About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
At Wolt, world-class customer service isn’t an afterthought, it’s at the heart of everything we do. We’ve built our reputation on delivering fast, thoughtful, and high-quality support, and we’ve done that by investing deeply in our own technology. Rather than just reacting to problems, we aim to solve them before our customers and partners even notice. Behind the scenes, that means building systems that scale globally, handle real-world complexity, and empower support teams to do their very best work.
This is where the Multilingual Intelligence & Resolution Automation (MIRA) team comes in. The team is on a mission to make customer support truly borderless. We’re building intelligent, AI-powered systems used across Wolt, DoorDash, and Deliveroo, including a real-time translation engine that supports seamless conversations across 20+ languages. Processing hundreds of requests per minute and powered by modern cloud infrastructure and state-of-the-art LLMs, this system enables borderless support and helps create experiences that feel natural, human, and native, no matter where you are in the world. And we’re only just getting started.
What you’ll be doing
Design, build, and operate scalable backend services powering real-time, customer-facing systems
Develop and evolve AI-powered translation capabilities using LLMs in production
Help build the tooling and infrastructure needed to evaluate models across quality, latency, and cost
Collaborate closely with product, applied science, frontend, and platform teams to turn complex support problems into robust user-facing systems
Take ownership of technical decisions and help shape the architecture and future direction of the system
Improve the performance, reliability, and operational readiness of services handling real production traffic
Continuously explore better ways of working, including leveraging AI tools to improve development workflows
Our humble expectations
You have strong backend development skills in Python or Go (interest in other tech is highly appreciated)
You actively leverage modern AI tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT or similar) to enhance your productivity, code quality, and day-to-day development workflow.
You have experience with cloud platforms (AWS or similar), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), observability tools (such as DataDog), and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
You're a pragmatic problem-solver with a growth mindset, eager to step outside your comfort zone and continuously learn.
You're comfortable working with real-world data and its nuances.
You have solid experience designing, building, and integrating quality software (microservices) at scale within a complex domain.
What we offer
A chance to build something that truly matters, technology that enables people to connect and solve problems across languages and borders
The opportunity to work with AI and LLMs in real, high-impact production use cases
Being part of a global engineering organization of 2000+ people, we aim to build none other than the best-in-the-world engineering team here.
You’ll get to work in a company culture where we take ownership beyond the obvious, do common things uncommonly well, we think big but stay humble, do right by people, we treat others kindly and justly, recognise that if we don’t learn, we won’t stay still but fall behind, and keep in mind that Luke was Yoda’s greatest achievement.
Join us for an exciting journey of creating technology that brings joy, simplicity, and earnings to the neighbourhoods of the world!

Product engineering at Descript means owning outcomes, not just tickets — you'll take a problem from a rough idea to a shipped, measured result, working closely with product, design, and the rest of engineering along the way. We organize around a few teams, each responsible for a distinct part of the product:
Editor:
owns our video editor. Help make traditionally complex video-editing workflows simpler, craft cutting-edge AI into practical creative tools, and build on our vision of turning a text-editor for video into a tool that puts video in everyone's communication toolkit.
Growth & Monetization:
owns onboarding and activation, growth loops and in-product experiments, plans and pricing, checkout, billing, and AI credits. Help turn visitors into customers and customers into revenue.
Media:
owns project and media management (plus importing, managing, manipulating, compositing, transitions, shaders, visual and audio effects, rendering, exporting, and more!).
AI:
owns our agentic co-editor, Underlord, and the external API that allows it to scale. Help improve Underlord's harness to enhance its powers, polish its UX and editor integration, and add more capability to our API to unleash Underlord on the world.
Regardless of your team you’ll have the opportunity to design thoughtful full-stack systems that work reliably and deliver value to new and existing users.
What You’ll Do
Own meaningful product surfaces end to end.
Take problems from definition through design, implementation, launch, measurement, and maintenance. Improve core Editor workflows, shape the self-serve journey from signup through renewal, or help make Underlord more sentient.
Shape the product, not just the implementation.
Partner with Product and Design to propose better interactions, expose constraints, choose the right metrics, and find simpler paths to user outcomes.
Build ambitious full-stack systems with care.
Create responsive, reliable experiences. Stretch from TypeScript and React to NodeJS and Temporal to first and third party integrations to get the job done.
