The Global Tax Team is looking for an experienced
Senior Tax Specialist
to anchor our direct income tax compliance and US GAAP tax reporting from India. Working closely with our US-based Senior Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager, you will own the data, calculations and documentation behind the group's quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740, and support the corporate income tax compliance cycle for our legal entities worldwide.
This is a hands-on, detail-driven role at the centre of the group's tax reporting cycle. You will work across a large multinational footprint, coordinate with external preparers and local finance teams in multiple regions, and help build a reporting process that is accurate, auditable and increasingly automated.
Key Responsibilities
US GAAP tax provision (ASC 740):
Prepare the quarterly and annual income tax provision for group legal entities — current and deferred tax, deferred tax proofs, effective tax rate reconciliation, valuation allowance assessments and return-to-provision true-ups.
Uncertain tax positions:
Support the identification, measurement and documentation of uncertain tax positions (ASC 740-10 / FIN 48), including the roll-forward and supporting memoranda.
Direct tax compliance:
Coordinate the end-to-end corporate income tax compliance cycle across our entities — data gathering, validation against the general ledger, instructing and managing external preparers, technical review of draft returns and book-to-tax reconciliations, and approval of advance/estimated tax payments.
India compliance support:
Support Indian direct tax obligations for the local entity, including corporate income tax returns, TDS/withholding compliance, tax audit requirements and related filings.
Account reconciliation:
Reconcile current and deferred income tax accounts, maintain tax payable and tax receivable schedules, and track withholding tax credits and foreign tax credits across jurisdictions.
Reporting & disclosure support:
Prepare inputs for income tax disclosures and supporting schedules, and support data collection for Pillar Two / GloBE and country-by-country reporting.
Audit & controls:
Support statutory auditors and local tax authority reviews by preparing documentation, reconciling positions and drafting responses. Maintain evidence of tax process controls in line with SOX readiness requirements.
Legislative monitoring:
Track direct tax law changes in key jurisdictions and assess their impact on the provision, the effective tax rate and compliance obligations.
Calendar management:
Maintain the global direct tax compliance calendar and provision timetable, and drive adherence to close deadlines.
Process improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to tax data collection, provision workpapers and reporting — reducing manual re-keying, strengthening data integrity and shortening the close cycle.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
Certification:
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified, or CPA / Master's in Taxation or equivalent. Strongly preferred.
Experience:
6+ years of direct tax experience in an international company or a Big 4 / large consulting firm, with a substantial portion dedicated to income tax accounting and corporate income tax compliance.
US GAAP provision:
Demonstrable hands-on experience preparing income tax provisions under
ASC 740
— current and deferred tax, effective tax rate reconciliation, valuation allowances, return-to-provision and uncertain tax positions. Experience supporting a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction provision is a strong advantage.
Direct tax compliance:
Proven track record managing corporate income tax compliance cycles, including reviewing returns and workpapers prepared by external firms and reconciling them to the financial statements.
Indian tax:
Working knowledge of Indian direct tax — corporate income tax, TDS, tax audit and related filing requirements.
International tax awareness:
Familiarity with the modern international tax landscape — BEPS, Pillar Two / global minimum tax, withholding taxes, double tax treaties and transfer pricing documentation requirements.
Technology stack:
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Workday or comparable) and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills. Experience with tax provision software (e.g. ONESOURCE Tax Provision, Longview) or data tools (Alteryx, Power BI) is highly desirable.
Controls:
Exposure to SOX or comparable internal control environments, and comfort documenting and evidencing tax process controls.
Soft skills:
Strong analytical and project management skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work to a fixed close calendar across time zones.
Work style:
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Language:
Advanced command of English, written and spoken.

📍 Manila, Philippines | Relocation required
Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines. In three years, we’ve grown to 7M+ app downloads, 2M+ monthly active users, 7,000+ partner stores, and US$310M+ raised from top-tier investors.
You get real ownership from day one, high standards, and direct communication. You’ll work alongside a team that combines deep local knowledge with experience scaling regulated financial companies from scratch.
About the role:
Salmon operates across the Philippines, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi (ADGM), and our tax position has to hold up in all three at once. You’ll own that.
