Hi, I’m Paul, VP of Engineering at
Customer.io
. We’re looking for curious, driven Fullstack (Product) Engineers who want to own big things and delight our customers. You’ll design, build, and ship the core product experiences our customers rely on - while helping the team push boundaries on what great communication tools can do.
About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies - from scrappy startups to global brands - use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day. Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive.
We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data. Under the hood: Go, React, Ember and AI help us ship fast and scale with confidence.
What We Value
Ownership
You own problems end to end. You move fast, act like an owner, and thrive in ambiguity. You've led complex projects before, whether officially or not, and you're ready to do it again.
Engineers with product taste
You think like a user, not just an engineer. You care about frontend polish, backend performance, and everything in between.
A healthy skepticism for “the way things are done”
You bring rigor and creativity. Best practices matter - but never more than forward motion.
What You’ll Do
Build fullstack features in Go, React, and Ember that power key customer workflows
Collaborate with others to turn ideas into shipped customer value
Share knowledge and raise the bar through sharing your progress publicly with short videos, thoughtful writing, and mentorship
Participate in an on-call rotation as required, supporting the reliability of the systems you build
Help evolve our systems to scale with more customers, messages, and use cases
Use AI agents to make multi-file changes by scoping the work, writing the prompt, and verifying the output
What we're looking for
7+ years of experience building and scaling backend services and product-facing features
Fluency in TypeScript, React (or similar), and a statically typed backend language like Go
A strong care for frontend polish, backend performance, and the overall customer experience
Proficiency with APIs, relational databases, and writing testable, performant code
A bias for action over perfection, and pride in owning technical decisions
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $150,000 - $250,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.
We know our people are what make us great, and we’re committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family. We also offer 16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

Hiring Manager Interview (60 mins) - Talk with one of our hiring managers about your working style and a project you've owned end-to-end, plus a short AI-assisted coding exercise.
System Design Interview (60 mins) - Design a system end-to-end. We're looking for how you think, communicate tradeoffs, and drive through ambiguity.
Take-Home Assignment - Complete a short, realistic task similar to what you’d work on here.
Assignment Review Calls (2 x 60 mins) - Walk us through your work and discuss tradeoffs, priorities, and how you’d iterate.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As a Partner Sales Manager for Systems Integrators at Anthropic, you'll own a portfolio of global and regional SI partners and be responsible for the revenue they drive. This role sits at the intersection of partnerships and sales — you'll build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders at firms like Accenture, Deloitte, and PwC, and align on joint go-to-market plans. Your main stakeholders will be sales leaders at Anthropic - helping them to land and expand enterprise deals where partner involvement is the difference between winning and not.
This is an early-stage motion, which means the playbook is still being written. You'll have real influence over how we engage SIs, what good looks like for partner-sourced pipeline, and how we equip integrators to build durable Claude practices inside their organizations. You'll report to the Head of Partner Sales and work closely with Sales, Solutions Architecture, Customer Success, and Product to make sure our partners have what they need to close — and to deliver transformative AI solutions for their clients.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with Sales Leaders, Account Executives and Solutions Architects, bringing the partner into the sales cycle at the right moments and ensuring clear roles, clean handoffs, and shared accountability for outcomes
Build relationships across multiple levels of the partner organization — from practice leads and delivery teams to alliance executives — and serve as their primary point of contact at Anthropic
Own the commercial relationship with a portfolio of assigned SI partners, driving partner-sourced and partner-influenced revenue against defined targets
Develop and execute joint go-to-market plans with each partner, including target account mapping, pipeline generation activities, and co-sell motions with Anthropic's direct sales team
Collaborate with enablement and program teams to get your partners trained, certified, and equipped with the materials they need to position Claude effectively
Track pipeline health, forecast partner-attached revenue, and surface blockers early so cross-functional teams can help unblock them
Gather signal from partner interactions — what's landing, what's missing, where clients are pushing back — and feed it into product and go-to-market planning
Contribute to the development of partner sales processes, playbooks, and best practices as the function scales
You may be a good fit if you have:
7+ years of experience in partner sales, channel sales, alliances, business development or direct sales at a technology company where partners are heavily involved
A demonstrated track record of driving revenue through partners — you can point to pipeline you built, deals you influenced, and relationships that outlasted any single transaction
Strong commercial instincts, including comfort structuring co-sell agreements, navigating multi-party deal dynamics, and knowing when to push and when to let the partner lead
Experience operating in early-stage or high-growth environments where processes are still forming and you're expected to help build them
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels, from partner practitioners to alliance executives
A collaborative working style — you're energized by cross-functional work and understand that partner sales only works when Sales, Product, and Delivery are aligned

