Location: Valencia
Workplace: OnSite
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Software Engineer, Simulation and Modeling
- Location: Valencia
- Reports to: Reports to: Laboratory Lead & Test Architect
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
As a Software Engineer, Simulation and Modeling, you’ll build the software world the satellites live in (orbits, emitters, signals, truth and scoring) so the whole team can ask “what if” and get a number back. ICEYE is building a space-based RF constellation covering 100 MHz to 30 GHz alongside its SAR fleet, and the Experimentation Lab in Valencia is where we develop, simulate and validate that capability.
Customers and our own engineers ask questions we currently answer by hand-waving: what revisit a cluster gives over an area, how many emitters we detect in a crowded scene, how geolocation accuracy moves with cluster spacing or timing error, and what a next-generation architecture choice buys. The answers need a simulation framework that models the constellation and the emitters end to end, generates the signals each satellite would see, and scores what comes out against a known truth. It doesn’t exist yet. You’ll build it, and it will become a tool used by engineers, analysts and customer-facing staff.
You’ll work daily with the lab, signal processing and ground segment teams, and you’ll have direct influence on how ICEYE builds and proves this capability.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.
ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Model the constellation: orbit propagation, cluster geometry, attitude and pointing, antenna beams, access and contact windows, with spacing and timing as swept variables.
- Model the emitters and the theatre: emitters as state machines with real antenna patterns, scan behaviour, modes and duty cycles, placed at order-of-battle density. Start from the lab’s real captures and extend synthetically.
- Generate the signals: propagation and link modelling (path loss, delay, Doppler, ionosphere in the low band) and synthetic I/Q per satellite, at a fidelity the RF hardware and the processing chain can consume.
- Own the truth together with the processing team: a truth ledger of every simulated emission, position and time, kept out of reach of the system under test, plus the association and scoring that turn a run into detection rate, false-alarm rate, geolocation accuracy and latency.
- Drive the hardware together with the RF team: provide the geometry and timing the channel simulator and playback hardware need, so a recorded radar can be heard by three simulated satellites with the right delays and Doppler.
- Make it a platform: versioned scenarios, seeded and reproducible runs, provenance on every result, tests, CI, documentation and an interface that non-authors can use.
- Answer real questions: capacity, revisit and performance studies for the payload, product and sales teams, and architecture trades for future generations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must haves:
- Strong software engineering in Python (and ideally a compiled language): clean architecture, version control, testing, code review, packaging
- Experience building a simulation or model of a physical system that others used, and validating it against measurement or real data
- Numerical and scientific computing: NumPy/SciPy or equivalent, vectorisation, performance awareness
- Working knowledge of at least one of orbital mechanics and access computation, RF link budgets and propagation, or signal processing
- Habits that make results reproducible: seeds, configuration management, data provenance
- Clear written and spoken English
Nice to haves:
- Constellation, mission or system-level modeling and simulation (STK, Orekit, GMAT, Basilisk or in-house)
- Radar, EW or emitter modeling; scenario or order-of-battle generation
- TDOA/FDOA/AoA geolocation or estimation theory
- Synthetic I/Q generation, GPU acceleration, or real-time and hardware-in-the-loop interfaces
- Cloud-native deployment, containers, workflow orchestration, and data stores for large runs
- A simulation framework of yours that outlived your involvement in it
- Eligibility for national security clearance (an advantage)
What success looks like:
- 6 months: a first end-to-end scenario (cluster geometry, a handful of emitters, synthetic I/Q per satellite, truth logged, a first score) is used to answer at least one real capacity or performance question.
- 12 months: a reproducible, documented framework runs without you on the team; geometry drives the RF channel simulator; real captures enter scenarios alongside synthetic emitters.
- 24 months: the simulation is part of the end-to-end loop with the flatsat and ground pipeline, runs in regression, and backs performance numbers we put in front of customers.

