WHY SDK ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
YOUR WORK WILL HAVE AN OUTSIZED IMPACT.
Our SDKs are downloaded 26M+ times per month. When you ship a new integration or improve SDK performance, thousands of developers benefit the same day — and they'll tell you about it in GitHub issues, on Twitter, and in our community channels. Everything you build is open source (MIT-licensed) and immediately visible.
The SDK is often the very first thing a developer touches when they try Langfuse, so your work directly shapes their first impression.
You will also have direct exposure to how cutting-edge LLM-applications are built. The users you serve are some of the best and most ambitious software engineers in the world and that leverage Langfuse to improve their applications. Deeply understanding the problems they solve will help you design the best possible SDK experience and along the way makes you an expert on LLM engineering yourself.
YOU WILL GROW AT LANGFUSE BY
- Owning our SDKs. We maintain SDKs in Python and TypeScript both built on OpenTelemetry. You'll be responsible for their reliability, performance, and developer experience. These SDKs run inside our users' production systems, which means they must never fail, must have minimal impact on CPU and memory, and must work flawlessly across every environment — from serverless functions to long-running agent loops. You'll think deeply about the exposed interfaces, error handling, batching, async flushing, and graceful degradation.
- Designing APIs that developers love. How are functions named, how are parameters structured, how are breaking changes communicated, how does the documentation read? Developer experience is a core differentiator for Langfuse and you'll own every detail of it. When we shipped the Python SDK v3 https://langfuse.com/changelog/2025-06-05-python-sdk-v3-generally-available and TypeScript SDK v4 https://langfuse.com/changelog/2025-08-28-typescript-sdk-v4-ga, both were full rewrites on OpenTelemetry — that's the kind of thoughtful, high-impact SDK work you'll lead. Apart from tracing, we also support core workflows of engineers building with LLMs with our SDKs, see our Experiment Runner SDK https://langfuse.com/docs/evaluation/experiments/experiments-via-sdk#experiment-runner-sdk for example.
- Integrating with every major AI framework: Langfuse integrates with 40+ frameworks and model providers: OpenAI SDK, Vercel AI SDK, AI SDK, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pydantic AI, OpenAI Agents, CrewAI, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, LiveKit, and many more. You'll maintain these integrations, ensure new Langfuse features are supported across all of them, and add new integrations as the ecosystem evolves. When a new framework gains traction, you'll be among the first to instrument it.
- Maintaining our OpenTelemetry endpoint: some users send traces directly to our OTLP endpoint https://opentelemetry.io/docs/specs/otlp/ instead of using our SDKs. You'll ensure this path is robust, well-documented, and supports the full range of Langfuse features. This also extends our language support to Java, Go, and any language with an OpenTelemetry SDK. You can work with the OpenTelemetry community to steer the GenAI conventions.
- Writing public documentation: you'll own the SDK docs, integration guides, and migration paths. At Langfuse, docs are part of our core product. When you ship a new SDK version or integration, the docs ship with it.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong engineer who gets excited about developer experience, API design, and writing code that runs reliably in other people's production systems
- Experience building or maintaining SDKs, client libraries, or developer tools — ideally in Python and/or TypeScript
- Deep understanding of performance: you know how to profile, benchmark, and minimize CPU/memory overhead in hot paths
- Someone who can manage projects themselves — you know how to develop strong conviction about what to build and how to ship it
- Thoughtful about versioning, backwards compatibility, and migration paths
- Interest in open source software and genuine excitement about talking to developers about their integration challenges
- Thrives in a small, accountable team where your output is visible and matters
- CS or quantitative degree preferred
Bonus points:
- Experience with OpenTelemetry internals or observability instrumentation
- Former founder or early startup experience
- Contributions to popular open source SDKs or developer tools
- ML/AI background or familiarity with the LLM framework ecosystem

WHY PRODUCT ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
Your work will have an outsized impact.
Everything you build is open source (MIT-licensed) and immediately visible. Langfuse has 35,000+ GitHub stars and our SDKs are downloaded more than a hundred million times per month. When you ship a new feature the community notices in GitHub issues, on X, and in our community channels.
Product engineers at Langfuse are the people who deliver new features end-to-end to our users. You own the product thinking from understanding the user problem to deciding what to build to shipping the solution.
You will also have direct exposure to how cutting-edge LLM applications are built. The users you serve are some of the best and most ambitious software engineers leveraging Langfuse to improve their applications. Deeply understanding the problems they solve will help you design the best possible product and along the way makes you an expert on LLM engineering yourself.
