About Scorewarrior.
We're a game developer and publisher from Cyprus with one single game in the 4x strategy genre: Total Battle. We're a one-game company on purpose, because in everything we do, we focus

- You have a basic understanding of game design and can turn an idea into engaging gameplay.
- You're comfortable working independently and figuring things out without a detailed brief.
- You care about the performance of your creatives, not just delivering the final result.
- You're constantly learning and looking for ways to improve your skills and workflow.
- You use AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and other GenAI tools in your work.
- You play and love video games.
- Experience with Cocos, Unity, Niagara, or programming languages would be a plus.
Why Scorewarrior?
- Work with a product you love: Total Battle is more than just a job; it's a passion project.
- Join a highly skilled team: We're a nerdy group of talented individuals who love what we do.
- Make a real impact: Your work will directly contribute to bringing new players into Total Battle and getting us closer to that number-one app store spot.
- Stability: Start working with a stable three-year contract with the potential to extend it to infinity and beyond.
- An excellent remuneration package, including a 13th salary.
- Full-coverage relocation for you and your family to Cyprus (Limassol).
- Private health insurance for you and your family members.
- A monthly pre-school, school, and university allowance for employees' children.
- Lunch compensation.
- A sports and fitness allowance.

ABOUT MISTRAL
Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
THE ROLE
As a Research Engineer on the Latency & Throughput team, you will push the frontier of LLM inference by researching and prototyping techniques that reduce latency and increase throughput — from speculative decoding and quantization to KV compression and new attention variants. The team sits at the intersection of research and production: you will take ideas from recent literature, form hypotheses, run experiments, and ship the techniques that prove out into our serving stack.
This role sits between our inference engineers, who own the production serving stack, and our research scientists, who focus on paper-level contributions. You will be more science-focused than a pure engineer: you are expected to generate new ideas, keep up with the state of the art, and implement proof-of-concepts that bridge the gap between academic results and production impact. Some techniques you explore will be lossy or require integration into training — retraining models, tuning architectures, or training auxiliary models to improve inference.
You will work closely with the Inference Foundation and Kernels teams, who turn your validated techniques into production recipes, and with pretraining and RL teams when your work touches model training. Success is measured by demonstrated latency or throughput gains, first at small scale, then adopted in production.
What You Will Do
- Research and prototype inference techniques — speculative decoding, quantization, KV compression, watermarking, and new model architectures — by reading recent literature and forming testable hypotheses.
- Design and run experiments to validate or refute ideas, iterating quickly on small-scale setups before proposing production integration. Demonstrate clear latency or throughput gains without unacceptable quality loss.
- Collaborate with the Inference Foundation team to integrate validated techniques into the vLLM-based serving stack.
- Partner with pretraining and RL teams when techniques require co-training, retraining, or training auxiliary models to improve inference.
Build the right tooling and validation platforms to facilitate AI-driven inference research.
What We're Looking For
- A strong ML background with solid knowledge of LLM training techniques — architecture, tokenization, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
- Hands-on experience with Python and PyTorch; you write clean, experimental code and iterate fast. JAX is acceptable with strong Python proficiency. C++ and Rust are not required, CUDA and GPU knowledge is expected but hands-on experience is not required.
- Research experience of some form: a thesis, publications, a dedicated research project, or efficiency-oriented work in a lab or industry research setting. A PhD is not required, but we are looking for genuine research depth.
- A track record of conducting experiments: forming hypotheses, designing controlled comparisons, and drawing clear conclusions from results.
- Familiarity with the state of the art in LLM inference — you know what has been tried, what works, and where the open problems are.
- Self-starter, low-ego, and collaborative. You are comfortable with ambiguity, negative results, and are eager to take matters into your own hands.
- Inference or serving experience is a plus, not a requirement. Prior work with vLLM, production LLM deployments, or serving systems will help you ramp up faster.
Location and Remote
This role is based in our Paris or London offices (hybrid). We will prioritize candidates who reside in the Paris area or are open to relocating. We strongly believe in the value of in-person collaboration to foster strong relationships and seamless communication within our team. For senior profiles, we will also consider remote candidates based in France. In that case, we ask all new hires to visit our Paris office:
- For the first week of their onboarding (accommodation and travel covered)
- Then at least 3 days per month

