You'll own the region's technical sales strategy alongside your sales leadership counterparts, and partner with Customer Experience, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to drive adoption, retention, and expansion across our customer base.

What You'll Do
Recruit, ramp, and mentor a team of presales SE leaders and ICs from diverse backgrounds, balancing hands-on fieldwork with team leadership.
Know our products and demos well enough to step into customer conversations and move deals forward directly.
Own the region's numbers (ARR, NRR, pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy) and run a consistent forecasting cadence with your team.
Act as executive sponsor for key accounts, and support the team's evaluations, demos, deep dives, and POVs.
Work with Sales leadership on customer programs and community/company events that drive adoption and expansion.
Partner with Product and Engineering to represent customer needs and prioritize based on data, not just requests.
Build programs and collateral that help key customers succeed in adopting our technology.
Identify and enable channel partners at the local, geo, and global level.
Hold quarterly career conversations, set clear 30/60/90 onboarding expectations, and manage performance across the team.
Bring insights from the field back into internal process and product direction, and share what you learn beyond your own team.
What You Bring
3+ years in a Director-level role leading a team, plus 5–10 years in high tech in technical roles (Developer, Architect, Sales Engineer/Architect, Manager, etc.)
A hands-on approach to the technology: you stay current on the product and get directly involved in demos, deep dives, and POVs
Experience selling monitoring, data, or visualization products, with enough technical depth to be credible with engineering and executive buyers
A track record of success in a fast-paced, high-growth, remote-first startup environment
Experience mentoring, developing, and managing team performance over time
Experience with a formal sales methodology (e.g., Command of the Message, value selling, MEDDPICC or similar qualification frameworks)
A track record of owning a book of business and directing your team's work to exceed quarterly targets
Open-source selling or cloud-first/PLG go-to-market experience is a plus

About Teleport
Don't wait for the future of infrastructure. Be part of it.
Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company. We're solving one of the hardest problems in security: giving every human, machine, workload, and AI agent a cryptographically secured identity, improving engineering velocity while maintaining security. We make trusted computing simple. This gives you the freedom, power, and autonomy to build and innovate with confidence.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we work with companies like Nasdaq, DoorDash, and Elastic to secure infrastructure for an AI world.
About the Role
We are looking for product focused full stack engineers to work on Teleport itself. You will build the user interfaces and backend APIs to implement them for all parts of Teleport. You will work on the full product lifecycle from working with customers to understand their problems, writing RFDs for your proposed design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
Teleport is an open source project and most of the code you will write will be open source and written in Go (or Rust), TypeScript, React.
What You'll Do
- Making Teleport more efficient by adding server-side pagination and filtering capabilities https://github.com/gravitational/teleport/blob/master/rfd/0055-webui-ss-paginate-filter.md
- Making Teleport easier to use by designing experiences that guide the user through the setup and onboarding process.
- Building user interfaces that support our passwordless https://github.com/gravitational/teleport/blob/master/rfd/0052-passwordless.md vision.
What We're Looking For
- Go experience
- TypeScript and React experience
- Strong understanding of web security https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Security
How We Hire
- You will join 30 minute intro call and we will walk you through the compensation, interview process and requirements.
- You will join a 30 minute call with the hiring manager, and we will walk you through the take home exercise and help answer questions
- You join a Slack channel and submit a coding challenge in Go and TypeScript https://github.com/gravitational/careers/blob/main/challenges/fullstack/challenge.md using GitHub.
Why Teleport
You're joining a company where the problem is real, the team is small, and your work shows up directly in the product. We're not a big company, you won't get lost in a crowd. You'll have the freedom and autonomy to do what you're great at, alongside teammates who care about doing it right and want to see you succeed. The work is collaborative, there's real room to grow, and the mission is one worth showing up for.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we're genuinely passionate about what we're building.
The Benefits
At Teleport, we believe your career is more important than a list of perks. That's why we focus on making your day-to-day the best it can be — giving you the autonomy, access, and support to do the best work of your career.
