ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own frontend across product and marketing surfaces: You will work across both our core product interface and customer-facing web pages, ensuring a cohesive, polished user experience across all touch points. This includes building features in the web app and also collaborating on our website to keep branding and user experience consistent and high-quality.
- Lead design system and UI components: You’ll design, build, and maintain a scalable design system and reusable component library that empowers all our engineers and designers. By delivering robust, high-quality UI components and infrastructure, you will ensure consistency and excellence across all product surfaces. You’ll also collaborate with designers to establish guidelines and patterns, enabling the team to rapidly build beautiful, consistent UIs with confidence.
- Craft pixel-perfect user experiences: Work closely with our design team to translate Figma designs into reality with pixel-perfect precision and delightful interactions. You will partner with designers to refine UI patterns and ensure every detail is right – from typography and spacing to motion and hover states. We care deeply about design craft, so you’ll sweat the details to build an interface that feels elegant, intuitive, and “just right” for users.
- Champion frontend excellence: As the senior frontend expert, you will set and uphold high standards for performance, accessibility, and code quality. You’ll optimize our frontend for speed (efficient loading, bundle size, smooth rendering) and ensure our product works flawlessly across browsers and devices. You will also incorporate best practices for accessibility and internationalization, making our product usable by all customers.
- Move fast with pragmatism and quality: In our startup environment, you’ll iterate quickly to ship improvements and new features. You’ll make thoughtful engineering trade-offs that balance rapid delivery with maintainability and polish. This means knowing when to build a quick solution and when to invest in the long-term path – always keeping user experience and business impact in mind.
- Full-stack involvement: While your focus will be frontend, you should be comfortable venturing into the backend when needed. You’ll integrate frontend features with our GraphQL API and occasionally update server-side code (we use Go/gqlgen) to unblock frontend work. In short, you’ll do what it takes across the stack to deliver a great end-to-end product experience – without ever sacrificing our high bar for UI quality.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Frontend expertise and modern skills: Extensive experience (5+ years) building world-class web interfaces using React, TypeScript, HTML and CSS. You have a proven track record of shipping polished user interfaces in production products . Bonus points if you’ve worked with Tailwind or similar modern CSS frameworks for rapid development.
- Design sense and attention to detail: You have a keen eye for good design and care deeply about the details of the user experience. We look for people who share our passion for software craftsmanship and getting even the smallest details right—this aligns with Sierra’s value of craftsmanship. You take pride in creating pixel-perfect, intuitive UIs and will proactively fix even minor UI issues because you value quality.
- Strong collaboration and communication: You excel at working closely with designers and product managers to achieve the best outcome. You partner with product and design teams to craft beautiful user experiences , and you communicate clearly about tradeoffs and solutions. You’re open to feedback and can articulate your ideas in discussions, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
- Self-motivation and drive: You are intensely goal-oriented and proactive, able to take ownership of projects with minimal guidance. You’ve thrived in fast-paced environments and have a track record of delivering projects quickly and frequently. You can manage ambiguity and complexity, breaking down big problems into simple, workable solutions. In short, you get things done with speed and quality in equal measure.
- Pragmatic problem-solving: You approach engineering with practicality. You make effective trade-offs between ideal solutions and pragmatic deliverables, always considering the user impact and long-term maintainability. You’re not ideological about technology – you choose the best tool for the job and can learn new technologies on the fly as needed.
- Front-to-back understanding: While specializing in frontend, you have a solid understanding of backend fundamentals. You know how web APIs, databases, and servers work. If needed, you can read and write server-side code. In particular, experience with GraphQL APIs and/or Golang (our backend language) is a plus for this role.
EVEN BETTER...
- Design systems experience: Previous experience building or contributing to design systems or component libraries – either at a company or in open-source—would be a big plus . This means you’ve helped create shared UI frameworks with Figma.
- UI/UX specialization: An eye for user experience beyond coding —e.g. some experience with user research, visual design, or interaction design—would help you excel in crafting a delightful product. If you’ve worked closely with UX designers or have design skills yourself, that’s a bonus.
- Domain experience: Exposure to AI or ML products, especially building UIs for complex data or AI-driven features. For example, if you’ve built chat interfaces, analytics dashboards, or enterprise SaaS products before, you’ll have useful relevant experience.
- Full-stack prowess: Experience with our broader tech stack is helpful. This could mean familiarity with GraphQL (and libraries like gqlgen or Relay), Go or other back-end languages, and cloud platforms. While not required, such experience means you can hit the ground running across our codebase .
- Startup mentality: You’ve been an early engineer at a startup or small team before. You understand the intensity and flexibility needed in a startup environment and are excited to wear many hats. If you love taking initiative and having a broad impact, you’ll fit right in.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.

