About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented QC Reviewer to ensure the quality and consistency of robot manipulation video annotations produced by our annotation team. You'll review labeled video segments against a detailed style guide and reference examples, catch errors or inconsistencies, and provide clear, constructive feedback to annotators. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and reliability of training data used for robotics AI models.
What You'll Do
- Review completed annotations of robot manipulation videos across three levels of labeling detail (atomic motion, skill/subtask, task/goal).
- Cross-check annotator descriptions against all three camera views (overhead and both wrist-mounted cameras) to verify accuracy of described actions, object identification, and contact/grasp details.
- Verify full coverage of each video — confirm there are no gaps in labeling, including idle or pause moments.
- Check that descriptions accurately reflect what actually happened in the video, including failures, drops, or slipped grips — flagging any instances where outcomes were inaccurately described or "smoothed over."
- Evaluate annotations for adherence to the style guide: correct vocabulary usage, spatial/directional accuracy, consistent terminology for objects and actions, and appropriate language variation (avoiding repetitive phrasing).
- Identify recurring errors or patterns of confusion among annotators and report them to the team lead for calibration purposes.
- Provide specific, actionable feedback on rejected or revised annotations, referencing the style guide and reference examples.
- Participate in periodic calibration sessions with the team and client to align QC standards with evolving guidelines or edge-case resolutions.
- Maintain a QC log or tracking sheet documenting review outcomes, common error types, and annotator performance trends (as required by the project).
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Excellent written English and strong reading comprehension — you'll be evaluating precise, nuanced language choices, not just checking for typos.
- Exceptional attention to detail — able to catch subtle mismatches between video content and written description (e.g., a mislabeled grasp type, an incorrect object part, a missed failure event).
- Strong grasp of spatial/mechanical description (left/right, above/below, object parts like handles, lids, edges) to verify annotator accuracy.
- Ability to apply a detailed, structured style guide consistently and make sound judgment calls in ambiguous or edge-case scenarios.
- Comfort giving clear, specific, and constructive feedback to annotators (written feedback, not just pass/fail marks).
- Reliable, self-directed work habits, with the ability to work independently while meeting review turnaround expectations.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in a QC, editing, proofreading, or annotation review role.
- Experience with video annotation, data labeling, or transcription QA specifically.
- Familiarity with robotics terminology (grippers, end-effectors, manipulation).
- Experience with annotation tools such as Label Studio, including review/approval workflows.

About the Role
We are looking for detail-oriented annotators to help label robot manipulation videos for AI training purposes. You'll watch short videos of robots performing manipulation tasks (filmed from three synchronized camera angles) and produce precise, structured, natural-language descriptions of the actions taking place. This work directly supports the development of robotics AI models and requires strong written English, sharp observational skills, and the discipline to follow a detailed style guide consistently.
What You'll Do
1. Watch short robot manipulation videos, each filmed from three synchronized camera views (an overhead view and views from each of the robot's two wrist-mounted cameras).
2. Break each video into time segments and write clear, natural-language descriptions for each segment.
3. Apply labels at three levels of detail for each applicable segment:
- Atomic motion (a few seconds) — a single small movement (e.g., "close fingers around the red handle")
- Skill / subtask (several seconds to ~20 seconds) — a complete, meaningful action (e.g., "pick up the red block by its edge")
- Task / goal (up to ~1 minute) — the overall purpose of a sequence of skills (e.g., "place all blocks in the container")
4. Ensure every moment of video is covered by a label at two or more of these levels — no gaps, including idle or pause moments.
5. Accurately describe exactly what happens, including when something doesn't go as planned (a dropped object, a failed grasp, a slipped grip). Precision matters more than making the robot look successful.
6. Cross-reference all three camera angles: use the overhead view to understand the overall scene and object identity, and the close-up wrist views to confirm exact contact and grasp details.
7. Follow a detailed style guide covering vocabulary for actions, spatial relationships, object descriptions, and manner of movement, applying it consistently across many episodes.
