Nice to Haves - Experience building VS Code extensions, web-based IDEs, query editors (Monaco), or developer tools. - Hands-on experience with ClickHouse or columnar real-time databases. PERKS - Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries. - Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare. - Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options. - Time off - Flexible time off in the US, generous entitlement in other countries. - A USD$500 Home office setup if you’re a remote employee. - Global Gatherings – We believe in the power of in-person connection and offer opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide offsites. Location: San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role A connected Claude is the difference between a general-purpose chatbot and a real coworker. We're building the connected enterprise on three fronts: zero-touch activation, a thriving connector ecosystem, and an enterprise control plane that lets organizations adopt with confidence. We own the path from discovering a connector to using it every day: default and suggested connectors, one-click setup, connector requests, and the identity and admin pieces that remove setup friction for a whole organization at once. You'll be a technical leader who owns activation end to end, from the moment someone sees a connector to their first successful use of it. You'll also help to shape the foundations that help the connector ecosystem grow, and the governance controls that make it safe at enterprise scale. You'll partner closely with product, design and data science, and carry real ownership over what we ship next. What you'll do Own connector activation end to end: measure the funnel from discovery to first use to habit, find the biggest drop-offs, and fix them Build and run experiments on default connectors, in-product suggestions, connector requests and onboarding flows Make setup close to zero-touch, building on open standards like Cross App Access (XAA) and the MCP authorization spec so one approval can turn a connector on for everyone Improve the connectors people reach for most, like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, so the first experience works and keeps working Lay platform foundations for the connector ecosystem: reusable building blocks that make every new connector easier to launch, discover and activate Build out the enterprise control plane: admin controls and governance (domain restrictions, labels, permissions) that help security teams say yes faster instead of blocking rollout Partner with product, design, data science and sales to turn usage data and customer feedback into priorities Set technical direction and standards for the team, mentor other engineers, and lead with influence rather than authority Minimum Qualifications Have shipped growth or activation work: onboarding flows, funnels, experimentation, and measuring what actually moves usage Are comfortable with authorization and identity (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SSO), enough to make setup flows simple without cutting corners Have built on large platform APIs (Microsoft Graph, Google Workspace or similar) and can debug failures on both sides of the boundary Have built platform or ecosystem surfaces that other teams or developers rely on, and care about durable, well-designed APIs Understand what enterprise admins and security teams need from policy, permissions and governance at scale Use data and user research to decide what to build, and can explain the tradeoffs to product and design partners Drive cross-team and cross-company alignment to ship, with influence over authority Preferred Qualifications Have 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with 2+ years at a Staff or equivalent technical leadership level Contributed to or implemented emerging auth standards (IETF OAuth drafts, MCP authorization) Experience with data governance or information protection (sensitivity labels, DLP) Built admin consoles or policy engines for multi-tenant SaaS Run growth experiments on activation funnels Built AI products or agent tool integrations (MCP) Helped grow a developer or partner ecosystem around a platform The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $405,000 — $485,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices. Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this. We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team. Your safety matters to us. To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. We’re a fast-growing Series A startup backed by $34M in funding and driven by a team that moves fast, stays curious, and cares about high-quality execution. About the Role We are looking for a technical specialist who owns the performance of the Improvado website end to end: how it is found (SEO and GEO), how fast and healthy it is, and how well it converts visitors into pipeline. This is an analytics-driven, hands-on role for someone who is as comfortable in Google Search Console, GA4, and the browser dev tools as in a keyword report. Because the website is our main product-facing marketing surface, you will also shape how the product is presented on it. Nice to have B2B SaaS or marketing technology background. Experience with Webflow or a similar CMS, plus basic HTML/CSS and JavaScript. SQL or advanced spreadsheet skills; experience with AI-assisted or automated workflows. Experience with CRO and experimentation platforms. Exposure to product marketing, positioning, or messaging. You are Analytical, curious, and driven by measurable outcomes. Self-directed and comfortable owning a channel without heavy supervision. A clear communicator across time zones. Location: San Francisco; Remote (United States); Seattle; New York City Perplexity serves hundreds of millions of queries a month. Every answer, every Perplexity Computer task, and every enterprise deployment runs on production infrastructure owned by the Cloud Infrastructure team: a fleet of Kubernetes clusters across a multi-account AWS estate, private networks that reach hyperscalers and the neoclouds serving our models, and the storage underneath our user data and agentic workloads. We're looking for SREs who treat reliability as a software problem. You'll own compute, networking, and storage at scale and keep production stable while everything built on top of it is changing fast. RESPONSIBILITIES - Own production at scale. Run the compute, networking, and storage foundation behind Perplexity's consumer, Computer, API, and enterprise products, and own its availability, latency, and cost. - Run our Kubernetes fleet. Operate and upgrade the EKS clusters that host web services, search, datastores, and secure sandboxes. Tune scheduling, autoscaling, node lifecycle, DNS, and service networking so clusters stay healthy under bursty, fast-growing load. - Engineer the network. Design and operate VPC architectures, Transit Gateway and PrivateLink connectivity, load balancing, DNS, and egress across accounts, regions, and cloud providers. - Keep data durable and fast. Own the storage layer (EBS, S3, DynamoDB, and the managed databases and caches our services depend on), including performance, durability, backups, and restores that have actually been tested. - Manage everything as code. Run infrastructure through Terraform and CI/CD. Build reusable modules and guardrails, and make every change reviewable, repeatable, and safe to roll back. - Prepare for failures. Define SLOs, build alerts that someone can act on, design for zone and regional failure, and run game days and disaster-recovery exercises that prove recovery works. - Lead incident response. Be on the critical path when things break. Drive incidents to resolution, write blameless postmortems, and land the fixes so the same failure never pages anyone twice. - Scale ahead of demand. Own capacity planning, quotas, reservations, and cost efficiency so product launches and traffic spikes never wait on infrastructure. - Automate away the toil. Build tooling, increasingly agent-driven, that turns provisioning, upgrades, and remediation into self-serve, hands-off workflows for every engineering team. QUALIFICATIONS We expect you to have real depth in most of these: - Deep AWS expertise. You know VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, ELB, Route 53, S3, EBS, etc. well past the console, including their limits, failure modes, and the bill that comes with them. - Production Kubernetes at scale: cluster upgrades, CNI, CoreDNS, autoscalers like Karpenter, and debugging a misbehaving node at 3 a.m. Writing Helm charts alone doesn't count. - Terraform mastery. You've designed module structures, managed state across many accounts, and run large refactors and imports without taking production down. - Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, load balancing, routing). - You write real code in Python, Go, or Rust for automation, tooling, and controllers, and you'd rather automate a runbook than follow it. - Fluency with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana, and the judgment to turn metrics, logs, and traces into SLOs and alerts that matter. - A track record of leading production incidents and turning root-cause analysis into durable fixes. - You own problems end-to-end and do well when the path forward isn't laid out for you. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE WE VALUE - Multi-region active-active or failover architectures, and disaster-recovery programs with real recovery targets. - Proxies, service meshes, and kernel-level networking: Envoy, Istio, Cilium, or eBPF. - GitOps and progressive delivery: Argo CD, Flux, or similar. - Enterprise and compliance environments: single-tenant or BYOC deployments, KMS/BYOK, SOC 2 or similar controls. - Running stateful systems in production: Postgres, Redis, or search engines like Vespa or Elasticsearch. - Multi-cloud or neocloud operations (GCP, CoreWeave, or similar). - FinOps: cost attribution, Savings Plans and reservations, and making infrastructure cheaper without making it fragile.
