About the role
We’re looking for a Director of Operations to lead the operational function supporting our growing global business.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for building the processes, systems and operating infrastructure needed to deliver a seamless customer experience at scale. You’ll sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, ICT & Security, Compliance, Support and the wider business, ensuring our day-to-day operations are efficient, resilient and ready to support continued growth.
The role combines Group-wide operational leadership with specific regulatory responsibilities within our Irish regulated entity, Push Virtual Assets Ireland Ltd. The successful candidate will be expected to obtain approval from the Central Bank of Ireland to perform the Pre-Approval Controlled Function of Chief Operating Officer (PCF-42) and undertake responsibilities associated with Controlled Function CF-8 (Complaints Adjudication).
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our regulated operations meet applicable regulatory requirements, while developing proportionate and scalable operational frameworks for the wider business. This requires someone who understands how to balance operational efficiency, customer experience and innovation with the governance, accountability and controls expected of a regulated financial services business.
Given the nature of our products, you’ll help ensure we maintain a high bar for operational excellence while meeting the requirements expected of a regulated financial services business.
How you can make an impact:
Develop and scale the operational strategy, structure and processes required to support a growing global business and customer base without compromising quality, controls or customer experience
Assume responsibility for the operational management of Push Virtual Assets Ireland Ltd in the capacity of PCF-42, ensuring effective oversight of its day-to-day operations, operational risks, controls and regulatory obligations.
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and operational risks, implementing processes and systems that improve reliability, speed and quality of execution
Ensure we deliver a consistently high-quality customer experience across key operational touchpoints, from onboarding through to ongoing support and issue resolution
Own the Group’s complaints management framework, ensuring complaints are appropriately identified, investigated, escalated and resolved, with specific responsibility for complaints adjudication within the Irish regulated entity in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to use tooling, automation and AI to reduce manual processes, improve efficiency and create better experiences for both customers and internal teams
Define and monitor operational KPIs, identifying trends, risks and opportunities and translating data into clear actions and priorities
Bring operational and customer insights into product development, helping identify friction points, improve customer journeys and ensure operational readiness for new products and launches
Own relationships and performance across relevant operational vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet our standards for quality, reliability and customer
Partner closely with Compliance and Legal to ensure operational processes and customer outcomes meet applicable regulatory requirements
Work with ICT & Security to oversee operational resilience, incident management and business continuity arrangements, working closely with relevant teams to ensure operational risks and incidents are appropriately identified, managed, escalated and remediated.
Hire, coach and develop a high-performing Operations organisation with a strong culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
Provide operational reporting and management information to executive leadership and relevant Boards, ensuring appropriate visibility of operational performance, customer outcomes, incidents, complaints and material risks.
Let’s connect if you have:
You have 8+ years of experience in Operations, Customer Operations, Business Operations or a related function, with meaningful experience in a senior leadership role
You’ve built or scaled operations within a high-growth consumer technology, fintech or financial services business
You have experience operating across regulated and unregulated business activities, with an understanding of how operational requirements, governance and controls differ depending on the nature of the business
You have experience delivering customer experiences at scale, with a strong understanding of how operations, technology and support come together across the customer journey
You have a track record of designing processes and operating models that can scale with significant customer and transaction growth
You understand how to use technology, automation and AI to improve operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary manual work
You’re highly data-driven and comfortable establishing KPIs, analysing performance and using data to prioritise improvements
You have experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance and other cross-functional teams
You have a strong understanding of the operational and governance requirements applicable to regulated financial services businesses, including customer complaints, operational risk management and regulatory accountability.
You have experience being a PCF-42 or a similar regulated position
Experience within crypto or Web3 is strongly preferred, particularly within consumer-facing products, but isn’t essential
Haven’t quite met all the criteria? Let’s not miss out on the chance to speak. Whilst you might not meet every single requirement, you might bring other, more exciting skills to the companies!

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
Program Overview
Some of our world's grand challenges, from resolving long-open problems in mathematics to designing medicines for neglected diseases, require deep expert judgment that today's AI still lacks. We're working toward an AI scientist, a system capable of the long-horizon reasoning and experimental judgment needed to push the frontier on problems like these. We believe frontier AI, developed safely, can meaningfully accelerate progress across science and engineering. Getting there requires close collaboration with people who have spent years at the frontier of their fields.
