HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.

As a Growth Marketer, you will independently own an ambiguous but defined Growth problem from diagnosis through execution. You will prioritise the highest-impact actions, coordinate the relevant stakeholders, and connect your work to measurable business outcomes.
Concretely, our team works on missions such as:
- Developing our channels: scaling paid acquisition, growing visibility in AI search and LLMs like ChatGPT, or growing our strategic partnerships
- Crafting the go-to-market strategy for our different segments (e.g. retirees, freelancers, companies,...)
- Producing performance creatives with AI workflows to create assets at scale
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Independently own an ambiguous but defined Growth problem from diagnosis through execution.
- Prioritise high-impact opportunities and make clear trade-offs.
- Design and run experiments, campaigns, or programmes end to end.
- Coordinate the relevant stakeholders and move initiatives forward with limited direction.
- Use business and performance data to make decisions and establish a clear learning loop.
- Adapt your approach based on results, customer insight, and feedback.
- Connect your work to measurable business outcomes.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience owning a meaningful Growth, acquisition, segment, market, or related Marketing scope.
- Strong problem-framing, prioritisation, and experimentation skills.
- Ability to make decisions based on evidence and business impact.
- Hands-on execution combined with an understanding of adjacent teams and activities.
- Ability to work with limited direction in an ambiguous environment.
- Clear communication and constructive stakeholder management.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to expand your scope over time.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English

THE ROLE
Xero reimagined accounting software. Now we’re reimagining how small businesses get paid and how money moves. We're making a critical, multi-year investment in two connected engineering portfolios, Payments Products & Experiences and Payments Platform, and we're hiring a Principal Engineer for each. As our three-year payments strategy reaches a turning point, you'll help shape what comes next, with domain-level influence over the next two to three years.
You'll shape technical strategy across multiple teams, partnering with senior stakeholders to turn complex requirements into scalable, resilient systems. Staying close to the technical detail, you'll set the example for a portfolio of 40 to 50 engineers. You'll also join a global community of Principal Engineers across Xero, driving engineering standards, architecture, and best practices.
You'll Go Bold by setting long-term direction, and Go Together by bringing product, engineering and senior stakeholders with you.
THE TEAMS
Payments Products & Experiences: this portfolio is made up of our Get Paid and Growth teams, builds the checkout, payment methods, flexible payments and AI payment agents that help small businesses get paid on time.
Payments Platform: this portfolio is the engine underneath, with provider integrations, bill payments and a single, product-agnostic API that other Xero teams build on.
Together they move billions of dollars across more than 150,000 transactions a day, a number set to double as we grow into the UK and US.
THE TEAMS ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON
- Tech stack: microservices across web, API and data layers, built in languages such as C#, Java, Go or C++, running on AWS with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
- Current focus: reviewing existing payments systems to work out what to extend, migrate or rebuild, alongside Growth experiments and AI-powered payment chasing.
- Future focus: a multi-year payments architecture covering agentic payment workflows, payments inside AI assistants and recurring payments.
- Global scale: replatforming payment methods and designing global rails and a ledger ready for new markets.
WHERE AND HOW YOU CAN WORK
You'll be based in Sydney or Melbourne, working a hybrid model that blends time together in our modern offices with the flexibility of working from home. Boost days bring teams together to connect and collaborate in person. With colleagues across Australia and the US and payment flows that run around the clock, you'll also work across time zones.
SOME OF THE THINGS WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You bring deep experience designing and running large-scale distributed systems in production, balancing reliability, performance and cost, and any payments or fintech experience is a real plus.
- API-first thinking is second nature, and you're at home across web, API and data layers, with fluency in at least one modern backend language, SQL and NoSQL stores, and cloud-native platforms, ideally AWS.
- Legacy-heavy systems are a puzzle you enjoy, and you make clear, practical calls on whether to extend, migrate or build while staying hands-on through pairing, spikes and code.
- A strong interest in utilising AI tooling is essential, as you will model how to use these technologies to automate tasks and improve engineering outcomes.
- Your background shows a deep curiosity for growth hacking and a proven ability to design and analyse A/B tests that drive product usage.
