WHAT YOU WILL BRING ALONG
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments
- Exposure to working directly with AI/ML technologies

Guiding new accounts through onboarding, overseeing amazing order experiences, and working closely with the Account Management team to ensure seamless handovers and client retention.
Utilising Salesforce, Google Sheets, Looker report, and present on sales performance, pipeline, and growth strategies.
Assisting with ad hoc tasks that fall under DfW's scope, such as attending trade events, supporting marketing activations, providing data reports, and chasing overdue client invoices.
Being proactive in helping to improve sales processes and tools, and shortening the sales cycle.
What You'll Need to Thrive
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English are a must.
3+ years of B2B sales experience, with a demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth through a consultative and data-driven approach.
Structured and analytical mindset, able to manage long, multi-stakeholder corporate negotiations through to close and to prioritise a pipeline.
Resilient and comfortable handling objections and rejection - cold outreach is a core part of this role.
Skilled at navigating multi-stakeholder corporate sales, engaging procurement, legal, HR, and finance contacts alongside the primary decision maker.
Strong commercial curiosity - genuinely interested in understanding a client's business in order to tailor solutions
Strong cross-team collaborator, able to work effectively with Account Management, Marketing, Product, and the wider DfW EU team to get deals done.
Based in Milan (or willing to relocate).
Highly proficient using Salesforce and Google Sheets (excel)

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative when working autonomously.
Bachelor's degree preferred.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
How would you like to shape the product experience behind a portfolio of apps already generating hundreds of millions in ARR, growing 100% year over year, in one of the world’s largest categories that still remains wide open? You’ll lead product development for Welltech’s next app, with real cross-functional authority to take a defined concept and turn it into a product millions of people use. It will be built on the same new, shared tech stack that powers YogaGo, Muscle Booster, and WalkFit, so it can lean on proven foundational capabilities (onboarding, personalization, content discovery, and more) and experiment and innovate faster than it could alone.
Reporting to the Head of Product, you will own the new app’s end-to-end in-app experience, from onboarding and activation to personalization and content discovery. As the core Product counterpart to the Head of Growth, you’ll work as one team to turn growth opportunities into product initiatives and scale the app into a top market player. You’ll translate the defined vision into impactful product decisions, balancing breakthrough innovation with fast, iterative feature development to deliver value to millions of users. You’ll also own the unit economics behind that growth, making sure every improvement in activation and retention translates into sustainable, profitable revenue.
Our culture encourages collaboration, transparency, passion, innovation, and having fun through continuous self-improvement, learning, and actively sharing feedback to constantly improve performance. You will move fast and are used to driving yourself and your teams in a quickly changing environment. You will challenge the norms and address innovation at pace and at scale. You will be comfortable with ambiguity, prototyping your own ideas (AI-assisted where it helps) before handing them to engineering to build for real, and you’ll address challenges in a systematic, proactive manner to find solutions that increase customer value and happiness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the moment that matters most. Drive the onboarding and activation experience of the new app. You’re not inheriting legacy decisions; you’re making them.
- Turn the concept into a product. Translate the defined app vision into a clear roadmap and MVP scope, working closely with the Head of Product, and make the day-to-day trade-offs between speed and quality to get it launched.
- Own the unit economics. Track and improve the app’s unit economics (ARPU, LTV, CAC, and payback period), run monetization experiments, and work with Growth on paywall, pricing, and packaging decisions, so you always know whether growth is sustainable and profitable, not just fast.
- Build on what already works. Make the most of the shared capabilities, data, and learnings from across Welltech’s apps.
- Turn hunches into proof. Design and run experiments focused on activation. You’ll always know what’s actually working, not just what feels right.
- Reimagine how content gets discovered. Define modular, quick-access experiences that go beyond long-form-only browsing and meet users where they are, not where the content library assumes they’ll be.
- Make big ideas ship. Partner day-to-day with engineering, design, data, and marketing to turn priorities into delivered features, keeping everyone aligned on goals and metrics.
- Prototype, build, and ship faster. Build working prototypes yourself, using AI tools and agents where they help, to test ideas before engineering invests in full implementation. You’ll also have the opportunity to build selected new features directly into the app code using AI agents, working within the existing tech stack and development practices. Engineers will review and approve code changes, merges, and subsequent release steps to ensure quality and maintainability.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Direct-to-consumer, mobile-first track record: a proven history of building and scaling these products, ideally somewhere that lived and died by retention, not just downloads
- Performance marketing partnership: real experience working alongside it. You understand what it’s brilliant at, and exactly where product has to pick up the slack
- Proven impact: a track record of shipping features that measurably moved activation, engagement, or retention, not just shipped, but proven
- Unit economics and monetization: a solid understanding of subscription unit economics (ARPU, LTV, CAC, payback period, and paywall conversion), and experience using them to shape product decisions and judge whether growth is sustainable and profitable
- Data fluency: experience with SQL and a product analytics tool such as Amplitude or Mixpanel to build funnels, analyze cohorts, and measure the impact of product changes
- Communication and stakeholder instincts: you can bring marketing and engineering into the same room and actually get alignment
- AI fluency: comfortable enough with AI tools to turn a rough idea into something tangible on your own. You don’t need to wait for engineering to know if a concept has legs
- Scale-up or startup background: forged in environments where you’re energized by speed, experimentation, and metrics, not slowed down by them

