About The Opportunity
You will have the opportunity to join a team responsible for designing the industry's leading Crypto trading system, including Spot, Margin, Perpetuals, Futures, Options, and various risk control models such as simple account, single-currency margin, multi-currency margin, and portfolio margin.
This system supports daily trading volumes of over ten billion USD for both retail and institutional clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
The plumbing of the exchange.
Order management, matching, margin, risk engine, lending/borrowing — across both spot and derivatives. When you ship, millions of trades route through your work the same day.
Infrastructure that holds up where others can't operate.
You'll work directly with Legal, Compliance, and local market teams — not to check boxes, but to design systems that clear the highest regulatory bar in finance. That bar is our moat.
Outlearning the competition.
Talk to traders, take apart competing systems, and decide where we lead vs. fast-follow — across crypto and TradFi.
The instruments that show us the market first.
Build the data and monitoring layer that gives us situational awareness of our own stack and the broader industry. If something's drifting, breaking, or shifting — you know before anyone else.
The 3–12 month direction.
Decide what we build next, and when, based on product lifecycle, competitive landscape, and what our capacity actually is — not what makes the deck look good.
Shipping through.
From spec to launch, you're the person who gets it out the door — pulling engineering, design, ops, and marketing into alignment without becoming the bottleneck.
The AI harness and agent architecture for your domain.
Design and ship multi-step agent workflows — tool use, retrieval, evaluation, human-in-the-loop checkpoints — that power how Core Trading operates. Spec agents the way you spec products.
What We Look For In You
Bachelor's degree or above in mathematics, physics or computer science major.
5+ years experience in building sophisticated backend systems in either crypto or Traditional Finance industry.
AI native skillset that allow you to ship at 10x because you automate the work flow first.
Possess rigorous logical thinking, excellent teamwork, communication skills and be able to coordinate resources to solve problems and achieve goals between different departments.
You possess a strong interest in trading, blockchain and the financial industry.
You are proactive, enthusiastic and sensitive to customers' feedback from a product lens.
Fluent in English and Mandarin (to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients / cross-teams).
Nice-To-Haves
Trading experience in sophisticated institutions.
Excel in quantitative research with various mathematics tools.
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
More that we love to tell you along the process!

Category Labs (formerly known as Monad Labs) is a team of systems engineers and researchers on a mission to design and build at the frontier of decentralized technology. We strive to deliver significant improvements over existing blockchain solutions. After raising $225M in series A funding, led by Paradigm, we are growing our team.
We’re the team behind Monad, a high-performance, EVM-compatible Layer 1 whose public mainnet is now live. We write the core software that runs it: a parallel-execution EVM https://github.com/category-labs/monad, a custom state database, and a BFT consensus client https://github.com/category-labs/monad-bft, all developed in the open.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an exceptional compiler engineer to work on challenging greenfield projects that accelerate bytecode execution. For example, you will you will work on a bytecode execution graph builder which will enable speculative pre-execution of potential control flow paths. Your work will require intensive research and engineering and will help accelerate a platform securing billions of dollars in value. Experience with crypto is not expected.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work on greenfield performance-oriented projects in a fast-moving startup environment
- Research ideas for accelerating EVM bytecode execution
- Design and implement performant production systems
WHO YOU ARE
- Proven track record in compiler design and system architecture
- Strong background in software engineering principles principles
- Experience with industry-standard compiler technologies
- Good understanding of testing and benchmarking
- Industry and/or academic experience working on compilers for parallel architectures
- Strong C++ programming skills
- Knowledge of type theory is a plus
WHY WORK WITH US
- Challenging problems: You’ll work on extremely challenging problems with massive impact. See our Blogs https://www.category.xyz/blogs and Publications & Talks https://www.category.xyz/papers-talks for a flavor of the problems we are solving in the real world.
- Huge opportunity: The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) standard is ubiquitous, but existing EVM-compatible chains are very slow. Monad’s core innovations offer developers the best of both worlds (portability and performance) and are a game-changer for mass user adoption in crypto.
- The right team: You’ll be part of a small, exceptional team (engineers and researchers make up 90% of the team).
- Open by default: Our core software is public on GitHub. You’ll build in the open, and your work ships where the whole ecosystem can see it.
- Culture: We’re a lean team working together to achieve very ambitious goals. We are united in our culture of collaboration, low ego, and high-quality output. As an early member of our team, you’ll help to shape our culture.
- Compensation: You’ll receive a competitive salary and equity package.
- Resources and growth: We’re well-capitalized, with backing https://x.com/monad_xyz/status/1777687376136982767 from leading venture funds like Paradigm, Electric Capital, Greenoaks, Dragonfly, and Coinbase Ventures. We keep a lean team, and this is a rare opportunity to join. You’ll learn a lot and grow as our company scales.
HOW WE USE AI
We’re an AI-native team, and we expect engineers to use coding agents and keep up as the tooling evolves. A few things we believe:
- AI is leverage, not a crutch. Review what it generates with the same scrutiny you’d give a teammate’s PR, and own every line you ship.
- Judgment is what matters, not how long you typed by hand. We won’t ask for “N years of [tool].” The stack turns over every few months, so what matters is that you pick up new tools fast and know where and when they apply.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
The base salary range for this role is $180,000 – $250,000. This reflects the minimum and maximum range across US locations. It does not include benefits, token, or equity incentives. We're looking for an experienced, driven Senior Enterprise Account Executive to drive ElevenLabs' growth across German's largest enterprises. Our ideal candidate has a well-established network and a proven track record of selling to C-level and senior decision-makers at major German organizations - and is passionate about the transformative possibilities of AI voice technology.
In this role you'll act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, enabling clients to leverage our industry-leading models and ElevenAgents - our end-to-end platform for building and deploying AI voice agents - to reimagine their customer experience, internal workflows, and monetization strategies.

4. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the conversational AI landscape, including customer use cases, competitive solutions, and emerging trends - particularly as they apply to regulated German industries
5. Demonstrate expertise - or a strong willingness to learn - about conversational AI and how ElevenLabs' voice technology can unlock value across customer support, virtual agents, IVR modernization, and in-app assistants
6. Develop and execute account strategies to expand ElevenLabs' presence within key enterprise verticals, navigating complex procurement and organizational structures.
7. Partner closely with Customer Success, FDEs and Solutions Engineering to ensure smooth onboarding, deployment, and expansion of accounts.
8. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, educating C-suite and senior operations leaders on emerging trends in generative AI, voice interfaces, and conversational agents.
Requirements
- 7+ years of quota‑carrying enterprise sales experience in SaaS or technology, ideally with exposure to AI, generative AI, LLM-based products, or API‑driven platforms.
- Proven success closing deals and managing long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders across business, IT, legal, and procurement.
- Well-connected in the German enterprise landscape, with an existing network of senior individuals and strong executive presence and ability to build relationships at the C‑suite and board level.
- Experience selling technical solutions to product and engineering leaders; ability to translate complex technology into business value.
- Deep understanding of enterprise procurement and legal processes in Germany, with the ability to accelerate deal velocity within complex organizational structures
- Comfort operating in an early‑stage, high‑growth environment, including building new playbooks and iterating quickly.
- Passion for voice and audio AI and how it can unlock transformative value for customers.
- A hybrid of customer & product-driven mentality that prioritizes client satisfaction & scale
- Fluent German, C1/C2 level or business German and English
