Alongside this UK mandate, you will act as deputy to the Group Head of Risk (Digital Assets) and take primary ownership of building the Group’s financial and prudential risk framework, which will be applied across the Group’s regulated entities as they are onboarded. You will report to the Group Head of Risk (Digital Assets), set the local risk direction, maintain the risk appetite within Group boundaries, and ensure the business operates within approved limits while it scales.
This position carries regulatory responsibilities and is expected to be subject to FCA fit and proper assessment, with senior management accountability expected to formalise as the UK cryptoasset regime transitions into the FSMA authorisation framework. You will be accountable for risk governance, effective oversight of prudential and market risks, and ensuring growth is matched by strong controls, clear escalation, and Board level visibility
Responsibilities
Strategic Risk Leadership:
Own and drive the UK risk strategy, aligned with the Group risk strategy, the business plan, and FCA expectations. Set and maintain the local risk appetite within the boundaries of the Group Risk Appetite Statement
Financial and Prudential Risk (group ):
Own and lead the Group's financial and prudential risk framework -
credit, liquidity, capital, cost, market, and concentration risk
. Lead the Group and entity ICARA (or equivalent) processes end to end, including capital planning and wind down planning.
Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis:
Design and lead the stress testing programme covering crypto market shocks, client behaviour, liquidity withdrawal, counterparty failure, and operational disruption.
Counterparty and Credit Risk:
Set and monitor risk limits for crypto liquidity providers, exchanges, custodians, and banking partners. Oversee counterparty due diligence, concentration risk, and contingency planning for counterparty disruption.
Custody and Safeguarding Risk:
Provide second line oversight of crypto-asset custody arrangements, key management, client asset safeguarding, and on-chain settlement risk.
Operational Risk and Controls:
Oversee the UK RCSA cycle, incident and issue management, control testing, and KRI monitoring in the Group GRC platform.
Technology and Resilience Risk:
Provide oversight of operational resilience, cybersecurity risk, and change management, leveraging group technology risk arrangements.
Outsourcing and Third Party Risk:
Oversee UK's critical third party arrangements, including custody, cloud, and blockchain analytics providers. Ensure robust due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and exit plans.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Maintain the UK risk register and KRIs. Deliver decision ready reporting to the UK Board and Audit and Risk Committee, including appetite breaches, emerging risks, incidents, and remediation progress.
Regulatory Alignment:
Maintain close relationships with the FCA and support regulatory submissions, inspections, and remediation of findings. Ensure audit readiness and disciplined evidence management.
Requirements
Crypto-Assets & Digital Assets (essential):
Proven, hands-on experience with crypto-assets and digital assets is required for this role.
Education & Experience:
Experience in risk management within regulated financial services, with required, demonstrable depth in financial and prudential risk — credit, liquidity, capital, market, concentration, and cost risk. Brokerage or trading platform experience is an advantage.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Strong expertise in FCA requirements, including the UK cryptoasset regime, prudential frameworks (IFPR, ICARA or ICAAP). Prior FCA approval or fit and proper clearance is a strong advantage.
Outsourced Service Management:
Proven experience managing outsourced or shared service risk functions: defining service requirements, monitoring delivery quality, and escalating shortfalls. This is a critical differentiator for this role.
Governance:
Proven experience engaging with Boards and committees, managing escalation processes, and supporting regulatory inspections and audits.
Technical Strength:
Strong command of capital adequacy, liquidity and market risk, stress testing and scenario design, wind down planning, and counterparty risk. Understanding of crypto market structure, custody models, and on-chain risk is highly valued.
Leadership:
Proven ability to build and lead an independent risk function in a fast-paced environment, deputise credibly at group level, and challenge senior stakeholders with clarity and discipline.

High ethical standards, independence of judgment, and ability to meet FCA fit and proper expectations. Professional risk qualifications (FRM, PRM, CFA) are an advantage.

About the Team
It’s an exciting time to join our rapidly growing Accounting team with ample development opportunities. We're growing the Revenue Data team with Engineering and Accounting Data openings to drive automation and systems infrastructure. All whilst while keeping pace within one of the fastest growing marketplace companies globally.

Partner directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into reliable, auditable, and automated systems.
Shape the team's architecture and engineering best practices, mentoring junior engineers and raising the technical bar across the organization.
Drive measurable improvements in data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system performance in a high-impact, compliance-critical environment.

You have 3 - 4+ years of experience in software or data engineering, with a strong track record of owning and delivering complex backend or data infrastructure projects.
You have deep expertise in distributed systems and data engineering, with hands-on experience in tools like Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, or similar modern data stack technologies.
You can navigate the intersection of engineering and finance — understanding concepts like revenue recognition, reconciliation, and auditability well enough to build systems that meet those requirements.
You have a collaborative, low-ego approach and can effectively partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and Engineering.
Familiarity with SOX controls, data quality frameworks, or financial systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a strong plus.

