ABOUT CLIPBOARD
Our mission is to uplift as many communities as possible. We do this through our app-based marketplace that connects healthcare professionals with the workplaces that need amazing workers. This enables hundreds of thousands of people to achieve financial stability for themselves and their families while providing essential care to millions of people across the U.S.
Founded in 2016, we are a remote-first team of over 1,000 people building a top Y-Combinator company https://www.ycombinator.com/topcompanies/ and have been profitable since 2022. We’re the leader in Long-Term Care staffing and are rapidly expanding into Home Health, Hospitals, and more, meaning we have more work to do than people to do it, and are growing our team to support millions more people and their communities.
OVERVIEW
📍 Remote - South Africa
Want to sit at the intersection of Support, Engineering, and Product? Clipboard is hiring Technical Support Engineers (TSEs) to act as the primary escalation layer for technical issues across our platform. You'll own the investigation, reproduction, and - where applicable- agent-assisted fix implementation that turns noisy customer reports into validated, high-signal work, so Engineering only receives production-ready problems for final review.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for people who love digging into hard problems with real diagnostic tools, who care about getting to the root cause rather than just clearing a queue, and who want their investigations to directly protect platform reliability for hundreds of thousands of healthcare workers and the facilities that depend on them.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Monitor escalation channels and the Technical Support queue in Zendesk, catching early signals of systemic problems before they reach customers
- Investigate complex product, platform, and data-layer issues using tools like Datadog, internal dashboards, and SQL, reproducing bugs and producing evidence-backed escalations to Engineering.
- Handle live incidents end-to-end, from detection to closure: React to an incident with urgency, coordinate across Support, Engineering, and Product, and keep stakeholders updated with clear, structured communication
- Implement fixes where appropriate, testing your changes before handing off to Engineering for final review and sign-off
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and post-incident reviews, translating each issue into learnings that reduce recurrence and improve monitoring
- Maintain operational workflows (geofence, facility quizzes, NFC) accurately and quickly while spotting trends for prevention
- Capture investigative learnings in clear troubleshooting guides and documentation, and submit structured proposals that turn recurring patterns into actionable improvements
- Uphold our values such as unreasonably fast, ownership, and uncomfortably high standards in every interaction
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Technical Fluency - You're comfortable investigating issues with observability tools (e.g., Datadog), writing SQL to interrogate data, and reasoning about APIs, backend configurations, and feature toggles. You can tell the difference between a UI, data, and code-level problem.
- Diagnostic Rigor - Every investigation you produce is thorough, evidence-based, and reproducible. You rule out config and data causes before escalating, and your write-ups are clear enough for another engineer to pick up without rework.
- End-to-End Ownership - You own problems from first report to confirmed resolution, including stakeholder updates and follow-through, with no gaps between hand-offs.
- Composure Under Pressure - You stay structured and calm during live incidents, balancing speed with accuracy and communicating clearly when stakes are high.
- Adaptability & Prioritization - You juggle structured work (incidents, bugs, workflows) with unplanned high-priority requests without letting SLAs slip.
- Systems & Prevention Thinking - You treat every issue as a chance to learn, identifying gaps in monitoring, tooling, or process and proposing fixes that prevent recurrence.
- Fluent, professional-level English communication, both written and verbal.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with observability and analytics tooling (Datadog, Sentry, Snowflake, or similar)
- Familiarity with SQL and reading application logs
- Background in technical support, SRE, incident response, or a related engineering-adjacent function
- Exposure to AI-assisted coding/agent tooling
- Experience in Ops, Support, or CX environments at scale
HIRING PROCESS
- Application Review
- Skills Assessment via Case Study
- Case Interview with Tech Support Team Lead
- Interview with Head of Worker Experience

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

Travel:
Approximately 3-4 trips per year, including at least one to a country of operation and one to a key in-person leadership moment.
About this role
We are currently planning for a significant increase in scale, and we are building the People function that can carry it.
