About You
You own the Subscriptions roadmap. Your core job runs end to end: research and discovery, prioritization, pushing work into development, delivery, and then educating the sales team and preparing the documentation that ships with each release.
That means staying close to the publishers who run subscription businesses on Xsolla and to their subscribers. You find what moves retention and revenue, decide what gets built and in what order, and drive it from idea through delivery and adoption.
Subscriptions depend on many products across Xsolla. You'll work with a tech lead and engineers, and coordinate across Payments, Anti-fraud, Auth, Catalog, Shop Builder, LiveOps, Analytics, and others.
What we're building
Xsolla Subscriptions is a subscription monetization engine for games that covers the full lifecycle. Publishers use it to power battle passes, premium memberships, season passes, and other recurring mechanics — creating plans, running trials, and handling renewals, failed payments, and cancellations. Track subscribers, churn, and revenue in one place. As merchant of record, Xsolla also covers global recurring payments, tax, refunds, and chargebacks.
The team owns that whole surface: plans and pricing, renewals and retry logic, trials and grace periods, churn and recovery, and the subscriber and publisher experience.
About Us
Xsolla is a global commerce company with robust tools and services to help developers solve the inherent challenges of the video game industry. From indie to AAA, companies partner with Xsolla to help them fund, distribute, market, and monetize their games. Grounded in the belief in the future of video games, Xsolla is resolute in the mission to bring opportunities together, and continually make new resources available to creators. Headquartered and incorporated in Los Angeles, California, Xsolla operates as the merchant of record and has helped over 1,500+ game developers to reach more players and grow their businesses around the world. With more paths to profits and ways to win, developers have all the things needed to enjoy the game.
For more information, visit xsolla.com.
Responsibilities
Research and discovery.
Study competitors, interview publishers and partners to uncover their needs, and dig into subscriber and payment data to find what's worth building.
Collect requirements and design features.
Turn findings into clear requirements and feature designs.
Own the roadmap.
Decide what gets built, in what order, and why. Maintain a clear rationale the team and stakeholders can rely on.
Deliver and coordinate.
Drive features to production and keep the cross-product dependencies moving.
Post-delivery support.
Support marketing materials preparation, train the sales team, and prepare integration-team materials and public documentation.
Requirements
4+ years in product, with real time on subscription, billing, or payments products.
A solid understanding of subscription economics and lifecycle, ideally in games — battle passes, premium memberships, season passes, and others.
Comfort with billing mechanics: renewals, proration, dunning and retry, grace periods, refunds, chargebacks, and tax.
A track record of taking features from research to shipped, and making prioritization calls without full information.
Systems thinking: you understand how a pricing or billing decision compounds across many publishers and their subscribers.
Daily use of AI tools is assumed and expected. It is a significant plus if you have a strategic vision for applying machine learning to core subscription challenges—such as churn prediction, retry timing, and dynamic pricing—or possess hands-on experience in the field.
Why this team
Subscriptions are one of the fastest-growing forms of monetization in games — predictable revenue, low overhead, strong loyalty — and now outpace one-off and in-game purchases in growth. Small gains in recovery or conversion have a huge impact across thousands of publishers. You'll own a high-impact product with direct visibility to engineering and business leadership.
Benefits
We are passionate about fostering a supportive environment for our team, so we prioritize the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our employees through a comprehensive Benefits Program. This includes unlimited Flexible Time Off and a personalized career roadmap for each employee. By investing in professional development through training and educational opportunities, we ensure that our team thrives both personally and professionally. The duties and responsibilities of this position may evolve over time to support the organization’s goals and individual growth. This job description is intended to outline the general nature and level of work being performed and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required.

Digital Product Director — IDEO London
Digital Product Director
In a Nutshell
IDEO London is looking for a Digital Product Director to help shape what it means to design AI-driven products that people actually trust. This is a senior role for someone who thinks of AI as a design material — not a feature set — and who understands that the hardest problems in AI aren't just technical. They're human.
You'll spend most of your time embedded in client work, directing product engagements from brief through to market. But you'll also help build something bigger: IDEO's AI product practice in Europe, at a moment when the regulatory landscape — the EU AI Act, CSRD, EHDS — is becoming a genuine creative opportunity for the organisations brave enough to treat it that way.
You'll report to the London Leadership Team and work closely with directors and interdisciplinary teams across the studio. Business development is a natural part of the role — growing relationships, shaping opportunities, and helping clients understand what it genuinely means to build AI into their products and organisations responsibly.
Why is this role important for IDEO's work?