8. Participate in periodic calibration sessions to align your labeling with the team and the client's reference examples.
What We're Looking For
Required:
1. Strong written English — you'll write dozens of short, precise descriptive sentences per video and need to vary your language rather than repeating the same phrases.
2. Sharp attention to detail — able to distinguish small differences (a successful grasp vs. a fumble, a push vs. a drag, which specific object part is being touched).
3. Comfort following a detailed, structured style guide and applying it consistently, even in ambiguous or edge-case scenarios.
4. Basic comfort with spatial/mechanical description (left/right, above/below, naming object parts like handles, lids, or edges).
5. Reliable, self-directed work habits — this is often heads-down work with periodic check-ins rather than close supervision.
Nice to Have:
1. Prior experience with video annotation, data labeling, transcription, or QA work.
2. Familiarity with robotics terminology (grippers, end-effectors, manipulation) — helpful but not necessary, as the style guide is self-contained.
3. Experience with annotation tools such as Label Studio.

WHO ARE WE?
Cohere is the leading security-first enterprise AI company. We build cutting-edge foundation AI models and end-to-end products that are designed to solve real-world business problems.
We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
Role overview:
North is Cohere’s AI workspace platform for enterprises: a secure, customizable environment where companies can use AI across their real workflows while maintaining control over sensitive data. North connects AI agents with workplace tools, applications, and business context, helping users delegate complex work, build automations, inspect outputs, and collaborate with AI in production environments.
As North becomes more capable, one of the most important questions is also one of the hardest: how do we know whether the model is actually getting better for the workflows customers care about?
This role is about being the voice of North inside modelling. You will build the evaluation systems, feedback loops, and applied modelling workflows that make sure model progress translates into better product outcomes for North users. You will work closely with North product teams, customer-facing teams, and modelling teams to define what “good” means across the product surface, turn real usage and product direction into high-quality evals, and use those evals to guide model selection, patches, and regular model updates.
This is neither a pure research role nor a conventional product engineering role. It is a rigorous applied MLE role for someone who cares deeply about measurement, model behavior, and real-world product quality. You should be excited by the craft of building careful evals: evals that capture messy agentic workflows, reflect actual customer needs, resist superficial benchmark hacking, and provide useful signal for where the product and models need to go next.
Please note: this team works closely across Europe and East Coast North America time zones. We are open to candidates who can collaborate effectively within those hours.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the eval strategy for North: define what we need to measure across agent workflows, tool use, enterprise knowledge work such as deep research, document creation or editing, and other human-AI interactions.
- Build high-quality evals from the realities of the product: user feedback, production failures, privacy-preserving usage logs, internal dogfooding, customer needs, and forward-looking product goals.
- Create systems that continuously turn what North is learning from users, customers, and feature teams into evals, so measurement keeps pace with the product rather than becoming a static benchmark.
- Be the voice of North inside modelling: extract clear insight from eval results, customer-derived data and product context, then turn model failures, capability gaps, and North-specific needs into actionable recommendations for the central modelling teams.
Qualifications:
- You have improved LLM-powered, agent-powered, or AI-product systems through evals, feedback loops, data curation, prompting, model adaptation, or model selection.
- You care deeply about evaluation as a craft: representative tasks, precise rubrics, clean data, failure analysis, regression tracking, and knowing when a metric is giving false confidence.
- You have strong applied MLE judgment and can reason clearly about model behavior, eval validity, product outcomes, and production tradeoffs.
- You are comfortable working close to users and product teams, while translating messy qualitative signals into measurement that other modelling teams can act on.
- You are self-directed, practical, and motivated by open-ended problems where the right answer requires both technical depth and product understanding.
- You care about making AI systems genuinely useful in real enterprise settings, not just better on abstract benchmarks.
If some of the above does not line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply.
Working Location:
This role can be based remotely or from one of our office locations listed on the job description - there is no minimum in-office qualification requirement. We care most about hiring exceptional people regardless of locations, though please check the location listed on the posting for guidance around the core time zone or working hours alignment expected for the role.