YOU WILL GROW AT LANGFUSE BY
- Own features end-to-end: from talking to users, to writing the spec, to shipping the code and docs, to writing the changelog post https://langfuse.com/changelog with your name on it. To give you a sense: recent features a single engineer owned include the Langfuse for Agents https://langfuse.com/changelog/2025-11-05-langfuse-for-agents release (new trace views, agent graphs, semantic span labels), the TypeScript SDK v4 https://langfuse.com/changelog/2025-08-28-typescript-sdk-v4-ga rewrite on OpenTelemetry, and managing dashboards via API/CLI/MCP https://langfuse.com/changelog/2026-07-17-dashboard-and-widget-operations-in-api.
- Work across the full stack: and we mean full. Our surface area is wide: React frontend, Next.js backend, ClickHouse analytics, Python and TypeScript SDKs, public docs, Terraform modules, and more. You'll touch whatever the feature needs. One week you might be writing a new ClickHouse query for cost analytics, the next you're designing an SDK API, the next you're building a new rust worker for faster data processing.
- Talk to users constantly: jump on calls, respond in community channels, and route support requests. At Langfuse, support is how we build conviction about what to build next. Our handbook says it best: support by engineers is a core value proposition.
- Write public documentation about the features you own. At Langfuse, docs are product.
- Ship publicly during Launch Weeks: we've run four Launch Weeks https://langfuse.com/blog/2025-10-29-launch-week-4 so far, dropping a new feature every day for a week. Engineers present the features they built to the community.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Someone who has built features or even entire products from scratch end-to-end
- Experience building and shipping user-facing products end-to-end, ideally in TypeScript/React and with exposure to data-intensive backends
- Someone who can manage projects themselves. You know how to develop strong conviction about what to build and how to ship it.
- Taste for great developer experience: you care about API design, UI details, and clear documentation
- Interest in open source software and genuine excitement about talking to developers about their problems
- Thrives in a small, accountable team where your output is visible and matters
- CS or quantitative degree preferred
Bonus points:
- Experience with ClickHouse, analytics databases, or building complex data visualizations
- Former founder or early startup experience
- Contributions to popular open source projects
- ML/AI background or familiarity with the LLM framework ecosystem
No candidate checks all boxes. If you feel you are a good fit for this role, please go ahead and apply.

WHY BACKEND ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
Your work will have an outsized impact.
Langfuse ingests terabytes of AI tracing data per day. When a Fortune 50 company instruments their application with Langfuse, they hit the infrastructure you built. Everything you ship is open source and immediately visible.
The core of your role is making Langfuse fast and affordable at scale: owning the ingestion pipeline, optimizing ClickHouse data models and queries so dashboards load instantly, and building the backend abstractions that let product engineers ship data-heavy features without reinventing the plumbing each time.
You will also make sure Langfuse runs everywhere. You’ll operate Langfuse Cloud across multiple production environments, and make self-hosting effortless. You will support a single Docker Compose setup to enterprise-grade Helm chart deployment.
You won’t be solving these problems alone. Langfuse is now part of ClickHouse, which means the people who built the database you’re optimizing are one channel away. Few backend roles give you that kind of access to the internals of your core datastore.
YOU WILL GROW AT LANGFUSE BY
- Own and optimize our ingestion pipeline: Langfuse ingests massive volumes of tracing data through a pipeline that flows from our API to ClickHouse. You'll work on throughput, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency at every stage of this pipeline.
- Make ClickHouse fast: our tracing data lives in ClickHouse. You'll design schemas, optimize merge strategies, tune batch inserts, write and review analytical queries that power dashboards and the UI. You'll become an expert on ClickHouse internals — and you'll have the ClickHouse database engineering team one channel away.
- Build new infrastructure-heavy features: things like LLM-as-a-Judge (where we post-process large volumes of ingested data asynchronously), alerting at scale, client-code execution, or batch dataset operations. Build the foundation and, if you like, dip your toes into the frontend for those.
- Test with real data in production: when evaluating a new ClickHouse schema, migration, or query optimization, you'll run load tests against production data to validate that changes actually improve things. We don't guess at performance. We prototype new table designs, run them in parallel on real traffic, and compare before committing.