- You'll Go Further by mentoring Staff and Senior engineers, shaping cross-team initiatives with Xero's Principal community and setting standards that lift engineering across Xero.
Apply even if your experience isn't a perfect match! At Xero, we hire based on your skills, passion, and the unique perspective you can bring to enhance our culture and team.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is looking for a Staff+ Software Engineer to work on the vector search infrastructure behind Claude. Retrieval is how Claude learns about the world. Web search across claude.ai, the API and agentic surfaces, memory across conversations, and the reinforcement learning workloads that train our next models all depend on fast, cheap, high-recall nearest-neighbor search over billions of vectors.
You'll join a small team responsible for the vector database layer that serves Claude's retrieval workloads: its architecture, performance, scalability and cost. This is a foundational role. The team is small, core architectural decisions are still open, and the engineers who join now will shape how the system evolves.
The role sits in our Databases organization and works day to day with the Search Platform team, which owns web search indexing, retrieval and serving, and the Memory & Search team, which owns search and memory inside claude.ai.
We're looking for someone who has built vector or search systems that ran in production, at scale, with real users and a real on-call. You'll be hands-on in the code, and you'll also be the person deciding how the pieces fit together.
Key responsibilities
Own the core of Anthropic's vector database layer: index structures, storage layout, query execution and the serving layer
Own production readiness - benchmarking against exact search, capacity planning, onboarding new workloads, and the operational tooling to run it at scale
Drive the recall, latency and cost trade-offs - quantization, filtered search, index build and refresh strategy, and how compute and storage are separated and scaled
Scale throughput by an order of magnitude as research and training demand grows, and work out whether the bottleneck is architecture, hardware or engineering bandwidth
Extend the retrieval stack toward hybrid retrieval - lexical search and fused ranking alongside vector search
Set the evaluation methodology for the system - recall targets, latency objectives, cost per query, and the regression detection that keeps them honest
Set technical direction for a growing team - lead design reviews, make architectural decisions others build on, and mentor the engineers joining the effort
Share the on-call for the systems you own
Minimum qualifications
Direct experience building a vector database or approximate nearest-neighbor search system that ran in production at scale
Deep knowledge of ANN index structures (graph-based, clustering-based or disk-resident approaches), vector quantization and filtered search
Experience with search relevance and ranking
Strong systems programming skills in a language such as Rust, C++ or Go, including performance-critical and memory-intensive code
Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed storage or serving systems with strict latency and reliability requirements
A track record of independently scoping and delivering ambiguous, multi-quarter technical projects
Strong written and verbal communication, with experience driving alignment across teams with different priorities
Interest in AI safety and Anthropic's mission
Preferred qualifications
Experience with object-storage-backed or disaggregated compute and storage database designs
Experience building or operating full-text search engines (inverted indexes, BM25) or hybrid retrieval systems
Familiarity with embedding models and the retrieval demands of LLM training and inference
Experience using GPUs or other accelerators for index build or search
Prior experience as a technical lead on a database or search infrastructure team
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$320,000
—
$485,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Location: Philippines

🌍 Remote | UTC+8 | Core collaboration hours: 12:00–6:00 PM Manila Time
Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines.
We combine global fintech expertise with deep local market knowledge to make financial services simple, accessible, and useful for millions of people across the region.
7M+ app downloads. 2M+ monthly active users. 7,000+ partner stores. US$310M+ raised from leading global investors.
Manila-based, globally distributed, and hybrid-first — our team spans 45+ countries.
If you want to solve complex problems at scale and impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us.
Southeast Asia’s fintech moment starts here.
About the role:
Salmon’s content (marketing, product, and support) is written in English first. Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya) versions still depend on ad hoc help. We want to change it, and we're looking for a person who will help us.
You can change that. You will write for our users in their own language: the app, push notifications, ads, and the website. Furthermore, you will own the work from brief to publication and become the team’s authority on how Salmon sounds in Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya).
This is a senior role. You set the quality bar, build the glossary and your own part of our style guide, and make the calls yourself rather than follow someone else’s rulebook.
Done well, it could grow into its own small team.