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES AT COHERE ENJOY THESE PERKS:
- A weekly lunch stipend of $75/£75 or equivalent in your local currency for lunch.
- Full health and dental benefits, including a separate budget for mental health.
- RRSP matching, 401K, Pension Scheme.
- 100% Parental Leave top-up for up to 6 months, for either parent.
- Annual enrichment benefits:
Arts & culture, fitness/wellness, quality time, and a workspace improvement credit.
Education & learning stipend for conferences, courses, and coaching.
- 6 weeks of paid vacation (30 working days!)
- Budget for traveling to other offices if you are remote, plus an annual company offsite.
HOW AND WHERE WE WORK:
- Cohere is remote-friendly, but we also have offices in Toronto, London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul with more opening soon.
- For those in the office: a daily lunch program, plenty of snacks, and regular community and social events.
- For those not near an office: a co-working benefit so you can work alongside others in your city.
- Everyone receives a $500 home office stipend to set up your workspace properly.
If any of the above doesn’t line up exactly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply.
We strive to create an inclusive work environment for all; we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities. Should you require any accommodations during the recruitment process, please submit an Accommodations Request Form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12a6IrLdF3kI2nonKSr4tiFuz18rLQbaeYV-JM9L4o9Q/edit, and we will work together to meet your needs.
We may use AI-enabled tools to screen and assess applicants against the criteria for this position. This helps our recruiters identify potentially qualified candidates, but it doesn't limit the applications our recruiters may review or consider.
Beware of Scams: Cohere will never ask for payment or third-party services (e.g., CV writing) as part of our hiring process. All legitimate roles are listed on the Cohere careers page and LinkedIn only, with all communications from Cohere employees coming from an @cohere.com or @cw.cohere email alias. Help Us Build The Future of Travel
At Airalo, we're making it easier for people to stay connected wherever they travel. As the world's first eSIM store, we help millions of travelers access affordable mobile data in 200+ countries and regions around the world.
Today, we're a team of 400+ people across 60+ countries, building a product used by travelers every day. We've grown quickly, but we've worked hard to keep what matters: trust, ownership, and the freedom for people to do great work without unnecessary layers or bureaucracy.
We're fully remote by design, genuinely global, and united by a shared mission to make travel simpler for everyone.
Your Next Destination
Location: Remote.
Contract: Full-time, permanent.
Benefits: Learn more about our benefits here in this link - https://airalo-public.notion.site/Benefits-25396a97ffca81fb9bc1f0be479f1be3?pvs=74
Languages: English is our main working language day to day, so you'll need to be comfortable communicating in it both in meetings and async.
We're looking for a Staff Data Scientist, Pricing to build the analytical and machine learning capability that pricing runs on, from demand modelling through to the systems that recommend price.
You won't be starting from zero. We've invested in the foundational data and infrastructure that pricing decisions depend on. What's missing is the capability on top: models the business trusts, experiments that settle pricing questions with evidence, and economics defined once so they hold consistently across Commercial, Product and the customer experience.
The arc of the role runs from measurement to prediction to prescription - understanding how demand responds to price, forecasting how it will respond, and ultimately building the models that recommend the price itself.
What You'll Do:
Build and own the demand and elasticity modelling capability, quantifying how price affects volume across destination, duration, data tier, and customer segment.
Develop machine learning models for demand forecasting and willingness-to-pay, and take them from exploration through to production with the monitoring and retraining that keeps them honest.
Move us from predictive to prescriptive by building the optimisation layer that turns forecasts and elasticities into recommended prices under margin, competitive and partner constraints.
Design and analyse pricing experiments with statistical rigour, and apply causal methods where clean randomisation isn't possible.
Define pricing within our data ecosystem, owning the governed definitions of price, cost and package economics that reporting, analysis and product surfaces all read from.
Partner with Commercial and Finance to connect pricing decisions to margin and revenue, and to size opportunities before we commit.
