About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is looking for a Staff+ Software Engineer to work on the vector search infrastructure behind Claude. Retrieval is how Claude learns about the world. Web search across claude.ai, the API and agentic surfaces, memory across conversations, and the reinforcement learning workloads that train our next models all depend on fast, cheap, high-recall nearest-neighbor search over billions of vectors.
You'll join a small team responsible for the vector database layer that serves Claude's retrieval workloads: its architecture, performance, scalability and cost. This is a foundational role. The team is small, core architectural decisions are still open, and the engineers who join now will shape how the system evolves.
The role sits in our Databases organization and works day to day with the Search Platform team, which owns web search indexing, retrieval and serving, and the Memory & Search team, which owns search and memory inside claude.ai.
We're looking for someone who has built vector or search systems that ran in production, at scale, with real users and a real on-call. You'll be hands-on in the code, and you'll also be the person deciding how the pieces fit together.
Key responsibilities
Own the core of Anthropic's vector database layer: index structures, storage layout, query execution and the serving layer
Own production readiness - benchmarking against exact search, capacity planning, onboarding new workloads, and the operational tooling to run it at scale
Drive the recall, latency and cost trade-offs - quantization, filtered search, index build and refresh strategy, and how compute and storage are separated and scaled
Scale throughput by an order of magnitude as research and training demand grows, and work out whether the bottleneck is architecture, hardware or engineering bandwidth
Extend the retrieval stack toward hybrid retrieval - lexical search and fused ranking alongside vector search
Set the evaluation methodology for the system - recall targets, latency objectives, cost per query, and the regression detection that keeps them honest
Set technical direction for a growing team - lead design reviews, make architectural decisions others build on, and mentor the engineers joining the effort
Share the on-call for the systems you own
Minimum qualifications
Direct experience building a vector database or approximate nearest-neighbor search system that ran in production at scale
Deep knowledge of ANN index structures (graph-based, clustering-based or disk-resident approaches), vector quantization and filtered search
Experience with search relevance and ranking
Strong systems programming skills in a language such as Rust, C++ or Go, including performance-critical and memory-intensive code
Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed storage or serving systems with strict latency and reliability requirements
A track record of independently scoping and delivering ambiguous, multi-quarter technical projects
Strong written and verbal communication, with experience driving alignment across teams with different priorities
Interest in AI safety and Anthropic's mission
Preferred qualifications
Experience with object-storage-backed or disaggregated compute and storage database designs
Experience building or operating full-text search engines (inverted indexes, BM25) or hybrid retrieval systems
Familiarity with embedding models and the retrieval demands of LLM training and inference
Experience using GPUs or other accelerators for index build or search
Prior experience as a technical lead on a database or search infrastructure team
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$320,000
—
$485,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

🌍 Remote | UTC+8 | Core collaboration hours: 12:00–6:00 PM Manila Time
Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines.
We combine global fintech expertise with deep local market knowledge to make financial services simple, accessible, and useful for millions of people across the region.
7M+ app downloads. 2M+ monthly active users. 7,000+ partner stores. US$310M+ raised from leading global investors.
Manila-based, globally distributed, and hybrid-first — our team spans 45+ countries.
If you want to solve complex problems at scale and impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us.
Southeast Asia’s fintech moment starts here.
About the role:
Salmon’s content (marketing, product, and support) is written in English first. Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya) versions still depend on ad hoc help. We want to change it, and we're looking for a person who will help us.
You can change that. You will write for our users in their own language: the app, push notifications, ads, and the website. Furthermore, you will own the work from brief to publication and become the team’s authority on how Salmon sounds in Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya).
This is a senior role. You set the quality bar, build the glossary and your own part of our style guide, and make the calls yourself rather than follow someone else’s rulebook.
Done well, it could grow into its own small team.
What you’ll do:
- Write marketing, website, product, and in-app copy in Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya): the app, push notifications, ads, and the website. You decide when to translate, when to rewrite from scratch, and what stays in English.
- Adapt tone and register for audiences in different regions. Cebuano work grows as the product expands into new regions.
- Work with Marketing, Content, and Product: take briefs, challenge them, and deliver on schedule.
What you’ll own:
- Own the quality bar for all Filipino-language content, including improving what is already published.
- Review Filipino-language content before it ships, including as a backup reviewer for other authors.
- Build and own the Filipino-language glossary and your part of the style guide, aligned with brand voice.
- Define how Salmon sounds in Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya), and become the team’s authority on regional-audience nuance.
- Own the work from brief to publication and make the language calls yourself, rather than follow someone else’s rulebook.
- Lay the foundation for a Filipino-language function that could grow into its own small team.
What makes you a strong fit:
- Native or near-native fluency in Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya). You write in both, not only translate. Cebuano is required from day one.
- Strong English: you read our English briefs and spot what won’t work in Filipino.
- 3+ years of professional writing in Tagalog or Cebuano as part of a company team (marketing, content, product, media, or communications), with published work you can walk us through: what you decided and why.
