We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This is a remote opportunity and we are looking for candidates from the U.S. or Canada. Residents of Quebec are not eligible for this role.
At Grafana Labs, we build observability tools that help users understand, respond to, and improve their systems – regardless of scale, complexity, or tech stack. We recently started a skunkworks initiative with a mission to bring observability to the rest of the business. Our goal is to make Grafana the single best place where humans and AI agents understand and act on real-time data from across the enterprise. As part of this initiative, we are building an AI-native data intelligence system that gives agents reliable, governed access to enterprise context. This system helps agents retrieve the right data, metadata, definitions, lineage, quality signals, and institutional knowledge without every agent builder having to maintain their own brittle context files. The principle is simple: the context system retrieves, agents decide, and data teams maintain the intelligence.
The new team is a mix of seasoned Grafanistas and new hires. We operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership, both as individuals and as a team. Engineers are empowered to make decisions, move quickly, and validate ideas early – while being supported by a deeply collaborative culture that values curiosity, feedback, and cross-functional partnership.
We’re looking for a Senior-level Backend Engineer to help build the first production services for this context layer management system. You will design and ship the core backend architecture that powers ingestion, context storage, retrieval APIs, and agent-facing integrations. This is an early-stage role on a high-autonomy team, so you should be comfortable working through ambiguity, making pragmatic architectural decisions, and building systems that can evolve from internal dogfooding to production-grade SaaS. As the team matures, there’s a broad opportunity to expand or redefine this role based on impact and initiative.
Key responsibilities:
Build the core backend services: Design, implement, test, and operate the first services for context ingestion, context indexing, retrieval orchestration, API access, source configuration, and system administration.
Create a scalable SaaS foundation: Help define and build the architecture for a multi-tenant service, including tenant isolation, usage tracking, quotas, audit logs, background jobs, and reliable service boundaries.
Power agent-facing retrieval workflows: Build APIs and service interfaces that allow AI agents, MCP tools, CLIs, and internal applications to retrieve relevant context, provenance, confidence signals, and warnings.
Work across product and infrastructure: Partner with the team to make practical tradeoffs between fast experimentation and long-term reliability, especially as the project moves from prototype to production.
Operate what you build: Instrument services with metrics, logs, traces, alerts, and dashboards. Use observability tools to understand system behavior and improve reliability.
Contribute to technical direction: Help shape the architecture, service boundaries, storage choices, API contracts, deployment patterns, and engineering practices for a new product area.
Effective communication: You’ll be working in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment, so we need someone who can communicate effectively and contribute across teams.
Ownership and impact: Take full ownership of the AI solutions you develop, ensuring they are not only innovative but also scalable, maintainable, and aligned with real user workflows.
What we're looking for:
Strong engineering skills: Solid experience building production-grade, user-facing software systems. You’re a self-starter, capable of tackling complex engineering problems and making UI design decisions with minimal supervision.
AI experience with a practical mindset: You’re familiar with AI technologies and frameworks, and you focus on delivering high-quality solutions that work in the real world, not just in theory.
Quick iteration and experimentation: You’re comfortable releasing prototypes, collecting feedback, and iterating with a pragmatic mindset.
Proven initiative: You take ownership and drive projects forward, pushing boundaries to find the most impactful solutions. You can deal with ambiguity and are able to define scope where things are loosely defined.
Collaborative attitude: You communicate effectively with your peers. You’re open to feedback, and you bring a solutions-oriented mindset to the table.
Requirements:
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and building applications powered by GenAI.
Proven track record of delivering software that made it into production and is actively used by users.
Exposure to working in cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience using observability tools to understand and troubleshoot system behavior.
Nice to have:
Experience building or working with agent frameworks or multi‑agent workflows.
Experience as a data analyst or work with data platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Snowflake, DataBricks)
Experience building tools for data engineering.

An overview of this role
GitLab is building the most comprehensive AI-powered DevSecOps platform, and this role will help shape how teams move from planning to code in an AI-native software development lifecycle.
As Senior Product Manager, Source Code, you'll shape how planning and managing source code will evolve in an AI-native software development lifecycle. This role is focused on bringing planning and code closer together, so teams can move from requirements and specifications to commits, merge requests, and customer value with speed and quality.
This area is evolving quickly. We're exploring how AI agents can use specifications, context, and human feedback to build the right thing, not just build the thing right. You'll define new product experiences for spec-driven, human-in-the loop development: how the link between planning intent and the code that implements it gets created, stays accurate as both change, and gets used at review time. The hard part is that this link decays. Code moves, specs might not follow, you will define how to make that connection self-maintaining.
This is an ambiguous, high-impact opportunity for a product manager who has strong software development lifecycle knowledge, is comfortable working with technical teams, and wants to help create something new in DevSecOps.
