chlorination on mortality
and
the impact of a tree-planting program on farmers’ income
.
We make our reasoning public and transparent so others can challenge it (sometimes we even
pay people to point out our errors
). We go to unusual lengths to check our assumptions and assess our impact, including
funding research
to address our uncertainties and gathering
independent monitoring and evaluation data
about the programs we support. We
change
our minds when the evidence demands it. For more about GiveWell, listen to Ezra Klein’s

What You'll Do
As Senior Communications Officer, Media & Public Affairs, you will combine long-term strategy and relationship-building with the ability to respond quickly and exercise sound judgment in sensitive or fast-moving situations.
Specific duties will include:
Set GiveWell’s strategy across media, thought-leader engagement, online communities, public forums and events, and other earned communications opportunities—including deciding where and when GiveWell should participate and overseeing those engagements.
Build and maintain high-trust relationships with journalists, editors, podcast hosts, event organizers, thought leaders, subject-matter experts, and other influential external stakeholders.
Identify, develop, and pitch substantive stories, event opportunities, and thought-leadership ideas that extend understanding of GiveWell’s work.
Own inbound media engagement, including situations that require rapid responses, close coordination with subject-matter experts, and careful judgment about what GiveWell can responsibly say—and about which responses need escalation.
Build and maintain GiveWell’s readiness for sensitive or fast-moving situations, monitor emerging issues in media and public conversations, and lead our external response when needed in partnership with others.
Advise GiveWell’s leadership on external opportunities and relationships, and prepare senior leaders and subject-matter experts for interviews, speaking engagements, and other public appearances.
Exercise sound judgment about when and how GiveWell should enter public conversations, including evaluating likely value, reputational considerations, and communications risks.
Evaluate and help shape public-facing communications partnerships, advising on which opportunities GiveWell should pursue and how we should participate.
Serve as a spokesperson for GiveWell in select media interviews, events, and other public forums, communicating our perspective clearly, accurately, and with sound judgment.
Work with grantees and other partners on press releases and other media-facing communications involving GiveWell or our shared work.
Manage and develop one or two team members initially, and build the relationships, systems, and additional capacity the function will need over time.

You have a demonstrated ability to build meaningful external relationships, identify opportunities worth pursuing, personally represent an organization’s perspective, and navigate public-facing situations in which context is limited, timelines are short, and judgment matters. Much of this should be work you executed yourself, in addition to work you directed. Experience in settings where precision and credibility were at least as important as reach is a strong signal of fit.

We’re hiring a Senior Communications Officer, Editorial & Production to lead the editorial quality and production of GiveWell’s communications. You will set the editorial bar, build the people and systems needed to produce excellent work consistently and at increasing scale, and personally shape some of our most complex and consequential content.
This role will lead a small and growing team. This is one of three new communications leadership roles, alongside a
Senior Communications Officer, Strategic Communications
and a
Senior Communications Officer, Media & Public Affairs
.
In this hands-on leadership position, you’ll own the editorial quality and production of GiveWell’s communications, with end-to-end responsibility for this emerging function. You’ll strengthen its standards, hire and develop its people, build its systems, and personally own its hardest and most consequential work.
What You'll Do
As Senior Communications Officer, Editorial & Production, you will be responsible not only for the quality of individual pieces but also for creating a content operation that can prioritize effectively, manage dependencies, use its resources well, and deliver reliably. This will require both senior editorial judgment and strong operational leadership.
Specific duties will include:
Own the editorial quality and production of GiveWell’s communications, ensuring that our work is clear, accurate, useful, carefully reasoned, and delivered on time. You will serve as GiveWell’s senior editor for our communications content, with responsibility for returning or correcting work that does not meet our editorial bar.
Build and manage the workflows, editorial standards, review processes, and production systems that allow GiveWell to create consistently excellent content at increasing scale.
Lead planning, prioritization, and resource allocation for GiveWell’s owned-content portfolio, managing dependencies and moving complex projects from concept through publication.
Uphold GiveWell’s voice and editorial standards across everything we publish, and help colleagues across the organization write within them.