You report to the Head of Group Tax and work independently across corporate income tax, withholding and indirect taxes, international taxation, structuring, and transfer pricing. Transfer pricing is a core part of the mandate, but not the whole job — you’re the Group’s go-to technical voice on tax, full stop.
This is a hands-on seat for someone who can take a complex tax question, work it through alone, and land on a position the business can act on. You’ll work directly with the Head of Group Tax on live, cross-border problems that shape how Salmon expands — not theoretical tax exercises — with real autonomy and a direct line to the decisions your work informs, across finance, product, and tech.
What you’ll do:
- Research and resolve complex tax questions independently, and translate them into clear positions finance, product, tech, and commercial teams can act on.
- Own tax compliance across corporate income tax, withholding, and indirect taxes — partnering with local teams and external advisors to hit deadlines and document positions properly.
- Evaluate tax implications of new-market expansion, holding structure and capital optimization, profit repatriation, and any future M&A.
- Advise on permanent establishment risk, withholding taxes, indirect tax exposure, and treaty applications, including RMC No. 5-2024 on services performed by non-residents.
- Coordinate with external consultants to build a global transfer pricing framework covering intercompany service agreements, IP/tech licensing, and financial transactions.
- Lead preparation of Local Files, Master Files, and Country-by-Country Reporting, and keep them audit-ready.
- Manage benchmarking studies run by external consultants and confirm they’re applied correctly and kept current.
- Partner with Tech and Product on the tax implications of new launches and geographic expansion.
- Lead technically during BIR or other tax authority audits, including transfer pricing, and build the defense file.
- Monitor intercompany transactions monthly and quarterly against transfer pricing policy, and confirm they’re properly invoiced and documented.
What you’ll own:
- The Group’s technical tax position across three jurisdictions — nothing routes around you on tax.
- Transfer pricing documentation and defense, end to end.
- Tax input on every new market, structure, or product decision that touches tax.
- The BIR audit relationship and defense when it comes.
What makes you a strong fit:
- 6–10 years of broad tax experience spanning corporate income tax, international tax, structuring, and transfer pricing, with a track record of owning complex matters end to end.
- Big 4 tax practice at Manager level, or in-house tax at a fintech, is the ideal path here.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Law; a professional certification is a strong plus.
- Deep working knowledge of OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and BEPS 2.0, plus BIR and IRAS regulations.
- Can turn dense tax concepts into a straight answer a non-tax stakeholder can act on.
- Comfortable owning ambiguous, competing priorities with minimal oversight.
- Thrives founder-led and high-pressure, and builds process from scratch rather than waiting for one to exist.
What we offer:
Ownership and flexibility
- Stock option plan — four-year vesting with a 25% cliff after the first year
- Hybrid-first work environment
- Company-provided tools and equipment
- Office in Bonifacio Global City, Manila — a modern, walkable district at the centre of the Philippines’ growing tech scene
Health and time off
- Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits
- Access to an internal mental health support specialist
- 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days
- 105 days of paid maternity leave and up to 14 days of paid paternity leave for employees relocating to Manila
Relocation and family support
- Relocation support for you and your family — including flights, two weeks of accommodation, visas, paperwork, and logistics
- Reimbursement of eligible pet relocation expenses
- USD 2,500 per year for flights home
- Baby and family stipends for employees relocating to Manila: USD 1,000 per month for each child under two and USD 500 per month for each child aged two to 18
Growth and team experience
- Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications
- Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person
- Regular team offsites, sports activities, and team events
- High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia

Location: Espoo
Workplace: Hybrid
Role highlights:
- Senior Manager, Total Reward
- Location: Espoo, Finland
- Department: People
- Reports to: VP, People
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid
Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
As Senior Manager, Total Rewards, you'll build the Total Rewards function at ICEYE from the ground up. Today we don't have a mature Total Rewards infrastructure, and we need someone who has done this before and knows how to take an organization from fragmented compensation and benefits practices to a clear, scalable, data-driven framework.
You will own the strategy, design, and implementation of Total Rewards across our global workforce in Finland, Europe, the US, and Asia-Pacific. Reporting to the VP, People, you'll be a strategic partner to executive leadership, People Business Partners, Finance, and business leaders, bringing structure and discipline to how we make reward decisions while keeping the employee experience at the center.