- Extensive health coverage
- Annual expense budget
- Rest and recovery policies that maximize your ability to recharge
- Investment in your future with retirement savings plans
- Professional development opportunities

At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
APPLYING TO RENDER
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Render's mission is to eliminate the undifferentiated work that goes into building software products by offering an easy-to-use, powerful cloud platform for developer teams of all sizes.
We are scaling rapidly. Our customers have created hundreds of thousands of services on our platform, and the numbers continue to accelerate. Our customers trust us to deliver a secure, reliable and performant cloud — this is our top priority as a company.
By joining us at an early stage, you will design and build the cloud platform you've always wanted for yourself, and make decisions that will shape our product and company, directly impacting developers around the globe.
Render builds and operates our own networking stack end-to-end. We leverage open source and industry-standard technologies, modifying and extending the core components to meet the unique reliability, performance, and scaling demands of our platform.
We are looking for engineers with deep specialization in network infrastructure, particularly with experience in edge/ingress networking and Kubernetes networking internals.
Areas of focus include scaling and evolving our traffic routing and load balancing systems; advancing Kubernetes and Linux networking components to support large-scale, zero-downtime operation; and exploring networking for Render’s next-generation compute platforms.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own Render's core network infrastructure across multiple data centers and cloud providers. Shape how networking evolves as Render rapidly scales.
- Design and build customer-facing networking capabilities that give users greater flexibility in how their services connect, communicate, and how traffic is routed.
- Investigate complex networking issues across the stack, from the kernel and data plane to distributed systems and edge networking.
- Drive performance and reliability improvements through systematic profiling and tuning.
- Partner with engineers across the company to build a platform that is stable, predictable, and secure.
- Participate in our on-call rotation. Help continuously improve how we detect, respond to, and learn from incidents.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 6 years of experience building and operating large-scale networking or infrastructure systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes networking internals (e.g. kube-proxy, CNI plugins, service routing) or similar container networking technology.
- Experience with Linux networking internals (e.g. routing, netfilter/iptables/nftables, conntrack) in production environments.
- Experience building and operating traffic routing systems (e.g. load balancers, ingress, proxies) at scale.
- Strong experience designing, debugging, and operating distributed systems.
- Experience planning and executing high-risk changes with minimal downtime.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience with eBPF or advanced Linux kernel networking.
- Experience developing systems in Go or similar languages that interact with low-level OS and networking primitives.

During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the role
Fivetran + dbt Labs is hiring a Senior Manager to lead the Product Design team responsible for dbt Labs. This role reports to the Director of Product Design.
This is an exciting time to join! As Fivetran and dbt Labs come together, you will help shape a coherent product experience, guide the design team through change, and influence the future of AI-powered data products. You will join a strong and talented design organization whose members care deeply about their craft, the practitioners they serve, and one another.
This is a people management and product leadership role for a design leader who wants to shape technical data products at scale. You will manage and develop a team of product designers, shape the UX strategy for dbt products, and partner with Product and Engineering leaders to define how data teams build, transform, govern, and trust their data. You will lead through strategy, coaching, direction, and cross-functional partnership.
What you'll do
Lead the dbt product design team
You will manage and coach a team of product designers who work across dbt platform and CLI-based products. Designers own the full design process from problem definition and research to UX/UI and partnering with eng/PM through delivery. You will build a culture where designers feel supported, challenged, and empowered to do thoughtful, high-quality work for deeply technical users. You will set clear expectations, give actionable feedback, support career growth, and create the conditions for strong design craft.
Own UX strategy for dbt
You will define and drive UX strategy across dbt’s product experience. You will identify the highest-impact experience opportunities, connect design priorities to product outcomes, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership as a strategic peer in roadmap and product direction conversations.
Provide design direction for technical data products
You will set direction for design work across complex workflows used by technical practitioners. You do not need to be an engineer, but you do need enough technical fluency to understand the domain, evaluate tradeoffs, and partner credibly with engineering leaders. You should be comfortable discussing data workflows, ELT, analytics engineering, developer tools, and infrastructure-oriented product experiences.
Shape AI and agentic product experiences
You will lead design strategy for AI-powered and agentic experiences within dbt. This requires more than adding AI features to existing workflows. You will help the team design systems that make AI assistance understandable, useful, and safe for high-stakes technical work. As dbt builds experiences where both humans and AI agents interact with the same data infrastructure, you will also think about how product surfaces need to work for both personas.