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an Operations Engineer who is technically curious, detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and proactive to join our Global Technical Operations (GTO) team. The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to monitor and investigate production issues across a global platform, help improve how we detect and respond to incidents, analyze trends and patterns in production data, and contribute to better communication with partners and stakeholders during incidents.
Strong troubleshooting skills, observability platform experience, and scripting ability are essential, along with experience in SRE, DevOps, production operations, or NOC environments supporting high-availability platforms (payments, e-commerce, SaaS, or gaming). The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English — both written and verbal — when writing incident updates, shift handoffs, and status page communications will be key to your success in this role.
If you're passionate about keeping critical systems running and continuously improving operational processes and love being the first to spot issues and the one who drives them to resolution for game developers and players worldwide, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary dashboard monitor during your shift — continuously watch the GTO Operational Dashboard in Datadog, detect anomalies by correlating signals across APM, logs, metrics, synthetic tests, and Real User Monitoring, and determine whether alerts warrant an incident ticket or can be resolved through immediate investigation.
Triage and investigate production incidents — create incident tickets in JIRA Service Management, perform initial technical investigation using Datadog (traces, logs, infrastructure and application metrics), determine blast radius and likely root cause domain, and route to the correct team (Product SRE, Infrastructure SRE, or Engineering) using the smart routing model.
Own lower-severity incidents end-to-end from detection through resolution — diagnose, execute runbook procedures, and resolve without escalation where possible. Escalate promptly when an incident is unresolved within defined thresholds or requires a code-level fix.
Support the TSO Lead during major incidents as the technical right hand in the war room — surface real-time data (error rates, impact scope, deployment history, related alerts), maintain the incident ticket with live timeline entries and linked evidence, and execute mitigation actions as directed.
Draft incident communications under TSO Lead direction, including internal Slack updates, stakeholder notifications, and customer-facing status page updates (status.xsolla.com). Support clear, timely communication throughout the incident lifecycle.
During non-incident periods, analyze incident trends, recurring issues, and production bugs — compile data from Datadog, JIRA, and Slack, identify patterns, and contribute findings to regular reports for product and engineering teams.
Compile incident timelines and draft initial PIR documents for Post-Incident Review preparation. Track PIR action items post-session and flag overdue items to the TSO Lead.
Build and maintain operational automation (alert enrichment scripts, incident templates, Slack workflows, dashboard widgets) and contribute to runbook development — documenting new resolution procedures so they can be repeated by any Operations Engineer on any shift.
Conduct structured shift handoffs covering active incidents, at-risk services, upcoming deployments, and follow-up items. Participate in knowledge transfer sessions with SREs to continuously expand independent resolution capability.
Cover for the TSO Lead during vacations, absences, or emergencies — including severity classification, escalation decisions, stakeholder communications, and basic Incident Commander functions.
Publish health reports of critical apps periodically.
Qualifications and Skills
4+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, production operations, NOC, or technical operations in a high-availability environment. Experience with platforms that handle payments, e-commerce, SaaS, or gaming workloads is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and investigation skills — ability to take an alert or user-reported symptom and methodically trace it through the stack: application logs, APM traces, infrastructure metrics, database queries, and network paths.
Hands-on experience with Datadog (or equivalent observability platform: Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, Elastic) — navigating APM, building log queries, reading infrastructure dashboards, interpreting SLO burn rates, and configuring monitors and alerts.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Python, Go, or Bash. You will write automation scripts, build operational tooling, and work with APIs.
Clear written and verbal communication skills in English — ability to write incident tickets, investigation notes, Slack updates, shift handoff reports, status page communications, and PIR drafts that are clear, concise, and useful to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable) — understanding of pods, deployments, services, ingress, node health, and how to investigate Kubernetes-related production issues.
Understanding of SLOs, error budgets, and burn-rate alerting — knowing what a multi-window burn-rate alert means, how error budgets deplete, and how SLO breaches translate into incident severity.
Experience with incident management tooling: JIRA or JIRA Service Management, PagerDuty or OpsGenie, Slack, and Confluence.
Experience with or strong interest in AI/ML-assisted operations: anomaly detection, alert correlation, predictive monitoring, or automated remediation.
Comfort with 24x7 shift-based operations as part of a follow-the-sun model with handoff overlaps. Weekend on-call (rotating) is required.
Nice to Have
Experience in the gaming, payments, or fintech industry — particularly environments where transaction processing, checkout flows, or player-facing services must meet strict uptime requirements.
Familiarity with Datadog Service Catalog, synthetic monitoring, and RUM; exposure to database operations (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka); and experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling (GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Helm).
JIRA Service Management administration experience (workflows, automation rules, SLA timers) or ITIL Foundation certification — practical experience matters more than credentials.