This is our first senior talent management role. Today we have pieces of talent management programs and processes in place, but not yet a function. You will build one: an intentional approach to how we onboard, develop, and retain our people. That covers performance management and its link to pay, manager and leadership development, learning, onboarding, talent planning and succession, employee listening and engagement, and culture and values.
The first year is weighted toward four priorities: joining the redesign of our performance system early, alongside the Head of People, and owning it as it moves into execution, as we move to pay for performance, revamping onboarding ahead of our next wave of hiring, planning our values retreat for senior leaders, and getting a read on employee listening and engagement. As those take shape, the balance shifts toward the longer-term build: the vision and roadmap for the function, a foundational manager program, talent planning and succession, and the team around you.
The reason for this weight: the performance system and onboarding are our most acute gaps today, but they should not be construed as a ceiling of the job. We are hiring a senior talent management leader who can shape the whole function over several years, not the owner of one or two programs. If your instinct on reading this is that the performance redesign is the whole job, this role probably isn’t the right fit, and the reverse is also true: if you want to set strategy but not build the first versions yourself, year one will frustrate you.
What you’ll do
Build the talent management function
Within your first 90 days, assess what exists today across these areas, recommend the sequencing for the first year, and agree to it with the Head of People.
Set the vision and multi-year roadmap for talent management across the areas it covers, and sequence the work against the People roadmap.
Propose the team around it, and decide what we build in-house and what we buy or borrow.
Connect talent management to workforce planning, compensation, and recruitment, in partnership with the Head of People, Finance, and function leaders.
Build an approach to talent and succession planning, starting with critical roles: work with leaders to identify succession gaps, assess potential successors, and put development plans in place to prepare people for future opportunities.
Own the performance system
Join the performance system redesign early, alongside the Head of People, and own it as it moves into execution: a system that produces reliable, calibrated outputs to inform merit increases, connected to our new salary bands.
Make the system worth using, not a check-the-box exercise: one that helps managers hold better performance and development conversations and gives employees clarity on expectations, feedback, and growth.
Build calibration and the data around it so ratings and merit decisions stay consistent and fair across countries, currencies, and manager quality.
Set a clear global standard for handling low performance that doesn’t default to a misconduct process, and equip managers to use it.
Ensure the performance system helps managers identify and support sustained high performance, connecting it to recognition, development, and career growth opportunities.
Iterate the system through multiple cycles, using calibration, outcome data, and feedback from managers and employees to improve it.
Build how people join, learn, and are led
Revamp onboarding ahead of our next wave of hiring: own the content and experience for new hires and their managers, working with People Ops on process and systems.
Build a foundational manager program and the tools behind it: feedback, coaching, difficult conversations, and performance management.
Extend into leadership development and broader learning as the function matures.
Shape culture and listen to employees
Plan the values retreat with an external facilitator and our executive sponsor, and own what carries into daily work afterward.
Get a read on listening and engagement today, covering what we hear, where it goes, and what should change, and use it to build our employee listening strategy.
What this role is not
Not a recruiting role. Hiring sits with our Talent Acquisition team. You partner with them on the handoff into onboarding and on how we assess and develop talent once people are here.
Not the owner of compensation design. Pay structures and bands are set through our compensation work. You own how performance is assessed and how ratings connect to pay decisions.
Not an employee relations or casework role. Cases in country belong to managers and HR Managers, supported by the People team. You own the performance system and the manager capability that helps them handle concerns well.
Who we’re looking for
Required
7+ years in talent management, performance, or organizational design roles, including time leading a function or a major part of one.
You are a hands-on builder who has deep experience building talent management programs and systems (e.g. onboarding, manager development, performance, employee listening, etc.) from scratch in a start-up or scale-up environment
and
for a bifurcated, global workforce.
You have built programs and content people actually used, and can show how you knew they worked.