The Anthropic STEM Fellows Program brings researchers and experts from across science and engineering into Anthropic for four months to take on the grand challenges of their fields with Claude. Working in small pods of Fellows from related fields, you will pair deep domain expertise with our frontier models and internal tooling to define the hardest open problems in your discipline, build the datasets and simulations that let us test and train Claude on them, and find exactly where it falls short.
We're looking for Fellows across science and engineering. Prior machine learning experience is helpful but not required. Scientific judgment and a willingness to learn quickly matter more.
Our first cohort of more than 20 STEM Fellows across mathematics, physics, the life sciences, and engineering, ran from June to September 2026. The problems they built now feed Claude's training and one of our internal science evaluations.
What to Expect:
A place in a small pod of Fellows working on related problems in your domain. Your pod meets weekly with Anthropic researchers to share methods, pressure-test ideas, and build on each other's work.
A grand challenge at the frontier of your field: an ambitious, open-ended problem scoped with our research team so you can make real progress in four months.
Access to frontier Claude models and internal evaluation tooling.
Compensation:
$100,000–$167,000 USD for the four-month fellowship (equivalent to $300,000–$500,000 USD annualized), and other benefits.
Key responsibilities
Setting grand challenges for your field: identifying long-horizon open problems where Claude falls short of expert judgment, and defining what real progress on them looks like.
Building comprehensive datasets, simulations and rigorous, hard-to-game evaluations that test whether models can plan experiments, interpret data and reason about mechanisms, and systematically finding where they're confidently wrong.
Applying Claude to open problems in your domain, using test-time compute strategies and integrating the scientific tools and software your field relies on.
Minimum qualifications
Are excited about the potential for AI to reason well about hard questions in their field where expert judgment matters.
Hands-on experience using Claude and Claude Code in your day-to-day workflow.
Hold a PhD in a STEM field and have several years of experience (eg post-doc or faculty).
Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-agency atmosphere for a few months and delivering concrete results.
Existing authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the program.
Logistics - Fellows
The program runs from
January 12th to May 8th 2027
, and is full-time for the duration; some fellowships may be considered for an extension.
Applications are open until October 28, 2026
, and we plan to make offers by November 20th. Later stages will typically include a take-home exercise and conversations with our research team about your research interests and possible project directions.
We ask that all Fellows attend a one-week in-person orientation in San Francisco.
The default location is in San Francisco. We will consider remote engagements within the United States in certain circumstances.
We are
not
currently able to sponsor visas for fellows. To participate in the Fellows program, you need to have or independently obtain full-time work authorization in the United States.
This is a fixed-term contract position. Fellows are engaged through an employer of record, rather than employed directly by Anthropic.
The below are Anthropic's policies for full time roles. These do NOT apply to the Fellows Program.
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit
anthropic.com/careers
directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
We are looking for strong engineers with experience and interest in designing, building, and maintaining the novel, high-performance systems that make up our serverless platform.
Specifically, you’ll be working on the distributed object storage system that underpins every container image, volume, and checkpoint on Modal: hundreds of petabytes of data, replicated across multiple cloud object stores and a CDN, cached on local NVMe across a large fleet of workers in many datacenters, and shared peer-to-peer within each datacenter.
You’ll make cold starts feel local when the data is hundreds of milliseconds away, designing the caching, preloading, and peer-to-peer layers that hide object-store latency and keep public ingress off saturated uplinks. You’ll own durability and cost at petabyte scale, from streaming and batch replication between origins to garbage collection over billions of objects. You’ll work across the stack, from local disk and page cache to distributed blob storage and garbage collection, and you’ll help shape what storage becomes next as we push storage closer to workloads.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
- Build P2P sharing of data across workers within a single datacenter to dramatically reduce ingress
- Replicate data across multiple blob storage providers
- Automate garbage collection across hundreds of petabytes of data
- Deploy colocated storage clusters to datacenters to accelerate high-throughput customer workloads
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You have 5+ years of experience writing high-quality production code
- You’ve built high-performance distributed storage or caching systems at a large scale (the more challenges you’ve worked through, the better)
- You have strong cloud skills, including deep familiarity with object storage (S3 or similar), CDNs, and their consistency, throughput, and cost characteristics
- You have strong knowledge of low-level operating system foundations (Linux kernel, file systems, page cache, containers, etc.)