The question has shifted. Companies aren't asking "what can AI do?" anymore. They're asking "how do we make AI investment turn into something our customers actually want — and trust?"
That's the work. And it takes more than technical fluency. It takes the ability to sit at the intersection of human need, business ambition, and the emerging rules that will define how AI gets built in Europe. IDEO's London studio is positioned to lead here — and this role is central to making that happen.
We're not building an ML shop. We're building the practice that helps clients move from aspiration to reality: designing socio-technical systems that are trustworthy by design, not just compliant by accident.
Once here you will
Lead digital product engagements from brief through to market, owning quality, pace, and the client relationship throughout
Act as the main client point of contact on strategic accounts, building trust beyond the immediate project team
Direct multidisciplinary teams with clear thinking and steady hands, keeping work moving without losing rigour or craft
Help clients navigate the shift from AI-bolted-on to AI-native — including what it means to design for agentic systems, human–AI collaboration, and the messy reality of non-deterministic interfaces
Prototype and pressure-test concepts early. IDEO's edge is that we prototype with live models — revealing the nuance of human and AI interaction rather than theorising about it
Contribute to our AIx practice — developing tools, methods, and points of view that sharpen how IDEO and our clients think about designing with AI responsibly and at scale
Help us treat the European regulatory environment as a design brief. The EU AI Act isn't a constraint to manage around; it's a creative opportunity to design through
Coach and mentor designers and product leads, modelling excellent craft and client communication
Scope and frame follow-on work, growing relationships and helping define where IDEO can have the greatest impact
Represent IDEO externally through talks, writing, and thought leadership — particularly at the intersection of trustworthy AI and human-centred design
We're looking for someone with
Someone with a strong track record of leading and launching complex digital products — senior or director-level, ideally across both in-house and consultancy environments
A designer and leader who has shipped products where AI plays a meaningful role — not as decoration, but as something that genuinely changes what the product can do and how people experience it
Someone who can hold both rigour and imagination: the discipline to ship, and the curiosity to prototype what hasn't been built yet
Genuine fluency in how AI is reshaping product design — including agentic systems, LLM-powered capabilities, and human–AI interaction patterns. You understand the real trade-offs, not just the marketing
Confident working in Figma and prototyping early — whether that's a clickable mockup, a coded proof-of-concept, or a live model running in a workshop. IDEO's differentiator is that we build to think
Strong people leadership: you develop talent, manage performance, and create the conditions for good work in fast-moving, cross-functional teams
Experience scoping and framing new work, writing proposals, and presenting to senior clients
Experience navigating complex stakeholders — you know how to build alignment without losing the point of view that makes the work worth doing
A genuine understanding of UX and interaction design fundamentals, with a portfolio that shows breadth across platforms and contexts
It's a bonus if you
Have shipped AI-native products — not AI features layered onto existing ones, but products where AI is structural to the experience
Have familiarity with the EU AI Act or the broader European regulatory landscape around AI — and ideally a point of view on what it means for design practice
Have experience in health, financial services, consumer technology, retail, or sustainability — the sectors where the London studio is most focused
Have helped build an innovation practice or capability within a larger organisation
Are fluent in a second European language
What We Believe
AI is a new material. The outcome still needs design. We build things because people want them — not just because we can. And we believe the best AI products aren't the most technically sophisticated ones; they're the ones that earn trust, create genuine agency for the humans using them, and hold up when the stakes are real.
If that's how you think about this work, we'd love to talk.
What does IDEO offer you?
Innovation and creativity:
Lead work that genuinely matters — from designing AI-powered products and services to building innovation capabilities at some of the world’s most ambitious organisations, working alongside talented people across disciplines.
Learning and growth:
Whether it’s deepening your AI product craft, taking on more senior client relationships, or building your external profile through speaking and writing, we’re here to support your development.
Community and well-being:
Collaboration and community are central to what we do. We foster moments for creativity, connection, and reflection, and respect the need for work-life balance.
Projects with purpose:
We partner with clients to use design as a force for good, solving meaningful problems from inception through to implementation.
Compensation:
£90,000–£100,000 GBP, depending on experience.
Location:
This position is based out of our London studio with an in-person-first working model, including at least three days a week working from the studio.
Please note that the successful candidate must be based in the UK and have the unrestricted right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. IDEO proudly supports flexible work.
Commitment to Diversity
At IDEO, we are committed to the work of advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organisation and in the world. Our purpose of having disproportionate, world-changing impact through design is directly connected to our ability to bring many different perspectives to the table. This applies to our candidates, the people we hire, the clients and customers we serve, and the communities we learn from in our research.
