Workplace: OnSite
Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Software Engineer to work on the systems that let operators author, deploy, and manage robot workflows at scale. This sits at the intersection of backend infrastructure and product - you'll build the services that coordinate fleets of robots, the tooling that lets operators express what they want robots to do, and the interfaces that give visibility into what's actually happening on the floor.
This is a full-stack role with a strong backend lean. You'll work closely with the robotics, AI, and product teams to build systems that are real-time, multi-tenant, and mission-critical.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build and maintain backend services that coordinate robot fleets at runtime: workflow state management, event logging, and the APIs that robots, operators, and third-party systems use to interact with the platform
- Develop and evolve the workflow authoring experience - tooling that lets operators define, deploy, and incrementally refine robot workflows in natural language, without needing to understand the underlying representation
- Build on-robot services that enable remote control, workflow execution, state reporting, and diagnostics
- Own the data infrastructure that tracks workflow execution: event logs, conformance metrics, and the audit trails that let operators understand what robots are doing and why
- Build and maintain reliable, secure cloud infrastructure for running these services, including deployment pipelines, observability, and alerting
- Implement testing and validation pipelines to catch regressions across the UI, backend, and on-robot services - including simulation-based workflow validation before changes hit production
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong backend engineering skills in Python, Go, or similar
- Solid understanding of API design, data modelling, and the tradeoffs in distributed systems (consistency, concurrency, fault tolerance)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment: containerisation, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code
- Comfort working across the stack from frontend to backend
- Experience with observability and alerting in systems where failures have real operational consequences
- Good instincts for where complexity should live and how to keep systems debuggable and understandable as they grow
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with workflow engines, state machines, or coordination systems — ideally in a multi-agent or fleet context
- Experience building operator-facing tooling: dashboards, authoring UIs, or systems that translate human intent into structured actions
- Exposure to LLM-based agentic systems, particularly using AI to generate or modify structured representations from natural language
- Experience integrating with third-party enterprise systems (WMS, ERP, or similar)
- Background in robotics or real-time systems where execution state and side-effects need to be managed carefully
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
- 30+ paid days off, including 23 days of annual leave, all UK bank holidays, and additional company closure days (including Christmas–New Year shutdown).
- Private healthcare, including virtual and in-person care.
- Pension scheme with 8% total contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.
- Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in-office.
- Work at the frontier - collaborate daily with world-class engineers, researchers, and product experts building the next generation of AI and humanoid robotics.
- Real ownership - direct access to founding leadership, meaningful input on product direction, and the ability to drive key initiatives from day one.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AT SENTRY
Sentry is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its employees and candidates for employment regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or other legally-protected characteristic. This commitment includes the provision of reasonable accommodations to employees and candidates for employment with physical or mental disabilities who require such accommodations in order to (a) perform the essential functions of their jobs, or (b) seek employment with Sentry. We strive to build a diverse team, with an inclusive culture where every teammate can thrive. About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
The Safeguards team is responsible for ensuring our models and products are developed and deployed safely. We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Review Tooling team, which builds the systems that humans — and increasingly Claude — use to investigate potential harms and take enforcement actions across Anthropic's first-party products and third-party cloud platforms.
This is a foundational role: you'll own the tools our safety investigators rely on to understand what's happening on our platforms and act on it, as well as the platform underneath those tools. That platform includes analytics capabilities, privacy-preserving primitives that keep review workflows compatible with our data retention commitments, and a sandbox environment where new review interfaces and workflows can be built and iterated quickly. As model capabilities and usage grow, you'll also drive how we scale review through automation — building systems where Claude meaningfully extends what human reviewers can do, while keeping people in the loop where their judgment matters most.
You'll partner closely with policy, operations, data science, and legal teams to ensure our enforcement systems are effective, accurate, and trustworthy.