- You’re willing to step into the thick of it with our on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience with replication, content addressing, and consistency models in multi-region or multi-cloud systems
- Experience operating storage systems at scale (petabyte-scale datasets, high-throughput read/write paths, large-scale garbage collection or data migration)
- Experience with data engineering at petabyte scale
- Prior experience with Rust

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
We’re hiring a Senior Commercial Counsel to be a core member of Sierra’s legal team. We are looking for someone who has deep expertise in commercial contracts, but also someone who is also eager to broaden their scope across IP, regulatory, and product. You will thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy tackling challenges beyond your comfort zone, and be excited to contribute across the business. In return, we’ll provide the support and opportunities you need to grow and excel as a lawyer. You’ll be part of a legal team that is highly respected within both the company and the broader legal industry—committed to excellence, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact.
- Commercial Contracting: Structure, negotiate and advise on all commercial contracts, including SaaS subscription agreements, technology licenses, professional services agreements, channel partner agreement, vendor agreements and NDAs. Commercial privacy and security contracting experience (e.g., DPAs, BAAs, security agreements) is a plus.
- Operational Excellence: Help build out our commercial function to be best in class. We aim to be the fastest and strongest, where the legal team is the differentiator in the contract lifecycle. You will be developing templates, playbooks, and workflows to drive efficiency and scalability.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of practice areas that underpin the commercial practice, including contract law, IP and privacy. We're proud of what we've built — and we're just getting started. Read our Culture Manual https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/culture and learn more about how we work https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/careers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role owns the partnerships that bring new clients to Wealthsimple. Every motion you own ladders up to one goal, customer acquisition, across both digital and real-world channels: partner-driven acquisition campaigns, referral partnerships that feed our business banking line, and brand and experiential sponsorships that let us acquire customers in person. The job is to turn partners and campaigns into net-new clients and deposits, and to convert our brand presence into people walking in the door, wherever they already are. You'll source, negotiate, and activate these partnerships end to end, and you'll build a lot of it from scratch. This is a builder's seat for a growth-minded commercial operator who thinks about acquisition wherever it happens, online or IRL.
IN THIS ROLE YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Drive acquisition campaigns with partners, including monthly millionaire: secure partner funding and co-marketing, and source smaller campaign partners to power specific moments.
- Own referral partnerships for the business banking line end to end: source, sign, and drive the channel partners that send us new business clients and deposits.
- Lead commercial negotiations from first outreach to signed terms, landing terms that work for both our clients and the business.
- Own the acquisition targets: net-new funded clients and deposits from referral partners, campaign performance, and sponsorship reach and ROI.
- Partner cross-functionally with Growth, Brand, PMM, and Business Banking Product to activate every partnership well and measure its impact.
SKILLS YOU'LL BRING:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in partnerships, business development, or growth roles in banking or customer-focused industries.
- Negotiation and commercial ownership. A master negotiator with a track record of driving commercial and acquisition outcomes and turning partnerships into measurable growth.
- A growth and acquisition orientation. You've turned partnerships or campaigns into measurable client acquisition, online and in person, and you think in funnels, not just relationships.
- Channel or referral partnership experience. You've built or run a referral or channel pipeline that produced real, attributable results.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with real comfort in CAC, LTV, and attribution.
- A strong network in Canada (and ideally the US) across relevant commercial, tech, and community ecosystems.
- A 0-to-1 operator with high urgency, strong ownership, and a bias for action.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Brand experiential marketing experience, especially activations built to drive real-world customer acquisition, including agency and rights-holder relationships.
- Business banking or SMB acquisition experience.
- Product partnerships experience as it pertains to integrated referrals.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on impact and outcomes.

THE ROLE
Checkout.com http://Checkout.com is looking for an enthusiastic Engineer I to join Finance Technology with a focus on Workday Adaptive Planning. Adaptive Planning supports finance, workforce, sales, and operational planning, giving teams a shared platform for budgeting, forecasting, modelling, reporting, and decision-making.
This is an early-career engineering role for someone who wants to build depth in finance systems, application configuration, data integration, and operational support. You will work with Finance, Finance Technology, Data, and wider Corporate Technology teams to keep planning processes reliable, well-controlled, and easy to operate.
