About your team
As a Finance, Legal & Ops team, we are business partners in Eneba. By cooperating and supporting the organization in finance and accounting topics we strive to enable growth, optimize and improve the current internal processes. At the same time we act as strategic advisors whose input helps shape the roadmap of product teams.
As Head of Accounting&Automation, you will own the accounting function for a growing group of 8+ legal entities across two equally important dimensions: the team and the systems. On the team side, you'll build and lead the accounting team, operationalize new entities as we expand into new jurisdictions, and ensure compliance across all of them. On the automation side - increasingly the bigger, more strategic half of the role - you'll own our accounting data and tooling roadmap. You'll spot where AI and automation can replace manual reconciliation, reporting, and month-end work. Then you'll lead the search, evaluation, and selection of the right systems and tools, and manage the vendors and implementation partners who bring them to life. This role suits someone who thinks like an owner and enjoys building and creating, while also leading a team and staying on top of multi-jurisdiction compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional accounting projects end-to-end — partnering with Product, Tech, Legal, and Commerce on initiatives like new business lines and models, process flows implementations/changes&automation rollouts.
- Build and lead the accounting team - hire, structure, assign entity ownership, and manage performance.
- Implement accounting technologies and tools; drive AI adoption and automation across the function.
- Operationalise new group entities - set up charts of accounts, accounting processes, and intercompany relationships; implement group structure changes in accounting.
- Develop and maintain internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures; evolve accounting processes as the product grows and new business lines are introduced.
- Coordinate group audits and ensure GAAP compliance across all jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with financial covenants and oversee regulatory reporting obligations across group entities.
- Oversee tax reporting and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filings across all jurisdictions.
- Act as the primary contact for various departments and external parties (tax consultants, auditors) regarding accounting matters.
Requirements
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years managing teams.
- Proven track record of leading, building, or scaling an accounting team.
- Deep expertise in Lithuanian GAAP and/or IFRS, intercompany accounting and consolidation.
- Strong business acumen, ability to understand business in detail by connecting the responsibilities and inputs of all organizational units.
- Proficient in accounting close processes, audit coordination, and financial statement review and analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
- AI tools experience and a mindset for automating manual workflows.
- Exceptional time management, task ownership, and prioritization skills.
- Fluency in both English and Lithuanian (written and spoken).
- Experience in a high-growth tech, marketplace, or e-commerce company would be a plus.
Compensation
Starting from €5,500 gross/month, the final offer will depend on your experience and skills.

With
more than 10 billion pulls
, Canonical's container images are trusted by developers worldwide to build and run software securely and at scale. That trust rests on our commitment to
hardened, production-ready
images.
We are advancing the state of the art with a
new generation of Ubuntu-based container images
we call "rocks": minimal images engineered for performance and usability and backed by long-term security commitments. As a member of the team, you will own the path from upstream source to published image, turning open source software into tested, signed, and continuously maintained artifacts that developers can deploy with confidence.
This is fast-paced, multi-disciplinary software engineering. Because most of the software we package originates from third-party upstreams, you will work across a broad range of container technologies and hundreds of open source projects, often in several programming languages, integrating and maintaining them so they are easy to consume on Ubuntu. Automation is central to the role: you will build the pipelines that package, build, test, and publish images at scale.
Your seniority in this role will reflect your software engineering experience and your ability to mentor and guide more junior colleagues.
Location:
This is a globally remote role
This role entails
Build and maintain a growing portfolio of high-quality, hardened container images
Design and operate automated CI/CD pipelines that build, test, scan, sign, publish, promote, and retire images across environments and architectures
Write tooling and tests to assess security compliance and cloud-native compatibility
Work closely with the community and partners to share container expertise and keep our portfolio current with new features, patches, and applications
Collaborate with our product security, platform, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams
Contribute technical input to the team's decision-making
Set the standard for quality, defining image standards that span security, compatibility, performance, size, and developer experience
Grow our knowledge base and write about the work we do
Work in a collaborative, agile, and globally distributed environment
Mentor colleagues and contribute to hiring
Work from home with global travel of up to 15% for internal and external events
What we are looking for in you
Proficiency in Bash and Python
Experience working with CI/CD systems (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Experience building container images
Command of at least one container management or orchestration tool (e.g. Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes)
Hands-on experience with Linux systems, package management, build systems, release engineering, or artifact pipelines
Clear communication and end-to-end ownership, spanning design, review, documentation, operation, and cross-team collaboration
A commitment to sharing knowledge and helping those around you grow
A genuine appetite for learning and for working outside your comfort zone
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, a STEM field, or a similar discipline
An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
Business level written and spoken English.
Sincere personal motivation aligned with our mission.