As a human-centred organisation, we are committed to working with and designing for people of every race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, physical ability or attribute, religion, national origin, or political belief. We recognise that this commitment requires ongoing work and sustained attention, as well as adaptation to new insights and best practices. We keep our diversity data public for the sake of accountability and transparency.
Application requirements and instructions:
If you identify with our values, are excited about great design, and would like to contribute to our community, we would love to see your CV, a cover letter, and examples of your work.
CV: please highlight experiences related to the ‘We’re looking for someone with’ section above
Cover letter: please share why you are interested in this role and how it aligns with how you are looking to grow in your career
Work examples (confidentiality permitting): please include two or three projects that demonstrate your product thinking and AI fluency. For each, tell us the challenge, your role, the approach, and the impact
We know that many of you are coming from a range of backgrounds — product management, UX design, technology consulting, engineering, or a mix of all of the above. We think of digital product broadly, so include examples of whatever work best represents how you think and what you build.

At Linear, we're building the product development system for teams and agents. AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built, and we’re shaping the tools this new era requires.
Founded in 2019, Linear has become the platform of choice for more than 40,000 companies (including OpenAI, Coinbase, and Ramp) to plan, build, and ship their products. Today, our team is distributed across North America, Europe, and Australia, and we’re continuing to grow internationally. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and a deep care for software craftsmanship.
We’re hiring a Product Marketing Manager to help shape how Linear’s products are brought to market and understood by customers. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Design, CX, Sales, and Marketing, and is responsible for turning technically sophisticated product work into clear narratives, strong launches, and high-quality customer-facing experiences. You’ll go deep on the product, define positioning and messaging, and drive execution across the surfaces that matter most—from in-product copy and changelogs to enablement, documentation inputs, email, and launch communications. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines product judgment, excellent writing, and strong cross-functional leadership.
Location & work mode
Linear is a remote-first company, with optional co-working offices in San Francisco, New York, and London. This role is open to candidates based in North America and the United Kingdom. You can work from anywhere within these regions. We value deep focus and async collaboration, with intentional moments to connect in person through team off-sites, optional co-working, and occasional travel.
What you’ll do
- Develop positioning, messaging, and core narratives for feature releases, key launches, and strategic product narratives
- Partner closely with Product management, Engineering, and Design to refine how products are presented across in-product and external surfaces
- Create and coordinate launch deliverables such as changelogs, demos, enablement materials, email, social copy, and go-to-market communications
- Equip Sales, CX, and other customer-facing teams with the context and materials they need to communicate new launches effectively
- Bring customer insight, product understanding, and market context back into product and launch decisions
What we’re looking for
- Exceptional writing and editorial judgment, with the ability to make complex ideas feel clear and compelling
- Strong positioning and messaging skills grounded in customer problems, product truth, and differentiation
- Great project management skills and ability to track large amounts of detail.
- Comfort going deep on product details and building credibility with Product, Engineering, and Design
- Strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to operate autonomously while maintaining a high quality bar
What we offer
We're a small, focused team that cares deeply about the quality of our work and the people we do it with. Here's what you can expect:
- Competitive salary and equity
- Employee-friendly equity terms including early exercise in the US and extended exercise windows
- Daily meal and coffee stipend on every workday
- Paid co-working space or desk
- Health coverage (based on country requirements)
- 5 weeks paid vacation, plus local statutory holidays
- 4 months paid parental leave
- Paid month off after 4 years & every 2 years thereafter
- Regular team events and off-sites
- Remote-first with no required commute

We're a team of 170+ across 26 states and 7 countries, headquartered in New York City.
Our Risk & Compliance team is hiring a Senior AML Analyst who will improve the effectiveness, resilience, and scalability of our financial monitoring program. You will own Lithic's AML and financial crime monitoring program at the SOP and monitoring-engine level, and you will be the person who turns our agentic monitoring and investigation tooling into realized, defensible capacity. This is an ownership role, not purely a queue-based execution role: you’ll certainly handle escalations, exceptions, and perform population sampling, but the goal is routine, documented volume is increasingly absorbed by automation, and you own the design, tuning, and exception handling that sit around it.