At Figma we believe design doesn’t end in a file or with your designer - it includes everything that goes into the product you ship: the production code that ties it all together, the systems and developer tools that make that code reliable, the context you provide to our AI agents, and the documentation that keeps everyone on the same page.
The Code Area at Figma is redefining how Designers, PMs and Engineers collaborate. We are responsible for agentic workflows enabling ideation and prototyping on production codebases as well as accelerating the journey from design to code. In 2023,
we launched Dev Mode
, a suite of features that give developers everything they need to navigate design files and transform designs into code. In 2025,
we introduced Figma’s MCP
, accelerating how ideas get to production. Looking to the future, we aim to further reduce the barriers between design to code and code to design allowing ideation, prototyping and productionisation to happen seamlessly where it most makes sense.
Our Code organization is expanding, and we’re hiring AI Product Engineers across multiple levels in the UK. We’re looking for people who have built generative AI products and are eager to lead AI efforts end-to-end, from early ideas to production.
Join us in shaping the future of AI at Figma!
What you’ll do at Figma:
Build and evolve Dev Mode our MCP tools and Make Figma’s leading tools for dev/design collaboration
Take part in building new 0→1 products within the agentic coding space
Collaborate with designers, PMs, and other engineers craft high quality products
Be a mentor to, and be mentored by, exceptional peers across engineering, product & design
Build strong personal connections with your teammates and help shape Figma’s culture.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
3+ years of experience shipping user-facing features or products as a full-stack developer
Demonstrated strong fluency with React & Typescript
Experience communicating and working across functions to proactively drive solutions
Attention to detail, quality, and craftsmanship
High velocity & a focus on user impact
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have experience:
Leading large scale engineering projects with high impact
Driving XFN projects collaborating with Product, Design, Data & Research
Working with user facing LLM and agentic product features
Experience curating and developing eval sets and LLMs as judges

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
⭐ THE ENGINEERING TEAM ⭐
In our engineering team, we build the infrastructure, interfaces, and applications to provide first-class service to our members, health professionals, and even ourselves!
Being an engineer at Alan means joining a team of talented, committed and passionate engineers, with a lot of product interaction.
We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle big problems!
Our process is very simple: those who make product decisions are the same ones who build them.
Our stack is Python/Flask, React, React Native, PostgreSQL.

WHICH AREA WILL YOU JOIN ?
By applying to this role, you’ll be considered for three different areas. Throughout the hiring process, we’ll discuss your experience, strengths, and interests, alongside our current hiring needs, to determine which area would be the best fit for you and where you could have the greatest impact. We’ll share this with you before the final stage of the process.
- Claims Management: We refund €350M+ in healthcare expenses every year to 1M+ members across France, Belgium, Spain, and Canada. Our mission is to pay each member the right amount, as quickly as possible, while staying cost-effective for Alan. We have built the entire claims chain in-house, from LLM-powered parsing of 2.5M documents per year https://medium.com/alan/how-we-reached-70-document-processing-automation-at-alan-674bc80f3ef3 and a global coverage engine that determines how much each member should receive, to payment infrastructure, fraud prevention https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/chaque-euro-fraud%C3%A9-%C3%A0-lassurance-sant%C3%A9-cest-un-de-moins-martos-ssxae/, and the member experience across mobile and web https://medium.com/alan/universalisation-at-alan-how-we-stopped-building-everything-twice-7feb8d88a4a8. You’ll work on deep systems that must be reliable 24/7 and operate at scale, where every improvement has a direct impact on a member’s bank account.
- Insurance Offer: We build the infrastructure that protects 1M+ people across four countries. Our mission is to make insurance simpler, more scalable, and more effective for our members and customers. You’ll work on real-time pricing, AI-powered tools that empower Sales, and Alan’s next-generation global insurance stack. More information here https://medium.com/alan/how-we-refactored-one-of-our-most-used-data-models-33cadaf31313 and here https://medium.com/alan/one-stack-for-every-country-and-product-inside-alans-core-stack-e87a127efa12.
- Customer Enablement: We run the engine behind every company that joins Alan. We bill 40K+ companies across four countries, affiliate their employees, and keep payroll and employment data accurate for 1M+ members. Our mission is to build the shared infrastructure that enables other Alan services to operate reliably and efficiently. You’ll work on a multi-country billing and invoicing platform, affiliation and employment systems that determine who is covered and from when, reconciliation tooling that identifies coverage and billing mismatches, and the APIs used by other teams to build their services. These are systems where correctness is non-negotiable: a wrong invoice or a missed affiliation can be visible to a company within the same week.
⭐ IS IT YOU WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for engineers with 3+ years of experience to help us scale our Engineering community from different perspectives (product, tech, and internal organization-wise):