What You’ll Do
Define and drive product strategy for experiences that connect planning, source code management, and AI-assisted development.
Shape workflows where teams and agents move between intent and code in both directions, so a specification can be traced to the merges that implement it and a diff can be read and reviewed against the intent behind it.
Work with engineering, design, and other product teams to build product experiences that support human-in-the-loop and autonomous development workflows.
Partner with teams working on demos and prototypes, including near-term work around spec-driven planning and autonomous development modes, including which decisions stay with a human and why.
Use customer insights, product usage data, and market context to identify opportunities that can deliver customer value quickly.
Help teams ship fast with quality, balancing near-term execution with longer-term product direction.
Explore how planning can better account for reviewing code, reviewing test cases, and validating that work produced by agents matches the intended outcome.
Collaborate across Plan, Source Code Management, Code Review, and AI product areas to reduce friction across the software development lifecycle.
What You’ll Bring
Experience as a product manager working on developer tools, DevOps tools, source code management, planning tools, AI-native products, or related software development lifecycle products.
Direct, hands-on experience with the source code lifecycle, including branches, merge requests, code review, CI/CD, and releases, whether as a product manager or as an engineer, along with a strong understanding of how software moves from ideas and requirements through planning, coding, review, testing, and delivery.
Experience working with technical product areas and engineering teams, with enough technical depth to understand developer workflows and tradeoffs.
A data-forward approach to product management, including experience using data to identify customer impact and guide prioritization.
Comfort operating in ambiguous spaces where there may not yet be a clear market pattern or established product category.
Experience building or shipping with AI tools and agents, not just using them, and a point of view of your own on where AI helps and where it does not across the software development lifecycle.
Ability to think creatively about how AI changes the software development lifecycle and how product experiences should adapt.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially in an all-remote, asynchronous environment.
A bias toward action and the ability to help teams ship meaningful customer value quickly.
About the team
This role sits within the Product organization and will work closely with teams across Plan, Source Code Management, Code Review, and AI. We are focused on helping GitLab customers plan, build, and deliver software in a faster, more connected way.
You'll join a group that is rethinking how planning and coding should work as AI changes the speed and shape of software development. Rather than treating planning, coding, and review as separate stages, we're exploring how to bring these workflows closer together so humans and agents can collaborate more effectively.

With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. Meet Arago and the Aragonians Arago is an AI and computer hardware company whose mission is to drive the course of history forward. We do so by accelerating breakthroughs at the intersection of AI and semiconductors. Founded in 2024 by AI researchers and physicists with deep expertise in photonics, electronics, software, mathematics, and machine learning, Arago brings together a lean team of engineers and scientists from the world’s top companies and research labs. Composed of nine nationalities and operating from hubs in France, North America, and Israel, we believe in great science and fast achievements. Our work is guided by these core principles: Do great things: we deliver work we’re proud to sign our name to. High velocity: speed matters. We move quickly, one step at a time. One unit: we’re all in this together, with relationships grounded in trust, respect, and camaraderie. Arago is backed by executives from Apple, Arm, Nvidia, Microsoft, and Hugging Face, as well as prominent US and European deeptech venture firms and exited founders.
What you’ll do
As a Senior AI/ML Scientist, you will work at the intersection of modern AI models, numerical precision, and novel computing architectures. Your mission will be to develop the methods that allow AI models to run accurately, efficiently, and reliably on Arago’s computing system. This position combines strong quantization and “digital twin” aspects: understanding how frontier models tolerate reduced precision, defining the right numerical formats and quantization strategies, and building software representations of the processor to model the physical effects that impact AI model accuracy. This role is both scientific and practical. You will help shape the bridge between AI models and Arago’s hardware.
Required Skills and Experience
Background in mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related quantitative field. Strong interest and skills in applied mathematics and statistics. Strong experience with quantization of machine learning and AI models. Strong understanding of modern model architectures, including language models, diffusion models, video generation models, and/or world models. Experience studying the impact of numerical precision, noise, or approximation on model accuracy. Experience with inference performance optimization. Good knowledge of computer architecture, GPU architecture, or parallel computing. Ability to build rigorous experimentation pipelines and translate research insights into practical engineering decisions. GitHub profile with recent and relevant projects. Language: English at a proficient level. French is a plus.
Responsibilities
Develop Arago’s quantization strategy for modern AI models, including precision studies, numerical format exploration, and model-level techniques to preserve accuracy under constrained precision. Study the impact of analog noise on the performance and inference accuracy of machine learning models, including language models, diffusion, video generation, and world models. Develop simulation tools to model analog behavior with minimal computational overhead. Build and maintain Arago's internal experimentation pipelines for precision and performance studies on both physical and emulated prototypes. Act as a technical point of contact between clients and Arago: analyze, port, and optimize client models onto Arago hardware, balancing throughput and accuracy. Collaborate with the software and digital architecture teams to support architectural enhancements based on the operator content of frontier model architectures.