Own the development of GiveWell’s recurring communications and reporting products, turning established priorities and messaging into clear, accurate content.
Personally create, edit, or substantially shape our most complex, sensitive, or high-priority content.
Oversee GiveWell’s website content operations, including the people and processes responsible for routine updates and publishing, so that the site remains accurate, current, and consistent with our editorial standards.
Serve as a senior editorial and production partner to teams across GiveWell, helping shape high-priority projects early, determine the right format and production approach, and establish clear roles, review paths, and timelines.
Oversee the production of design, visual, and multimedia assets across GiveWell’s channels, and the internal team and external contractors who create them.
Manage and develop one or two team members initially, and determine how the function’s team and capabilities should grow over time.
About You
You are skilled at using communications to help people understand complex ideas, build trust, and take action.
This should include 10+ years of experience leading editorial and content-production work, setting and maintaining editorial standards, managing writers and editors, and building systems that produce consistently high-quality work. You have deep experience owning that work end to end, not just contributing to it. You’ve remained a hands-on leader who enjoys the work itself, as well as the strategy and systems behind it.
You are a precise editor of complex or technical content: you read text literally and carefully, and you notice when a claim isn’t supported by the evidence behind it. You should be able to combine high standards for individual work with the operational judgment needed to prioritize, allocate resources, manage complex production, and increase capacity over time. You should understand how content is developed through writing, editing, design, audio, graphics, websites, and other formats—even if you are not personally an expert in every medium.
At GiveWell, the CEO and executive owns that direction; you would help shape it and lead your function within it.

PlanetScale is growing rapidly and reinventing the transactional database market. The PlanetScale platform offers both Postgres and Vitess clusters. Vitess, an open-source database clustering system for horizontal scaling of MySQL, enables businesses to efficiently handle large-scale data workloads — without sacrificing developer experience.
PlanetScale is backed with over $100M in venture financing from top-tier VCs including a16z, Kleiner Perkins, SignalFire, and Insight Venture Partners. And we serve some of the most innovative companies in the world such as Block, Anysphere (Cursor), MyFitnessPal, Etsy, Kick, and thousands more. Our customers entrust us with what is often their most precious digital asset, their data, so the stakes couldn't be higher. We're looking for early members of our Sales team that can form deep partnerships with our prospects and customers to help them adopt and succeed on the next generation of database infrastructure.
We host the databases behind companies like Cash App, Intercom, and Cursor. In other words: important databases.
We’re hiring a dedicated outbound SDR. You won’t inherit a dusty playbook assembled in 2017 and be told to “just add personalization.” You’ll help us build an AI-native outbound motion from the ground up. You’ll work with modern tools, help create the playbook, and have input into how we build outbound from here. This role is for someone who wants to sell, experiment, automate repetitive work, and learn how great infrastructure companies go to market.
If that sounds exciting, and slightly intimidating, that’s probably a good sign!
What ‘s the job to be done?
Find promising companies that should be using PlanetScale, but aren’t yet.
Research their architecture, growth, and likely infrastructure problems.
Build creative outbound campaigns using tools like Claude and Clay.
Talk to engineers and technical leaders without immediately saying, “Let me bring in someone technical.”
Turn interest into real pipeline: a mapped buyer, an actual problem, and a reason to solve it now.
Help determine what works, what doesn’t, and what we should scale.
These attributes describe you.
You have 1+ year of quota-carrying SDR or BDR experience.
You’ve consistently hit your number.
You’re early in your career, ambitious, and learning quickly.
You already use AI to improve how you work—not just to rewrite emails with the word “delve.”
You can show us something you built with Claude, Clay, or another AI tool and explain how it made you better or faster.
When you encounter repetitive work, your first thought is, “Could a robot do this?”
You’re curious about databases, infrastructure, and how modern AI companies are built.
You actively seek feedback rather than treating it as a personal attack.
What you will need.
Not literal points. We do not have a leaderboard. But these will help:
You’ve sold to engineers, platform teams, or infrastructure buyers.
