The Global Tax Team is looking for an experienced
Senior Tax Specialist
to anchor our direct income tax compliance and US GAAP tax reporting from India. Working closely with our US-based Senior Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager, you will own the data, calculations and documentation behind the group's quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740, and support the corporate income tax compliance cycle for our legal entities worldwide.
This is a hands-on, detail-driven role at the centre of the group's tax reporting cycle. You will work across a large multinational footprint, coordinate with external preparers and local finance teams in multiple regions, and help build a reporting process that is accurate, auditable and increasingly automated.
Key Responsibilities
US GAAP tax provision (ASC 740):
Prepare the quarterly and annual income tax provision for group legal entities — current and deferred tax, deferred tax proofs, effective tax rate reconciliation, valuation allowance assessments and return-to-provision true-ups.
Uncertain tax positions:
Support the identification, measurement and documentation of uncertain tax positions (ASC 740-10 / FIN 48), including the roll-forward and supporting memoranda.
Direct tax compliance:
Coordinate the end-to-end corporate income tax compliance cycle across our entities — data gathering, validation against the general ledger, instructing and managing external preparers, technical review of draft returns and book-to-tax reconciliations, and approval of advance/estimated tax payments.
India compliance support:
Support Indian direct tax obligations for the local entity, including corporate income tax returns, TDS/withholding compliance, tax audit requirements and related filings.
Account reconciliation:
Reconcile current and deferred income tax accounts, maintain tax payable and tax receivable schedules, and track withholding tax credits and foreign tax credits across jurisdictions.
Reporting & disclosure support:
Prepare inputs for income tax disclosures and supporting schedules, and support data collection for Pillar Two / GloBE and country-by-country reporting.
Audit & controls:
Support statutory auditors and local tax authority reviews by preparing documentation, reconciling positions and drafting responses. Maintain evidence of tax process controls in line with SOX readiness requirements.
Legislative monitoring:
Track direct tax law changes in key jurisdictions and assess their impact on the provision, the effective tax rate and compliance obligations.
Calendar management:
Maintain the global direct tax compliance calendar and provision timetable, and drive adherence to close deadlines.
Process improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to tax data collection, provision workpapers and reporting — reducing manual re-keying, strengthening data integrity and shortening the close cycle.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
Certification:
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified, or CPA / Master's in Taxation or equivalent. Strongly preferred.
Experience:
6+ years of direct tax experience in an international company or a Big 4 / large consulting firm, with a substantial portion dedicated to income tax accounting and corporate income tax compliance.
US GAAP provision:
Demonstrable hands-on experience preparing income tax provisions under
ASC 740
— current and deferred tax, effective tax rate reconciliation, valuation allowances, return-to-provision and uncertain tax positions. Experience supporting a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction provision is a strong advantage.
Direct tax compliance:
Proven track record managing corporate income tax compliance cycles, including reviewing returns and workpapers prepared by external firms and reconciling them to the financial statements.
Indian tax:
Working knowledge of Indian direct tax — corporate income tax, TDS, tax audit and related filing requirements.
International tax awareness:
Familiarity with the modern international tax landscape — BEPS, Pillar Two / global minimum tax, withholding taxes, double tax treaties and transfer pricing documentation requirements.
Technology stack:
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Workday or comparable) and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills. Experience with tax provision software (e.g. ONESOURCE Tax Provision, Longview) or data tools (Alteryx, Power BI) is highly desirable.
Controls:
Exposure to SOX or comparable internal control environments, and comfort documenting and evidencing tax process controls.
Soft skills:
Strong analytical and project management skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work to a fixed close calendar across time zones.
Work style:
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Language:
Advanced command of English, written and spoken.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Partner Sales Director for the Indian and ASEAN market. This is a high-energy, relationship-driven professional who can accelerate revenue by driving partner-sourced and partner-influenced sales across the region.
This is a quota-carrying role responsible for working hand-in-hand with our field sales teams and strategic partners, including hyperscalers, system integrators (SIs), channel partners, and ISV/OEM partners, to identify, influence, and close new opportunities. You’ll also play a key role in expanding and deepening our partnerships (especially regional SIs), helping source new opportunities, develop joint solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong sales instincts, partnership acumen, and executive presence. We are looking for someone who can think strategically while executing rigorously to deliver incremental revenue and pipeline growth.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own and deliver against a regional revenue quota for partner-sourced and partner-influenced bookings.
- Collaborate closely with the India & ASEAN field sales teams to integrate partners into key account strategies and deal cycles.
