Engineering Manager, Production Engineering - Observability
An overview of this role
You'll lead the globally distributed Observability team. The team builds and operates the metrics, logging, alerting, and capacity planning platforms that GitLab engineers use to understand
GitLab.com
and GitLab Dedicated. You'll help determine how the team collects, stores, queries, and acts on telemetry, balancing reliable signals with scale and cost.
In your first year, you'll guide improvements to Prometheus-based metrics pipelines, log ingestion and retention, alerting driven by service-level objectives (SLOs), and capacity forecasting. You'll work with Site Reliability Engineering, Product Engineering, and other Infrastructure Platforms teams to make it easier for engineers to observe the services they own. You'll also take part in incident response and help keep the team's on-call work sustainable.
What you’ll do
Lead, hire, onboard, and develop a distributed engineering team working asynchronously.
Set priorities with Site Reliability Engineering, Product Engineering, and GitLab Dedicated teams, and help the team deliver observability services iteratively.
Own the reliability, scalability, and cost of the team's metrics, logging, alerting, and capacity planning platforms.
Reduce noisy or missing alerts and telemetry gaps, and use SLOs, error budgets, and self-service instrumentation to help engineers maintain the health of their services.
Guide technical decisions about time-series storage, high-cardinality metrics, log pipelines, and distributed tracing.
Participate in the Incident Manager On Call (IMOC) rotation, coordinating the response to high-severity incidents affecting
GitLab.com
.
Keep the team's on-call rotation sustainable through coverage across time zones, useful runbooks, better alerts, and follow-through on post-incident actions.
Use AI tools and agents to support engineering workflows and incident triage, reviewing their output while engineers retain responsibility for decisions.
What you’ll bring
Experience leading an observability, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering team operating at scale, including supporting people in a distributed, asynchronous environment.
Technical knowledge of metrics systems such as Prometheus and long-term storage, logging platforms such as Elasticsearch or cloud-native services, and alerting design.
Experience using SLOs, error budgets, and capacity forecasts to make reliability and investment decisions.
Experience operating a large software-as-a-service platform and investigating production issues such as telemetry gaps, ingestion limits, or noisy and missing alerts.
Experience participating in and improving production on-call rotations, including incident coordination and balancing operational load with project work.
The ability to explain technical tradeoffs to engineering partners and other stakeholders.
Experience using AI tools or agents in engineering or management work; you can describe how you would apply them to operational problems such as incident triage.
We welcome different paths into this role, whether through practical experience, formal study, or transferable skills. If the work interests you, please apply even if you don't meet every qualification.
About the team
We're part of Production Engineering within Infrastructure Platforms and work asynchronously across regions. Our tools include Tamland, the capacity forecasting tool. We bring lessons from operating GitLab's production systems back into the platforms we build.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.