Are you comfortable navigating complex software systems, working with coding agents, and defining what makes developer tools actually useful? Do you want to shape how developers and AI work together inside IDEs?
About JetBrains
We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale.
What you’ll do
Agentic development is changing how software gets built. Developers no longer just chat with AI – they delegate tasks, run parallel agent sessions, and steer autonomous changes. As agents take on more work, reviewing and owning the output is becoming the hardest part of the process.
JetBrains Air is our open system for agentic development. It brings tools like Codex, GitHub Copilot, Claude Agent, Gemini, and Junie directly into JetBrains IDEs, providing an agentic-first user experience.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead key areas of Air. You’ll take ownership of high-impact workflows, work closely with cross-functional teams (including software engineers, designers, ML researchers, analysts, DevRel, and product marketing), and turn technical complexity into clear product direction.
Day to day, you will:
Take end-to-end ownership of key parts of Air in JetBrains IDEs, driving work from problem framing and discovery to delivery, adoption, and iteration.
Define and refine core agentic workflows, including task delegation, session monitoring, steering, and code review.
Model complex user flows, system states, permissions, and integration schemes to guide engineering and design decisions.
Maintain a transparent roadmap that balances quick improvements with long-term strategic investments.
Define telemetry, design experiments, analyze product data, and make evidence-based roadmap decisions.
Study how developers interact with leading AI agents and tools to inform product priorities.
Engage with the Agent Client Protocol (ACP) ecosystem and collaborate with partners building on it.
Partner with enterprise sales and support teams to address governance, privacy, and control requirements.
What you’ll bring
A systems-thinking mindset that easily breaks down complex architectures, workflows, and dependencies.
A data-driven approach to product decisions, including hands-on experience querying and analyzing telemetry.
Active personal experience using coding agents and clear perspectives on where current AI tools succeed and fail.
Strong product intuition for complex technical user experiences and developer workflows.
Clear, concise, and collaborative communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and build alignment across diverse groups of stakeholders.
Comfort navigating fast-changing technical landscapes with high ambiguity.
What you’ll need
Proven experience shipping end-user products as a product manager or in a similar role.
Strong technical grounding in software development workflows, including IDEs, git, code review, CI/CD, and package management.
A hands-on technical background sufficient to collaborate closely with software and ML engineers.
An understanding of core AI and agent concepts, including tool use, protocols (MCP/ACP), context retrieval, evaluations, and latency/cost trade-offs.
The ability to write SQL or Python to analyze product metrics and experiment results independently.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
What success looks like
In your first 6 to 12 months, success in this role means:
Driving measurable growth in active Air users and improving weekly/monthly retention (D7/D30).
Increasing agent session completion rates and the proportion of agent-generated changes accepted by developers.
Establishing clear, telemetry-backed decisions across your product roadmap areas.
Delivering validated product hypotheses consistently each quarter.
Contributing directly to JetBrains AI revenue growth and overall IDE value.
Why join JetBrains?