Key responsibilities
Lead, grow, and develop a team of engineers building investigation, review, and enforcement tooling for both first-party and third-party platform surfaces
Define the vision and roadmap for our review tooling platform, including analytics, privacy-compatible data access primitives, and a sandbox for rapidly developing new review interfaces
Drive the team's strategy for scaling review through automation, including enabling reviewers to use Claude effectively and building toward Claude-assisted and Claude-driven review workflows
Partner with policy, operations, legal, privacy, and data science stakeholders to translate enforcement and investigation needs into reliable, well-designed systems
Ensure review tooling evolves alongside new privacy primitives and data retention commitments, so reviewers can do their work without compromising user trust
Create clarity for the team and stakeholders in an ambiguous and evolving environment
Take an inclusive, equitable approach to hiring and coaching top technical talent, and maintain a high-performing team
Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Anthropic's engineering management community
Minimum qualifications
Experience managing software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and developing engineers
A technical background in full-stack or platform engineering, with the ability to engage deeply in architecture and design discussions
Experience shipping internal tools or platforms with demanding operational users, and a track record of improving their workflows measurably
Experience working cross-functionally with non-engineering partners such as operations, policy, or legal teams
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
Care about the societal impacts of AI and want your work to make powerful systems safer
Preferred qualifications
4+ years of management experience, 10+ years of industry software engineering experience
Experience building trust and safety, integrity, fraud, or abuse-prevention tooling, or other systems supporting human review at scale
Experience designing systems under strict privacy, compliance, or data governance constraints, such as zero data retention environments
Experience integrating LLMs or agentic systems into operational workflows, or building human-in-the-loop automation
Experience building developer platforms or extensible tooling frameworks that other teams build on top of
Experience supporting enforcement or moderation systems across multiple product surfaces, including enterprise or cloud platform contexts
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$405,000
—
$485,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit
anthropic.com/careers
directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Working within the Infrastructure Acquisition Group, you'll identify new opportunities, negotiate complex transactions, and partner across Engineering, Energy, Finance, Legal, Technical Due Diligence, Project Development, and Delivery to bring new AI infrastructure online.
This is a build-phase role on a build-phase team. Many of the standards, playbooks, and processes you'll use are still being written—in some cases, you'll help write them. We're looking for someone who can independently lead complex transactions while helping build the systems that make every future deal faster, more consistent, and more scalable.
What You'll Own
Own the acquisition of AI infrastructure opportunities across the Americas, from market strategy through executed agreements.
Develop regional acquisition strategies and maintain a continuous pipeline of qualified colocation, build-to-suit, and powered land opportunities.
Lead negotiations across multiple commercial structures, from initial engagement through signed agreements.
Serve as transaction owner, leading cross-functional deal teams to keep parallel workstreams aligned and on schedule.
Prepare investment recommendations and present commercial, financial, and strategic analyses to executive leadership.
Infrastructure Origination
Develop acquisition strategies for priority markets across the Americas.
Identify, evaluate, and advance colocation, build-to-suit, powered land, and other strategic infrastructure opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with developers, brokers, utilities, landowners, economic development agencies, and infrastructure partners.
Assess network connectivity as a core site-selection criterion — long-haul access, carrier availability, and route diversity — engaging the Network team for technical validation.
Lead negotiations from initial engagement through executed agreements across multiple commercial structures.
Market Strategy
Develop market intelligence across power availability, utility constraints, network connectivity and fiber availability (proximity to long-haul routes, carrier and dark-fiber presence, and route diversity), permitting environments, land availability, incentives, and competitive market activity.
Identify emerging AI infrastructure markets and recommend long-term acquisition strategies.
Build and maintain a continuous pipeline of qualified infrastructure opportunities aligned with Nebius' growth objectives.
Monitor regional market trends to support long-term infrastructure planning.
Transaction Leadership
Serve as the transaction owner from opportunity identification through executed agreements.
Lead cross-functional transaction teams across Legal, Finance, Energy, Engineering, Network, Technical Due Diligence, Project Development, and Delivery.
Drive transaction schedules, resolve commercial issues, and maintain momentum across multiple parallel workstreams.
Structure commercial solutions that balance speed, flexibility, risk, and long-term value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with the Technical Due Diligence team to complete technical evaluations and assess development risk.
Partner with the Network team to validate connectivity feasibility and factor long-haul, dark fiber, and points-of-presence considerations into site and market selection.
Partner with the Project Development team to transition projects into development and construction readiness.
Collaborate with Finance on commercial modeling, investment analysis, and executive approval packages.
Work with Legal to negotiate agreements that appropriately allocate commercial and development risk.
What Success Looks Like
Build a strong pipeline of qualified AI infrastructure opportunities across the Americas.