- Scale for what's next: we're growing fast and new product directions like complex long-running agent observability and real-time evaluation push the infrastructure in new ways. You'll be thinking ahead about what breaks at 10x scale.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong backend engineer who gets excited about database internals, query optimization, and distributed systems
- You get excited when working with a ton of data
- Experience with analytical databases, data pipelines, or high-throughput event processing. ClickHouse experience is a big plus but not required
- You organize yourself. You have strong opinions about what to build and how to ship it
- Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript (our backend) and SQL
- Interest in open source software and genuine enjoyment talking to users about their scaling challenges
- Thrives in a small, accountable team where your output is visible and matters
- CS or quantitative degree preferred
Bonus points:
- Experience with ClickHouse, other OLAP databases, or observability infrastructure
- Former founder
- Background in building data-intensive systems at scale

Langfuse is hiring its first Product Manager. You will work with the founders to define the product vision and set the strategic direction. You will also work with Solution Architects, sales, and marketing. Your input will help shape product decisions.
Engineers at Langfuse own delivery from start to finish. They help find solutions and turn them into technical requirements. They implement and launch the work. They support each launch with documentation and changelogs. They also speak directly with customers to receive feedback on features and educate the roadmap. The whole company helps shape the quarterly roadmap. The engineering team then delivers it.
As Product Manager, you will look beyond the current quarter. You will build a deep understanding of our market and emerging trends. You will also study how engineers use AI to build agentic applications. You will use these insights to create clear product artifacts. They will define the user problems we want to solve and how we want to solve them.
WHAT YOU WILL DO AT LANGFUSE:
- Shape the product direction and translate long-term opportunities into clear priorities.
- Turn customer, community, and market insights into decisions about what to build and what not to build.
- Lead new product areas from research and scoping through launch.
- Work closely with founders, engineers, designers on APIs, SDKs, infrastructure, UX, and documentation.
- Align founders, engineering, sales, marketing, and key customers without introducing unnecessary processes.
- Make the product-engineering team more effective through clear context, strong judgment, and concise written briefs.
- You will own the quarterly roadmapping process and propose in which direction we should develop Langfuse.
WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO:
- Project Management for engineers. Everyone here can organize themselves, you do not need to do this.
- Slice large projects into Linear tickets. Single engineers execute on large projects in Langfuse.
- Communicate between customers and engineers. Engineers talk to customers daily.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- An experienced PM from developer tools, observability, infrastructure, data, or a similarly technical product.
- Technical enough to reason credibly about APIs, SDKs, architecture, and UX tradeoffs.
- You are hands-on: you test products, you talk to users, you maybe build a small prototype.
- Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and product taste.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, autonomy, and a fast-moving environment.
- Pragmatic, calm, organized, and focused on shipping.
- Excellent written and spoken communication.
- Deeply interested in AI and already using AI tools extensively.
- Experience with open source, enterprise software, or major platform shifts is a plus.

WHY INTEGRATIONS ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
Your work puts Langfuse into developers’ hands.
Our SDKs are downloaded 26M+ times per month, and for many developers the first thing they touch is an integration — a few lines of code that connect their favorite framework to Langfuse. When that experience is seamless, they’re wow’ed. When it’s not, we might have lost them. You’ll own that critical first impression across 40+ framework integrations.
You’ll live at the frontier of LLM application development.
The AI framework ecosystem moves fast — new agent frameworks, orchestration libraries, and model providers emerge every week. You’ll be among the first to instrument them, giving you unmatched exposure to how cutting-edge AI applications are built. The developers you serve are some of the most ambitious software engineers in the world, and working closely with them will make you an expert on LLM engineering yourself.
Everything you build is open source and immediately visible.
All Langfuse integrations are MIT-licensed. When you ship a new integration or improve an existing one, thousands of developers benefit the same day — and they’ll tell you about it in GitHub issues, on Twitter, and in our community channels.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build and maintain framework integrations. Langfuse integrates with 40+ frameworks and model providers: OpenAI SDK, Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pydantic AI, OpenAI Agents, CrewAI, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, LiveKit, and many more. You’ll own these integrations end-to-end — from initial implementation to ongoing maintenance as frameworks evolve. When a new framework gains traction, you’ll be among the first to instrument it.
- Design new integration patterns for emerging frameworks. When a framework or a new agent orchestrator appears, you’ll evaluate it, design the right instrumentation approach (callback handler, decorator, OTEL auto-instrumentation, or a combination), build the integration, write the docs, and ship it. You’ll develop strong opinions on what makes a great integration experience.
- Contribute to the core SDKs. While integrations are your primary focus, your work will surface needs in our Python and TypeScript SDKs. You’ll contribute improvements to the core SDK when your integration work demands it — whether that’s a new hook point, better context propagation, or performance optimizations.