- Build and execute strong joint sales motions with hyperscalers, SIs, ISVs, OEMs, and channel partners to expand ClickHouse’s reach and accelerate pipeline.
- Serve as the primary partner sales interface for India and ASEAN, ensuring alignment between regional sellers, partners’ field teams, and global partner programs.
- Develop and execute joint account plans, campaigns, and demand-generation activities with priority partners.
- Drive joint forecasting, pipeline visibility, and reporting to ensure partner contributions are tracked and recognized.
- Identify, onboard, and develop strategic system integrator (SI) partnerships that can both source new opportunities and deliver successful implementations.
- Define joint GTM plays, delivery frameworks, and enablement paths to ensure scalable, repeatable customer success.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive SI delivery readiness and certification.
- Work closely with the global and regional Partner, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment of partner strategy, programs, and field execution.
- Collaborate with Product and Solutions Engineering to support partner-led projects, and proof-of-concepts.
- Serve as the voice of the ASEAN/India partner ecosystem, providing feedback and insights to shape ClickHouse’s broader partner strategy.
- Maintain accurate partner pipeline data, revenue forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key partners and internal stakeholders.
- Continuously refine partner engagement models based on data-driven insights and field feedback.
WHO YOU ARE
- Experienced Sales & Partnerships Professional: 10+ years in enterprise software sales, channel sales, or strategic alliances; ideally in cloud, data, or analytics space.
- Quota-Carrying Performer: Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets through partner ecosystems.
- Partner-Savvy: Deep understanding of hyperscaler (AWS, GCP, Azure), SI, and channel partner models — including co-sell, marketplace, and resale motions.
- Strategic + Tactical Operator: Can develop GTM strategy and also roll up sleeves to drive execution with field and partner teams.
- Strong Communicator & Influencer: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; comfortable engaging both internally and externally at executive levels.
- Relationship Builder: Skilled at navigating complex partner organizations, aligning incentives, and building long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Self-Starter with Grit: Operates autonomously, thrives in high-growth environments, and drives outcomes without heavy structure.

Our platform, Ubuntu, is very widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. Our customers include the world's leading public cloud and silicon providers, and industry leaders in many sectors. The company is a pioneer of global distributed collaboration, with 1200+ colleagues in 75+ countries and very few office-based roles. Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution.
The company is founder led, profitable and growing.
We are hiring
2025 and 2026 Graduate Software Engineers
into engineering teams around the world. As a global platform company we offer a wide range of software engineering challenges, in both open source products and commercial business systems. We have teams that work in a variety of languages, typically Python, Golang, Rust, C/C++, JavaScript and of course... Bash. We work from the very lowest levels of the Linux system - BIOS and boot loaders, firmware, kernel and drivers, all the way up to desktop applications and containers. We work on tiny devices like the Raspberry Pi and new RISC-V boards, all the way up to supercomputers, clouds and Kubernetes clusters. We work on compilers and toolchains, and we work on security, cryptography, performance and documentation. Some of our teams focus on packaging thousands of pieces of software, others focus on deep contributions to a single body of code.
If you are excited about the potential that open source has for humanity and the enterprise, you have outstanding results in your academic career, and you are excited to contribute to the open source stack, this is the best way to apply to Canonical. We will work with you to identify teams and projects that would be interesting and a good fit for your skills and motivations. The process is highly competitive, it will require effort and excellence to succeed if you apply here.
Most of our engineering teams work from home. We try to align a single team in a single time zone - EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), APAC (Asia Pacific and Indian Ocean), and AMER (North, South and Central Americas). Even though you work from home, we try to ensure you always have colleagues alongside to coach and mentor you, and for the companionship of shared problem solving and pair programming. Larger projects have multiple teams and might span the globe. We work with the open source community and specialize in building teams that work well in the 'fishbowl' of open source engineering. This is full time work, five days a week, often solving hard problems with significant responsibility. We don't generally work weekends and nights and we do enjoy good holidays but we also expect productive and intense engagement Monday to Friday.
We bring all our engineering teams together in person twice a year for a deep 'sprint' with other teams to stimulate discussion and enable a wide range of career development paths. This is a fantastic way to demonstrate and develop your skill in software, learn about a wide range of technologies, make a meaningful impact to open source, and see some very interesting new cities that you might never otherwise get to visit.
If you find the open source stack amazing, and you have been a consistent high-performing student in your school and university, then this will be a challenging and exciting start to your career.
Location:
This is a Globally remote role.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