Execute infrastructure transactions that accelerate Nebius' expansion into strategic markets.
Develop trusted relationships with developers, utilities, brokers, and strategic infrastructure partners.
Deliver acquisition recommendations that balance speed, cost, scale, flexibility, and long-term strategic value.
Develop regional market strategies that create a repeatable pipeline of future infrastructure opportunities.
Help build the standards and processes the Infrastructure Acquisition Group runs on as it scales.
What You'll Bring
You're comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes where none exist. You know how to move complex transactions forward while helping define how future transactions should be executed.
8+ years of experience in data center site selection, commercial real estate, infrastructure development, or large-scale industrial development.
Experience leading infrastructure or real estate transactions from opportunity identification through contract execution.
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, utility markets, land development, and commercial negotiations.
Experience negotiating land acquisitions, leases, colocation agreements, build-to-suit transactions, or similar infrastructure agreements.
Strong commercial judgment and the ability to balance technical, financial, and strategic considerations.
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting hyperscale, AI infrastructure, digital infrastructure, or mission-critical development.
Knowledge of utility infrastructure, transmission, substations, renewable energy development, or power markets.
Familiarity with the connectivity drivers of data center site selection (power, fiber and network availability, route diversity) and the ability to partner effectively with network engineering teams.
Experience with GIS platforms, infrastructure market intelligence, or portfolio planning.
Familiarity with data center development, permitting, or infrastructure delivery.

At Linear, we're building the product development system for teams and agents. AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built, and we’re shaping the tools this new era requires.
Founded in 2019, Linear has become the platform of choice for more than 40,000 companies (including OpenAI, Coinbase, and Ramp) to plan, build, and ship their products. Today, our team is distributed across North America, Europe, and Australia, and we’re continuing to grow internationally. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and a deep care for software craftsmanship.
As a small team, we're all generalists that work across the full stack (built in TypeScript end-to-end). We’re looking for engineers that thrive in an environment of autonomy and individual responsibility to help us build the future of product development.

About Nebius:
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure.
Built by engineers, for engineers. From large-scale GPU orchestration to inference optimization, we own the hard problems across compute, storage, networking and applied AI.
Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.
The role
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us build the best Managed PostgreSQL for AI workloads. The service is already in production; the mission now is to make it the obvious choice for teams running AI applications on Postgres — first-class vector search, painless migrations from RDS / Cloud SQL / self-managed clusters, and the operational quality of a mature managed database.
You'll work across the stack: control plane and lifecycle automation in Go, Postgres internals and performance, migration tooling, and the customer escalations where it actually matters.
You're welcome to work from our offices in Amsterdam or London, hybrid or remotely from EU timezones.
Your responsibilities
:
Develop the control plane and lifecycle automation for Managed PostgreSQL — provisioning, HA, failover, backups, PITR, version upgrades, zero-downtime maintenance.
Tune and harden PostgreSQL itself — replication, WAL, vacuum, query planner, connection pooling, extensions — and turn that into product features and sane defaults customers don't have to think about.
Build migration tooling that gets customers off AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and self-managed clusters with minimal downtime.
Drive the AI-Postgres story end to end — vector search (pgvector, pgvectorscale), hybrid retrieval, integration with the wider Nebius AI Cloud stack.
Run the service like an SRE — define SLOs, build observability, lead incident response, feed every postmortem back into the platform.
Work directly with customers on architecture reviews, performance escalations, and the production problems that don't fit a ticket template.
Must-haves
:
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time spent building or operating production PostgreSQL at scale (TB+ datasets, replication topologies, real failure modes you've debugged in production).
Strong software engineering skills in Go or another backend/systems language, with a willingness to work primarily in Go.
Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals: MVCC, WAL, replication (physical and logical), vacuum, query planning, extensions, partitioning.
Hands-on experience with the surrounding ecosystem: Patroni / Stolon / pg_auto_failover, pgBackRest / WAL-G, pgBouncer / PgCat, logical replication tooling.
The instincts of an ex-DBA — you can read EXPLAIN ANALYZE fluently, reason about lock behaviour, and know how to handle database corruptions.
Ability to write reliable code and dig into complex problems.
Teamwork-oriented approach.
Nice

Experience with pgvector and pgvectorscale — vector search at scale, index choice, recall vs. latency trade-offs.