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Team
The Semantic Layer team owns the systems that turn dbt models into trusted, reusable business metrics. At the heart of this is
MetricFlow
— the open-source semantic engine that powers the dbt Semantic Layer. MetricFlow lets data teams define metrics once in code and consume them consistently across BI tools, notebooks, AI agents, and downstream applications.
This team is the steward of MetricFlow as an open-source project: shipping releases, reviewing community contributions, evolving the query compiler, and ensuring it integrates cleanly with the broader dbt ecosystem. You'll work at the intersection of language design, query compilation, and distributed data execution — solving problems that directly shape how thousands of organizations measure their business.
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Semantic Layer team in Bangalore. You'll be a core contributor to MetricFlow — designing features, optimizing query generation, hardening the open-source codebase, and partnering with the community of contributors and adopters around it. This is a high-ownership role: you'll write production code, drive technical decisions, and help shape the long-term architecture of one of the most important projects in the modern data stack.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain core features of MetricFlow, including metric definitions, query compilation, dimensional modeling, and SQL generation across multiple data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, and others).
Own MetricFlow as an open-source project — triage issues, review external pull requests, manage releases, and engage the community on GitHub and in Slack.
Collaborate with engineers across dbt Cloud, dbt Core, and the Semantic Layer service to ensure MetricFlow integrates seamlessly with the rest of the dbt ecosystem.
Improve performance, reliability, and observability of metric query execution at scale.
Partner with product, design, and developer-relations teammates to translate customer and community feedback into shipped improvements.
Write clear technical documentation, RFCs, and design docs that raise the bar for how the team thinks and ships.
Mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance.
Skills We're Looking For
Strong professional software engineering experience, with a strong track record of shipping production systems.
Deep proficiency in
Python
, including modern typing, testing practices, and packaging.
Strong SQL fundamentals and a working understanding of how analytical query engines and data warehouses execute queries.
Experience designing systems that involve parsing, compilation, or transformation — for example: query planners, DSL compilers, type systems, or rule-based engines.
Solid grasp of software design principles: clean APIs, modularity, testability, and backwards compatibility.
Excellent written and verbal communication — you can explain complex tradeoffs clearly to engineers, PMs, and external community members.
Experience collaborating in a distributed, asynchronous team environment.
Bonus Skills (Optional)
Prior experience contributing to or maintaining a popular open-source project.
Familiarity with dbt, MetricFlow, LookML, Cube, or other semantic-layer technologies.
Background in data warehousing internals, query optimization, or analytical SQL dialects.
Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and release engineering for Python libraries.
Exposure to building developer-facing APIs, SDKs, or CLIs.

About The Role
Our Business Intelligence department owns the trusted data warehouse and the analytics every department relies on.
We build and maintain the models and reports behind management reporting and daily decision-making, with a strong focus on getting the numbers right and on time.
We're hiring a hands-on, SQL-strong data engineer to drive development work forward in our GCP + dbt + Power BI stack.

Develop and look after reliable, scalable data models, transformations and pipelines across BigQuery and dbt.
Bring together data from a range of different systems — databases, APIs, file feeds and external providers.
Translate reporting needs into accurate, well-tested and documented datasets.
Put validation, checks and monitoring in place so data problems are spotted before they spread.

Confident with version control and CI/CD workflows, GitLab a plus.
Background working with brokerage, banking, asset-management, payments or fintech data.
We Offer
Competitive salary that reflects your experience and the value you bring.
Flexibility that fits your life — work from home, from our office, or a mix of both. You decide what works best.
Flexible benefits package — choose the options that suit your life, not a one-size-fits-all bundle.
A genuinely good place to work — an informal, collaborative culture where ideas are heard and bureaucracy stays out of your way.
Continuous learning — ongoing training, education programs, and the support to deepen your expertise in a fast-moving industry.
Connection beyond your desk — events that bring our teams together to network and celebrate.
Global exposure — work side by side with talented colleagues from all over the world, across a business serving clients in 100+ countries.