You think in systems and use data (survey, performance, calibration) to make decisions. You can show how a change in one part of a talent system, such as ratings, calibration, pay, promotion, or onboarding, shows up in the others, and you reason from the underlying problem rather than copying another organization’s template.
You design with change management in mind from the start. You plan for how managers and employees in different countries and cultures will adopt a new program or system as part of the design, not as a rollout step afterward, and can show how you knew it stuck rather than being worked around.
You have had exposure to compensation design or worked closely with a total rewards team.
Demonstrated judgment and prioritization chops and experience influencing without authority.
Preferred
You have designed a performance system linked to pay decisions, not only administered one.
Experience in a mission-driven or international organization, ideally alongside high-growth commercial or tech experience.
Experience working across countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
Experience working with external facilitators, consultants, or vendors, and knowing what to hand off and what to hold.
Professional French or Portuguese.

You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Director of Corporate FP&A to join Grafana Labs and help build and scale our Corporate FP&A function as the company enters its next phase of growth.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for building the financial infrastructure and operating cadence that power company-wide planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making. You will own key Corporate FP&A processes, including long-range planning, annual planning, consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting, executive and Board reporting, while helping establish the rigor, systems, and insights required to support the company’s next phase of growth.
You will serve as a key partner to Finance, business leaders, and the executive leadership team, translating operating performance into clear financial insights and helping drive fast, informed decisions. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, results-oriented finance leader with strong business judgment, high integrity, and a track record of building scalable processes in complex, high-growth environments. You should be equally comfortable operating strategically and going deep into the details, with the ability to identify what needs to be built and raise the overall standard of Corporate FP&A.
This is an opportunity to build the foundation for Corporate FP&A at a high-growth global company. The role is fully remote and will report to the VP of Finance.
What you'll be doing:
Own the company-wide Corporate FP&A model and planning processes, including long-range planning, annual planning, monthly forecasting, and consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecasting.
Lead executive and Board reporting, delivering clear, decision-ready materials and commentary on business performance, key drivers, risks, opportunities, and operating leverage.
Build and continuously refine the company’s KPI and reporting architecture, including scorecards, dashboards, recurring business reviews, and analytical frameworks that leadership and investors can rely on.
Partner closely with Accounting, Tax, and other Finance teams to support month-end close, flux reviews, and financial reporting.
Establish and continuously improve Corporate FP&A operating rhythms, including close-to-insight timelines, clear ownership, metric definitions, and reporting processes designed to support the company’s next phase of growth.
Lead the modernization of Finance processes, forecasting methodologies, and planning frameworks through systems, workflow automation, structured data, and AI to improve accuracy, scalability, and the quality of forward-looking insights as the business evolves.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with business and functional leaders, serving as a trusted partner on financial performance, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Corporate FP&A team, and support strategic initiatives such as M&A diligence and integration as needed.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
10+ years of experience across FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, or related disciplines, including meaningful experience at a leading technology company and ideally complementary experience in investment banking or buy-side investing. Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or the broader technology sector is strongly preferred.
Corporate FP&A leadership experience, ideally in a public-company, newly public, or public-company-readiness environment, with exposure to quarterly close, executive reporting, Board reporting, and other rigorous financial operating cadences.
Meaningful experience owning a consolidated P&L, company-wide forecast, and Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting processes.
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to build models from scratch, pressure-test assumptions, identify root causes, and translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights.
Strong executive presence and communication skills, with experience preparing and presenting decision-ready materials to senior leadership and the Board, and influencing significant company decisions.
Proven ability to serve as a trusted business partner across functions and geographies, with strong business judgment and a track record of building effective cross-functional relationships.
Demonstrated success as a change agent, improving forecasting, planning, reporting, and operating processes as organizations scale.
Strong systems and technical fluency, including experience with Pigment and AI tools, and a track record of automating financial processes and applying AI to Finance workflows.