For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

We are looking for a motivated Mid-Market Account Executive to add to our industry-leading GTM team. In this role, you will develop relationships with prospective brands ready to scale their digital potential. The ideal candidate will possess technical aptitude, sharp project management skills, and comfort selling into all levels of an organization. Sound like you? Read on.
Olo's industry-leading online ordering platform has changed the restaurant landscape, helping many of our customers achieve 40%+ digital sales. You will be helping new logo brands move beyond fragmented tech by adopting an integrated platform for ordering, payments, and guest engagement.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing group of Account Executives within Olo's Mid-Market Sales team, focused on restaurant brands with between 5 and 49 locations. You will report to the Senior Manager, Mid-Market Sales, and can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo’s headquarters in NYC.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Own the full sales cycle — from self-sourced prospecting and territory prioritization through discovery, demo, proposal, and close.
Build and manage a healthy pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry events, and partner channels.
Drive awareness of Olo products and services to an assigned “Book of Business” and book meetings to explore sales opportunities.
Deliver a unified vision of Olo’s Order, Pay, and Engage solutions, and present a recommended proposal for each prospect based on a thorough understanding of their business model, technology stack, and growth plans.
Build and manage key stakeholders and "champions" through multi-threading within target organizations.
Conduct high-impact product demonstrations (video conference or face-to-face) showcasing how Olo solutions help brands deliver personalized hospitality at scale while driving incremental revenue.
Coordinate customer meetings and deliver timely recaps with associated follow-up materials.
Manage the full sales cycle, from initial discovery and qualifying competitive threats to final contract negotiations.
Partner with the Deployment and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless program launches that meet client expectations.
Maintain a consistent pipeline to meet and exceed monthly/quarterly revenue and new client acquisition goals.
What Will Set You Up For Success
5+ years of sales experience, with 3+ years in a closing role (B2B SaaS, payment solutions, or hospitality tech preferred).
You prospect as a daily habit to build pipeline independently, without solely relying on inbound or marketing leads.
You understand the whitespace of each account in your book and perform outbound prospecting to brands with relevant messaging to create the necessary pipeline coverage.
You conduct excellent discovery and adopt a structure to determine whether to continue the sales conversation.
You demonstrate an ability to identify, build, and manage key stakeholders throughout the process.
You adopt a standard sales process or methodology, clearly articulating the specific actions that each role is responsible for within the process.
You arrive for each key conversation with an agenda and set questions, and follow up with thoughtful discussion points and next steps.
You have experience selling platform-based products and are comfortable getting “into the weeds” with prospects.
Able to communicate with multiple internal departments about client feedback and work cross-functionally to solve problems.
You are proficient in demonstrating complex platforms and highly skilled in CRM (Salesforce), Excel, and data analytics tools.
Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for C-level or founder-level decision makers.
You are experienced with deciphering legal contracts and navigating the nuances of multi-year SaaS agreements.
Comfortable managing a high volume of deals simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.
You're client-focused, motivated, and have prior results to prove it.
Experience selling to the hospitality/restaurant industry, payment solutions and/or SaaS-based products is a plus.
Experience building trust with "Founder-led" brands, where decision-making is often highly personal and less bureaucratic than enterprise environments, is preferred.
Ability to consult brands specifically on the "inflection point" of scaling from 5 to 49 locations, positioning Olo as the foundation for growth is a plus.
Preferred: skill in tailoring customized ROI models that quantify the "cost of inaction" regarding fragmented tech stacks. Deep knowledge of the hospitality tech ecosystem to proactively differentiate Olo against legacy POS providers and niche ordering and guest engagement apps.
The social intelligence to manage the varying priorities of a brand leader, an operations lead, a head of technology, a finance lead, and a head of marketing simultaneously is a plus.

About the team
Agent Experience builds the AI-powered backend services that power agent-assist tooling on our Astra support surface — helping support agents resolve customer, merchant, and Dasher issues faster. We sit at the intersection of LLM-backed product features and high-volume, latency-sensitive support infrastructure.
What you'll do
Build and maintain backend services for agent-assist features on Astra, taking on feature-level work with increasing independence.
Translate requirements into working code: design the feature-level approach, write an RFC when the change affects other engineers, and implement it end-to-end.
Integrate with LLM-backed features — wiring up prompt/completion calls, handling provider responses, and validating output quality and correctness.
Break down assigned project work into tasks, provide accurate estimates, and keep your own progress and dependencies on track.
Apply AI tooling thoughtfully to your own workflow (coding, testing, review) and critically evaluate its output rather than taking it at face value.
Participate in code review — both giving and receiving — to help the team hold a high bar for correctness, quality, and standards compliance.
Collaborate with senior engineers and partner teams to clarify problem definitions, unblock yourself, and flag risks or blockers early.
What we're looking for
Solid backend engineering fundamentals in Go, with experience shipping and maintaining production services.
Exposure to LLM-powered features in production (prompt/completion integration, provider APIs) is a plus — we'll ramp you up if you haven't worked with this directly.
Ability to independently own feature-level work: from a written requirement to tested, shipped code.
Comfort working in a domain with multiple chat/support surfaces — willingness to trace issues to the right service rather than guessing.
Clear technical writing (RFCs for feature-level decisions) and good judgment about when to ask for help versus push forward.
2–4 years of backend engineering experience, with a track record of growing ownership and scope.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
At Deliveroo, we know that a great workplace reflects the world around us and that true diversity and inclusion make us stronger, more creative, and better at what we do. We’re committed to fostering an environment where everyone can do their best work and feel they belong.