Background building managed-database control planes at a cloud provider (RDS, Cloud SQL, Aiven, Crunchy, Timescale, Supabase, Neon, or similar).
Experience writing Kubernetes operators (Go + controller-runtime / kubebuilder).
Contributions to PostgreSQL itself, popular extensions, or the surrounding OSS ecosystem.
AI/ML workload experience — RAG pipelines, embedding stores, GPU-resident workloads.
We conduct coding interviews as part of the process.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Agent Architecture: What primitives do we need to build agents that are steerable and verifiable, but also conversational and empathetic? How do we future-proof this as LLMs evolve?
- Retrieval: How do we ground answers in a customer’s knowledge base? How do we use retrieved context conversationally, handling cases where the answer is unclear or needs clarification from the user?
- Evals: How do we measure an agent’s quality? How do empower our customers to improve agent quality?
- Voice: How do we make our chat agents “just work” over the phone? How do we deliver lifelike conversations at low latency?
- Simulation & Benchmarking: How can we craft a simulation platform to test AI agents against every real-world scenario imaginable? (See 𝜏-Bench https://sierra.ai/blog/benchmarking-ai-agents)
- Content Management: How do we create intuitive, no-code tools that allow anyone to guide and test AI agents?
- Agent Development Lifecycle: How do we adapt traditional software development methodologies to accommodate AI agents’ non-deterministic behavior, natural language interactions, and reliance on large language models? (See Sierra’s ADLC https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-development-life-cycle)
- Generative Agent Development: How do we accelerate agent creation using generative tools like Cursor and Claude Code? Can we build self-improving systems based on real-world interactions, customer-driven feedback, and self-play?

OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.

At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
APPLYING TO RENDER
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.
In order to deliver Render to our users, we must first provide the best internal developer platform for engineers to move fast, confidently, reliably, and securely along paved paths with the right set of tools, observability and guardrails. As Engineering Manager for the newly formed Platform team, you’ll lead a growing group of talented engineers — both established team members and future hires — who are energized by the opportunity to build this space alongside you.
Together, you will modernize and bring Render's internal developer platform and shared production infrastructure (observability, CI/CD, developer environments, storage, and more) from good to great. Because the landscape we operate in is evolving rapidly, we build infrastructure that is modular and adaptable, able to support a product direction that is itself responding to a fast-moving market without over-indexing on any single bet. This team will have tremendous impact; unlike most infrastructure teams that build for internal consumers, our infrastructure is the product. Not only will you be enhancing the velocity and impact of your fellow Render engineers, but the 4.5 million developers using our platform as well.
This role blends strong technical leadership with product thinking: you’ll partner closely with other engineering teams as well as product managers to translate user needs into high-quality, scalable systems that developers rely on every day. You’ll be responsible for guiding technical direction, developing engineers, and ensuring the team ships meaningful improvements quickly while maintaining the high standards that define Render’s platform. The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering background, a deep sense of ownership, and a passion for building products that developers love.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and grow a team of platform engineers, supporting their development through mentorship, feedback, and clear technical guidance.
- Drive execution on key product initiatives from ideation through launch, balancing speed with high standards of reliability and quality.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across engineering practices and team processes.
- Engage deeply in technical discussions, guiding system design decisions and helping the team navigate architectural tradeoffs.
- Stay up to date with relevant industry trends, emerging tools, and developer practices that will inform future team learning and opportunities for investment.
- Help the team break down complex problems into incremental milestones that deliver value quickly while supporting long-term platform evolution.
- Ensure teams maintain a strong understanding of the developer experience and reliability, security, and velocity impact of the features they build.
- Partner closely with other teams like Runtime, Security, and Product to understand needs, align priorities, and ensure delivery of impactful features and solutions through thoughtful technical solutions and product roadmaps.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 8+ years as an Engineer on an Infrastructure or similarly shaped team shipping products or features for other developers.
- 4+ years of experience managing people and developing engineers, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design.
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage deeply in system design, architecture, and engineering tradeoffs.
- Ability to translate engineering goals and user needs into roadmaps and shipped features.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability for both team outcomes and long-term system health.
- Experience improving Reliability and/or Developer Experience through tooling, processes, and team practices.