- Write documentation and integration guides. At Langfuse, docs are part of our core product. When you ship a new integration, the guide ships with it. You’ll own the integration docs, quickstart tutorials, cookbooks, and migration paths that help developers get started in minutes.
- Be a voice in the developer community. You’ll engage with framework communities, respond to integration-related GitHub issues, write blog posts about new integrations, and be present in our Slack/Discord channels. You’ll build relationships with framework maintainers and represent Langfuse in the broader AI developer ecosystem.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Passionate about the LLM ecosystem. You’ve built real applications with frameworks like LangChain, Pydantic AI, Vercel AI SDK, LlamaIndex, or similar — or you have a deep willingness to go deep and get your hands dirty with every major framework in the space. You’re excited about this ecosystem, not just familiar with it.
- Strong in Python and/or TypeScript. You write clean, reliable code. You don’t need to be a systems-level performance expert, but you care about code quality and understand that integrations run inside other people’s production systems.
- Product-minded engineer. You think about the developer who’s going to use your integration at 11pm trying to ship a feature. You obsess over the getting-started experience: how many lines of code does it take? Is the error message helpful? Does the docs example actually work?
- Self-directed and motivated. You know how to develop conviction about what to build and how to ship it. You don’t wait for detailed specs — you investigate the framework, talk to users, and propose the right approach.
- Excited about open source and developer community. You genuinely enjoy talking to developers about their integration challenges, writing clear documentation, and contributing to open source projects.
- Thrives in a small, accountable team. Your output is visible and matters. You’re comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasks.
CS or quantitative degree preferred, but not required. We care far more about what you’ve built and your hunger to learn.
BONUS POINTS
- Experience with OpenTelemetry internals or observability instrumentation
- Contributions to popular open source projects, SDKs, or developer tools
- Experience building developer tooling, CLIs, or client libraries
- Former founder or early startup experience
- Active presence in AI/ML developer communities (blog posts, talks, open source)
No candidate checks all boxes. If you feel you are a good fit for this role, please go ahead and apply.
PROJECTS YOU COULD OWN
- Build and ship a Langfuse integration for an emerging agent framework (e.g., OpenClaw, new OTEL-based instrumentation)
- Design the integration pattern for a new category of AI tools (e.g., voice agents via LiveKit/Pipecat)
- Create comprehensive quickstart cookbooks that get developers from zero to traced in under 5 minutes
- Work with the OpenTelemetry community to improve GenAI semantic conventions
- Maintain and upgrade our most popular integrations (OpenAI, LangChain, Vercel AI SDK) as those frameworks ship breaking changes

Location: San Francisco; United States
Workplace: Remote
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
You can be fully remote, based in the United States, preferably in San Francisco.
We expect significant travel across the US, with occasional travel to other regions when the audience quality justifies it. The exact cadence will change with the event calendar, but you should expect travel to be a meaningful part of the job.
WHY THIS ROLE?
Langfuse has grown mostly through product-led, open-source adoption. We built a strong product, wrote useful docs and examples, stayed close to users, shipped in public, and helped developers understand how to build better AI applications.
However, many of the highest-signal moments happen in person: hallway conversations, workshops, meetups, dinners, conference demos, and technical talks.
We want someone who can own that motion end to end; put Langfuse in the right AI engineering rooms, make the product clear to technical audiences, and turn in-person conversations into durable marketing momentum.
The goal is not to do every event. The goal is to make the right events excellent, scalable, and measurable.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Represent Langfuse at conferences, meetups, workshops, customer events, partner events, and community gatherings across the US.
- Run live demos and technical sessions on tracing, evals, prompt management, datasets, metrics, and related LLM engineering workflows.
- Build and maintain field-ready material: demo flows, workshop runbooks, talk abstracts, event landing pages, follow-up emails, signup flows, and conference-in-a-box assets.
- Organize Langfuse-hosted meetups, workshops, dinners, and smaller technical gatherings around the highest-quality audiences.
- Partner with ClickHouse field marketing, sales, solutions, product marketing, and engineering teams where it helps Langfuse show up well.
- Turn event learnings into useful artifacts: better messaging, better demos, better docs, better talks, better customer stories, and sharper product feedback.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You have worked in DevRel, product marketing engineering, solutions engineering, field engineering, developer advocacy, or technical community roles.
- You have spoken at developer conferences, meetups, workshops, webinars, or technical customer events.
- You already create technical content, demos, videos, talks, open source projects, or educational material.