What You’ll Do:
Own and continuously improve the AML and financial crime transaction monitoring SOPs, keeping them aligned to current regulatory requirements, evolving typologies, and operational reality
Own the feedback loop into Lithic's monitoring engine: partner with your Analytics, Engineering, and Product peers to evaluate alert logic, assess rule and scenario effectiveness, and tune thresholds to reduce false positives while preserving coverage
Lead the testing, deployment, and tuning of agentic transaction monitoring and investigation solutions, including documenting the investigative context the tooling needs to produce repeatable, examiner-ready output
Investigate complex suspicious activity independently and prepare high-quality SARs and UARs; own escalations and the judgment-heavy cases automation cannot close unattended
Supervise and quality-check alert review and investigative output, including AI-assisted output, so decisions hold up to bank partner and regulatory scrutiny
Synthesize monitoring performance data, operational trends, and emerging financial crime risks into actionable program insights, and define and influence AML KPIs and KRIs
Lead governance preparation for relevant oversight forums and support bank partner and exam-readiness deliverables
Train and mentor analysts on investigations, money laundering typologies, and the agentic tooling, so program knowledge scales beyond any one person
What you'll bring:
3+ years of AML/BSA and transaction monitoring experience in fintech, payments, or a bank-partnered environment
Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end AML programs or work streams with limited guidance, including authoring and maintaining SOPs and preparing governance materials
Deep knowledge of money laundering typologies and emerging financial crime trends, with the ability to investigate complex activity and prepare high-quality SARs and UARs independently
Hands-on experience evaluating alert logic and assessing or tuning transaction monitoring rules and scenarios for effectiveness
Comfort working with AI-assisted or agentic tooling, including how to test, tune, document, and defend AI-assisted decisions to bank partners and regulators
Self-starter who can create structure where none exists and knows when to escalate and collaborate
Strong written and verbal communication
Solid grasp of the BSA/AML regulatory framework (USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC and sanctions, SAR requirements)
Nice to Have:
CAMS or CFE (preferred, or willing to obtain)
Experience deploying or tuning AI, automation, or agentic tooling in a compliance or investigations context
Experience with OSINT tooling and SQL or Snowflake for investigative data retrieval
Card issuing, payments, or fintech experience with exposure to sponsor bank relationships
Background in high-risk verticals (MRBs, crypto-adjacent businesses, or similar)
The annual US salary range for this role is $65,000 - $120,000 plus equity. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Lithic and will be narrowed during the interview process based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
This is a remote position. However, candidates must be located in the United States. We do not offer visa sponsorship or assistance.
Benefits for Full-Time US Employees:
Unlimited PTO
12-weeks fully paid parental leave
4-Week Fully Paid Sabbatical (earned at your 5-year anniversary)

We’re hiring a Sales Lead to drive new business growth for our client. This is a full-cycle sales role for an experienced seller who can personally close business, build a repeatable outbound motion, and help shape the go-to-market strategy for a high-growth AI product.
You’ll own the sales process from prospecting through close and customer handoff. You’ll be one of the first commercial hires, which means you’ll have real influence on positioning, pricing, sales process, and how the product is brought to market.
You’ll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Partnerships, Marketing, and Customer Success. This role is designed for someone who thrives in builder environments, is energized by a product that sells itself once prospects see it, and wants ownership over outcomes, not just activity.
Requirements
Drive New Business Growth
Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and close.
Build and maintain a target account strategy by segment and customer profile.
Clearly articulate the ROI, efficiency gains, and revenue impact of AI-powered call handling and booking automation.
Seamlessly transition new customers to onboarding and Customer Success for activation and first value realization.
Build a Repeatable Outbound Motion
Lead outbound strategy and execution across calls, email, LinkedIn, and industry events.
Develop and iterate on talk tracks, competitive positioning, objection handling, and demo structure.
Establish pipeline creation targets and inspection routines that translate activity into predictable results.
Create repeatable playbooks covering segments, sequences, cadences, and qualification criteria.
Shape the Go-to-Market Strategy
Share structured customer insights and market feedback with Product and leadership to inform roadmap, pricing, and packaging decisions.
Maintain accurate pipeline, activity tracking, and forecasting in CRM (HubSpot).
Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs across outreach, demos, pipeline, and revenue.
Coordinate with Partnerships and Marketing to leverage partner channels and campaigns for pipeline generation.
What Success Looks Like
In the First 90 Days
You’ve built a clear target account list by segment and launched outbound motions that are producing qualified opportunities.
CRM pipeline and activity tracking are clean, reliable, and maintained.
You’ve delivered multiple demos, progressed deals through the pipeline, and closed your first customers.
In 6 to 12 Months
A predictable sales engine is running: outbound activity is converting to qualified pipeline, and pipeline is converting to closed revenue.