What you’ll do:
- Write marketing, website, product, and in-app copy in Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya): the app, push notifications, ads, and the website. You decide when to translate, when to rewrite from scratch, and what stays in English.
- Adapt tone and register for audiences in different regions. Cebuano work grows as the product expands into new regions.
- Work with Marketing, Content, and Product: take briefs, challenge them, and deliver on schedule.
What you’ll own:
- Own the quality bar for all Filipino-language content, including improving what is already published.
- Review Filipino-language content before it ships, including as a backup reviewer for other authors.
- Build and own the Filipino-language glossary and your part of the style guide, aligned with brand voice.
- Define how Salmon sounds in Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya), and become the team’s authority on regional-audience nuance.
- Own the work from brief to publication and make the language calls yourself, rather than follow someone else’s rulebook.
- Lay the foundation for a Filipino-language function that could grow into its own small team.
What makes you a strong fit:
- Native or near-native fluency in Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya). You write in both, not only translate. Cebuano is required from day one.
- Strong English: you read our English briefs and spot what won’t work in Filipino.
- 3+ years of professional writing in Tagalog or Cebuano as part of a company team (marketing, content, product, media, or communications), with published work you can walk us through: what you decided and why.
- Strong editorial judgment: you evaluate quality, decide on your own, and give authors clear feedback.
- Understanding of how Filipinos use financial products and apps. We value product intuition as much as language skill.
- Experience building or contributing to glossaries, style guides, or tone-of-voice guidelines, and working experience with localization tools (Lokalise, Phrase, Smartling, or Crowdin) and Figma.
What we offer:
Ownership and flexibility
- Fully remote work with core collaboration hours from 12:00 to 6:00 PM Manila time (UTC+8)
- Company-provided tools and equipment
Health and time off
- Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits
- Access to an internal mental health support specialist
- 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days
Growth and team experience
- Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications
- Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person
- High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia
We believe strong teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and points of view. Salmon is an equal opportunity employer, and we make hiring decisions based on skills, experience, and potential.

ABOUT AVOCA
Avoca is transforming how home service companies engage with their customers. Our AI-powered conversational agents handle every high-value inbound call, from booking jobs, qualifying leads, and driving higher revenue, all at a speed and consistency unmatched by human call centers.
We're a Series B startup backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech Capital, General Catalyst, and other top-tier investors, with $125M raised and a $1B valuation. We grew 10x in 2025 and have scaled to 170+ employees in under two years across our NYC headquarters and Santa Barbara office.
In a $1T+ market where 85% of missed calls go to competitors, we're building the category-defining platform for AI-driven customer engagement, serving the largest brands in home services. With high-energy, in-office teams in both locations, every hire here has an immediate and visible impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Avoca, you'll fuel our growth engine by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers across the Australian home services industry. You'll run high-velocity outbound programs, convert interest into meetings for our Account Executives, and help evangelize Avoca's impact by turning missed calls into booked jobs and measurable revenue.
You'll pioneer and build the market. This is a greenfield opportunity: you'll generate Avoca's pipeline in Australia from day one. It's ideal for someone who thrives on speed, experimentation, and impact. You'll own pipeline generation end-to-end: target the right segments, craft compelling outreach, book high-quality meetings, and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product to turn customer pain into Avoca wins.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prospect and qualify leads across Australian home services segments, serving as the first point of contact and trusted resource for prospects evaluating Avoca.
- Run high-volume, multi-channel outbound (LinkedIn, email, calls, events) to build pipeline and consistently exceed meeting and SQL targets.
- Tailor outreach to customer goals and business models; articulate Avoca's value in booking jobs, capturing missed demand, and lifting revenue.
- Partner with Account Executives to schedule demos, share context, and ensure smooth handoffs that convert into opportunities and closed-won deals.
- Travel to industry conferences and events to generate leads, book demos on-site, and represent Avoca with professionalism and urgency.
- Conduct discovery to qualify fit, pain, and timing; map stakeholders across Operations, Marketing, and Executive teams.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product to refine messaging, share market feedback, and continuously improve playbooks and cadences.