Ability to operate at multiple altitudes, from strategic thinking to detailed execution, while prioritizing competing demands and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
A player-coach mindset with high attention to detail and the highest standards of integrity, credibility, and accountability.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is an AI safety and research company working to build reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our customers and society as a whole. As an Enforcement Analyst focused on Agentic Alignment, you will play a crucial role in identifying and investigating harmful and unexpected behavior by models, and make enforcement decisions accordingly. You'll work closely with a suite of cross-functional teams, within and outside of Safeguards, including: Policy, Threat Intel, Engineering, Research, and Transparency. Your work will be essential in maintaining Anthropic's commitment to safe and beneficial AI as Claude takes on more autonomous work.
Important context for this role: In this position you may be exposed to and engage with explicit content spanning a range of topics, including those of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature. There is also an on-call responsibility across the Policy and Enforcement teams.
Key responsibilities
Review and investigate potential instances of Agentic Misalignment, working from transcripts, tool-use traces, and code
Triage cases by severity and urgency and share through the appropriate channels
Help operationalize review pipelines for agentic cases, translating leads from detection outputs and investigations into structured review workflows that scale
Make enforcement decisions under the Usage Policy, applying it consistently to novel agentic scenarios and across surfaces, and documenting the reasoning behind each decision
Assess cyber-related agentic activity, such as scanning, exploitation attempts, credential misuse or malicious code to determine its real-world harm potential
Write clear, well-evidenced case write-ups for audiences ranging from enforcement peers to senior leadership
Identify patterns and trends across cases, and close the loop between enforcement outcomes and upstream improvements by feeding findings back to policy, detection and research teams to improve policies, classifiers and model behavior
Maintain rigorous documentation of enforcement decisions, review logic and precedents to build institutional knowledge
Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Research, Engineering and Policy partners so that detection coverage keeps pace with how agentic misuse and misaligned behavior evolve
Use AI systems, including Claude, to accelerate your own investigations: summarizing long transcripts, analyzing code, querying data and building lightweight tooling
Contribute to regular reports on agentic harm trends and enforcement outcomes
Minimum qualifications
Can read and understand code (for example Python, JavaScript or shell scripts) well enough to follow what happened and why it matters
Have a background in security, cyber threat intelligence, or a similar technical field that lets you understand how cyber harm happens and judge its severity

As Product Counsel, you will be a hands-on legal partner to the teams building Claude for consumers and businesses. You'll work across Claude's apps, subscriptions, growth programs and enterprise offerings, moving to wherever the need is greatest. You'll learn from experienced product lawyers, get close to the product quickly, and take on more ownership as you go. This is a generalist role for someone who wants range, likes a fast pace, and is ready to do the routine work and the novel work with the same care.
Key responsibilities
Partner with Product, Engineering, Design and other cross-functional teams to give clear, practical legal guidance from early ideas through launch
Review product launches across Claude's consumer and enterprise offerings, spotting issues early and helping teams find a path forward
Advise on subscriptions, pricing, promotions, billing and other growth programs, including consumer protection and marketing rules
Support enterprise and regulated-industry products on topics such as admin controls, customer commitments and enterprise readiness
Draft and review user-facing terms, disclosures, in-product copy and marketing claims
Pull in privacy, commercial, IP, safety and other specialists, then return one integrated answer to your product partners
Build guides, templates and AI-powered workflows so routine questions get answered quickly and the team can focus on novel ones
Pick up new areas as priorities shift, and help with incidents and escalations when they come up
Minimum qualifications
Hold a law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and meet the local licensing requirements to work as in-house counsel where you'll be based
At least 4 years of relevant legal experience, with exposure to technology, consumer or regulated products
Experience advising business or product teams directly, not only other lawyers
Working knowledge of at least two of: consumer protection, privacy, advertising and marketing law, technology transactions, IP, or regulated industries
Curiosity about how AI products work, and the ability to pick up technical concepts quickly
A habit of making a clear recommendation, even with incomplete information
Comfort moving between assignments as priorities change, with no job too big or too small
Clear, concise writing that non-lawyers can act on
Openness to feedback and a track record of improving quickly
Experience using AI tools in your legal work, or a strong interest in learning to do so
Empathy and a service orientation, with a real commitment to Anthropic's mission
Preferred qualifications
In-house product counsel experience, or a secondment with a product team
Experience with subscription businesses, promotions, or consumer billing
Experience supporting enterprise SaaS or regulated customers such as healthcare or financial services
Experience building playbooks, self-serve guidance or legal automation

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.