You will partner with marketing leaders, Finance, Marketing Operations, GTM Strategy, and Analytics to answer high-impact questions, improve how performance is measured, and make reliable insights easier to access. ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
Ramp is building institutional partnerships with top global strategy consulting firms that shape finance transformation and technology decisions for the CFOs and CEOs we serve. These firms influence clients before a buying process begins, advise on the operating and technology decisions that define transformation programs, and can help clients move from strategy to live operational capability.
Ramp has an opportunity to build relationships that create value for the firm, its clients, and Ramp, across executive engagement, thought leadership, co-sell, and shared client work. This role will own those relationships and turn them into an institutional go-to-market motion: building credibility with firm leadership, identifying the right client and practice wedges, developing firm-specific plans, leveraging Ramp’s data to amplify firms’ thought leadership, and creating repeatable paths to joint client outcomes.
This is a build from the ground up. Ramp's relationships across this ecosystem are early and largely informal today, and this person will be responsible for the relationship, the partnership thesis, and the operating motion that makes a firm a meaningful Ramp partner over time. It is a broader remit than a typical partnerships role.
What You'll Do
- Own Ramp's relationships with a portfolio of top-tier strategy and advisory firms (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG), serving as the primary relationship owner and building credibility with senior firm leadership
- Turn executive introductions into structured partnerships, developing the partnership thesis, relationship map, executive sponsor plan, target practices and client wedge for each firm
- Negotiate and close the first formal agreements between Ramp and these firms
- Build market-facing proof points with Ramp's leadership, marketing and product teams, including executive events, thought leadership and shared client stories
- Coordinate execution across Ramp, bringing the right Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Product, AI Solutions and executive sponsors into each firm relationship
- Establish and maintain the operating cadence: relationship maps, firm plans, account maps and next steps
What You Need
- 4+ years of experience at a leading strategy consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG)
- Exceptional executive presence. You can hold a room with senior leaders, earn trust quickly, and be trusted to represent Ramp in meetings without support
- Proven ability to run many work streams and complicated stakeholder management
- A builder's instinct. You are energized by an empty page, comfortable without a playbook, and bring structure to ambiguity
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and the judgment to calibrate between an executive conversation and a working session
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% and to be based in a major metro. New York preferred
BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL)
- Flexible PTO
- Centralized home-office equipment ordering
- Health and wellness stipend
- Budget for intra-office travel
- Weekly coffee stipend
UNITED STATES
- 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you, with partial coverage for dependents
- One Medical annual membership
- 401(k), including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp
- Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year)
- Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay
- Pet insurance
- In-office perks: lunch, snacks, drinks, and more
- Relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF (if needed)
CANADA
- Group medical, dental, and vision coverage through Sun Life
- Life, AD&D, and disability coverage
- Fertility drug coverage (up to $4,000 lifetime)
- Group Retirement Plan with employer match (RRSP + DPSP)

- Employee Assistance Program and virtual care through Lumino Health
UNITED KINGDOM
- Private medical insurance through Freedom Elite
- Virtual GP and at-home care via eMed x Livi
- Workplace pension through Penfold, with salary sacrifice option

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
Ramp is building institutional partnerships with the GSI (Global System Integrators), Big-Four consulting firms, and global advisory firms that shape finance transformation, ERP modernization, and technology decisions for the CFOs and finance leaders we serve. These organizations are often in the room when enterprise clients are redesigning their finance stack, selecting technology, or moving from strategy into implementation.
This portfolio spans the largest global professional services firms (e.g., Deloitte) and GSIs (e.g., Infosys). They are complex organizations with distinct service lines (e.g., ERP, Tech Modernization, Finance Transformation) each with its own leadership, incentives, and economics, so earning credibility inside one is as much about navigating the firm as it is about the relationship.
This role will own Ramp's relationship with that network of firms, building firm-specific go-to-market motions that can include executive engagement, account mapping, co-sell, implementation alignment, thought leadership, and events. Ramp's relationships here are early and largely informal today, so this person will be responsible for the relationship, the partnership thesis, and the operating motion that makes a firm a meaningful Ramp partner over time.
What You'll Do
- Own Ramp's relationships with a portfolio of the largest global professional services, GSIs, and consulting firms, serving as the primary relationship owner
- Map each firm and build credibility with the partners, practice leaders, alliance teams and client-service teams who matter most
- Turn executive introductions into structured partnerships, developing the partnership thesis, executive sponsor plan, target practices and client wedge for each firm
- 6+ years of experience in consulting, alliances, partnerships or an adjacent role. Time inside a top-tier professional services or global consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte) is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional executive presence. You can hold a room with senior leaders, earn trust quickly, and be trusted to represent Ramp in meetings without support
- Fluency in how large, matrixed professional services firms actually work, including how practices are incentivized and how a technology partner earns internal endorsement
- Proven ability to run many workstreams and complex stakeholder management
- A builder's instinct. You are energized by an empty page, comfortable without a playbook, and bring structure to ambiguity
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and the judgment to calibrate between an executive conversation and a working session