- Track activity and outcomes with precision; measure and report on KPIs to guide prioritization and iterate quickly.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 1–3 years in an SDR, BDR, or outbound sales role, ideally at a high-growth startup.
- A track record of hitting or exceeding outbound meeting targets, with meetings that actually convert downstream.
- Confidence on the phone and in writing: you can articulate value clearly whether it's a 30-second cold call or a personalized email.
- Comfort with high volume; you can run 50+ touches a day without sacrificing quality.
- CRM discipline: clean data, updated stages, notes that your AEs can actually use.
- Excited to work with a high-ownership team across multiple time zones.
- Nice to have: experience selling AI, SaaS, or into the home services vertical.
- BONUS: Market/domain knowledge and/or an existing trades network.
WHO YOU ARE
- You're competitive with yourself. You track your numbers, know your conversion rates, and are always looking for the next lever to pull.
- You handle rejection well — not because you ignore it, but because you treat it as signal. A "no" teaches you something about messaging, timing, or targeting.
- You prepare before you pick up the phone. You've looked at the prospect's website, understand their business model, and can speak to their specific pain.
- You're a clear communicator who keeps AEs, managers, and cross-functional partners in the loop without being asked.
- You thrive in ambiguity and create structure: you're energized by a blank page, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and build repeatable process where none exists.
- You have a high motor: self-driven, relentless in pursuit of pipeline, and quick to act without waiting to be told.
- You're already embedding AI into your go-to-market in a systematic way, across prospecting, research, outreach and list building, and can show the workflows you've built and the results they drive.
BENEFITS
- Flexible PTO plus AU holidays
- Company-wide off-sites
- Travel to HQ
- Competitive medical, dental, and health insurance
- All core tools and software provided

As an Account Executive at Avoca, you'll own the full sales cycle, from first conversation to close, for high-value home services operators in Australia. You'll work directly with founders, owner-operators, and revenue leaders to understand their call flows, conversion challenges, and growth goals, and help them adopt Avoca as a mission-critical revenue engine.
You'll pioneer and build the market. This is a greenfield opportunity: you'll shape how Avoca sells in Australia from day one. It's ideal for someone who thrives in high-paced sales environments and is comfortable selling a technical product.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle for mid-market and enterprise home services customers across Australia.
- Run discovery calls to deeply understand customer operations, call workflows, and revenue pain points.
- Deliver tailored demos and solution pitches that map Avoca's AI to customer outcomes.
- Build pipeline through outbound, inbound, and channel partners.
- Manage pipeline, forecasts, and deal progression with high accuracy.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to close complex deals.
- Provide feedback from the field to help shape product roadmap and positioning.
- Hit and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 2-5+ years of closing experience in B2B SaaS (AI, vertical SaaS, or operational software preferred).
- Proven ability to run complex sales cycles and close high-ACV deals.
- Strong discovery skills: you ask great questions and listen closely.
- Comfort selling to operators, founders, owner-operators, and revenue leaders.
- Clear, confident communicator who can explain technical concepts simply to varied stakeholders.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable in fast-moving environments.
- Excited to work with a high-ownership team across multiple time zones.
- BONUS: Market/domain knowledge and/or an existing trades network.
WHO YOU ARE
- Experience selling to home services, SMBs, or operations-heavy businesses.
- Familiarity with call centers, customer support, or revenue operations.
- Experience working in early-stage startups.
- Thrive in ambiguity and create structure: you're energized by a blank page, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and build repeatable process where none exists.
- Have a high motor: self-driven, relentless in pursuit of pipeline, and have a competitive mindset.
- Are already embedding AI into your go-to-market in a systematic way, across prospecting, research, outreach, call prep and pipeline management, and can show the workflows you've built and the results they drive.
BENEFITS
- Flexible PTO plus AU holidays
- Company-wide off-sites
- Travel to HQ
- Competitive medical, dental, and health insurance
- All core tools and software provided
Compensation: The expected on target earnings for this role is A$300,000–A$365,000, with final compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications determined during the interview process. Avoca's total compensation package includes base salary, bonus, equity, and a comprehensive suite of benefits and perks.