This is a builder role. You'll be comfortable in an environment where the answer isn't yet documented and the process doesn't yet exist, and the expectation is to figure it out, build it, and make it work.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.
ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build the global Total Rewards framework: Define and implement ICEYE's Total Rewards philosophy, principles, governance, and operating model, including decision rights, so rewards are managed consistently across countries and employee populations.
- Lead and develop the Total Rewards team: Manage, coach, and develop the Rewards Specialist reporting to you, setting clear priorities, building expertise, and fostering a high-performing team. Balance hands-on delivery with effective delegation and capability building as the Total Rewards function evolves and scales.
- Build compensation infrastructure: Establish global salary benchmarking and market-pricing methodology, salary ranges and structures across relevant geographies, compa-ratio and market-positioning analysis, internal and pay equity analysis, and guidelines for new-hire pay, promotions, lateral moves, and out-of-cycle adjustments.
- Design and run compensation cycles: Build and lead scalable global merit, promotion, and equity refresh cycles, including budgeting, scenario modelling, manager guidance, and communication, in partnership with People Business Partners, Finance, and leadership.
- Create job architecture and career structures: Partner with People Operations and People Business Partners to build a practical global job architecture covering job families, career levels, leveling criteria, and role scope, with enough structure for consistency and without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Own equity and long-term incentives: Develop and govern ICEYE's global equity approach, including eligibility, grants and refreshes, pool planning, and executive and senior leadership equity, working with Finance, Legal, executive leadership, and the Board/Remuneration Committee while respecting country-specific constraints.
- Design variable compensation and sales incentives: Work with Commercial, Sales Operations, Finance, and business leaders to build and govern sales incentive plans, commission structures, and bonus frameworks, balancing commercial outcomes with simplicity, transparency, and financial discipline.
- Build the benefits strategy: Develop a coherent global benefits philosophy with local relevance. In Finland this includes oversight of occupational healthcare, insurance, pension arrangements, flexible benefits, ePassi, bike benefits, and other local programs, plus principles to harmonize benefits across our international locations.
- Establish pay transparency and pay equity: Build the processes, data, and governance to prepare ICEYE for the EU Pay Transparency Directive, Finnish equal-pay requirements, and other relevant regulations, turning requirements into practical processes rather than only managing compliance.
- Advise executives and the Board: Act as a trusted Total Rewards advisor to the VP People, executive leadership, and the Board/Remuneration Committee, with clear, data-driven recommendations on executive compensation, market positioning, equity allocation, incentives, budgets, and reward strategy.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
MUST HAVES
- You have built this before: you have personally built or materially transformed a Total Rewards function, taking an environment with incomplete or inconsistent processes, data, structures, and governance and making it scalable
- 8+ years of progressive experience in HR/People, with significant specialization in Total Rewards
- 3+ years in a senior Total Rewards leadership or ownership role
- Experience in a fast-growing, international technology, aerospace, engineering, deep-tech, or similarly complex organization, including through significant growth and organizational change
- Experience designing and operating compensation and benefits programs across multiple countries, particularly Europe and the US, with an understanding of how global frameworks differ from local market requirements
- Strong understanding of Finnish employment, benefits, taxation, and compensation practices
- Deep technical Total Rewards expertise: market benchmarking and survey data, salary structures and ranges, job architecture and leveling, compa-ratio and market positioning, pay equity analysis, equity and LTI, annual compensation cycles, variable compensation and sales incentives, benefits strategy, compensation modelling and analytics, and pay transparency
- Builder mentality: comfortable starting with ambiguity and without an existing playbook, mature HRIS configuration, or perfectly clean data; able to set a practical roadmap and be pragmatic about where structure is needed
- Executive presence and commercial acumen: able to translate complex reward topics into clear business decisions, challenge assumptions, model scenarios, and make recommendations to senior leadership and the Board
- A human-centric approach: you think about how reward decisions are experienced by employees and managers, and you build clarity and trust rather than more process
- Professional fluency in English
NICE TO HAVES
- Finnish language skills
- Familiarity with Finnish collective agreements/TES environments
- Experience with leading market data providers such as Radford, Mercer, WTW, or similar
- Experience navigating international equity and compensation considerations