You’ve worked in developer tools, infrastructure, or open source.
You’ve used Clay, Unify, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, or Salesforce.
You’ve worked somewhere with a real outbound playbook and know which parts are worth keeping.
You can explain what a database does without checking Wikipedia first.
Why PlanetScale
We're redefining how high-growth companies manage data at scale—and we work with some of the most exciting brands in gaming, consumer tech, and B2B SaaS.
PlanetScale is a profitable company with a philosophy centered around building small teams of p99 individuals and is recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in America.
At PlanetScale we believe in supporting people to do their best work and thrive no matter the location. Our mission is to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company. We strive to build an inclusive environment where all people feel that they are equally respected and valued, whether they are a candidate or an employee. We welcome applicants of any educational background, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, citizenship, socioeconomic status, disability, pregnancy status, and veteran status.
If you have a disability, please let us know if there's any way we can make the interview process better for you; we're happy to accommodate!

This role is based in San Francisco. You'll need to already live here
Total Compensation and Pay Transparency
An employee's total compensation consists of base salary + variable comp where appropriate + benefits + equity. A member of our Talent Acquisition team will be happy to answer any further questions when we engage with you to begin the interview process.

At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
APPLYING TO RENDER
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring the first members of Render's Scaled Programs Customer Engineering team to help run the technical side of our scaled, digital-first customer motion. You'll support high-growth accounts without dedicated technical coverage, including our startup program cohort, through programmatic, one-to-many engagement rather than a traditional one-to-one model. The role has two halves: running scaled programs (in-app engagement, targeted outreach against expansion and churn signals, webinars) and contributing to the tools and content that power the broader Field Engineering organization (health triggers, growth and expansion opportunities based on product usage, pricing and sizing tools, POC templates, and enablement content). You'll partner closely with our Scaled Account Managers and report into Render's Field Engineering organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with Scaled AMs and Field Engineering teammates to turn expansion and churn signals (bandwidth, egress, usage patterns) into plays: AM talking points, programmatic outreach, and in-app prompts.
- Operate startup program onboarding: Intercom checklists, guided flows, and activation follow-up for high-growth AI startups.
- Partner with Support Engineering to identify recurring mistakes and best practices, then turn those insights into programs and content that reduce customer friction.
- Build and improve components of our scaled-engagement toolkit: in-app programs, outbound triggers, pricing and sizing calculators (e.g., Heroku and AWS RDS migrations to Postgres), POC templates, and reusable technical enablement.
- Run scaled customer programs: webinars, Slack community touchpoints, and pattern-based outreach across account cohorts, partnered with Scaled AMs.
- Translate recurring customer questions and technical best practices into timely in-product guidance and self-service content.
- Maintain activity tracking and feature-request data hygiene so reliable customer signals flow to the rest of Field Engineering and Product.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role: customer engineering, solutions engineering, technical support, or developer relations.
- Comfort operating a high-volume, one-to-many motion; you can independently execute clearly scoped programs and build systems and content rather than relying on 1:1 time.
- Strong fundamentals across cloud infrastructure: containers, deploys, autoscaling, networking, and CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of Postgres and common database migration patterns (Heroku, AWS RDS).
- AI fluency: you use AI tools daily in your own workflow, and you're comfortable advising customers building AI-native and LLM-powered applications.
- Strong written communication; you'll be a primary producer of docs, playbooks, and in-app content.
- Data-driven, able to prioritize work against team goals, and comfortable asking for context or support when ambiguity could affect the outcome.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience with Intercom or a similar in-app engagement and messaging platform.
- Experience building internal or customer-facing tools that scale a team's impact beyond 1:1 work.
- Experience in a PLG or high-volume account environment.
- Prior experience with Heroku or other cloud migrations.
If this role excites you but you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you—your unique experience might be just what we need.
BENEFITS
- 4 weeks of paid vacation.
- 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.
- Long-term disability, life insurance, and 401K plans.
- 100% employer-paid medical coverage and 99% employer-paid dental and vision coverage for you and a dependent. FSAs and HSAs are available as well.
