An overview of this role
As a Software Engineer on GitLab's Authorization team, you'll help build and maintain the system that decides what every user, token, and automated agent can access on GitLab.com, Self-Managed, and Dedicated. You'll work alongside experienced engineers who guide the larger design decisions, delivering well-scoped changes and growing into ownership of larger parts of the system.
Today, that work is Ruby on Rails. Roughly 400 policy classes and a catalog of about 1,900 permissions sit behind every application programming interface (API) request. You'll work on fine-grained token permissions, custom roles, and the GraphQL and representational state transfer (REST) APIs that enforce them. A single request can trigger hundreds of permission checks, so correctness and performance both matter.
You'll also contribute to moving the permission model to a new authorization stack that pairs the Rails monolith with a Rust policy engine. The engine represents access relationships and evaluates permission rules, and can run within the monolith's process or be reached through remote procedure calls using gRPC. You don't need prior Rust experience: several engineers on the team learned it for this work, and we'll support you doing the same.
Some examples of our projects:
Refactoring GitLab's policy layer so the same permission definitions can be evaluated by the monolith and the new authorization service
Extending fine-grained token permissions to more resources, with guidance from senior engineers on the design
What you'll do
Implement authorization changes in GitLab's Ruby on Rails monolith so permission checks allow intended access and deny unauthorized access.
Deliver well-scoped workstreams from feature-flagged rollout through verifying that the old and new systems produce the same results, with review and guidance from senior engineers.
Build and extend fine-grained permissions for tokens and roles so additional resources have permission coverage consistent with the established catalog.
Extend and fix authorization enforcement so GraphQL and the REST API enforce the intended permissions consistently.
Make incremental refactors to long-lived policy code without changing behavior for existing customers.
Investigate and fix reliability, performance, and security issues so affected permission checks return the expected results without regressions.
Work with the authentication, platform, and artificial intelligence (AI) teams to document interface contracts that keep permission checks consistent as authorization moves toward a shared service.
Contribute to design documents, merge requests, and code reviews so proposed changes have a documented rationale and review feedback is addressed asynchronously.
Take part in on-call or operational support where your team’s ownership model requires it.
What you'll bring
Solid experience building and maintaining production Ruby on Rails applications, typically gained over 2 to 4 years or more.
Hands-on experience with authorization concepts, such as role-based access control or fine-grained permissions, from work or projects.
A security mindset: you treat a permission bug as a security bug and consider who a change could affect before choosing an implementation.
Experience making careful changes to existing codebases, including incremental refactors and feature-flagged rollouts that preserve existing behavior.
Familiarity with GraphQL or API authorization patterns.
Awareness of performance, including how repeated permission checks can add up on every request.
Strong written communication and the ability to work effectively when most decisions happen in a document or merge request rather than a meeting.
Helpful, but not required: hands-on PostgreSQL experience, or experience with Rust, gRPC or Protocol Buffers, Cedar or other policy languages, Zanzibar-style authorization systems, Go, or service-oriented architecture.
We welcome transferable experience from adjacent domains such as identity, policy engines, and platform security.
About the team
We work in a fully asynchronous organization, with most decisions made in documents or merge requests rather than meetings.
GitLab's mission is to enable everyone to contribute to and co-create the software that powers our world. Our values include collaboration, results, efficiency, diversity, inclusion and belonging, iteration, and transparency. We expect all GitLab team members to incorporate AI into their daily workflows to drive efficiency, innovation, and impact.