You’ve closed a meaningful book of new business and the customer base is growing steadily.
Sales playbooks, talk tracks, and demo flows are documented and repeatable.
You’re contributing to expansion beyond the initial vertical, identifying and testing new market segments.
Benefits
Required
3 to 5+ years of proven success in B2B SaaS new business sales, with a strong track record of closing.
Strong hunter mentality: comfortable with outbound prospecting and generating your own pipeline, not reliant on inbound leads.
Experience managing a full sales cycle from first contact through contract execution.
Confident running discovery calls and solution-based sales conversations that connect product capabilities to business outcomes.
Experience building or materially improving a sales motion: process, messaging, cadence, and forecasting.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent).
Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred
Experience selling in marine management, storage systems, dealership platforms, or adjacent verticals is a strong plus.
Experience selling AI, automation, or voice/conversational technology products.
Experience in vertical market software or operationally complex environments where the buyer is an operator, not a tech team.
Startup or early-stage SaaS experience where you had to build the motion, not just run it.
Why Join
Sell a product that prospects can see and hear in action from the first demo, in a market that is ready for it.
Ground-floor opportunity: be one of the first commercial hires as the business establishes its leadership team and revenue engine.
Direct influence on positioning, pricing, go-to-market strategy, and product direction.
Competitive base salary with uncapped commission and high OTE potential.

Overview
Nex is looking for a Senior Producer, External Japan to drive our externally developed game projects on Nex Playground in the Japanese market. Sitting in the Publishing organization and reporting to the Japan General Manager, this is a pivotal role as we expand beyond our internal development capacity, and a unique opportunity to tap into Japan’s world-class game development ecosystem and its rich landscape of iconic IP.
You will own the external product pipeline from ideation through launch and sustain phases, working with a wide range of Japanese game developers, from major studios to mid-size and boutique teams, as well as leading IP holders spanning anime, manga, character, and entertainment franchises, to bring bar-raising experiences to Nex Playground.
The Senior Producer, External Japan will partner closely with internal game development teams, QA, BD, Legal, and the Japan GTM team, while collaborating with the US Publishing organization to ensure Japan’s external content pipeline is aligned with the global roadmap and platform standards.
The Role
Your core focus is managing Japan’s external game development pipeline end-to-end, from identifying and onboarding the right developer and IP partners, through green light, production, launch, and live operations. That includes:
Owning the full production pipeline for externally developed experiences in Japan, from developer pitch and selection through GTM and sustain.
Building and managing relationships with Japan-based game developers of all scales, from major studios to mid-size and boutique teams, as second-party development partners.
Negotiating and managing partnerships with Japanese IP holders, including anime, manga, character, and entertainment licensors.
Serving as the primary Japan-side partner to the US Publishing team, ensuring Japan’s external content pipeline is integrated into the global roadmap.
Reporting to the Japan General Manager and representing Japan’s external development strategy in global publishing forums.
What You’ll Do
Game Quality & Creative Direction
Develop a deep, inside-out understanding of each externally developed title, its gameplay systems, creative vision, target audience, and quality bar, so that all feedback and decisions are grounded in a clear view of what the game needs to be.
Set the destination clearly for each project, defining the quality bar and creative vision, while leaving how to get there to the developer and their Director. The Producer’s role is to bring out the best in the development team, not to do their job for them.
Conduct regular, structured playthroughs and build reviews throughout the development cycle, providing sharp, meaningful, and timely feedback through questions and commentary that motivate the team and elevate quality without overriding the developer’s creative ownership.
Continuously assess whether each project is tracking toward the right vision, not just technically complete, but genuinely fun, polished, and right for the Nex Playground audience, and course-correct early when it is not.
Recognize that a project requiring the Producer to take over creative direction is already in trouble; intervene early through clear communication, targeted feedback, and escalation before a project reaches that point.
Exercise the Producer’s ultimate authority decisively and with sound judgment when necessary, including recommending a change of Director or, in extreme cases, replacing the Developer entirely. Knowing when and how to make that call, and having the courage and clarity to act on it at the right moment, is one of the most critical responsibilities of this role.
Budget, Schedule & Green Light Management
Drive the green light process for each Japan external project, proactively coordinating with BD, Finance, Legal, and US Publishing to gather required inputs, align stakeholders, schedule green light reviews, and secure formal approval to proceed.
Own the milestone approval process end-to-end: prepare milestone review materials, schedule and facilitate approval meetings with relevant internal stakeholders, manage pre-meeting alignment, and ensure decisions are documented and communicated clearly.
