About Advantage HQ
Advantage HQ is building the next generation of creator-led growth infrastructure for consumer brands.
We combine creative strategy, creator partnerships, performance content, whitelisting, affiliate distribution, paid media, and proprietary technology into one integrated growth system.
Our team manages more than $850 million in annual media spend and works with a network of more than 400,000 creators across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. Through Meteoric AI, our proprietary intelligence platform, we use data and AI to improve decision-making across creative production, creator selection, customer acquisition, campaign performance, and brand growth.
We work with ambitious consumer brands across health, wellness, beauty, nutrition, personal care, and lifestyle.
The Opportunity
Advantage HQ is looking for a Senior Media Buyer who can take ownership of growth across a portfolio of e-commerce clients.
This is a strategic, client-facing role. You will be responsible for understanding each client's business, developing the paid media strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and working with Media Analysts, Creative Strategists, and other internal teams to turn that strategy into measurable results.
You will be expected to think beyond campaign metrics. The strongest Senior Media Buyers understand how media connects to the broader customer journey, creative, offers, funnel performance, and business economics.
You will have significant ownership over your clients and will be expected to bring recommendations, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities before the client has to ask.
What You'll Own
Own the paid media strategy
You will develop and lead paid media strategies across platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, and other relevant channels.
You will determine where to allocate budget, how to structure campaigns, which audiences and creative angles to prioritize, and where additional investment can create profitable growth.
You will balance short-term performance with the longer-term goal of building a scalable acquisition engine.
Drive account performance
You will work closely with Media Analysts to monitor performance, identify trends, diagnose problems, and make decisions that improve efficiency and growth.
You will be accountable for understanding the reasons behind performance changes, not simply reporting what happened.
You will know when to scale, when to test, when to pull back, and when the problem sits outside the media account itself.
Think beyond the media account
You will analyze the broader customer journey and identify opportunities across the funnel.
This may include landing pages, conversion rates, offers, pricing, checkout experience, creative, customer retention, and post-purchase behavior.
You will work with cross-functional teams to turn these insights into practical recommendations for clients.
Lead testing and experimentation
You will develop a structured testing roadmap across audiences, creative, offers, messaging, campaign structures, and other growth levers.
You will evaluate test results based on business impact and use those learnings to inform future strategy.
You will avoid testing for the sake of activity and focus on experiments that can meaningfully improve performance.
Partner with Creative
You will work closely with Creative Strategists to identify creative opportunities based on media performance, customer behavior, and market insights.
You will help translate performance data into clear creative briefs and recommendations and use creative performance to inform future media strategy.
Own client relationships
You will serve as a strategic partner to your clients, building relationships based on trust, expertise, and results.
You will lead strategic conversations, present performance insights, explain recommendations clearly, and help clients understand the decisions behind the strategy.
You will be comfortable challenging a client's assumptions when the data supports a different direction.
Identify growth opportunities
You will continuously look for opportunities to increase client growth and account value.
This could include new channels, new audiences, new offers, creative opportunities, funnel improvements, or changes to the broader acquisition strategy.
You are expected to bring ideas to the table rather than waiting for direction.
Who You Are
You are an experienced performance marketer who understands e-commerce from the perspective of both media and business growth.
You can look at an account and understand not only what the numbers are saying, but what they mean and what should happen next.
You are strategic enough to lead client conversations but hands-on enough to understand campaign mechanics and challenge the details when necessary.
You are commercially minded. You understand that a strong media account is not defined by a good CTR or low CPA alone. You care about profitable growth, customer economics, conversion, retention, and the client's broader business objectives.
You are comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership of your accounts. You do not wait for someone else to identify the next opportunity.
You use data, technology, and AI to improve the speed and quality of your decision-making.
Experience We Value
6+ years of experience in paid media, performance marketing, growth marketing, or a related field
Significant experience managing e-commerce clients is required
Strong hands-on experience with Meta, Google, and TikTok, with additional platform experience such as Snapchat or X being valuable
Experience managing significant advertising budgets
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute paid media strategies that drive measurable business growth
Strong understanding of funnel performance, conversion rates, customer acquisition economics, and e-commerce metrics
Experience with creative testing, offer testing, and landing page or funnel optimization
Experience working closely with Creative, Analytics, Growth, or other cross-functional teams
Strong client-facing and presentation skills
Experience creating and presenting strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Why Join Advantage HQ
You will work with ambitious consumer brands and have the opportunity to influence growth beyond the boundaries of a traditional media buying role.

We're a fast-growing Series A startup ($34M raised, $10.3M ARR, 75% gross margin) building the unified marketing intelligence platform for enterprises like Spotify, Asus, and Colgate. Our Platform Team owns the core data pipeline infrastructure powering 500+ integrations — and we're now rebuilding how that work gets done, with AI at the center.
We're looking for a Principal Engineer who can set the technical direction for AI-assisted engineering across the Platform Team — someone who doesn't just use AI tools, but defines how they're used responsibly at scale.
About the Role
You'll be the architectural voice on the Platform Team, shaping how we design, build, and evolve our core Python-based extraction and load infrastructure. More than that, you'll own the engineering practices shift: defining how agentic coding, AI-assisted development, and LLM tooling integrate into our delivery process without sacrificing reliability or maintainability. This is a hands-on role — you'll be writing code, reviewing architecture, and mentoring engineers, not just advising.
Responsibilities
Own platform architecture: design and evolve data extraction, load, and pipeline systems serving 500+ integrations at scale
Identify architectural bottlenecks and drive performance/reliability improvements at scale (Kubernetes, distributed systems, ClickHouse/PostgreSQL)
Lead modernization of legacy systems into scalable, AI-native infrastructure
Design and implement agentic development frameworks for codebase maintenance and continuous improvement — owning the full loop from AI-assisted development to automated acceptance and rollout, with proper validation, testing, and architectural guardrails
Make and document key technical decisions; set the bar for code quality, system reliability, and performance
Mentor and level up engineers on AI-assisted development practices — help them ship faster without introducing hidden risk
Collaborate cross-functionally with product and AI teams on agentic framework rollout and new integration capabilities
Requirements
7+ years of backend engineering (hands-on programming), with at least 2 years in a principal/architect-level role owning production systems
You've designed and scaled complex systems, not just maintained them
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development (Claude Code, agentic coding) — you ship with it, know its limits and where they break, and have built agentic frameworks for code maintenance and rollout
Strong distributed systems background: Kubernetes, workflow orchestration (e.g. Temporal), message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ)
Experience building secure systems that are hard to break, hard to breach, and resilient
Experience with reliability practices at scale: observability, alerting, incident response
Solid SQL and query optimization across PostgreSQL and ClickHouse
Comfortable with ambiguity and high-velocity, fast-shifting priorities — we move like a startup, not a committee
Ability to work within EST timezone
Fluency in English
Nice to Have
Track record of defining engineering standards and driving adoption across a team
Experience migrating legacy pipeline systems
Background in data integration or ETL infrastructure
What We Offer
Remote-first environment
Direct impact on platform architecture — your decisions matter
Modern AI-native tech stack with real freedom to experiment
20 PTO days + US holidays
Stock options
Professional development reimbursement
Optional relocation assistance to Latin America after trial period