About the Role
We are looking for a Distinguished Engineer to lead technical direction across GitLab's Core DevOps services, the systems the majority of our users touch every day. Distinguished Engineers are recognized experts across multiple technology domains and represent the most senior level of technical leadership within and across divisions at the company.
Core DevOps builds continuous Integration, continuous deployment, planning, and source control experiences. These are among the most mature, highest traffic, and most deeply interconnected systems at GitLab. They carry years of accumulated architectural decisions, they sit in the critical path of our customers' own delivery pipelines, and they are being reshaped by the shift toward AI native development. The job is to raise their quality, converge them onto a coherent go-forward architecture, and retire accumulated risk, all without interrupting the millions of users and Fortune 100 organizations who depend on them.
GitLab is pursuing a set of company-wide engineering goals: large gains in developer productivity, measurably higher quality in what we ship, and engineering practices reshaped around AI and agentic workflows. Core DevOps is where much of that strategy has to land, because these are the services our own engineers and our customers depend on daily. In this role you will bring that strategy into Core DevOps in a form that works for long lived production systems, and carry what you learn here back out to the rest of engineering.
What You'll Do
Set and continuously refine the go forward technical direction for CI, CD, Plan, and source code experiences, aligned against the horizontal architectural initiatives.
Work directly with the VP of Engineering as her technical counterpart on planning, technical investment, and where the group's engineering effort should go.
Translate GitLab's company-wide productivity, quality, and AI native engineering goals into concrete technical direction for Core DevOps, and turn into iterable roadmaps, partnering broadly across the org.
Define what good means in measurable terms for these services, including availability, latency at p95 and p99, pipeline success rate, test reliability, data correctness, and defect escape rate, then hold designs and implementations to it.
Maintain a clear and current picture of systemic technical risk across the group, including single points of failure, unowned critical paths, brittle coupling between CI/CD and Plan, scaling limits, and past decisions that now constrain the roadmap. Drive a prioritized plan to retire it.
Lead the hardest design decisions hands on, writing code, prototypes, and proofs of concept where a design argument needs evidence behind it.
Drive convergence on shared patterns, libraries, and paved paths, reducing how many different ways the same problem gets solved across the group.
Design migration paths that let large, long lived systems change underneath users without breaking them, using incremental cutover, dual run, measurable rollback, and deprecation with clear timelines.
Adopt the platform capabilities coming from GitLab's AI organization and the company's productivity initiatives into Core DevOps, feed this group's requirements back into them, and help prove what works on systems of this scale and maturity.
Serve as the escalation point for complex or contested technical decisions across the group, including those where no single team owns the outcome.
Review significant designs and merge requests in the group's critical paths, and use review to teach rather than only to gate.
Ensure designs hold across GitLab.com, GitLab Dedicated, and Self-Managed deployments, and respect multi-tenant, compliance, and data governance boundaries in each.
Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and SRE so Core DevOps services are observable and debuggable, and so failure modes degrade gracefully instead of cascading.
Make architectural constraints and opportunities clear to Product in roadmap terms, so that technical investment and product ambition get planned together instead of traded off late.

Grow Principal and Staff Engineers across Core DevOps, raise the bar on design rigor and technical writing, and contribute to the technical hiring bar for senior individual contributors.
Participate in the Incident Management on-call rotation to help meet availability goals for GitLab.com, and complete Interview Training to participate in hiring as a technical interviewer or panel member.
What You'll Bring
10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a Staff, Principal, or equivalent senior technical leadership role.

Proven track record of leading hands-on technical experimentation, including defining evaluation frameworks, running benchmarks, and translating findings into scalable architecture decisions.
Strong background in scalable, multi-tenant distributed systems, including service decomposition, fault tolerance, observability, and operational resilience.
Experience designing and implementing human-in-the-loop controls, safety guardrails, and responsible AI practices for production systems.
Experience mentoring senior engineers and influencing technical direction across multiple teams or divisions without direct authority.

As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on both companies' strengths while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.

to join our Order Operations & Monetization team. This role restores dedicated capacity for pricing and order operations testing, quote-to-cash (QTC) release validation, and order execution support.
You’ll help ensure system changes are tested, validated, and operationally ready before they go live. You’ll provide Pricing and Order Operations subject-matter expertise and execute assigned business validation across signature packets, bookings, marketplace offers, and booking-to-order management handoffs. This role partners closely with Order Operations & Monetization, IT’s business systems team, Pricing Operations, Sales, and Deal Desk.
Reporting & Prioritization
Reports to the Order Operations & Monetization lead, Jamie Calkins.
The Senior Pricing Operations Manager may help prioritize pricing-related test cases and QTC issues tied specifically to pricing and quoting.
The Order Operations & Monetization lead owns final prioritization of the analyst’s workload across order operations, assigned non-pricing UAT participation, and pricing-related support work.
This is a hybrid role, 1-2 days in the office.
Technologies You’ll Use
Salesforce CPQ
Jira
Suger and marketplace user interfaces, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake

What You’ll Do
Pricing Operations & QTC Support
Support pricing operations changes through business requirement review, data validation, configuration checks, and documentation, helping ensure pricing logic is accurately reflected in QTC workflows.
Validate pricing-related QTC changes across quoting, approvals, discounting logic, product configuration, and downstream order execution.
Help confirm that pricing changes are operationally ready before launch, including impacts to Sales, Deal Desk, Order Operations, Billing, Revenue, and marketplace workflows.
Partner with the Senior Pricing Operations Manager to prioritize pricing-related test cases, identify gaps in business requirements, and document expected system behavior.
Help maintain documentation for pricing- and order-related system configurations, known dependencies, and release-readiness criteria.
UAT & Testing
Participate as a Pricing and Order Operations subject-matter expert in UAT project-managed by Technical Program Management (TPM) and executed under RevOps coordination, ensuring relevant business scenarios and expected outcomes are represented.
Execute assigned Pricing and Order Operations test cases and collaborate with the GTM subject-matter experts identified by RevOps.
Partner with RevOps and relevant subject-matter experts to develop and maintain Pricing and Order Operations test cases, including scenarios for quoting, approvals, signature packets, bookings, marketplace offers, billing, and order management.
Document test results and defects with clear traceability from business requirement to test outcome, and provide domain-specific readiness input through the established UAT sign-off process.
Maintain the Pricing and Order Operations portion of the regression test suite for recurring QTC changes.
Order Operations
Operate under defined business requirements for order operations rules within the QTC flow, validating execution across signature packet generation and e-signature routing, booking rules, marketplace offer configuration—including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake—and the booking-to-order management handoff.
Partner with IT’s business systems team and the Proposal-to-Order Lead to keep order operations rules aligned with upstream pricing and quoting logic and downstream billing and revenue systems.
Ensure signature packets and marketplace offers accurately reflect the underlying order and pricing terms before execution.
Identify and troubleshoot order operations issues across bookings, signature packets, and marketplace offers, escalating systemic problems to the appropriate system owner.
Skills We’re Looking For
2–3 years of experience in pricing operations, order operations, business systems analysis, or quality assurance within an agile environment, ideally involving quote-to-cash processes.
Working knowledge of Salesforce CPQ and order management or billing systems, with the ability to read and understand configuration logic without necessarily building it directly.
Strong attention to detail and comfort performing structured, repeatable testing work.
Comfort using conversational AI tools—such as Claude, ChatGPT, or internal chatbots—to support daily and project work, combined with sound judgment about when human review or decision-making is necessary.
Clear written communication skills, with the ability to document test cases, defects, and sign-off criteria for technical and business audiences.
A proactive, organized approach, with the ability to work across IT, Pricing and Order Operations, and Sales and Deal Desk with minimal oversight.