- Monthly lifestyle stipend for wellness, mental health and therapy, hobbies, etc.
- Monthly cell phone and internet subsidy.
- Commuter benefits for Renders in the Bay Area, and home office stipends for remote Renders.
- Continuous learning benefits & related support.

💫 This job description was written by a person
ABOUT US
Since 2013, we’ve been building a CRM that gets out of your way and helps your team sell more, faster. Now we’re building AI into every part of it, so Close does the busywork and your team does the selling. No manual data entry, no 10-click workflows. Just communication-first, AI-powered sales software designed to help you succeed and scale.
We're bootstrapped and profitable which means we answer to our customers and play by our rules. We're proud of our 120-person, 100% remote team, focused on building Close so that no small, scaling business fails because it can't figure out sales.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our GTM org has a lot of questions. Most of the questions we care about can’t be answered by spinning up a cute dashboard. Is branded search creating new customers or capturing demand that already existed? Did the homepage redesign improve conversion, or did our traffic mix change? If we’ve got some wild ideas for our next bet, where should the money go?
These kinds of big-picture questions require someone who can interrogate the metric, trace it through the warehouse, understand the business context, and turn it into action. This person will be our first Staff GTM Analyst. You’ll work alongside GTM leadership to make consequential decisions while still staying hands-on in the nitty gritty of all the data.
The best part: the way we answer these questions is changing. Effective SQL is just a few tokens away, dashboards can be Claude-ed in minutes, and teammates increasingly expect to find their own answers. You’ll build the semantic layers, context, and guardrails that make self-service possible, even trustworthy, then determine where an analyst’s expertise is indispensable.
YOU ARE
- An experienced analyst. You have roughly 8 years of hands-on, highly technical analytics experience. Most importantly: you’re backed by the pattern recognition that comes with having seen all sorts of hairy problems. You’re at the point in your career where you can take an ambiguous business question, dive head-first into the data, turn your findings into a decision, and bring everyone else along with you.
- A bridge between the technical and the business. You can build a model in dbt, work directly in Snowflake, and translate it into something actionable. You’ll partner closely with our Lead Analytics Engineer but you need to be willing and able to dive in and self-serve.
- Fluent in the quirks of GTM data. Attribution, channel definitions, UTMs, bots and broken tracking are known quantities. You don’t need to have been a dedicated GTM Analyst, but you should certainly know your way around this part of the business.
- Pushing the boundary of what AI means for analytics. AI is writing your first-draft SQL, analysis, and reporting and you’ve shifted that energy to bringing analysis into the future: building the semantic layers, context, and guardrails that let the team self-serve trustworthy answers.
- A trusted cross-functional leader. Teammates across functions and levels listen to you. You immerse yourself in the context of their needs and bridge gaps in understanding.
- Fiercely independent and accountable. You welcome a vague ask with aplomb. You’ll scope the problem, find the dependencies, bring in the right people, and drive the work through the analysis, recommendation…all the way to a fix.
- More concerned with impact than output. A polished dashboard is useful only when it changes what we do. You prioritize the questions that can materially improve acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue.
YOU WILL
- Make our GTM data trustworthy. You’ll define metrics, model the funnel from first touch through paid conversion, and reconcile discrepancies across Snowflake, Segment, Amplitude, GA4, and our ad platforms.
- Explain what we’re seeing. Why are trials up while paid conversion isn’t? Why are Snowflake and Amplitude disagreeing? Which channel is driving volume but producing low-quality customers? You’ll dig into the data until we understand what changed and why.
- Help decide what to do next. Are we on track to hit our goals? What would another investment in paid media produce? You’ll forecast, model the tradeoffs, and empower leadership to make the best possible decision.
- Own the outcome. Whether you uncover something small like broken campaign tracking or you’re focused on moving a major business metric, you’ll bring in the right people and shepherd the team to the data-driven outcome.
- Define the next era of Data at Close. You’ll help us move from a queue of reactive requests to a system where an agent spots changes, assembles the context, and gets the right insight to the right person at the right time.