Help integrate Fivetran and dbt Labs design
You will play an important role in co-creating a unified product experience and design culture. This is a change-leadership role. You will partner with the Director of Product Design to merge systems, processes, and culture. You will help designers navigate a new organizational context, build strong cross-functional relationships, and create clarity during a period of product and company evolution.
Build an AI-native design operating model
You will operationalize AI across the design lifecycle (from research synthesis and ideation to prototyping, documentation, and design QA). You will establish shared workflows, quality standards, and review practices that help the team move faster without compromising product quality or consistency. In partnership with the Director of Product Design and Product and Engineering leadership, you will also define cross-functional standards for when AI-generated work requires design review, ensuring clear expectations for human oversight, quality, and continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
Required experience
You have 8+ years of product design experience and at least 5 years managing product designers.
Strong people management skills, including coaching, performance development, direct feedback, and team culture building.
Strong cross-functional leadership with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, Marketing, and executive stakeholders.
Deep care for craft, with a leadership style focused on direction, critique, strategy, and coaching rather than acting as the primary IC designer.
Designing for, or leading teams that design for, technically complex products such as ELT, data infrastructure, analytics engineering, developer tools, cloud platforms, data governance, observability, or adjacent enterprise infrastructure products.
Designing AI-powered or agentic product experiences. You understand the difference between a lightweight AI feature, a copilot, and an agentic workflow.
Experience operationalizing AI workflows for product design teams that goes way beyond AI prototyping. You have defined how designers use AI across the design lifecycle and have established the workflows, standards, review practices, and quality thresholds needed to make AI-assisted work effective at team scale.
Owning UX strategy for a meaningful product area. You can show how your design strategy influenced product direction, not just how your team delivered screens.
Strong technical fluency. You can reason about complex systems, understand engineering constraints, and discuss tradeoffs with Product and Engineering partners.
Experience designing for expert technical users such as data engineers, analytics engineers, software engineers, platform teams, or security teams.

Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.

About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the Role:
As an Account Executive on the Commercial Install Base team, you will own and grow a portfolio of existing Vercel customers.
You will lead the full commercial relationship across your accounts, including account strategy, pipeline generation, expansion, renewal, and retention. You will partner with developers, engineering leaders, product teams, executives, and procurement stakeholders to understand what customers are building and connect Vercel to meaningful technical and business outcomes.
This is a strategic hunting role within our existing customer base. You will use product adoption, usage signals, company priorities, and thoughtful account research to develop hypotheses, create new conversations, and uncover expansion opportunities.
You will also quarterback the broader Vercel team, bringing together Solutions Engineering, Developer Success, Product, and other partners to remove barriers and drive customer outcomes.
Success requires commercial judgment, technical curiosity, disciplined execution, and the ability to create momentum when the path forward is not obvious.
What You Will Do:
Own the commercial strategy, retention, and growth of a portfolio of existing Vercel customers.
Build account plans that identify customer priorities, key stakeholders, current workloads, risks, whitespace, and expansion opportunities.
Generate pipeline through proactive prospecting, multi-threading, product usage signals, and thoughtful account research.
Build trusted relationships with developers, engineering leaders, executives, procurement partners, and other key stakeholders.
Run end-to-end renewal and expansion cycles, including discovery, qualification, technical evaluation, negotiation, and close.
Identify customer risk early and develop clear plans to protect recurring revenue.
Connect Vercel’s platform to measurable outcomes such as faster product delivery, improved performance, stronger reliability, increased conversion, and greater developer productivity.
Partner with Solutions Architects to understand customer architecture, uncover new workloads, and guide technical evaluations.
Mobilize Developer Success, Product, Marketing, and executive resources at the right moments to advance customer outcomes.
Maintain accurate forecasts, opportunity plans, renewal timelines, and customer context in Vercel’s systems.
Use AI, automation, and repeatable workflows to improve account research, prioritization, and execution.
Share successful plays, customer insights, and market feedback to help the team improve.