Improve how the team learns and ships.
Form hypotheses, instrument your work, release incrementally, and read results honestly. Strengthen the tooling, standards, tests, observability, and release practices that help the team move quickly without compromising quality.
Raise the team’s technical ambition.
Provide architectural direction, thoughtful reviews, mentoring, and clear human writing.
What You Bring
Required:
You have 5+ years of experience building and shipping customer-facing products, including end-to-end features that measurably improved user or business outcomes.
You effectively leverage agents to multiply your impact and think critically about how to better harness AI in your work.
You’ve owned features/experiments end to end, from planning through launch, and leveraged analytics and metrics to evaluate impact.
You orient quickly in unfamiliar systems by exploring and asking thoughtful questions to both your teammates and agents.
You care about how software feels and notice when the technically correct result is still wrong for the user.
You create clarity in ambiguous work and can navigate (and simplify!) significant product and technical complexity.
You validate your work rigorously through focused reproductions, logs, tests, and other evidence rather than trusting that the output looks right.
Experience that helps:
Similar Products:
Work on an editor, media product, creative tool, or payment system (like Stripe).
Our Stack:
TypeScript, HTML/CSS, React, Redux, Node.js, API design, Temporal Workflows, and SQL. But we obviously live in a post stack world. We just rewrote our media engine in Rust. None of us knows Rust.
Crafting with AI:
Building an agent or experimenting with media-generation models.
Experimentation/Analytics Experience:
We like people who know how to measure their success through experimentation and product analytics.
Intricacies of Video:
Shaders, graphics rendering, audio/visual effects, and media formats.
Descript is a startup. We're especially interested in working with engineers who use the product and are aligned with our mission. To that end, we promise to review any application that includes a share link to a Descript video. The video can be about anything - your career, a favorite game or movie, a discarded audition tape for Love Island. If you take the time to make something in Descript, we'll commit to having a human watch it and review your application. 🤝
Compensation and benefits
Base salary range: $200,000-$275,000, plus equity and benefits. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location, and level, and may vary from the amount above.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About the Role
Fivetran + dbt Labs is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We're looking for a Lead Company Operations Manager to join the COO Office — the team responsible for setting the pulse of the company: developing our strategies, holding leaders accountable for executing them, and taking on the cross-functional work that lacks a clear owner.
This role owns Leadership Operations: the standing forums and rhythm through which NewCo's leadership runs the business. You will own the mechanics behind our board meetings, help run the ELT's operating rhythm and quarterly Strategy Days, and make sure the decisions made in those forums are carried through to closure. Your remit is
what happens in the room
— forum design, agendas, pre-reads, decision capture, and follow-through — and the calendar of forums, planning cycles, and decision points that connects them.
The work is deliberately diverse. One week you're building the narrative and data behind a board deck with the executive leadership team; the next you're redesigning a cadence that is consuming more executive time than it returns, or scoping a special project that arrived without a brief, an owner, or a definition of done. You'll work directly with stakeholders at every level across Product, GTM, Finance, and Engineering — from individual contributors who own the underlying work to the executives accountable for it — and you'll be expected to bring structure to problems that show up without any.
You'll join a small, central team in the middle of the Fivetran + dbt Labs integration, so expect to build mechanisms that don't exist yet rather than inherit mature ones. Early on, your impact will come mostly from the structure, materials, and follow-through behind our leadership forums, with a clear path to owning more of the live facilitation as you build relationships with the executive team.
This is a full-time position based out of our
Oakland
office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
This position reports to the Director of Business Operations & Chief of Staff to the COO.
What You'll Do
Executive Rhythm of the Business
Own and maintain the integrated calendar of executive forums, planning cycles, and decision points.
Improve the rhythm itself: identify cadences that are duplicative, low-signal, or consuming more executive time than they return, and propose changes.
Make sure each forum has a clear purpose, owner, input set, and decision output — and that they don't collide or duplicate each other.
Board Meetings
Own end-to-end preparation of board materials: build the storyline, partner with Finance and department leaders on the underlying data, and manage review cycles with the ELT.
Maintain a reliable source of truth for board and executive reporting metrics so numbers reconcile across Finance, GTM, and Product reporting.
Synthesize scattered executive inputs into a single, decision-ready artifact — a doc, model, or deck that moves the conversation forward.