BENEFITS
- Compensation: Competitive pay plus an organization-wide goal-based bonus
- Paid Time Off: ~5 weeks of PTO to start. Plus a 1-week all-company Winter Holiday Break and paid US holidays. You'll earn 2 extra days for every year you're with Close.
- 80% Work Option: Work with your manager to choose between a standard 5-day week or a 4-day week at 80% pay
- Parental Leave: Paid leave for primary and secondary caregivers
- Sabbatical: A 1-month paid sabbatical every 5 years with the team

OUR HIRING PROCESS
We ask a few role-specific questions as part of our application process. These questions are designed to help us learn more about you from the start, so please answer each one thoughtfully. We see this as an opportunity to get to know you beyond your resume.
We use AI tools daily at Close and expect candidates to do the same. In evaluating your application, we aim to get a sense for you - the way you think, how you communicate, the work you've done. Applications that read as fully AI-generated will not be considered.

Product engineering at Descript means owning outcomes, not just tickets — you'll take a problem from a rough idea to a shipped, measured result, working closely with product, design, and the rest of engineering along the way. We organize around a few teams, each responsible for a distinct part of the product:
Editor:
owns our video editor. Help make traditionally complex video-editing workflows simpler, craft cutting-edge AI into practical creative tools, and build on our vision of turning a text-editor for video into a tool that puts video in everyone's communication toolkit.
Growth & Monetization:
owns onboarding and activation, growth loops and in-product experiments, plans and pricing, checkout, billing, and AI credits. Help turn visitors into customers and customers into revenue.
Media:
owns project and media management (plus importing, managing, manipulating, compositing, transitions, shaders, visual and audio effects, rendering, exporting, and more!).
AI:
owns our agentic co-editor, Underlord, and the external API that allows it to scale. Help improve Underlord's harness to enhance its powers, polish its UX and editor integration, and add more capability to our API to unleash Underlord on the world.
Regardless of your team you’ll have the opportunity to design thoughtful full-stack systems that work reliably and deliver value to new and existing users.
What You’ll Do
Own meaningful product surfaces end to end.
Take problems from definition through design, implementation, launch, measurement, and maintenance. Improve core Editor workflows, shape the self-serve journey from signup through renewal, or help make Underlord more sentient.
Shape the product, not just the implementation.
Partner with Product and Design to propose better interactions, expose constraints, choose the right metrics, and find simpler paths to user outcomes.
Build ambitious full-stack systems with care.
Create responsive, reliable experiences. Stretch from TypeScript and React to NodeJS and Temporal to first and third party integrations to get the job done.
Required:
You have 5+ years of experience building and shipping customer-facing products, including end-to-end features that measurably improved user or business outcomes.
You effectively leverage agents to multiply your impact and think critically about how to better harness AI in your work.
You’ve owned features/experiments end to end, from planning through launch, and leveraged analytics and metrics to evaluate impact.
You orient quickly in unfamiliar systems by exploring and asking thoughtful questions to both your teammates and agents.
You care about how software feels and notice when the technically correct result is still wrong for the user.
You create clarity in ambiguous work and can navigate (and simplify!) significant product and technical complexity.
You validate your work rigorously through focused reproductions, logs, tests, and other evidence rather than trusting that the output looks right.
Experience that helps:
Similar Products:
Work on an editor, media product, creative tool, or payment system (like Stripe).
Our Stack:
TypeScript, HTML/CSS, React, Redux, Node.js, API design, Temporal Workflows, and SQL. But we obviously live in a post stack world. We just rewrote our media engine in Rust. None of us knows Rust.
Crafting with AI:
Building an agent or experimenting with media-generation models.
Experimentation/Analytics Experience:
We like people who know how to measure their success through experimentation and product analytics.
Intricacies of Video:
Shaders, graphics rendering, audio/visual effects, and media formats.
