We are seeking a
Senior Mobile Engineer
to take ownership of the Mattermost mobile experience for teams working in defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure. Our users operate in DDIL environments where connectivity may be disconnected, denied, intermittent, or limited, security is non-negotiable, and the software they depend on has to keep working.
Our mobile app is primarily React Native and TypeScript today, with native iOS and Android integrations. Your immediate focus will be making that experience more reliable and performant. Over time, you'll also help shape the next generation of our cross-platform mobile architecture.
You'll work hands-on across application and native layers, partner closely with platform and feature teams, work directly with customer-facing teams on field reports from constrained environments, and help raise the bar for how we observe, diagnose, and build mobile software.
Responsibilities
Reliability and Performance
Architect the app for DDIL and other constrained network environments
Improve data and functional reliability across connection lifecycle, synchronization, recovery, and failure scenarios
Own crash-free and release-health outcomes, using telemetry to proactively identify regressions and drive them through diagnosis to resolution
Profile and improve performance across startup, networking, storage, rendering, memory, and battery usage
Mobile Platform Ownership
Own critical iOS and Android integrations and the boundaries between native and cross-platform code
Maintain and evolve platform capabilities including push notifications, background execution, secure storage, app lifecycle, and real-time communications
Build within mobile distribution and device-management constraints, including App Store, enterprise and MDM deployment, AppConfig, and Intune MAM
Diagnose production issues from native traces, telemetry, device profiling, and sparse field logs

Требования:
— 3+ года в manual QA;
— 2+ года тестирования Android;
— 1+ год тестирования Web;
— опыт кросс-браузерного и адаптивного тестирования;
— Android Studio + анализ логов;

Задачи:

— Проведение обширного регрессионного тестирования
— Проведение исследовательского тестирования для выявления дефектов и рисков качества
— Тестирование мобильных приложений и мобильных устройств, включая решения на базе Android
— Проверка взаимодействия различных функций и компонентов системы
— Проверка обновлений программного обеспечения и совместимости между версиями с подробным описанием дефектов и шагов воспроизведения
— Сотрудничество с командами разработки и бизнес-стейкхолдерами
— Выявление областей, которые могут быть автоматизированы
Требования:
— Опыт работы на уровне senior в области обеспечения качества
— Сильные навыки ручного тестирования
— Опыт тестирования мобильных приложений и/или мобильных устройств
— Опыт тестирования Android
— Практический опыт регрессионного тестирования
— Сильные навыки исследовательского тестирования
— Отличные навыки отчетности по дефектам и документации
— Способность работать самостоятельно и эффективно управлять приоритетами
— Сильные коммуникативные и организационные навыки
Желательно:
— Понимание концепций и лучших практик автоматизации тестирования
— Умение выявлять тест-кейсы, подходящие для автоматизации
— Опыт поддержки или сотрудничества в инициативах по автоматизации
— Знание Kotlin и Appium