Partner with the COO's Executive Assistant, who owns scheduling and logistics, so content and logistics stay in lockstep.
ELT Strategy Days
Help run the quarterly ELT Strategy Days: topic selection, agendas, pre-reads, facilitation materials, and clean capture of every decision with a named owner and date.
Shape Strategy Days around the priorities most likely to propel the business forward rather than a standing agenda.
Carry decisions and action items out of each session, drive them to completion with the accountable ELT member and their department operations team, and bring unresolved items into the next session.
Weekly ELT Meetings
Help run the weekly ELT meeting: topic selection, agendas, pre-reads, facilitation materials, and clean capture of every decision with a named owner and date.
Close the loop between the weekly meeting and Strategy Days. Track decisions and action items across both, drive them to completion with the accountable ELT member and their department operations team, and bring status and open items back into the next session.
Remove blockers rather than just report status, escalate early when something is stuck, and be able to show what measurably changed as a result of these cadences.
SLT Engagements
Lead and facilitate recurring engagement with the SLT — VPs and above — to leverage their perspective and influence, and keep them abreast of happenings across the business.
Strategic Initiatives and cross-functional support
Take on ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives assigned to the COO Office, from initial framing through delivery. Roughly 20% of your capacity is reserved for this unplanned work.
Structure new work quickly with a clear charter: problem statement, success measures, decision rights, stakeholders, and timeline.
Drive projects to measurable outcomes without formal authority, influencing peers and executives across functions.
Transition completed initiatives to a permanent owner with the documentation and mechanisms needed to sustain them.
Skills We're Looking For
Proven experience (5+ years) in program management, business operations, strategy, or chief of staff roles, supporting stakeholders at all levels, up to and including senior executives.
Demonstrated ownership of executive or board-level forums: you've designed agendas, produced pre-reads, captured decisions, and made follow-through stick.
Credible in the room with senior leaders, with the appetite to grow into leading executive forums yourself. Much of the face-to-face facilitation is driven by the Chief of Staff today; you'll build toward taking more of it on.
Systems thinker — you look for the underlying mechanism, not the one-off fix, and you design processes others can run without you.
Owner mentality with a high tolerance for ambiguity; you take unclear requests, define the problem, and drive to a positive outcome without waiting to be told how.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a track record of tailoring the same message for an individual contributor, a department leader, and a board audience.
Comfortable with data — able to work in spreadsheets, run ad hoc analysis, pressure-test numbers from other teams, and translate results into a clear recommendation.
Experience with program management tools and methodologies, and a demonstrated ability to run multiple concurrent work streams without losing detail.
Required AI competencies
Use conversational AI systems (like Claude, ChatGPT, and internal chatbots) to research, author, review, and synthesize operational artifacts such as board narratives, process documents, and executive updates.
Build repeatable AI workflows — prompts, skills, or agents — rather than treating AI as a one-off drafting tool.
Evaluate AI output critically, including knowing when the task calls for human judgment instead.
Bonus Skills
Experience preparing board materials at a private, VC- or PE-backed company.
Experience supporting post-merger integration or another period of significant organizational change.
Experience standing up or rationalizing an executive operating cadence from scratch.
Familiarity with BI tooling (Looker) and basic SQL.
Light scripting or low-code automation experience for building internal tools.
Prior experience in B2B SaaS, with working fluency in ARR, NRR, pipeline, and margin.

This is a full-time position based out of our
New York

We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
Why This Role?
We're seeking an experienced Program Manager to join Cohere's customer-facing Program Management team, with a focus on Canadian public sector and defence accounts. This is a highly specialized role requiring an individual who understands technical program delivery, the technical complexity of frontier AI models and the unique requirements of government and defence organizations.
You will be the critical bridge between our cutting-edge AI capabilities and the specific needs of Canadian federal departments, provincial agencies, Crown corporations, and defence organizations. You'll navigate complex procurement processes, stringent security requirements, data sovereignty concerns, and regulatory compliance while ensuring our customers successfully deploy and scale our AI solutions.
In this role, you'll collaborate with our Strategic Customer team, Applied ML (AML) Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), Platform, Product, and Go-to-Market teams, serving as the technical program lead and trusted advisor for our most sensitive and high-impact government engagements.
Location: Ottawa required
Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance strongly preferred; candidates eligible and willing to obtain clearance will also be considered.