- Deep experience with open source technologies supporting an internal platform tool or cluster, build & deployment systems, CI/CD, observability, and/or configuration management.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Background working on highly scalable distributed systems or infrastructure platforms.
- Experience on teams managing large fleets of developer environments, sandboxes, or testing ecosystems.
- Experience building platforms and/or products used directly by developers.
If this role excites you but you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you—your unique experience might be just what we need.
BENEFITS
- 4 weeks of paid vacation.
- 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.

In 2026, we launched Computer, the defining product for the new era of agentic AI. Millions of people now use Perplexity to transform knowledge into action, and the Growth team owns the product loops that help them discover, adopt, and build lasting habits around our most important AI experiences.
As a growth engineer at Perplexity, you'll work across the full funnel — activation, onboarding, SEO, lifecycle, conversion, retention, and paid upgrade moments — while also building the applied AI systems that make those experiences smarter. Engineers are responsible for end-to-end projects from training and productionizing classifiers to identify high-intent users, personalizing value discovery, shipping contextual onboarding experiments, or wiring new AI capabilities into measurable adoption and revenue outcomes.
Growth at Perplexity goes beyond incremental funnel optimization. The team sits close to the core product - we translate behavioral signals, model outputs, and fast experimentation into durable product surfaces used across consumer and enterprise workflows. You'll move fast, run many experiments in parallel, and own the outcome end-to-end.
Tech Stack: TypeScript | Next.js | React | Python | PostgreSQL | Eppo | AWS
WHY PERPLEXITY IS DIFFERENT
- Craftsmanship. We build high quality, tasteful products targeting both the AI native and AI curious.
- Ownership. You identify the problem, design the solution and ship it.
- Entrepreneurship. We think like founders, act with urgency, and hustle to deliver for each other and our users.
- Scholarship. Work among highly talented peers, pursuing knowledge and truth, upleveling ourselves, our teams, and our products.
- Partnership. We amplify each others' strengths, break down silos, and give selflessly to help our colleagues deliver excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, build, and own growth surfaces across the full funnel — activation, onboarding, SEO, lifecycle, conversion, retention, and paid upgrade moments — for Computer and every Perplexity product.
- Lead experiments end-to-end, from hypothesis and instrumentation through implementation, analysis, and rollout, shipping many in parallel and learning quickly from each.
- Build applied AI systems that power growth: classifiers for high-intent segments, personalization for value discovery, and AI-driven onboarding and recommendation surfaces.
- Launch vertical-specific experiences (e.g., students, enterprise organizations) that connect new AI capabilities to measurable adoption and revenue outcomes.
- Hill-climb on the metrics that matter: activation rate, paid conversion, retention, and habit formation, instrumented with clean data and trustworthy experiment readouts.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, Monetization, Marketing, and Applied AI to translate behavioral signals and model outputs into durable product surfaces.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience (we're open to strong junior and mid-level candidates with a track record of shipping).
- Full-stack engineering skills, with comfort across a modern web stack (we use Next.js, React, TypeScript on the frontend and Python on the backend).
- Strong execution: you ship many experiments and product improvements in parallel and drive them to a clear outcome.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation platforms (Eppo, Statsig, Optimizely, or in-house equivalents).
- Comfort with SQL and data-informed decision-making — you can pull, segment, and interpret your own funnel data.
- Strong product judgment; you translate user behavior and growth opportunities into simple, effective technical solutions.
- Self-motivated with strong ownership instincts; you propose experiments, ship features ahead of schedule, and drive improvements without asking for permission.
- Genuine interest and adoption of AI products and willingness to learn quickly.
NICE TO HAVE
- Direct experience on a growth, activation, conversion, retention, or lifecycle team at a consumer or PLG/self-serve SaaS company.
- Experience training and productionizing ML models (classifiers, ranking, personalization) and connecting them to product surfaces.
- Experience with SEO, lifecycle marketing tooling, or paid acquisition surfaces.
- Familiarity with subscription and/or usage based billing products, paywalls, or paid upgrade experimentation.
- Experience shipping for both consumer and enterprise audiences.
- Time spent at a fast-growing startup or on a high-ownership engineering team.
- Familiarity with mobile development - Swift/Objective-C/Kotlin/Java, in-app payments, mobile release cycles, Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store guidelines, and rollout monitoring
