Responsibilities:
— Design, maintain, and evolve backend services and APIs connecting Phantom Cash to blockchains.
— Blend systems thinking with product pragmatism and passion for crypto.
— Balance reliability, quality, and speed in client-server architecture and blockchain protocols.
— Communicate clearly across teams, document rigorously, and mentor to elevate engineering standards.
Qualifications:
— Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
— Pragmatic engineering mindset focused on results and user impact.
— Proactive and outcome-oriented, pushing features to completion without waiting for perfect specs.
— Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
— Experience with Node.js and NestJS at scale; event-driven design including queues, retries, idempotency.
— Knowledge of REST API architecture: versioning, pagination, error models, authentication, rate-limiting.
— Full-stack awareness including trade-offs of state management and latency budgets.
— Fundamentals of distributed systems: concurrency, ordering, retries, data consistency.
— Nice to have: Kubernetes, AWS operations, CI/CD, observability, on-call ownership.
— Deep interest in crypto, keeping up with ecosystem changes, wallets, protocols, and security norms.
— Previous hands-on experience in crypto or fintech (exchanges, wallets, payment rails, ledgers).
— Understanding of smart contracts and protocol interactions between on-chain programs and off-chain services.
— Blockchain integration experience, preferably Solana, EVM acceptable.

The Role
KIRA is building an AI Finance Superapp for Southeast Asia covering payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading. These products handle real money, requiring reliability, regulatory compliance, and integration with third-party financial rails.
The Technical Product Lead owns a product vertical end-to-end, from strategy and outcomes through technical design, delivery, and launch. AI is used where it genuinely improves outcomes, balanced with deterministic systems for reliability, auditability, and trust.
What You'll Own
— Own a product vertical end-to-end including strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery.
— Shape technical design with engineering across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability.
— Drive trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience.
— Build regulatory requirements into the product including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing.
— Apply AI with clear evaluation, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling.
— Ship products managing external dependencies like regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners.
— Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around product decisions and launch requirements.
What We're Looking For
— 5+ years of product management experience owning complex technical products from strategy through production.
— Strong technical foundation in system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems.
— Experience working closely with engineers, able to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs.
— Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or other regulated, high-consequence product domains.
— Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints.
— Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability, and understanding when AI should not be used.