About You:
We are looking for a commercially driven Account Executive who combines strong sales fundamentals with technical curiosity and a commitment to customer outcomes.
In practice, this looks like someone who:
Has a history of achieving revenue targets through pipeline generation, opportunity management, negotiation, and closing.
Has experience owning and growing existing customer relationships, including renewals and expansion.
Proactively creates pipeline rather than relying primarily on inbound demand.
Can develop a point of view on an account and turn thoughtful hypotheses into customer conversations.
Builds credibility with technical, executive, and commercial stakeholders.
Learns complex products quickly and is curious about how modern web and AI applications are built and scaled.
Can translate technical capabilities into clear business value.
Is comfortable navigating ambiguity, complex organizations, and multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Demonstrates strong account planning, forecasting, and opportunity management discipline.
Uses data, customer signals, and judgment to prioritize time effectively.
Is coachable, collaborative, proactive, and team-first.
Is resilient and energized by complex commercial problems.
Bonus If You:
Have experience growing existing customers in SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, developer tools, or a product-led growth company.
Have sold to developers, engineering leaders, product teams, or other technical buyers.
Have led expansions across multiple workloads, teams, or business units.
Have worked with customers navigating cloud modernization, AI adoption, or application development.
Have experience in a high-growth environment where go-to-market motions were still evolving.
Use tools such as Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or ZoomInfo.
Use AI, automation, or self-built workflows to improve your effectiveness.
Aspire to coach others, own increasingly complex accounts, or grow into leadership.
Benefits & Compensation:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.

ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're looking for a Product Designer to help shape the experience for the developers and teams who build on LangChain. You'll work across our core product surfaces, and depending on where the need is greatest, that could include how developers get from first signup to real production usage, as well as deeper platform workflows like debugging, evaluation, and observability.
The common thread is developers doing technical, often high-stakes work, and needing an interface that gets out of their way. You'll partner with engineering, product, and other designers to figure out where the friction is and design your way out of it.
*This position will be onsite in San Francisco, CA
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Build a deep understanding of how developers actually use LangChain's products through interviews and feedback sessions so your design decisions are grounded in real behavior and address user needs
- Own the full design arc on your features — from early concepts to polished, shipped work
- Work across a range of product areas and design initiatives as priorities shift
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering and other key stakeholders to ship new features quickly
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 3+ years of fullstack product design experience ideally working on developer tools, AI, or complex SaaS products
- Sharp eye for detail, with a strong foundation across user-centered design, interaction design, and visual craft
- A track record of solving hard interaction design problems, particularly around dense technical data
- Data-driven decision making - you are comfortable driving user research, both with internal stakeholders and external customers, and using what you learn to inform your designs
- You take initiative and ownership of tasks end-to-end
- Strong technical acumen - you collaborate effectively with engineers to design things that are both well-crafted and feasible
- Start-up DNA - you thrive in fast-paced, highly dynamic environments
Annual salary range: $145,000-$185,000
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
We are hiring for this role across a range of scope, and the compensation band reflects that. Your offer depends on what we learn about your impact, craft, leadership, and communication during the interview process. We will tell you early where you’re tracking and talk comp with you before offer stage. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.
BENEFITS
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.

Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the Role:
Vercel is hiring a Senior Integrated Campaigns Manager to architect and lead the global, multi-channel campaigns that drive awareness, adoption, and pipeline for Vercel's platform and developer tools.
You will report to the Head of Strategic Events & Integrated Demand Generation and own Vercel's integrated campaign motion. You'll translate product and business priorities into cohesive campaign narratives that resonate with developers, technical decision-makers, and enterprise buyers then orchestrate the cross-functional machine that brings them to life.
Working alongside Product Marketing, Growth, Digital, Field Marketing, Strategic Events, and Sales, you'll unify individual channel efforts into a single integrated motion. Every campaign you run will blend developer-first storytelling with enterprise-grade messaging and span the full funnel from first touch to closed revenue.
If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you're located beyond that distance, the role is fully remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.
What You Will Do:
Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of Vercel's global integrated campaigns, from big-idea development through channel activation, measurement, and iteration.