Pay and benefits
Competitive cash compensation, with final package based on location, experience, and the pay of team members in similar positions. Meaningful stock option plan offered at the earliest stage of the company (included in the majority of full time offers). Relocation bonus and coverage of moving expenses for relocation within 20 minutes of the company’s location. Healthcare coverage (including family-friendly options), pension contributions, professional development support, and 25 days of PTO, in addition to public holidays. Ownership of a key technical domain, with significant vertical and/or horizontal growth opportunities, based on performance and individual drive. Reimbursement of 50% of the public transport subscription fee. A high-paced, multicultural (with 10 nationalities), and engineering-led environment.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
This is NOT a new grad role! This role is for candidates with 0-2 YOE and can start full time right away.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an engineer at Notion, you’ll help shape core user experiences and accelerate how people discover value in Notion. You'll tackle meaningful challenges with increasing autonomy, crafting code that millions of users will experience. You'll take ownership of projects that matter, make critical technical decisions, and contribute your unique perspective to our product vision. Working alongside passionate experts across design, product, and data, you'll help shape the future of how people work.
We're looking for an Early Career AI Engineer to join as a strategic partner in shaping Notion's AI vision. You'll work on cutting-edge AI-powered features, leveraging LLMs, embeddings, and other AI technologies to make Notion more intelligent and capable.
This role may be aligned to one of multiple AI-focused teams at Notion. Depending on team match and business needs, you could work on:
- AI product engineering: building model-powered features end-to-end (UX, APIs, retrieval, orchestration, quality, and reliability)
- Model & systems engineering: improving model integration and performance (latency, cost, safety, robustness) and building the infrastructure that supports model serving and experimentation
- Evaluation & quality (evals): creating evaluation frameworks and automated/ human-in-the-loop testing to measure and improve model and product quality
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE
- Partner with your team to prototype and ship an AI-powered product improvement
- Own a scoped productionization project: integrate a new model/technique into an existing workflow, add monitoring + guardrails, or improve latency/cost/reliability.
- Contribute to evals and iteration loops: build or extend an evaluation set, run experiments, analyze results, and translate learnings into product or system changes.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- You have less than two years of engineering experience. You have solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems, with a customer-minded, pragmatic approach to solving problems.
- Expertise building and prototyping: You’re excited to build and iterate quickly, and you’ve started exploring AI/ML through coursework, projects, internships, or hackathons. You’re comfortable learning how different parts of a product fit together (UI, APIs, data), have some familiarity with relational databases like Postgres or MySQL, and can take an idea from prototype to a working feature with guidance.
- Thoughtful problem-solving: You approach problems holistically, starting with a clear and accurate understanding of the context. You think about the implications of what you're building and how it will impact real people's lives. You can navigate ambiguity successfully, decompose complex problems into clean solutions, while also balancing the business impact of what you’re building.
- Impact-driven approach to technology: You see technologies as tools to achieve user impact rather than ends in themselves. You care more about building successful systems that solve real problems than about using specific tech stacks or following trends. You stay current with the latest tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI-assisted development environments, you're pragmatic about choosing the right tool for the job, focusing on what delivers the most value to users and the business.
- Proactive communication and high agency: You own your work, communicating clearly about progress and blockers. You don't wait for instructions for every step but rather show initiative in identifying what needs to be done and driving projects forward. You ask questions when needed while independently finding solutions to problems.
NICE TO HAVES
- You have experience with any part of our technology stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and Elasticsearch.
- You care about the interaction between technology and society, the ways in which they inform each other, and our responsibility as technologists to be conscious of that relationship.
- You've heard of computing pioneers like Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay, and others—and understand why we're big fans of their work.

Superb written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for engineering, business, and external stakeholders.
Deep AI fluency, using AI daily to run analyses, build prototypes, and automate workflows. You pride yourself on staying at the bleeding edge of what’s possible.
A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company in a transformative role, helping shape the future of healthcare.
What you’ll get here:
You’ll work on problems that matter, at a company working to change healthcare at scale. You’ll work at the intersection of AI and systemic healthcare reform, where the problems we solve are as interesting and compelling as the mission.
At Garner, you’ll take on real, ambitious problems with real ownership and autonomy, alongside exceptional, principles-based people who genuinely want you to win. It’s demanding by design. You’ll be challenged to stretch beyond what you thought possible and receive consistent coaching to help you grow and do the best work of your career. This isn't the right fit for everyone, and that's intentional. The people here are driven by what's at stake for real people, and that's what gives our intensity its purpose.
Compensation Transparency:
The target salary range for this position is $222,000 - $245,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws.