Set the analytical standard for pricing at Airalo, from what counts as evidence through to how a model or recommendation gets validated before it influences live pricing.
What You'll Bring:
7+ years in data science, quantitative economics, or applied research, including pricing, monetisation, or marketplace economics work that demonstrably changed decisions.
Experience with dynamic or algorithmic pricing systems in production.
An advanced degree in Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research or similar, or equivalent applied depth in demand estimation and the identification problems that make naive price-quantity regressions wrong.
Hands-on machine learning experience across the full lifecycle, from feature engineering and model selection through to deployment
Familiarity with optimisation and decision-science methods that turn predictions into recommended actions, whether through constrained optimisation, bandits, or reinforcement learning approaches.
Proven experimentation expertise, having designed and defended experiments with a clear view on decision frameworks and common failure modes.
Experience building analytical capability where none existed before, turning raw data and a business question into something a commercial team uses repeatedly.
Strong data modelling instincts, thinking in reusable definitions and single sources of truth rather than standalone analyses.
The ability to move comfortably between financial, product and operational data and connect the analysis to a financial outcome.
Genuine partnership instincts, translating between analytical rigour and commercial reality so that Commercial and Product come to you early rather than after the decision.
Fluency in the Python ML stack alongside strong SQL, with the engineering hygiene to hand over code that others can run and maintain.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to make a methodological argument to people who won't check your standard errors.
A self-starter mindset that thrives in ambiguity and brings structure without waiting for permission.
Comfort using AI tools to augment analytical work, with a point of view on where they help and where they don't
Nice to have:
Experience in marketplace, telecom, travel, or subscription/usage-based businesses.
Bayesian or hierarchical modelling for sparse segments and long-tail SKUs.
Competitive price response modelling, or working with scraped competitor pricing data.
Familiarity with dbt, LightDash, or similar semantic/BI layers.
Experience designing semantic or metric layers consumed by both analytics and production systems.
Experience working in cross-functional teams spanning commercial, finance and product disciplines.

Building AI agents that can assist with any kind of enterprise work is a challenging, open-ended problem. One key piece of solving it is replicating real work environments as realistically as possible - filling them with hard tasks to solve, creating plausible input data, and defining clear rewards for completing the work the right way. We build many of these reinforcement learning (RL) environments, then drop our agents into them to evaluate or train them.
In this role, you are responsible for creating these RL environments, running AI agents inside them, and improving both the agents and the environments in the process. The results reach customers, whose feedback feeds back in - and the agent/environment improvement loop continues.
Key Responsibilities:
There are many open problems in this space. As a Member of Technical Staff, RL Environments, you will:
- Build new RL environments targeting different agentic capabilities and industry areas
- Train and evaluate agents in those environments
- Make all the pieces work together: tasks, data, tool implementations, and verifiers
- Work across modeling and product to identify gaps in agent performance, and improve both the agents and the environments
- Work with external vendors to create high-quality, expert-built RL environments, and build tools to ensure high task, data, and verifier quality
- Automate the discovery of model capability gaps, and systematically measure agent performance during evals and training
Qualifications:
You may be a good fit if:
- You have engineered agents and optimized them for specific industry use cases
- You have spent dozens of hours reviewing agent trajectories to pinpoint exact failure points and fix them with model training or harness engineering
- You obsess over measuring agentic capabilities and turning that into a repeatable process
- You have had many debates about what a good outcome from an AI agent should look like, you translated that into verifier implementations and tuned the reward designs
- You have designed and run annotation workflows to surface insights into agent performance and verify data quality
- You have built synthetic data pipelines to scale eval and training efforts
- You use agents yourself in your daily work, and have stories about how you improved your setup to 10x your productivity
- A plus: you have experience with training with RL: scaling, troubleshooting and tuning the environments
If some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply.
Working Location:
This role can be based remotely or from one of our office locations listed on the job description - there is no minimum in-office qualification requirement. We care most about hiring exceptional people regardless of locations, though please check the location listed on the posting for guidance around the core time zone or working hours alignment expected for the role.