Descript is a startup. We're especially interested in working with engineers who use the product and are aligned with our mission. To that end, we promise to review any application that includes a share link to a Descript video. The video can be about anything - your career, a favorite game or movie, a discarded audition tape for Love Island. If you take the time to make something in Descript, we'll commit to having a human watch it and review your application. 🤝
Compensation and benefits
Base salary range: $200,000-$275,000, plus equity and benefits. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location, and level, and may vary from the amount above.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Manager, Enablement Programs, you will own the programs and operating system that help sellers ramp fast and execute with confidence — from global onboarding to role-readiness, Field OS, and AI-enabled enablement workflows. This role exists because we’re evolving our Enablement and GTM motion, and we need a leader to drive that change: set the standard for what “great” looks like in the era of AI, build an AI-native enablement model, and own the agentic workflows that help the field execute.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- By day 90: Build the first version of the Field OS as a seller-ramp unlock (priority workflows, trusted resources, and AI-enabled execution moments by role).
- By day 90: Map and prototype the core custom agents that help sellers ramp faster and apply the right support at each stage of the sales process.
- By day 90: Refresh onboarding around continuous iteration (A/B testing, measurement, and role-specific alignment to the sales process) and implement onboarding engagement + impact metrics.
- By day 90: Stand up a dedicated manager onboarding track to help managers ramp faster and reinforce new-hire success consistently.
- By end of year 1: Make onboarding and role readiness a repeatable system that measurably improves ramp and raises the bar on enablement quality through tight feedback loops and durable workflows.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Proven ability to design and run global enablement programs end-to-end (especially onboarding), including live + async modalities across regions and time zones.
- Strong program leadership and operating cadence: clear roadmaps, decision-making, stakeholder alignment, and measurement that drives iteration (not just reporting).
- Experience building scalable enablement systems (resource governance, intake processes, comms rhythms) that sellers actually use.
- AI-fluent approach to enablement: using AI and automation to improve quality, speed, and consistency of seller execution (and instrumenting adoption/impact).
- People leadership experience managing and developing a small team; sets high standards and builds a calm, high-ownership operating rhythm.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $220,000 - 275,000 per year.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply. Notion is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. Replit is the agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language. With millions of users worldwide, Replit is democratizing software development by removing traditional barriers to application creation.
About the Role
We are looking for an AI Agent Security Architect to function as the primary technical authority for Replit’s autonomous and AI agent security blueprint. In this critical role, you will design, implement, and maintain the runtime defense systems, guardrail frameworks, and sandboxing architectures that govern AI agents executing code, invoking tools, and reasoning across our platform. You will be a key technical contributor—leading high-impact AI security initiatives and bridging the gap between non-deterministic AI behavior and rigorous cybersecurity controls for both engineering and executive leadership.
What You'll Do
- AI Agent Security Strategy & Technical Execution
- AI Agent Security Blueprint: Define the long-term vision and architectural patterns for securing autonomous agent workflows, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, multi-turn reasoning loops, and multi-agent coordination.
- Runtime Guardrails & Policy Enforcement: Architect and deploy dynamic input/output guardrail systems, semantic firewalls, and real-time intent verification filters to prevent goal hijacking, system prompt leaks, and indirect prompt injections.
- Agent Execution & Tool Sandboxing: Partner with Infrastructure and AppSec teams to design secure, short-lived, micro-isolated environments (e.g., microVMs, WebAssembly, container sandboxes) where agents can dynamically execute code, run shell commands, and interact with host operating systems safely.
- Agentic Threat Modeling & Red Teaming: Conduct specialized threat modeling against non-deterministic systems. Lead automated and manual AI red-teaming initiatives to uncover vulnerabilities in RAG context pipelines, vector stores, and tool-calling interfaces.
- Identity, Delegation & Least Privilege: Architect fine-grained permission models and step-up Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) authorization patterns for agents acting on behalf of users—ensuring agents never exceed the delegated privileges of the end user or misuse API keys.
- Context & Memory Boundary Security: Design strict data isolation and poisoning prevention controls for vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and long-term conversation memories across multi-tenant workloads.