Location: London, United Kingdom - Deliveroo
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
About the team
The People Technology Product team builds the internal tools and frameworks that power every employee’s journey across Deliveroo, DoorDash and Wolt. We combine a hybrid “build + buy” approach to deliver intelligent, scalable and people-centric experiences across hiring, pre-boarding, onboarding, learning, performance and more — connecting our mission to transform the way the world eats and shops with the experience of the people who make it happen. We partner closely with Design, Engineering, Analytics, People/HR and IT to build products that elevate the entire People Tech stack across all three brands.
About the role
We’re hiring a Staff Product Manager to own the product experience for pre-boarding and onboarding — one of the highest-leverage moments in the employee lifecycle — across Deliveroo, DoorDash and Wolt. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on the cross-functional experience that begins the moment a candidate signs and continues until a new hire is fully ramped, spanning both the People and IT functions. You’ll be the end-to-end product owner for the systems, workflows and experiences that get equipment, access, accounts, paperwork and early enablement right from day one. Based in London and working with global teams, you’ll drive measurable improvements to the new-hire experience and help our new hires ramp up faster, at scale across regions, legal contexts, and brands.
What you'll be doing
Own the end-to-end product roadmap and execution for pre-boarding and onboarding across Deliveroo, DoorDash and Wolt, from offer acceptance through to a fully ramped new hire.
Design and evolve cross-functional experiences that connect People and IT workflows — provisioning, access and account setup, equipment, documentation and early enablement — into a single, coherent journey for new joiners and their managers.
Define and track the metrics that matter — time-to-productivity, new-hire satisfaction, day-one readiness and operational efficiency — and use them to prioritise work and demonstrate impact.
Build durable, modular product capabilities — task orchestration, status visibility, and manager and new-hire dashboards — that scale across geographies, orgs and brands and reduce reliance on manual, one-off processes.
Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, People/HR and IT to translate complex, cross-functional process needs into intuitive product capabilities.
Navigate the realities of a multi-brand, multi-region environment — varied legal and compliance requirements, regional differences and change management — without disrupting critical hiring moments.
Set the product vision and influence senior stakeholders across the People and IT functions, building alignment on a shared onboarding strategy across all three brands.
Model strong product judgement: define clear problem statements, scope MVPs intentionally and invest in foundations that compound over time.
Requirements
A track record of building and shipping products end-to-end — from problem definition and strategy through delivery and iteration — ideally in People/HR, IT or other complex, cross-functional environments.
Experience designing products and workflows that span multiple functions, systems and stakeholders, turning complexity into simple, usable experiences.
Comfort working with both custom-built tools and third-party SaaS platforms, including integrating data across systems.
Strong analytical skills and the habit of using data and metrics to define success, prioritise and measure impact.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain product decisions clearly and influence senior leaders across functions and brands.
Experience operating across regions, legal contexts or multiple brands, building products that work in a global environment.
A bias for delivering high-quality products in a fast-moving organisation, balancing speed, risk and technical constraints.
Why Deliveroo
Our mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders. We are transforming the way the world eats and shops by making access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable. We give people the opportunity to buy what they want, as they want it, when and where they want it.
We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.
Workplace & Benefits
At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. Benefits differ by country, but we offer many benefits in areas including healthcare, well-being, parental leave, pensions, and generous annual leave allowances, including time off to support a charitable cause of your choice. Benefits are country-specific, please ask your recruiter for more information.
Diversity
At Deliveroo, we believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in a rapidly growing industry.
We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our hiring process. We recognise that some candidates may require adjustments to apply for a position or fairly participate in the interview process. If you require any adjustments, please don't hesitate to let us know. We will make every effort to provide the necessary adjustments to ensure you have an equitable opportunity to succeed.

In this hybrid L1/L2 support role, you will be the first point of contact for customers and internal teams, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for compute-related inquiries. You’ll also serve as the escalation point for complex issues, leveraging your deep systems knowledge, Kubernetes expertise, and operational debugging skills to ensure our AI workloads run smoothly at scale.
This is a support-focused role that blends system administration, customer-facing communication, and compute infrastructure expertise. While coding is not the primary focus, familiarity with Go for debugging and automation is a plus.

- Act as the first interlocutor for customers and internal teams, providing timely and effective responses to compute-related inquiries.
- Triage and prioritize incoming requests, ensuring SLAs are met for acknowledgment, first response, and resolution.

- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical compute systems
- Nice to have: Optimize system configurations (e.g., kernel parameters, filesystem tuning, network settings) for high-performance computing (HPC) and AI workloads.
KUBERNETES & CONTAINERIZATION
- Debug Kubernetes clusters with a focus on:
- Pod and node issues (e.g., CrashLoopBackOff, OOMKilled, ImagePullBackOff).
- Networking and storage (e.g., CNI plugins, PersistentVolumes, StorageClasses).
- Resource management (e.g., Requests/Limits, QOS classes, node affinity).
- Troubleshoot container runtime issues (Docker, containerd) such as image pull failures, OCI compliance, or runtime errors.
- Collaborate with SRE teams to understand and improve existing IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and Go-based tooling.
DOCUMENTATION & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
- Create and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and internal documentation for common compute issues (e.g., GPU debugging, Kubernetes troubleshooting).
- Contribute to post-mortems with actionable follow-ups to prevent recurring incidents.
- Train internal teams on best practices for compute infrastructure and debugging.