You will have support from more senior engineers for complex design decisions, but you will be expected to work independently for longer periods on well-defined configuration, integration, support, and continuous-improvement tasks. This reflects Checkout’s Engineer 1 expectations: delivering small-to-medium-sized work, supporting common operational flows, communicating clearly, and taking ownership of the quality of what you deliver.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Configure, maintain, and enhance Adaptive Planning models, dimensions, versions, levels, accounts, sheets, reports, dashboards, and planning workflows under appropriate guidance.
- Support the delivery of budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, scenario modelling, and management reporting capabilities for Finance and business stakeholders.
- Build and support data loads and integrations between Adaptive Planning, Workday Financials, Workday HCM, and other approved internal or third-party systems.
- Maintain data mappings, transformation rules, validation checks, and reconciliation processes so that planning data is complete, accurate, and traceable.
- Monitor scheduled loads and integration tasks, investigate failures, and resolve common data or configuration issues within agreed service levels.
- Triage incidents and service requests, identifying root causes and escalating complex or high-risk issues with clear evidence and recommended next steps.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into maintainable system configuration, reporting, or integration changes.
- Contribute to the assessment and delivery of future analytics data flows, including the potential use of Adaptive Planning data in BigQuery and management analytics.
- Participate in testing, regression testing, release preparation, and controlled deployment of Adaptive Planning changes.
- Follow change-control, access-management, data-quality, and audit requirements relevant to financial systems and planning data.
- Create clear documentation, support guides, data dictionaries, integration runbooks, and knowledge-base articles so that operational knowledge is shared rather than held by one person.
- Identify recurring manual work or failure patterns and propose practical automation and process improvements.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Experience in a finance systems, enterprise applications, data, reporting, or integration environment.
- Practical experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, or strong experience with a comparable planning, performance-management, ERP, or finance application and a clear ability to learn Adaptive quickly.
- Understanding of core finance planning concepts such as budgets, forecasts, actuals, variance analysis, allocations, dimensions, hierarchies, and scenarios.
- Experience configuring or supporting structured data models, application workflows, reports, dashboards, or business rules.
- Ability to work with data imports, exports, mappings, transformations, validations, and reconciliations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to break down an issue, gather evidence, identify likely causes, and communicate findings clearly.
- Good attention to detail and an understanding of why accuracy, access control, auditability, and repeatability matter in finance systems.
- Ability to manage small-to-medium-sized tasks independently while knowing when to ask for help or escalate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Finance and Technology stakeholders.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Workday Adaptive Planning certification or implementation experience.
- Experience with Adaptive Planning Integration, Planning Data Loader, APIs, or equivalent enterprise planning integration tooling.
- Experience integrating planning systems with Workday Financials, Workday HCM, an ERP, a data warehouse, or a reporting platform.
- Familiarity with SOX controls, financial audit requirements, data privacy, and segregation of duties.
- Experience supporting month-end, budget, forecast, or management-reporting cycles.
- Exposure to Agile delivery, ticket-driven change management, incident management, or service-management practices.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
After the first 6–12 months, you will be able to:
- Support common Adaptive Planning configuration, data-load, and reporting requests with limited supervision.
- Diagnose and resolve routine integration or data-quality issues using a structured troubleshooting approach.
- Deliver small-to-medium-sized enhancements from requirement clarification through testing, documentation, and controlled release.
- Explain key planning data flows, mappings, dependencies, and operational controls to Finance and Technology colleagues.
- Improve the reliability or efficiency of at least one recurring planning or finance-technology process.
- Maintain accurate, useful documentation and contribute positively to team ceremonies, reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
WORKING STYLE AND BEHAVIOURS
We are looking for someone who:
- Takes ownership of tasks and follows through on commitments.
- Acts with urgency and accountability when issues affect Finance or business reporting.
- Is curious about how finance processes, data, and technology fit together.
- Communicates clearly, especially when explaining risk, blockers, trade-offs, or support impact.
- Welcomes feedback and actively develops their technical and domain knowledge.
- Collaborates generously and shares knowledge so the team does not depend on a single subject-matter expert.
- Looks for durable automation and simpler operating processes rather than repeatedly working around the same manual problem.
WHY JOIN FINANCE TECHNOLOGY?
You will work on systems that sit at the centre of how Checkout.com http://Checkout.com plans, forecasts, reports, and makes financial decisions. The role offers the opportunity to develop a broad foundation across enterprise applications, finance processes, integrations, data quality, controls, and automation while working closely with experienced Finance and Technology professionals.