- Risk Management & Cross-Functional Enablement
- Maintain the AI Security Source of Truth: Define, document, and maintain authoritative secure design patterns and SDKs for engineering teams building internal or customer-facing AI agent capabilities.
- Contribution to Risk Register: Identify, quantify, and document non-deterministic and agentic security risks (e.g., OWASP Top 10 for LLMs & AI Agents, MITRE ATLAS), ensuring they are accurately represented in the Cybersecurity Risk Register.
- Auditability & Observability: Design tamper-evident logging and telemetry standards for agent reasoning chains, tool execution history, and context assembly to support incident response, forensics, and GRC requirements.
- Compliance & Sales Enablement: Partner with GRC to translate complex AI security controls into enterprise-ready audit documentation (e.g., ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act readiness) and support Sales on complex enterprise security inquiries regarding AI safety.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in security engineering or security architecture, with at least 2+ years dedicated specifically to AI/ML security, LLM application security, or securing agentic frameworks.

About Teleport
Don't wait for the future of infrastructure. Be part of it.
Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company. We're solving one of the hardest problems in security: giving every human, machine, workload, and AI agent a cryptographically secured identity, improving engineering velocity while maintaining security. We make trusted computing simple. This gives you the freedom, power, and autonomy to build and innovate with confidence.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we work with companies like Nasdaq, DoorDash, and Elastic to secure infrastructure for an AI world.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Senior People Business Partner, you’ll be a founding member of the Organizational Effectiveness function at Teleport. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Organizational Effectiveness, you’ll be a dedicated partner to our R&D organization: Engineering and Product. You’ll sit close to their senior leaders and managers partnering with them to keep these organizations healthy and effective over time.
This is a strategic role for an experienced People Business Partner who knows technical teams well. You’ll diagnose organizational health, spot trends and capability gaps as these teams grow, and partner with leaders to set priorities and work on what keeps R&D strong at scale: manager development, org design, succession, and leadership programs you can measure. You’ll work hand in hand with our HR team, who owns the employee lifecycle globally. You’ll share context, align on priorities, and give the leaders and managers you both support one consistent experience.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Diagnose the health of the R&D organizations you support: how teams are doing and where they're headed.
- Coach engineering and product managers on performance: how to set clear expectations, give direct feedback, and address problems early so teams stay high performing as they scale.
- Coach managers and senior leaders as they grow, and help them confidently guide their teams through change and navigate complex organizational challenges.
- Lead org design, team structure, and succession planning with your business leaders.
- Design leadership development and offsites that lift manager capability across the org, with a clear learning arc.
- Measure the effectiveness of programs and processes, and adjust based on what the data shows.
- Partner closely with the HR team, pairing your proactive work on org health with the structure and judgment they bring to how people are supported, so the People function is stronger for it.
- Bring modern tools, including AI, to work faster and sharpen how you diagnose org health, and help the managers you support do the same.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 12+ years partnering with senior leaders as a People or HR Business Partner or in organizational development, or 8+ years with an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience in infrastructure, security, developer tools, or a similarly technical product environment required.
- Deep experience partnering with technical organizations such as Engineering and Product, and fluency with how R&D teams operate.
- Experience supporting a technical organization through rapid scaling, with a clear view of which practices transfer at that stage and which do not.
- A track record of developing senior-level leaders and above, and coaching managers to improve their effectiveness.
- Strength in org design, succession, change management, and measuring the effectiveness of the programs you run.
- The presence to influence senior leaders and offer a candid point of view, without formal authority.
- Sound judgment on when to act, when to bring in HR, and how to hold confidentiality, working primarily from aggregate team-health data.
HOW WE HIRE:
Our process is designed to be straightforward and respectful of your time. We skip performative rounds and focus on what matters: understanding how you think and what you can do.
Why Teleport
You're joining a company where the problem is real, the team is small, and your work shows up directly in the product. We're not a big company, you won't get lost in a crowd. You'll have the freedom and autonomy to do what you're great at, alongside teammates who care about doing it right and want to see you succeed. The work is collaborative, there's real room to grow, and the mission is one worth showing up for.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we're genuinely passionate about what we're building.