The AI orchestration of your wildest imagination.
n8n is the open workflow orchestration platform built for the new era of AI. We give technical teams the freedom of code with the speed of no-code, so they can automate faster, smarter, and without limits. Backed by a fiercely inventive community and 500+ builder-approved integrations, we’re changing the way people bring systems together and scale ideas for impact.
Since our founding in 2019, we’ve grown into a diverse team of over 260 - working across Europe and the US, connected by a shared builder spirit and with our centre of gravity in Berlin. Along the way, we’ve:
- Cultivated a community of more than 650,000 active developers and builders
- Earned 190K+ GitHub stars, making us one of the world’s Top 40 most popular projects
- Backed by top investors, from Sequoia’s first German seed to our SAP's recent strategic investment - bringing us to a $5.2bn valuation
That’s the company we’ve built. Now we’d love to see what you can build. If you’re applying, try n8n out - whether you’re technical or not - and share a screenshot of your first workflow with us. The easiest place to start is here: app.n8n.cloud/register http://app.n8n.cloud/register.
We’re in a defining moment of an incredible journey. Come and build with us.
AI is now part of almost every workflow built on n8n. But before a new user can build their first AI automation, they often hit a wall: sign up with a model provider, create an API key, add billing, and paste credentials into n8n. Many people never get past that step.
The Relay team removes that wall. With Gateway credits, n8n Cloud users get leading AI models and services such as web search, scraping and document parsing built in, with no keys to manage. A new user can open a template or ask the AI assistant to build something, and it just works on day one.
MAKE DAY-ONE SUCCESS THE DEFAULT
- Own the Gateway credits experience end to end: from sign-up to first successful AI workflow or Agent, to ongoing usage.
- Remove credential friction across the product. Work with the Growth, Agents and n8n Assistant teams so new users land on services that work out of the box.
- Decide which models and services we offer, and how we price and package them for users..
BUILD AND RUN PROVIDER PARTNERSHIPS
- Own relationships with model and tool providers, from first conversation to signed deal.
- Lead commercial negotiations, including volume commitments, pricing and terms.
- Partner with Finance on commitment approvals and consumption forecasting.
- Decide when to add, expand or drop a provider, based on user demand, quality and cost.
SHAPE THE ENTERPRISE AI GATEWAY
- Lead discovery with enterprise customers and prospects: platform teams, IT and security leads, and AI owners.
- Turn what you learn into a clear product strategy, and be honest about what to build, what to pause and what to stop.
- Define the core capabilities: virtual keys, budgets and spend limits, model access policies, usage reporting and audit.
- Consider how the gateway works for self-hosted and Cloud customers. Work closely with engineering and our Cloud team on deployment questions.
- Help define how the enterprise gateway is packaged and sold, together with Sales, Finance and leadership.
LEAD ACROSS TEAMS
- Work with a dedicated engineering team, and with design, as one product team.
- Coordinate with teams that own nearby areas, such as identity and access management, governance, billing and the Cloud experience.
- Keep leadership, Sales and Customer Success informed, and bring them clear recommendations.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST-HAVES
- Experience as a PM for AI infrastructure, developer platforms or LLM tooling (for example AI gateways, model APIs, or AI platform products), or for enterprise admin and governance products (for example access control, policy, spend management or audit).
- Hands-on experience with partner or vendor deals: you have negotiated terms, not only managed relationships.
- A strong grasp of usage-based pricing, unit costs and consumption forecasting.
- Comfort talking with enterprise buyers: platform engineers, security teams and IT leaders.
- Builder mindset: You’re entrepreneurial and hands-on, and you enjoy moving from an ambiguous problem to a prototype, shipped product, and iteration quickly.
- Technical fluency: You’re comfortable reasoning about APIs, integrations, authentication, schemas, data flows, and system constraints and can partner deeply with engineers.
- Data fluency: You can define meaningful success metrics, investigate product behaviour and funnels, and combine quantitative evidence with qualitative insight and product intuition
NICE-TO-HAVES
- You have built or run an LLM gateway or proxy, or worked closely with tools like LiteLLM, Portkey or similar.
- Experience with products that run both self-hosted and as SaaS.
- You’ve built products for technical users and understand what great developer and builder experiences look like.
- You’ve worked on products involving third-party APIs, authentication, developer platforms, or integration ecosystems.
- You’ve built products alongside developer communities, contributors, or external ecosystems.
Why join us?
At n8n, you’ll work on the heart of the product experience - shaping how builders go from an idea to a workflow they trust in production. Your work will influence some of the most fundamental parts of n8n: how people build, connect services, access powerful capabilities, understand what’s happening in their workflows, and scale from simple automation to complex AI-powered systems.
You’ll join n8n at a stage where the product and company are scaling rapidly, but there is still enormous opportunity to define what a world-class automation building experience should feel like. You’ll have the autonomy to identify important problems, work deeply with users and technical teams, and turn ambitious ideas into product experiences people rely on every day.
Sound like a challenge you’re excited to take on?
Apply now - and help us build the future of automation