- You should be excited to travel, give talks, run demos, host events, talk to developers and technical leaders, and bring what you learn back into the company.
- You care about developer experience, open source, AI engineering, and the quality of the rooms you spend time in.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and can independently decide what to do before there is a mature playbook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
A strong plus:
- You are a former engineer, or deeply technical operator who can credibly explain software to experienced developers.
- You can write code well enough to build, debug, and maintain demos or workshop material.
- You are deep in AI engineering, LLM observability, evals, agents, or developer tools.
- You have original opinions that experienced developers value.
PERKS
- Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.
- Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare.
- Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options.
- Time off - Flexible time off in the US, generous entitlement in other countries.
- A USD$500 Home office setup if you’re a remote employee.
- Global Gatherings – We believe in the power of in-person connection and offer opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide offsites.

We are hiring a Head of Marketing for Langfuse.
This is a hands-on marketing leadership role for someone with deep experience in product marketing, developer marketing, and technical content. You will own how Langfuse shows up in the market, manage the Langfuse marketing team, and turn our current founder-led, product-led motion into a holistic marketing ecosystem.
The core of the role is still product marketing and developer trust: positioning, launches, category narrative, developer content, website, customer proof, lifecycle, funnel, sales enablement, and the way we explain Langfuse to technical users and technical buyers. At the same time, Langfuse now has access to ClickHouse's global go-to-market engine. You will be the person who makes those resources work for Langfuse without diluting the Langfuse voice.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own Langfuse marketing strategy and execution globally, with product marketing and developer content as the center of gravity.
- Manage and develop the Langfuse marketing team, including Product Marketing Engineering, Developer Advocacy, and Product Marketing content and resources.
- Define the operating model for Langfuse marketing: what sits in the Langfuse pod, what runs through ClickHouse shared teams, who owns what, and how we measure whether it is working.
- Build the marketing plan across positioning, launches, website narrative including product pages and conversion paths, customer proof, onboarding, lifecycle, funnel, sales collateral, campaigns, and events.
- Own the Langfuse category narrative: LLM observability, evals, prompt management, datasets, agent observability, self-hosting, and the broader LLM engineering workflow.
- Keep the developer motion strong: useful technical content, examples, cookbooks, docs-adjacent education, changelog, town halls, open-source communication, and high-trust product launches.
- Partner with ClickHouse demand generation and field marketing to make enterprise marketing systematic rather than ad hoc: webinars, workshops, regional events, conferences, paid campaigns, retargeting, and follow-up motions.
- Create the canonical Langfuse sales narrative and enablement system so ClickHouse AEs, SAs, field teams, and leadership can confidently explain Langfuse.
- Lead customer marketing and proof: case studies, technical stories, customer references, logo strategy, community stories, enterprise migration stories, and reusable sales narratives.
- Use data to run the function: unique visitors, signups, activation, revenue, product usage signals, campaign performance, attribution, event ROI, pipeline creation, pipeline acceleration, and qualitative user feedback.
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG:
- You have led product marketing, developer marketing, DevRel, growth, or demand gen marketing for a technical SaaS product.
- You have marketed to developers, infrastructure teams, AI teams, data teams, security teams, observability teams, or another highly technical audience.
- You are a strong product marketer at the core: positioning, narrative, launch strategy, competitive thinking, customer proof, sales enablement, and technical buyer messaging are natural territory for you.
- You write exceptionally well. You can make complex technical ideas clear without making them shallow.
- You are technical enough to use the product, understand the market, earn credibility with engineers, and spot vague or misleading marketing.
- You understand product-led growth and open-source funnels: activation, onboarding, conversion, lifecycle, self-serve adoption, usage signals, and sales-assisted expansion.
- You understand enterprise marketing enough to work with demand gen, field marketing, sales, solutions, and regional teams. You do not need to personally run every event or paid campaign, but you need to know what good looks like and how to make the system work.
- You can manage a small, high-talent team while remaining hands-on where the work needs senior judgment.
- You are comfortable building the function while the company is changing around you. Some work will be cleanly owned. Some work will require influence, coordination, and judgment across a larger organization.
- You already create content: blog posts, talks, product explainers, social posts, newsletters, videos, docs, demos, or open-source examples.

Workplace: Remote
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
You can be based in Europe; we're mainly remote and invite you to the Berlin office 3-5 days every two months.
We expect significant travel across the Europe, with occasional travel to other regions when the audience quality justifies it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Represent Langfuse at conferences, meetups, workshops, customer events, partner events, and community gatherings across Europe