Wrike is the most powerful work management platform. Built for teams and organizations looking to collaborate, create, and exceed every day, Wrike brings everyone and all work into a single place to remove complexity, increase productivity, and free people up to focus on their most purposeful work.
Wrike is our people, not a place. As a distributed team, we own our growth, stay globally connected, and rely on the product we build to deliver impactful work alongside brilliant minds. You'll have real ownership over meaningful work, a global team that has your back, and the flexibility to do your best work your way. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
Our vision:
A world where everyone is free to focus on their most purposeful work, together.
About the Role:
You'll help build the very AI-powered platform you use every day, with real autonomy over the features you ship. As an Engineering Manager at Wrike, you will lead a cross-functional team to deliver high‑impact product and platform initiatives. You’ll combine strong technical acumen with people leadership, process excellence, and product thinking to drive timely and measurable business outcomes. In this role, you will own results end‑to‑end – from discovery and planning through execution, rollout, and continuous improvement – while helping your team grow and do the best work of their careers.
Your Impact:
Go beyond formal execution by shaping and building product experiences that matter to customers, using metrics (e.g., customer value, adoption, reliability, and quality) to measure impact.
Own projects end‑to‑end: discovery and solutioning in partnership with product and design, planning and sequencing, execution, release preparation and launch, post-release follow-ups and maintenance.
Partner with product to define, communicate, and track team goals/OKRs aligned with product and company strategy.
Make thoughtful prioritization and trade‑off decisions between scope, quality, and speed.
Lead planning, estimation, and phased rollouts for large, cross‑functional projects and customer‑impacting changes.
Improve how the team works by evolving processes, tools, and collaboration patterns, including using AI/automation to increase efficiency and value.
Partner closely with Product Management and Design as part of an effective “triad” to deliver customer‑centric solutions.
Your Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant industry experience (engineering, technical leadership, and/or management).
3+ years of management experience, including leading cross‑functional teams.
Proven track record of delivering measurable results (e.g., business impact, customer satisfaction, technical metrics (improved performance, reliability, quality, etc.), delivery metrics (team throughput, etc.).
Experience giving direct, timely feedback and handling difficult conversations with clarity and empathy.
Solid engineering background with the ability to “speak the language” of engineers, review designs, ask the right technical questions and challenge decisions and estimations.
Experience with planning, prioritization, and execution of complex customer-facing projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to tailor messages to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Experience in setting team goals and using metrics to manage and improve team performance.
Strong track record in coaching, career development, and performance management.
Proficiency with agile development practices and iterative delivery.
Strong business and product sense: ability to connect technical work to customer value and company strategy.
Standout Qualities:
Demonstrated success hiring, developing, and retaining high‑performing engineers.
Examples of effective communication: presentations, roadmap updates, etc. – targeting the entire team or stakeholders.
Established practice of using data and analytics to make informed decisions and measure outcomes.
Proven ability to introduce process improvements, challenge the status quo, and drive innovation within constraints.
Hands‑on use of AI/automation tools to streamline workflows and increase team productivity.
Ability to influence without authority and build trust across engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders.
Team Dynamics:
You will lead a cross-functional team of software engineers and work in close partnership with a dedicated Product Manager and Designer as an integrated “triad.” You’ll collaborate regularly with other product teams, platform/service owners, and cross‑functional stakeholders across the organization. You’ll report to a senior engineering leader and be part of a broader engineering management community that shares best practices, learns from each other, and supports your growth as a leader.
Our Work Style:
Cross‑functional, collaborative environment with tight partnership between Engineering, Product, and Design.
Agile ways of working (e.g., iterative planning, frequent releases, continuous feedback loops).
Emphasis on clear communication of plans, status, and risks to stakeholders.
Strong focus on metrics to manage quality, reliability, and throughput, and to guide continuous improvement.
Encouragement to experiment, use AI/automation, and refine processes to maximize impact and developer experience.
Demonstrated total ownership and dedication: proactively drives initiatives from conception to results, takes responsibility for outcomes, and consistently follows through on commitments.