Translate product and business priorities into campaign narratives and messaging architectures tailored to distinct audiences: developers, full-stack teams, product leaders, and enterprise buyers.
Orchestrate multi-channel programs across paid, owned, and earned channels in partnership with Growth, Digital, and Performance Marketing, ensuring every touchpoint ladders up to a unified story.
Partner with Strategic Events and Field Marketing to extend campaigns into trade shows, regional events, and developer meetups to create experiences that reinforce the campaign narrative in person.
Align with Sales and BDR leadership so campaigns fuel outbound motions with the right messaging, content, and follow-up plays that convert.
Build and maintain the global campaign calendar, managing dependencies, sequencing, and regional alignment across functions and time zones.
Define success metrics upfront, then measure, report, and optimize by running structured experiments across creative, messaging, channels, and audience segments.
Mentor and guide campaign best practices across the marketing org, raising the bar for how Vercel plans and ships integrated programs.
About You:
7+ years of B2B marketing experience, with 3+ years leading integrated or demand generation campaigns — within developer tools, cloud infrastructure or other technical SaaS products.
A proven track record of owning global, full-funnel campaigns end to end, with clear pipeline and revenue impact you can point to.
Deep understanding of developer audiences and the nuances of marketing technical products without dumbing them down.
A strong storyteller who can shape a campaign narrative and hold it consistent across every channel and region.
Exceptional program management skills: you can coordinate across regions, time zones, and a dozen stakeholders without dropping threads.
Data-fluent, with hands-on experience defining KPIs, building reporting, and using performance data to make optimization calls.
Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities evolve quickly.
Bonus If You:
Have marketed directly to developer communities or run technical content programs.
Have launched campaigns supporting AI, cloud, or infrastructure products.
Have worked in both high-growth startups and large-scale enterprise organizations.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.

Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the role:
We're hiring a DevRel Engineer to work inside the product teams building Vercel's agentic infrastructure:
AI Gateway
,
Sandbox
, and the primitives that come after them. You'll sit with product and engineering, build with these tools before anyone else can, and show the world what they make possible. You will report to the Head of AI Infrastructure and can be located anywhere.
If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, even if the role is listed as remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.
When applying, include a link to something you made that taught developers something, a talk, a repo, a post, a video. Applications without one will not be considered.
What you will do:
Build agents and applications on AI Gateway and Sandbox before they ship, then turn what you learn into demos, templates, and open source projects developers actually clone and run.
Teach developers how to build with agentic infrastructure through writing, talks, videos, and live coding. You set the canonical examples the ecosystem emulates.
Shape the products themselves. You sit in the same planning meetings as the PMs and engineers, and your job is to hit the rough edges first and make sure they get fixed before launch.
Own the important pieces of launches: example repos, launch demos, docs contributions, and the first wave of answers when developers start asking questions.
Bring the outside in: track how developers across the ecosystem are building agents, where they get stuck, and what they're reaching for that doesn't exist yet.
About you:
5+ years in engineering, DevRel, or DX roles, with software you can point to.
You've built and shipped AI applications or agents: you know tool calling, model routing, and sandboxed code execution from using them.
Strong TypeScript, and you're at home in the Next.js and AI SDK ecosystem.
You have a public body of work: talks, posts, open source, or videos.
You can take a half-finished API and produce a working demo and a clear explanation in the same week, often times the same day.
You've changed a product roadmap with developer feedback.
Bonus if you:
Maintain or contribute to an open source project other developers depend on.
Have spun up a microVM and have opinions on why isolation matters for agents.
Have shipped something real on Vercel with the AI SDK.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $168,000 - $252,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt are building the open data infrastructure that powers AI agents you can trust.
Fivetran is looking for a Staff R&D Software Engineer to join our fast-growing Fivetran AI team. Your data stack was built for humans — but agents are the new primary data consumers, and they have fundamentally different requirements. Agents can’t intuit context; it must be explicitly codified, governed, and traceable. We’re building the governed context layer that solves this problem: Agents Schema, an open standard for storing agent-ready context directly in the customer’s own data warehouse, and Context Builder, the managed service that keeps it filled and fresh.