International travel 2-4 times a year for company events up to two weeks long.
0-7 years relevant experience.
In addition we expect that you will match our values, by being:
Precise, taking care to deliver correctness and clarity.
Reliable, delivering high quality work that builds trust and confidence.
Accessible, collaborating to build products and systems that are usable.
Adroit, blending enthusiasm, knowledge, adaptability, style and character.
Nice-to-have skills
A security-oriented maintenance mindset: you can investigate dependency and vulnerability findings, assess their impact, and deliver a safe fix
An understanding of software supply chain security, with some experience generating and consuming artifacts such as SBOMs, signatures, provenance, or CVE reports
Familiarity with GitOps principles and workflows
Familiarity with additional languages such as Go or Rust
Hands-on experience building minimal and distroless container images
Knowledge of the OCI specifications
Familiarity with security or compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIST, FedRAMP, or DISA STIG
Evidence of contributions to open source projects
A passion for embedding security across all stages of the engineering lifecycle (DevSecOps), and an interest in using AI or agentic development responsibly and safely
Relevant Linux, container, or cloud-native certifications (such as CKS or DCA) are welcome
If your experience is close but does not match every requirement, we encourage you to apply. We value transferable experience from Linux packaging, release engineering, build systems, platform engineering, and open-source maintenance.
What we offer colleagues
We consider geographical location, experience, and performance in shaping compensation worldwide. We revisit compensation annually (and more often for graduates and associates) to ensure we recognize outstanding performance. In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven annual bonus. Distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person
Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year
Bi-annual compensation review
Company recognition rewards
40 days annual leave per annum, including public holidays and our All Company holiday periods

How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
Required qualifications
• 8+ years of Product Management experience, including ownership of security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), endpoint, or access-control products.
• A track record of defining and delivering roadmaps for complex, cross-functional initiatives in a Business-to-Business (B2B) Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.
• Experience contributing to product vision and strategy across multiple engineering teams or product areas.
• Strong written communication skills, with experience creating PRDs, PR/FAQs, and other artifacts that align teams and support decision-making.
• Experience defining Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), success metrics, and measurement frameworks connected to business outcomes.
• The ability to communicate complex security and product concepts clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior customer stakeholders.
• A customer-centered approach to prioritization that combines qualitative insight with quantitative data.
Preferred qualifications
• Experience with endpoint security, device management, zero-trust, least-privilege architectures, or related security technologies.

What you can expect:
Own and evolve the Device Security product roadmap, partnering with engineering leadership to define priorities and deliver key capabilities.
• Shape the role of Device Security within 1Password Unified Access and contribute to cross-company product strategy.
• Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly prioritization, balancing near-term delivery with an 18–24 month product vision.
• Represent the customer perspective through discovery, feedback loops, recorded and live demos, and structured product artifacts such as Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and Product Requirements/FAQs (PR/FAQs).
• Collaborate with Product Managers (PMs) across adjacent product areas, as well as Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Product Marketing.
• Establish success metrics that connect customer outcomes and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) contribution to product progress.
• Engage directly with enterprise customers, including Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), Vice Presidents of Security, and Information Technology (IT) leaders.
• Prototype proof-of-value solutions using AI-enabled developer tools to explore and communicate product ideas.

Fully MiCA-authorized across the EEA. PCI DSS Level 2 certified. Backed by Dragonfly, TA Ventures, and Hypra.
Location: Remote
Tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, TypeORM, NATS JetStream, Redis, Jest, Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform.
Blockchains: EVM-compatible, Bitcoin-family, Tron, Solana, TON.
About the role:
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who thinks in systems and owns the outcome:
two large-scale microservice platforms (30+ and 25+ services), blockchain integrations handling real user funds across multiple networks, a fintech product available in 190+ countries.
This role partially offloads the Tech Lead. That means making architectural calls independently, driving complex integrations with payment providers and blockchain networks, and shaping technical direction, not just contributing to it.
The bar is high by design. If you've been in rooms where key technical decisions get made, and you were the one making them or should have been, let's talk.
What you’ll do:
• Own backend architecture across two large-scale microservice platforms (30+ and 25+ services) from system design and API contracts to data flow and inter-service communication.
• Lead complex integrations — payment providers, card issuers, blockchain networks, third-party APIs, and take full responsibility for their reliability in production.
• Drive performance and scalability — identify bottlenecks, design caching strategies, optimize database queries, and ensure the platform handles growing load.
• Shape technical direction — make architectural decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and influence the team’s engineering standards. You’ll partially offload the Tech Lead so the team can scale.
• Build and improve AI-powered processes — our team actively uses LLM-based systems to automate operational and development workflows. You’ll contribute to and extend this direction.