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're scaling from 1,000 → 4,000 employees across 50+ countries, and the complexity of how we support our people through performance, conflict, and change is growing quickly. Our Employee Relations (ER) Partners protect fairness, consistency, and trust as we grow. You'll own our most sensitive and complex People cases, so that leads can act early.
As an ER Partner at ElevenLabs, you'll lead formal performance processes, investigations, grievances, and disciplinary matters from start to finish, working closely with Legal and outside counsel across many jurisdictions. You'll also coach leads through difficult conversations before they become formal cases, and turn what you see into playbooks, frameworks, and training that reduce risk and case volume over time.
This is our first ER hire. We're building a dedicated ER function, and we want someone who can help shape and build it out: how cases are triaged and escalated, how we work with counsel, and how we measure what's working.
This is a high-impact role for someone who can handle sensitive situations with discretion, make sound judgment calls, and bring clarity and calm to fast-moving environments.
YOU WILL

The Role
As a Lead Software Engineer in Test (SDET) at Nex, you will build the test engineering capability within Platform Software Engineering that helps us ship reliable Nex Playground experiences.
You will define and implement an automated test strategy spanning device software, cloud services, and hardware-integrated systems. From functional and regression testing to sustained device stress and cloud-scale load, you will design and build the tools, practices, and feedback loops that help engineers find problems early and release with confidence. You will lead through technical judgment, hands-on execution, and collaboration, and drive practical AI adoption in your work.
Success Looks Like
Teams can rely on fast, maintainable automated tests to detect meaningful regressions throughout development and release.
Device software, hardware-integrated systems, and cloud services are tested under realistic conditions, including sustained stress and load at scale.
Engineers can see test coverage, reliability trends, and release risks clearly, and use that information to improve products and test effectiveness.
Test tools and methods continuously improve, and platform engineers can design and build more testable systems.
What You'll Do
Test strategy and technical leadership
Own and evolve the automated test strategy for Platform Software Engineering. Prioritize coverage based on product risk and drive a high level of meaningful automated test coverage.
Define test approaches, quality criteria, and release feedback with platform engineers working on device software and cloud services.
Review and improve vendors’ test strategies and coverage, identify gaps, and work with vendors to address them.
Research, evaluate, and develop new testing techniques and tools that improve coverage, speed, and confidence.
Drive responsible, practical AI adoption in test design, automation, analysis, and engineering workflows, while maintaining human judgment and verification.
Automation and test infrastructure
Develop and operationalize functional, stress, and regression testing for software and hardware products, using both software-based and hardware-integrated techniques.
Develop and operationalize cloud service load testing using synthetic workloads and data at scale; identify bottlenecks, failure modes, and regressions.
Design, build, and evolve reusable test frameworks, harnesses, fixtures, and infrastructure that support reliable, repeatable testing across system boundaries.
Keep automated testing integral to CI/CD, with actionable feedback that engineers can use throughout development and release.
Improve product testability through better instrumentation, API design, separation of concerns, and effective use of mock objects and test data.
Define and track metrics, reports, and dashboards that show test coverage, effectiveness, reliability, and trends over time.
Engineering collaboration
Partner with platform engineers to embed quality and testability into design and delivery rather than treating testing as a final gate.
Work with platform engineers to investigate failures, identify root causes, and turn findings into product and test improvements.
Raise the engineering bar through design reviews, technical guidance, mentoring, and sharing test practices, tools, and findings with platform engineers.
Must Have
Experience setting technical direction for test engineering across teams and independently delivering work from strategy through implementation and iteration.
Strong hands-on software engineering skills, with experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks and infrastructure used by engineering teams.
Experience defining and delivering test strategies for complex software systems, including functional, regression, and stress or reliability testing.
Experience testing cloud services under load, including generating representative workloads and data and investigating performance or scalability bottlenecks.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD and improving the reliability, speed, and usefulness of test feedback.
Strong understanding of software design for testability, including instrumentation, APIs, isolation, mocks, and test data.
Experience applying AI tools to engineering and testing workflows, with a thoughtful approach to validation and data security.
Nice to Have
Experience testing connected consumer devices or systems that combine device software, firmware, hardware, and cloud services.
Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing, automated test fixtures, or validation of cameras, sensors, or other hardware modules.
Familiarity with Android/AOSP, embedded systems, or device-level debugging.
Experience with soak, endurance, fault-injection, or other reliability testing techniques.
Experience building products for children and families.
We Offer
Competitive compensation package.
Flexible working hours and vacation policy.
Product-driven culture that treasures talents and individual growth.