This role goes well beyond standard engineering. You’ll research emerging techniques in the fast-moving AI landscape and bring real product and market understanding to decide which ideas are worth pursuing — and then you’ll take what you’ve learned and ship it as production software. We’re looking for a true generalist who is willing and able to wear whatever hat the moment calls for: prototyping a new retrieval technique one week, hardening a backend service the next, then doing SRE or QA work when the team needs it. At this level, you’re expected to be a trusted expert beyond your own team — defining technical direction that other teams build on, taking high-level direction and turning it into concrete plans with a high degree of independence, and using sound judgment to decide what deserves your attention. Fivetran AI operates like a startup within Fivetran, and we need engineers who thrive on that range and ambiguity rather than staying in one lane.
Fivetran is the epitome of data-driven development — our engineering team is focused on building a world class product that:
Builds Infrastructure Agents Can Trust
— join our mission to deliver the governed context layer that AI agents depend on: accurate semantic definitions, traceable lineage, data contracts, and auditable history baked in from the start.
Embraces Open Standards
— help build portable, interoperable data infrastructure: Agents Schema, open formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake), MCP-native interfaces, and connector skills that work with any model and any compute.
Scales Without Breaking
— work to make Fivetran AI efficient at agent scale, where unit costs deflate as volume grows and context retrieval is fast, accurate, and cost-controlled.
We emphasize using no-nonsense tools and take great pride in the simplicity and effectiveness of the systems we build. Our back-end is built on Java, Python, Postgres, and Kubernetes, and our front-end is built on React and TypeScript.
This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our New York, NY office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
Technologies You’ll Use
Python, Java, SQL, dbt, LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), vector databases, BigQuery / Snowflake / Databricks, MCP protocol, React, TypeScript, Kubernetes
What You’ll Do
Research emerging techniques in retrieval, reasoning, and agentic AI, and decide what’s actually worth pursuing for Fivetran AI’s roadmap — then convince others
Prototype new ideas quickly, then take the ones that prove out and turn them into shipped, production-grade features
Define technical direction that spans multiple teams within Fivetran AI, ensuring architecture decisions made in one area don’t create problems in another
Build and maintain both back-end and front-end systems for the Fivetran AI product — from Agents Schema pipelines to the Context Catalog UI
Drive the AISQL capability forward: natural language to SQL grounded in dbt metric definitions, executed natively against the warehouse
Take ownership of production reliability across the platform: on-call rotation, incident response, and SRE work to keep the system trustworthy at scale
Set the bar for testing and QA practices, and do hands-on QA work yourself when it matters most
Use coding agents to automate the repetitive parts of the job, freeing up time for the research and design work that needs a human
Take high-level direction from product and leadership and independently define and execute the concrete plan to get there
Mentor other engineers and raise the technical bar across the Fivetran AI team
Contribute to hiring by participating in and helping shape the interview process
Skills We’re Looking For
8+ years of programming experience across Python and/or Java, with the ability to move fluidly between back-end and front-end work
Considered a trusted expert beyond your own team, able to exert influence and define technical direction across multiple teams
Comfortable reading AI/ML research and turning promising findings into working prototypes, then production systems
Strong product and market awareness — able to judge which emerging techniques are worth building versus which are hype
Track record of taking ambiguous, high-level direction and independently defining and executing the concrete work to deliver it
Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
Genuine willingness to work across the full stack: research, backend, frontend, SRE, and QA, as the team’s needs demand
Writes well-structured, performant code and can dive into unfamiliar codebases to suggest improvements
Experience using coding agents or similar AI tooling to speed up day-to-day engineering work
Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers and influence technical decisions beyond your immediate team
Thrives in a startup-like environment with shifting priorities and a high degree of ownership
Bonus Skills
Experience with LLM-powered applications — RAG pipelines, embeddings, evaluation frameworks, or agent frameworks
Familiarity with semantic layers — dbt, LookML, Sigma, or similar
Experience with the MCP (Model Context Protocol) ecosystem or building AI agent integrations
Background in site reliability engineering — monitoring, alerting, incident response
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or building data connectors
Experienced working in a cloud environment utilizing AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or Docker
Contributions to open source AI or data projects

This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our Denver, CO office.