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

About this role
Technology plays a central role in how GiveDirectly delivers cash—whether that’s identifying recipients in hard-to-reach places, sending payments quickly after disasters, or powering the platforms our donors use to give.
We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build the systems behind this work. Our engineering team still operates like a startup within GiveDirectly—lean, fast-moving, and high-autonomy. You’ll lean into product thinking, help shape the roadmap, and collaborate closely across disciplines to solve real-world problems. The specific team you’ll join is still being finalized—it could be:
Our
Programs Engineering
team (getting cash in the hands of people experiencing extreme poverty),
Our
Fundraising Engineering
team (raising more money for recipients), or
Our
International Rapid Response
team (getting cash to disaster-affected communities within 5 days of a crisis—anywhere in the world)
No matter the team, you’ll play a central role in scaling our impact: getting more money, to more people, more efficiently.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll help shape architecture, ship production-ready code, and work side-by-side with teammates across product, data, and operations. We’re looking for someone excited to wear multiple hats, move quickly, and define what great engineering looks like in a mission-driven org
Level: Senior Software Engineer
Travel Requirement:
Must be able to travel ~1-2 times per year to one of our countries of operation for team retreats or field visits.
What you’ll do:
Design and build scalable, reliable systems that power our core operations—whether that’s donor platforms, systems that deliver payments directly to recipients, or crisis response tools reaching hundreds of thousands of people globally.
Own end-to-end development of new features and services, from architecture through deployment and monitoring.
Improve our developer workflows by strengthening CI/CD pipelines, reducing manual steps, and increasing test coverage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, ops, data) to understand real-world needs and ship tools that directly support program delivery in the field.
Debug and resolve production issues across our stack, with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
Advocate for sustainable engineering practices, including testing, documentation, and monitoring
Help shape our tech roadmap with an eye toward scale, maintainability, and recipient experience
What you’ll bring:
Exceptional alignment with
GiveDirectly Values
and active demonstration of our core competencies: emotional intelligence, problem solving, project management, follow-through, and fostering inclusivity. We welcome and strongly encourage applications from candidates who have personal or professional experience in the low-income and/or historically marginalized communities that we serve.
Language Requirement: English
4+ years of industry experience creating production-caliber software and systems
Experience with backend architecture: databases, cloud services, APIs
Experience building infrastructure to deploy software
Experience with strongly-typed, object-oriented programming such as Java, C#, Go, etc. and scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, etc.
High degree of ownership and autonomy - you proactively advocate for ways to improve systems and constantly leave our codebase in a better state than you found it
Strong analytical skills and communication - able to break down complex problems, describe technical trade-offs, and collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g. technical program managers, product managers)
Bonus: Experience using Python and AWS in a production environment
Bonus: experience with payments/financial software and/or experience with microservice/serverless architecture

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and deliver production-grade AI agents https://sierra.ai/blog/meet-the-ai-agent-engineer: You'll build and ship highly performant, reliable, and intuitive AI agents that are central, mission-critical and drive revenue directly to Sierra's growth. These aren't prototypes—they are powerful, scalable systems running in production environments across industries like finance, healthcare, and commerce.
- Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-development-life-cycle (ADLC): You'll have complete ownership and autonomy from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration. - Partner with large enterprises and cutting-edge startups: You’ll work directly with leaders at some of the world’s largest enterprises to understand their most pressing business challenges, and build AI agents that transform how they operate at scale. You'll also partner with the most cutting-edge startups in Silicon Valley, embedding AI agents across their entire business stack to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Build the future of the platform: Your direct work with customers will guide the evolution of Sierra's core platform. You'll surface unmet needs, prototype new tools and features, and collaborate with research, product, and platform to shape the future of AI agent development and Sierra's product.
EXAMPLE PROJECTS

To do so, it is important to us that the diversity of our employees represents the diversity of our customers. We believe that our work and culture are better when we encourage, support, and respect different skills and experiences represented within our team. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. We strive to evaluate all applicants consistently without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, citizenship, or any other legally protected class.