Cybersecurity is one of the areas where AI could do the most good — and one where the capability must be built with particular care. As a Research Engineer on this track, you'll push our models' capabilities in vulnerability discovery and remediation, security analysis, incident response, and across the offensive-to-defensive spectrum of cybersecurity, and it will be your job to develop that ability deliberately and safely.
The work sits at the meeting point of research and engineering: you'll devise new approaches and be the one to implement them. Concretely, that means designing and building RL environments that reproduce realistic security scenarios, pipelines that generate synthetic training instances at scale, and experiments and evaluations that show what our models can actually do. Your results feed directly into the production training runs that shape our frontier models, in close collaboration with Mistral's researchers, engineers, and security specialists.
Security specialists and ML engineers are both welcome here — what matters is that you can hold your own in both worlds, and are eager to go deeper on the one you know less.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design and implement RL environments simulating cybersecurity scenarios.
- Build the pipelines and infrastructure that generate synthetic cybersecurity training instances at scale — thousands of scenarios, not one hand-crafted exercise.
- Conduct experiments and evaluations of model capabilities on these environments, from quick prototypes to controlled benchmark runs.
- Own the infrastructure behind the environments: containers, sandboxes, VMs, cloud deployments, and orchestration (Kubernetes), all managed as code.
- Partner with researchers and security specialists across Mistral, distilling their domain expertise into reproducible environments and datasets.
- Write clear, efficient code in Python and enforce strong software-design practices: testing, code review, CI/CD.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Hands-on expertise in offensive and/or defensive cybersecurity: vulnerability analysis, web/network/cloud security, secure coding practices, and SOC.
- Strong software engineering skills: clean, reliable, well-tested code — not just exploit scripts.
- Fluency in Python plus comfort reading lower-level languages (C/C++) for vulnerability analysis.
- DevOps experience: Docker, Kubernetes, cloud deployments, sandboxed or simulated environments.
- A pragmatic research-to-engineering mindset: ship a working first version, then refine and scale it.
- Working knowledge of RL techniques and LLM training methodologies, or strong motivation to develop it.
- Self-starter, low-ego, collaborative — comfortable working across research and engineering.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- CTF, cyber-range, or bug-bounty experience — as a player, challenge author, or platform builder.
- A research background in cybersecurity, academic or industrial, or in another experimental discipline.
- Prior experience building RL environments or large-scale ML training infrastructure.
- Relevant open-source contributions and projects.

Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
ABOUT THE JOB
Mistral AI is seeking an Applied AI Engineer focused on robotics deployment. You will take state-of-the-art AI models and make them work on real robots, in real environments, for real customers. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of machine learning and physical systems: you will own the path from model to deployed autonomy, working alongside robotics engineers, ML researchers, and systems engineers to deliver end-to-end autonomous solutions across diverse use cases.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Integrate AI models with robotic hardware, sensors, and embedded systems, bringing modern perception and language-driven capabilities onto physical platforms.
- Improve the robustness, reliability, and safety of robotic systems operating in real-world, unstructured environments.
- Test and validate algorithms in simulation and in real-world deployments, moving fluidly between the two.
- Analyze field data to improve model performance and system reliability, closing the loop between what happens on the robot and what happens in training.
- Bring up, tune, and debug the autonomy stack — localization, mapping, navigation, and perception — on real hardware, from sensor calibration to real-time performance.
- Develop and tune robot navigation behaviors — path planning, obstacle avoidance — so systems hold up in dynamic, cluttered, and partially observable environments.
- Diagnose failures end-to-end: mapping drift, localization dropouts, perception edge cases, timing issues — and fix them.
- Collaborate with robotics engineers, ML researchers, and systems engineers to deliver complete autonomous solutions for customer use cases, from prototype through production deployment.
- Build and maintain the tooling needed for deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of deployed systems.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechatronics, Robotics, or a relevant discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering).

- Knowledge of robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2.
- Experience with robot perception and state estimation: SLAM, localization and mapping, path planning, sensor fusion, or computer vision.
- Solid mathematical fundamentals — geometry, probability, and estimation — and the judgment to know when a hand-crafted algorithm beats a learned one.
- Familiarity with simulation tools and robotics development environments (e.g. Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
- Comfortable with the messiness of the real world: hardware quirks, edge cases, and field surprises don't scare you.
- Low-ego, collaborative, and eager to learn.
- Doesn't need roadmaps. Ships.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience deploying ML models on embedded or edge hardware (GPU/NPU inference, quantization, real-time constraints).
- Hands-on experience with sensor modalities such as LiDAR, depth cameras, or IMUs, including calibration and time-synchronization.
- Exposure to VLM/VLA models or other foundation-model approaches for robot perception and control.
- Experience with navigation in GPS-denied or otherwise challenging environments, or with visual-inertial odometry.
- Working knowledge of established autonomy tooling — e.g. Nav2, SLAM Toolbox, Cartographer, RTAB-Map, or AMCL — and knowing when to build versus reuse.
- Experience with behavior trees, dynamic costmaps, or fleet-level navigation.
- Contributions to open-source robotics or ML projects.
- Experience with safety-critical or regulated deployment environments.
- Track record of success through personal projects, professional projects, or academia.