The Global Security Operations Engineer is a senior technical role responsible for strengthening the firm's ability to detect, investigate, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity threats across its global environment.
Working as part of the Global Security operations team, the successful candidate will lead complex security investigations, develop and optimize threat detection capabilities, and implement automation to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of security operations.
The role combines hands-on incident response with proactive security engineering, helping the firm move from reactive alert management toward an increasingly automated, intelligence-led security operating model.
Operating within a geographically distributed organization, the successful candidate will work closely with global and regional technology and security teams, provide technical leadership during significant incidents, and contribute to the continuous improvement of security capabilities. Based in APAC, the role will provide critical regional coverage as part of a coordinated global security operations function.
Responsibilities
Advanced Investigation and Incident Response

Conduct detailed investigations to establish initial access vectors, attacker activities and objectives, scope of compromise, and dwell time, documenting findings to an appropriate evidentiary standard.

Act as technical lead during significant incidents across containment, eradication, and recovery, coordinating activities across global and regional teams.
Conduct host and network forensics and malware triage, engaging specialist forensic providers where investigations exceed internal capabilities.
Translate technical findings into clear statements of business risk for leadership and drive post-incident corrective actions through to closure.

Participate in an on-call rotation and provide out-of-hours escalation support during serious incidents, and undertake additional projects and activities as required.
Security Automation & Detection Engineering
Design, build, tune, and maintain detection content mapped to the MITRE ATT&CK framework, identifying and reporting coverage gaps against threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures relevant to the firm.
Reduce false-positive volume and analyst alert fatigue through systematic tuning, suppression logic, and automated alert enrichment.
Operationalize threat intelligence by translating reporting and indicators of compromise into actionable detections, threat-hunting hypotheses, and preventive controls.
Design, develop, and maintain automated response playbooks, including Logic Apps, automation rules, and SOAR workflows, to reduce mean time to detect and respond.
Write and maintain queries, scripts, and code (KQL, PowerShell, Python, or equivalent) supporting detection, enrichment, automated triage, and reporting.
Integrate security tooling and data sources through APIs and connectors, including onboarding new log sources with appropriate parsing, normalization, and validation.
Continuously assess and improve security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities, identifying opportunities to strengthen coverage, reduce operational complexity, and improve effectiveness through automation and technology optimization.
Identify opportunities to apply AI-assisted investigation, alert triage, and security automation capabilities to improve detection effectiveness, reduce manual effort, and accelerate incident response.
Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify suspicious activity, validate detection effectiveness, and uncover threats that may evade existing security controls.
Requirements
This is a hands-on technical role requiring demonstrated depth in security operations, sound technical judgment, and the ability to work with limited supervision. We value analytical rigor, curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to share knowledge and develop others as highly as any individual technology or certification.
Compulsory Requirements:
5+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or detection engineering, including demonstrable experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
Proven experience leading complex technical investigations end to end, from escalation through root cause analysis to documented remediation.
Deep, hands-on expertise with modern SIEM and endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms, including authoring and optimizing detection logic, conducting investigations, and managing data onboarding.
Strong practical automation and scripting abilities, including KQL and at least one of PowerShell or Python, with demonstrated experience developing and operating automation in production.
Experience designing and maintaining automated response playbooks using Logic Apps, automation rules, or comparable SOAR capabilities.
Advanced knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, Cyber Kill Chain analysis, and established incident response methodologies, such as PICERL.
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP and networking, Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, Entra cloud identity and authentication, and security operations across cloud and hybrid environments.
Experience with host and network forensics, malware triage, and the analysis of malicious email headers, links, and attachments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical findings and security risks to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams, with flexibility to provide out-of-hours support during significant security incidents.
Occasional travel to support global cybersecurity operations and incident response may be required
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Industry certifications such as GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GREM, OSCP, CySA+, SC-200, AZ-500, or CISSP.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Azure.

You have experience litigating and/or counseling on compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination, harassment, and retaliation laws, ideally including analysis under California law. Prior in-house or seconded experience at a technology company is a plus, but not required. You’re an entrepreneurial, resourceful self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, builds strong relationships, and is curious about supporting a global workforce.

As Legal Counsel, Employment, you’ll:

- Investigate and manage pre-litigation and litigation matters. Build and carry out strategies for early resolution where it makes sense, and partner with outside counsel when needed.
- Interpret and advise on policies and procedures using your knowledge of state, federal, and international employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRA, Title VII, and their state and international equivalents). Turn them into guidance people can actually use.