Requirements
We're looking for a Senio/Staff-level engineer with an open mind and a builder's instinct - someone who goes beyond executing tasks and is ready to own the High-Performance practice end-to-end: establish engineering processes, drive R&D, evaluate and champion new technologies, and lead their adoption in production.
The ideal candidate can bridge the gap between business requirements for low latency and high throughput and the realities of existing infrastructure - translating "we need to be faster" into an actionable technical roadmap. You bring a fresh perspective, know how to organize the work, and are equally comfortable optimizing a hardware parameter and presenting a strategy to stakeholders.
We expect 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps/SRE/Systems Engineer in performance-critical environments - and the maturity to grow yourself and grow a team around you.
Linux:
Advanced administration and OS-level tuning — real-time OS configurations, cgroups, CPU isolation, memory management, and low-level network stack configuration.
Hardware Internals:
Deep understanding of CPU power and performance states (C/P-states), Hyper-Threading / SMT trade-offs, TX/RX ring configuration, and the full data path from NIC through PCIe to memory and CPU. Ability to reason about and tune each stage of that path under production load.
Networking & TCP Internals:
Deep knowledge of TCP/IP — congestion control, ACK behavior, buffer tuning, and protocol-level latency sources. Strong Linux networking fundamentals: low-latency NIC configuration, bypass networking technologies (DPDK, RDMA), and market connectivity (multicast feeds, co-location networks, VPNs).
Performance Engineering:
Practical experience profiling latency-sensitive systems; familiarity with tools such as perf, flamegraph, strace, tcpdump, eBPF, and hardware performance counters.
Containerization:
Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including low-overhead deployment patterns and performance trade-offs of containerized workloads.
IaC:
Proven track record with Ansible, Terraform, and Helm in production environments.
Monitoring:
Hands-on experience with the Prometheus / Grafana stack; ability to build latency-aware dashboards and alerting (P99, jitter, throughput KPIs).
Scripting:

Throughput
- messages per second (orders + cancels) under exchange burst scenarios.
System Reliability
- сontinuous monitoring of uptime
Extra Credit / Big Pluses
Hands-on experience with kernel-level optimization: syscall reduction, network stack bypass (DPDK, RDMA, Solarflare OpenOnload).
Background in HFT, algorithmic trading, or other ultra-low-latency production environments.
Experience with hardware timestamping, PTP/IEEE 1588, and precision time synchronization.
Familiarity with colocation operations and exchange connectivity (cross-connects, proximity hosting).
Proven SRE track record with formal SLO/error budget frameworks in latency-sensitive contexts.
DevSecOps: vulnerability scanning, Zero Trust, RBAC, and secure delivery pipelines.
Understanding of business processes in FinTech, crypto, or electronic trading.
Responsibilities
Low-Latency Infrastructure Ownership:
Design, deploy, and continuously optimize infrastructure for latency-sensitive trading systems — market data handlers, order/deal gateways, and risk check engines. Own the full stack from bare metal to application delivery. Define and maintain a reference architecture for low-latency connectivity when onboarding new trading venues, including reproducible configuration baselines, validation procedures, and performance acceptance criteria — so every new venue goes live on a proven, optimized stack.
Cloud & Hybrid Network Connectivity:
Design, implement, and maintain complex low-latency network solutions for cloud provider interconnects - including cross-connects and Direct Connect / ExpressRoute links between cloud regions, hybrid on-premise/cloud topologies, and high-throughput inter-server fabrics. Ensure both latency minimization and fault tolerance at every layer: physical redundancy, failover routing, and path diversity across providers and regions.
Hardware & OS Stack Tuning:
Go deep on the full hardware and OS stack - CPU pinning, C/P-states, HT/SMT configuration, NUMA topology, IRQ affinity, TX/RX ring sizing, NIC offloading, and network stack bypass (DPDK/RDMA where applicable). Understand the complete data path from NIC through PCIe to memory and CPU - and optimize every hop.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Automate provisioning and configuration of high-performance environments using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm - with performance reproducibility as a first-class requirement.
Latency Profiling & Benchmarking:
Systematically profile and debug latency hotspots across the full execution path. Establish and maintain SLA/SLO targets; track P99/P99.9 distributions, jitter, and throughput - not just averages.
CI/CD for Performance:
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that include automated latency regression testing, so performance degradations are caught before they hit production.
Monitoring & Observability:
Design and operate comprehensive latency monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana) - including hardware timestamping (NIC/PTP) and fine-grained performance telemetry.
Colocation & Network Placement:
Research, evaluate, and manage optimal server placements - colocations, cross-connects, proximity hosting. Work closely with network and infrastructure teams to minimize physical and logical distance to exchanges.
High Availability & DRP:
Design systems that maintain stability and reliability under peak load while continuously pushing latency lower - zero regressions, always.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Work alongside algo developers, quant teams, and network engineers to ensure trading strategies execute with minimal infrastructure overhead.