What You'll Do
Customer Program Leadership:
- Own end-to-end technical program delivery for Canadian public sector and defence customers, from initial deployment through production scaling
- Serve as the primary technical program point of contact for government customers, building trusted relationships with departmental CIOs, IT directors, and technical teams
- Translate complex government requirements (security, compliance, accessibility, bilingualism, data sovereignty) into actionable engineering plans
- Navigate government procurement processes, RFP responses, and contractual technical obligations.
Strategic Communication:
- Provide clear, timely, and objective communication across Cohere's engineering organization, customer stakeholders, and government leadership
- Translate between AI/ML technical concepts and government-appropriate language for decision-makers who may not have deep technical backgrounds
- Present technical roadmaps and status updates to senior government officials and departmental executives
- Represent Cohere's technical capabilities in sensitive government and defence contexts.
Complex Program Management:
- Create and manage project schedules that account for government timelines, security review processes, and ministerial approval cycles
- Identify and manage dependencies across government departments, security authorities, cloud service providers, and internal Cohere teams
- Navigate risks unique to government deployments: privacy compliance, Algorithmic Impact Assessments, Treasury Board submissions, security authorizations
- Drive alignment between product development priorities and specific government requirements.
Technical Delivery & Execution:
- Ensure on-time delivery of AI solutions that meet government-grade security, privacy, accessibility, and performance standards
- Coordinate technical work across multiple teams: model customization, security hardening, integration with government systems, bilingual support
- Establish governance checkpoints appropriate for high-stakes government deployments
- Problem-solve complex technical challenges in air-gapped, on-premises, or highly regulated environments.
You May Be a Good Fit If:
Required Experience:
- 6+ years of experience as a customer-facing Technical or Engineering Program Manager in AI/ML consulting, technology transformation, or enterprise software delivery.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.
- Experience working with government, defence, or heavily regulated customers (public sector, defence contractors).
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical programs with stringent compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or technical certs a plus.
Technical Background:
- Strong understanding of enterprise software deployment architectures (cloud, on-premises, hybrid, air-gapped)
- Working knowledge of or experience with modern AI: LLMs, agentic systems, MCP, RAG, fine-tuning, evals, and responsible AI would be a strong differentiator
- Comfortable discussing API integrations, model inference, data pipelines, and ML operations with technical stakeholders.
Government & Defence Acumen:
- Deep understanding of how government organizations procure, evaluate, and deploy technology
- Familiarity with Canadian government requirements: data sovereignty, privacy laws (Privacy Act), accessibility standards, official languages obligations, security classifications
- Understanding of defence and national security considerations in AI deployment
- Experience with Algorithmic Impact Assessments or AI ethics frameworks is a strong asset
- Eligible to obtain Canadian government security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
Nice to Have:
- Active Canadian government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) - strong preference for active Top Secret clearance
- Bilingual (English/French) proficiency
- Background in or strong familiarity with Canadian defence, intelligence, or critical infrastructure sectors
- Experience with GC Cloud services (Azure, AWS GovCloud) or Protected B/C environments
- Project management certification (PMP, PgMP) or government-specific methodologies.
Security Clearance Requirements
This role requires eligibility for Canadian government security clearance.
Strong preference will be given to candidates who currently hold an active Top Secret (TS) clearance, as this will enable immediate engagement with our most sensitive defence and national security customers.
However, we will also consider exceptional candidates who:
- Currently hold Secret clearance and are eligible for TS upgrade
- Do not currently hold clearance, but are eligible and willing to undergo the Top Secret clearance process
- Have a previous government security clearance that has lapsed
Please note that obtaining Top Secret clearance can take 12-18 months. Candidates without active clearance will work on non-classified public sector accounts while the clearance process is underway.
What Makes This Role Unique
This isn't typical program management—it's a highly specialized role at the intersection of frontier AI, national security, and public sector digital transformation. You'll work on some of Canada's most sensitive and impactful AI deployments, helping government organizations harness cutting-edge technology while maintaining the highest standards of security, ethics, and accountability.
If you're passionate about responsible AI adoption, understand the unique constraints and opportunities within government, and want to have an outsized impact on how Canada leverages AI to serve its citizens, this role is for you.
For candidates in Canada, the Compensation Range is: $160,000 – $245,000 [CAD]