Anthropic's Safeguards team plays a critical role in ensuring our AI systems are deployed safely, responsibly, and in line with our values.
As an Incident Manager, you will manage Safeguards incidents involving our AI systems from declaration through closure. You will assess severity, bring in the right people from Legal, Communications, Policy, Threat Intelligence, Security, Engineering, and research teams, keep leadership informed, and see follow-up work through. You will also oversee the Safeguards Enforcement on-call queue on a rotating basis, and help build and scale the incident response program, including runbooks, post-incident reviews, and automation of routine work.
Important context for this role: in this position you may be exposed to and engage with explicit content spanning a range of topics, including those of a violent, sexual, or psychologically disturbing nature. This role also includes after-hours and weekend incident coverage on a rotating basis.
Key responsibilities
Serve as incident commander for Safeguards incidents from declaration through closure
Assess what qualifies as an incident, propose severity, and coordinate responders across Legal, Communications, Policy, Threat Intelligence, Security, Engineering, and research teams
Keep everyone working from the same facts by tracking input from each team, establishing what is known, what has changed, and what is still open, and sending regular updates that executives and partner teams rely on
Make sure Legal, Communications, and Public Policy are consulted before decisions that need them, and coordinate any external notifications
Run post-incident reviews, assign action items to named owners, and track them through closure
Oversee the on-call queue during your rotation as the first responder for urgent requests and escalations to Safeguards Enforcement
Triage each request, resolve what you can, route the rest to the owning team, and recognize when a request is the start of an incident
Take part in after-hours and weekend incident coverage on a rotating basis
Scope and deliver projects that improve the incident response program, such as on-call automation, incident readiness, and post-incident reviews and metrics
Draft and maintain runbooks and standard operating procedures
Work with Safeguards engineers to automate or reroute requests by writing the decision rules and testing the result
Maintain the incident record and the metrics that show leadership how the program is performing
Minimum qualifications
Experience running incidents or urgent escalations from start to finish in trust and safety, security, platform integrity, crisis management, or a comparable field, and readiness to lead high-severity incidents with support
Hands-on experience with incidents where someone was abusing or misusing a product or platform, such as account compromise, fraud, or coordinated malicious activity
Ability to make clear decisions under time pressure, record your reasoning, and recognize when a decision belongs to Legal, Policy, or leadership
Ability to write short, accurate updates that an executive can act on and that hold up to legal and external scrutiny
Experience coordinating people across many functions who do not report to you, securing their commitments, and following through on them
Experience improving an operational process on your own initiative, and the ability to tell which steps need a person and which can be automated
Willingness to do hands-on queue work as a regular part of the job, and to treat it as a source of information about what is breaking
Ability to participate in after-hours and weekend incident coverage on a rotating basis
Preferred qualifications
Experience joining an incident response function early and helping write runbooks and review processes
Experience with incidents involving AI systems
Experience with the enforcement steps that follow an incident, such as account actions, law enforcement referrals, or user and customer notifications
Experience working with threat intelligence or security investigation teams during an incident
Experience with regulatory or external incident reporting and disclosure
Experience running an on-call rotation or support escalation queue, including setting and measuring response targets
Experience using AI tools to automate triage, summaries, or routine decisions, with checks on quality
Working knowledge of SQL or similar tools for analyzing incident and queue data
Experience designing and facilitating tabletop exercises
Genuine interest in AI safety and responsible technology development