Manage the full budget for each Japan external development project, tracking costs against approved budgets, processing milestone payments, managing change requests, and flagging financial risks to the Japan GM and Finance team.
Define, maintain, and enforce project schedules and milestone plans for all Japan external titles, holding developers accountable to agreed timelines and proactively identifying and resolving schedule risks before they become blockers.
Escalate budget overruns, schedule slippage, or unresolvable quality concerns to the Japan GM and US Publishing team promptly, with clear context and recommended actions.
External Production Pipeline Management
Oversee the entire production pipeline for Japan externally developed experiences, including developer pitch and selection, green light, project planning, milestone tracking, and launch readiness.
Build out production frameworks and implement tracking mechanisms to manage the Japan external pipeline from pre-green light through GTM and sustain phases.
Foster a collaborative, problem-solving approach with Japan development teams to drive high-quality games and experiences that meet Nex Playground’s bar.
Work with the internal Development team to support Japan external projects as needed, ensuring smooth integration with Nex Playground’s platform and technical standards.
Developer Relationships & Onboarding
Identify, evaluate, and onboard Japan-based game developers across all scales, from major studios and mid-size teams to boutique developers, as Nex Playground external development partners.
Manage the full developer onboarding process for Japan developers, including documentation, tooling access, Discord channel management, and ongoing developer communications.
Contribute to an evolving green light process for new Japan development projects, coordinating with BD, Finance, and Legal to conduct thorough developer due diligence and reviews.
Build long-term, trust-based relationships with Japan’s game development community across all studio sizes and types, positioning Nex Playground as a premier platform partner.
Represent Nex Playground at Japan game industry events, developer conferences, and networking forums to identify and cultivate new development partnerships.
Japanese IP Partner Management
Identify and pursue partnerships with Japanese IP holders across anime, manga, character franchises, and entertainment properties that are a strong fit for Nex Playground’s audience.
Develop and implement a constructive feedback loop for Japanese IP holders and key internal stakeholders to enhance overall game quality while upholding high standards across gameplay, visuals, branding, and design.
Manage day-to-day relationships with IP licensors, including approval processes, creative reviews, milestone sign-offs, and compliance with licensor brand guidelines.
Work closely with BD and Legal to structure and negotiate IP licensing agreements, ensuring commercial terms and usage rights are clearly defined and protected.
Navigate the nuances of Japanese licensor relationships with cultural sensitivity and professionalism, building mutual trust and long-term partnership value.
Localization Support & Planning
Work closely with the Localization Manager to ensure localization is planned, scoped, and resourced from the earliest stages of each Japan external project, not treated as an afterthought.
Incorporate localization milestones into each project’s master schedule, ensuring string freezes, asset handoffs, translation turnarounds, and localization QA are accounted for and protected throughout the production cycle.
Monitor localization progress against the schedule, proactively identifying risks or delays and working with the Localization Manager and external developer to resolve blockers before they impact the launch date.
Facilitate communication between the external developer and the Localization Manager, ensuring developers understand localization requirements, handoff processes, and quality standards from the outset.
Ensure that localized builds are reviewed and signed off as part of the milestone approval process, and that localization quality is treated as a non-negotiable component of overall game quality.
Live Operations & Sustain
Plan and manage for success with Live Operations for Japan external titles, including developing update plans, quality of life improvements, and major content releases.
Monitor post-launch performance of Japan external titles using data-driven insights to inform live ops decisions and improve KPIs aligned with business goals.
Coordinate with Japan GTM, QA, and the US Publishing team on content release cadence and sustain strategy for Japan external titles.
Manage IP licensor approvals for ongoing live content updates, ensuring all new content meets licensor standards and is cleared efficiently.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with:
Japan General Manager: direct reporting line; external production strategy, green light decisions, and Japan content roadmap
US Publishing team: align Japan external pipeline with global roadmap, share production frameworks, and coordinate on platform standards
Japan GTM & Performance Marketing Manager: coordinate on launch readiness, GTM planning, and content marketing for Japan external titles
Internal Game Development team: technical integration support for Japan external projects
Localization Manager: support localization planning and execution for Japan external titles, ensuring localization is scoped into the project schedule from the outset, milestones are met, and the final localized product meets Nex Playground’s quality standards
BD & Legal: developer due diligence, IP licensing negotiations, and contract management
Finance: budget management, milestone payment processing, and development cost tracking
Communicate project updates, risks, and timelines clearly and proactively to cross-functional teams and leadership across Japan and US time zones.