The Benefits
At Teleport, we believe your career is more important than a list of perks. That's why we focus on making your day-to-day the best it can be — giving you the autonomy, access, and support to do the best work of your career.
- Extensive health coverage
- Annual expense budget
- Rest and recovery policies that maximize your ability to recharge
- Investment in your future with retirement savings plans
- Professional development opportunities

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Ramp, people are the single biggest lever on our trajectory, and the bar for who joins this team gets higher every quarter, not lower. We are hiring our first dedicated Recruiter for GTM Expansion, based in London: someone who can map a market, identify the operators who will outperform their peers and run a full-cycle process that wins them.
The UK is the immediate mandate. You will partner with local and US-based leaders to turn an ambitious growth plan into a real commercial team, from first conversation through offer close. You will also help us build the recruiting approach, market knowledge and candidate networks that support Ramp's expansion into new GTM markets over time.
The recruiters who do this best combine craft on the front end, research, identification and calibration, with execution on the back end, closing, candidate experience and pipeline discipline. We are looking for both.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own full-cycle recruiting for priority GTM Expansion hiring, starting with UK roles across Sales, Solutions Consulting, Partnerships and Customer Success.
• Build a sharp point of view on the UK market and future expansion markets: the companies producing strong talent, the people who outperform their peers and the communities that matter.
• Use research, data and AI as part of your everyday craft to identify and qualify exceptional candidates. We expect a written market point of view, not just a slate of profiles.
• Run thoughtful, personalised outreach grounded in the candidate's actual background, commercial motion or recent work. We care more about quality, replies and conversion than send volume.
• Partner with GTM leaders to turn ambitious hiring plans into a clear profile, credible process and realistic compensation strategy. Surface hard market truth early and push back constructively when needed.
• Own the candidate experience from first conversation through offer close: fast follow-up, clear communication, strong process discipline and a tailored closing plan for the candidates we most want.
• Build real presence for Ramp in London through the right relationships, referrals and targeted community activity. The point is pipeline and credibility, not events for their own sake.
• Work tightly with the wider GTM Recruiting team on calibration, sourcing support, insight and operating rhythm, while bringing strong local judgment.
• Help improve how Ramp recruits for expansion by capturing what works in the UK and applying it thoughtfully as we enter new markets.
WHAT YOU NEED
• 5+ years of full-cycle GTM or Sales recruiting experience, ideally in a high-growth technology company where quality and pace both mattered.
• Strong knowledge of the UK technology talent market and a credible local network, or clear evidence that you can build one quickly.
• A track record of finding and closing exceptional people, not simply running inherited processes. You can point to candidates you identified who became strong hires.
• Excellent sourcing and research instincts. You can explain why someone is genuinely differentiated, not only that they have the right title at the right company.
• Experience hiring across several GTM functions, such as AEs, Sales Leadership, Solutions Consulting, Partnerships, Customer Success or RevOps.
• Strong candidate-closing judgment. You listen closely, understand what each candidate is weighing and can build conviction against serious alternatives.
• The confidence to influence senior leaders, challenge a mis-scoped search and make a hiring process better without creating unnecessary friction.
• Comfort using data to understand funnel health, diagnose problems and hold an honest conversation about what needs to change.
• High ownership. You book the next step while you have the candidate, chase what is stuck and do not wait for a detailed brief to get useful work moving.
• Specific, sharp written communication. Your outreach and candidate updates should never feel template-driven.
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience recruiting for a fintech, SaaS, infrastructure or similarly complex B2B product.
• Experience joining a company as the first recruiter in a new geography, or helping to scale an international business.
• Experience building an AI-augmented recruiting research workflow.
WHY THIS ROLE
You will have unusual ownership over one of Ramp's most important growth priorities, with the support of an established Talent team rather than the isolation of a one-person recruiting function. The work is practical and high impact: build the UK commercial team, help leaders make better hiring decisions and raise the bar for how Ramp recruits as it enters new markets.