Responsibilities
Serve as Incident Commander for major incidents — coordinating cross-functional response teams, driving investigation, making escalation decisions, and ensuring incidents are resolved within SLA targets.
Own all incident communications: draft and send clear, timely updates to senior leadership, Customer Success, and partner/customer contacts throughout the incident lifecycle, and manage customer-facing status page updates (status.xsolla.com).
Facilitate blameless Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) for major incidents — leading root cause identification, assigning corrective actions with clear owners and deadlines, and tracking them to closure.
During non-incident periods, proactively analyze incident trends, recurring issues, and production bugs — identify patterns, create Problem tickets, and report findings and recommendations to product and engineering teams on a regular cadence.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English — ability to draft clear, concise executive updates at 3 AM under pressure, facilitate blameless PIRs, present operational metrics to senior leadership, and communicate incident status to customers and partners with clarity and professionalism.
Strong ITIL foundation — understanding of incident, problem, and change management lifecycles with practical experience implementing or operating ITIL-aligned workflows.
Technical depth across the observability stack — ability to read and interpret logs, traces, and metrics in Datadog (or equivalent: Grafana, Splunk, New Relic). Understanding of APM, SLOs, error budgets, burn-rate alerting, and synthetic monitoring.
Hands-on experience with incident tooling: Datadog, PagerDuty or OpsGenie, JIRA or JIRA Service Management, Slack, and Confluence.
Analytical mindset — ability to identify trends, patterns, and recurring issues from incident data and translate them into actionable recommendations for product and engineering teams.
Experience with SLA/SLO-driven operations where MTTD, MTTA, and MTTR are measured, reported, and improved.
Experience with or strong interest in AI/ML-assisted operations: anomaly detection, alert correlation, predictive alerting, automated remediation, or self-healing automation.
Comfort with 24x7 shift-based operations as part of a follow-the-sun model with handoff overlaps. Weekend on-call (rotating) for critical severities is required.
Nice to Have
Experience in the gaming, payments, or fintech industry, and with customer/partner-facing incident communications and status page management.
JIRA Service Management administration experience (workflows, SLA timers, automation rules) and familiarity with Datadog Service Catalog, scorecards, and SLOs — especially burn-rate alerts and multi-window SLOs.

- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- A passion for open source and the developer community.
- Experience creating developer tooling and an eye for how to design for developers.
BONUS POINTS:
- Experience with ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, or other analytical/OLTP databases.

What You’ll Be Doing
Business & Team Leadership
Own the overall frontend team across core business verticals including Trading and Payment, covering hiring, development, and pipeline building. Partner effectively with Product, Backend, Security, and Compliance — driving cross-functional outcomes through technical judgment, not just execution.
Product Delivery & Technical Execution
Lead technical design and delivery for core business features including trading system frontend experience, wallet and asset management, AI-powered trading products, payment gateway integrations, and KYC/AML frontend implementation. Stay deeply sensitive to business metrics and user experience, making sound trade-offs between speed and quality.
Product & Engineering Thinking in the AI Era
Demonstrate deep understanding of how AI is reshaping product paradigms — changing user expectations, product form factors, and R&D efficiency. Integrate AI into product decisions and design, not merely as a productivity tool.
Technical Judgment & Standard-Setting
Drive tech stack alignment and evolution. Proactively identify and address technical risk. Establish high engineering quality standards in complex crypto security contexts — private key security, frontend attack prevention, compliance auditing, and more.
Cross-Team Influence
Build dual technical and business influence at the company level. Communicate technical value and business judgment clearly to engineers, product managers, and senior leadership alike. Participate in industry engagements to attract high-potential talent who are genuinely passionate about crypto.
What We Look For In You
Bachelor's degree or above in CS or related field; 10+ years of engineering experience including 5+ years managing technical teams; solid full-stack capabilities with frontend depth
Deep command of core frontend technologies (React/Vue internals, engineering toolchains, performance optimization, cross-platform solutions), with enough backend and API fluency to drive substantive technical discussions
Proven track record leading frontend for products with DAU 1M+ in high-concurrency, high-availability environments
Demonstrated experience driving cross-team collaboration and standard adoption through technical influence rather than organizational authority
Genuine understanding of and enthusiasm for crypto — familiar with CEX/DEX trading mechanics, Web3 wallet and signing mechanisms, and mainstream payment gateway ecosystems.
Deep understanding of how AI is reshaping product design; can integrate AI into product decisions rather than treating it purely as a development accelerator
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
More that we love to tell you along the process!