• Contribute to back-office frontends (~20% of your time) — maintain and extend React-based admin dashboards used by internal teams.
• Own features end-to-end from planning and architectural design to implementation, testing, production monitoring, and iterative improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and cross-functional teams — produce clear technical documentation, participate in code reviews, and share knowledge.
• Take part in a shared on-call rotation — roughly one week a month.
Who you are:
•
Technically strong with an architectural mindset
— you don’t just write code; you design systems. You think about data flows, failure modes, and long-term maintainability before writing the first line.
•
Opinionated and able to defend your decisions
— you bring an expert perspective to technical discussions and can articulate trade-offs clearly to both engineers and stakeholders.
•
Proactive problem-solver
— you find issues before they become incidents and propose solutions without waiting to be asked.
•
Product-driven
— most of your time goes into shipping features and solving real user problems, not open-ended refactoring.
•
Self-motivated and responsible
— you thrive in small teams, enjoy autonomy, and take full ownership of the development process.
What you will bring
(must-have)
:
•
Last
5+ years of production experience
in backend development with
Type Script/Node.js as the primary stack. Last
2+ years with NestJS in production
— modules, providers, middleware, guards, interceptors, microservice architecture with custom transports.
•
System design experience
— decomposing services, designing API contracts, data flow architecture, capacity planning. You can whiteboard a system and explain why you made each decision.
•
Complex integration experience
— you’ve built and maintained integrations with third-party APIs, payment systems, or similar external services in production. You know how to handle retries, circuit breakers, and graceful degradation.
•
AI-driven development
— you actively use AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor) in your daily workflow. Beyond personal productivity, you have experience optimizing business or organizational processes with AI/LLMs—building automations, internal tools, or workflows powered by language models.
•
Fintech domain knowledge:
PCI DSS, GDPR, KYC/AML, payment systems.
•
Deep PostgreSQL expertise
— schema design, indexing (partial, GIN/GiST), query optimization, migrations with zero downtime, database-per-service pattern.
•
Hands-on microservices experience
— not a monolith split into modules. You’ve dealt with inter-service communication (RPC + pub/sub), message brokers, idempotency, eventual consistency, saga/outbox patterns.
•
Performance engineering
— profiling, caching strategies, load analysis, bottleneck identification. You can optimize a slow query and a slow service alike.
•
Strong testing discipline
— unit tests (Jest), integration tests with real databases, microservice testing.
•
Security-conscious
— in fintech and crypto, every code path can touch real user funds. You build accordingly.
•
Skilled in technical research
— evaluating trade-offs, testing hypotheses, and making data-driven architectural decisions.
•
English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate. Fluent in Russian.
Nice to have:
•
Production blockchain experience
— you’ve worked with on-chain transactions, multiple networks, and real user funds. You understand HD wallets (BIP32/BIP39), smart contracts, ABI, ERC-20/SPL tokens, and the differences between account-based and UTXO models. Experience with libraries like ethers.js, viem, and solana/web3.js.
•
Experience with
NATS JetStream
as a transport layer (streams, consumers, delivery policies).
•
Observability:
OpenTelemetry, Prometheus + Grafana, structured logging (pino), distributed tracing.
•
Kubernetes beyond basics:
Kustomize/Helm, deployment strategies, resource management.
•
Experience mentoring developers.
•
React basics for back-office UIs
(functional components, hooks, Redux, Material-UI).
Interaction with other teams:
Close collaboration with Product, QA, Frontend, and Mobile. Cross-functional communication is an essential part of the role. Partially offload the Tech Lead: own architectural and technical decisions, independently drive complex integrations, and influence the platform's technical direction. This is not an executor role. We need someone with strong expert opinions who can be relied upon for key technical decisions.
Key results (30-60-90):
30 days:
First features shipped to production. Deep dive into the stack, architecture, and domain (blockchain, fintech). Clear understanding of core services and how they interact.
60 days:
Independently drives a complex integration or a major feature. Participates in architectural code reviews. Brings first proposals for improvements.
90 days:
Makes architectural decisions on their scope. Influences technical direction. Partially offloads decision-making from the Tech Lead. Participates in planning.
What we offer:
• Work fully remote as part of an agile, international team reshaping the future of finance.
• An engineering culture that encourages the adoption of modern tools and development practices, giving engineers real influence over technologies, workflows, and technical decisions.
• Two career tracks — grow into Tech Lead or deepen your expertise as Staff/Principal IC. You choose the path.
• Career progression and professional development in a forward-thinking fintech environment.
• Competitive salary range based on individual performance review.
• Transparent feedback and a culture that values ownership, open dialogue, and visible impact.