- Strong editorial judgment: you evaluate quality, decide on your own, and give authors clear feedback.
- Understanding of how Filipinos use financial products and apps. We value product intuition as much as language skill.
- Experience building or contributing to glossaries, style guides, or tone-of-voice guidelines, and working experience with localization tools (Lokalise, Phrase, Smartling, or Crowdin) and Figma.
What we offer:
Ownership and flexibility
- Fully remote work with core collaboration hours from 12:00 to 6:00 PM Manila time (UTC+8)
- Company-provided tools and equipment
Health and time off
- Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits
- Access to an internal mental health support specialist
- 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days
Growth and team experience
- Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications
- Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person
- High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia
We believe strong teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and points of view. Salmon is an equal opportunity employer, and we make hiring decisions based on skills, experience, and potential.

ABOUT AVOCA
Avoca is transforming how home service companies engage with their customers. Our AI-powered conversational agents handle every high-value inbound call, from booking jobs, qualifying leads, and driving higher revenue, all at a speed and consistency unmatched by human call centers.
We're a Series B startup backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech Capital, General Catalyst, and other top-tier investors, with $125M raised and a $1B valuation. We grew 10x in 2025 and have scaled to 170+ employees in under two years across our NYC headquarters and Santa Barbara office.
In a $1T+ market where 85% of missed calls go to competitors, we're building the category-defining platform for AI-driven customer engagement, serving the largest brands in home services. With high-energy, in-office teams in both locations, every hire here has an immediate and visible impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Avoca, you'll fuel our growth engine by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers across the Australian home services industry. You'll run high-velocity outbound programs, convert interest into meetings for our Account Executives, and help evangelize Avoca's impact by turning missed calls into booked jobs and measurable revenue.
You'll pioneer and build the market. This is a greenfield opportunity: you'll generate Avoca's pipeline in Australia from day one. It's ideal for someone who thrives on speed, experimentation, and impact. You'll own pipeline generation end-to-end: target the right segments, craft compelling outreach, book high-quality meetings, and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product to turn customer pain into Avoca wins.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prospect and qualify leads across Australian home services segments, serving as the first point of contact and trusted resource for prospects evaluating Avoca.
- Run high-volume, multi-channel outbound (LinkedIn, email, calls, events) to build pipeline and consistently exceed meeting and SQL targets.
- Tailor outreach to customer goals and business models; articulate Avoca's value in booking jobs, capturing missed demand, and lifting revenue.
- Partner with Account Executives to schedule demos, share context, and ensure smooth handoffs that convert into opportunities and closed-won deals.
- Travel to industry conferences and events to generate leads, book demos on-site, and represent Avoca with professionalism and urgency.
- Conduct discovery to qualify fit, pain, and timing; map stakeholders across Operations, Marketing, and Executive teams.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product to refine messaging, share market feedback, and continuously improve playbooks and cadences.
- Track activity and outcomes with precision; measure and report on KPIs to guide prioritization and iterate quickly.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 1–3 years in an SDR, BDR, or outbound sales role, ideally at a high-growth startup.
- A track record of hitting or exceeding outbound meeting targets, with meetings that actually convert downstream.
- Confidence on the phone and in writing: you can articulate value clearly whether it's a 30-second cold call or a personalized email.
- Comfort with high volume; you can run 50+ touches a day without sacrificing quality.
- CRM discipline: clean data, updated stages, notes that your AEs can actually use.
- Excited to work with a high-ownership team across multiple time zones.
- Nice to have: experience selling AI, SaaS, or into the home services vertical.
- BONUS: Market/domain knowledge and/or an existing trades network.
WHO YOU ARE
- You're competitive with yourself. You track your numbers, know your conversion rates, and are always looking for the next lever to pull.
- You handle rejection well — not because you ignore it, but because you treat it as signal. A "no" teaches you something about messaging, timing, or targeting.
- You prepare before you pick up the phone. You've looked at the prospect's website, understand their business model, and can speak to their specific pain.
- You're a clear communicator who keeps AEs, managers, and cross-functional partners in the loop without being asked.
- You thrive in ambiguity and create structure: you're energized by a blank page, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and build repeatable process where none exists.
- You have a high motor: self-driven, relentless in pursuit of pipeline, and quick to act without waiting to be told.
- You're already embedding AI into your go-to-market in a systematic way, across prospecting, research, outreach and list building, and can show the workflows you've built and the results they drive.
BENEFITS
- Flexible PTO plus AU holidays
- Company-wide off-sites
- Travel to HQ
- Competitive medical, dental, and health insurance
- All core tools and software provided
Compensation: The expected on target earnings for this role is A$150,000–A$175,000, with final compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications determined during the interview process. Avoca's total compensation package includes base salary, bonus, equity, and a comprehensive suite of benefits and perks. Our Recruiting team will share the full details as you progress through our hiring process.
WHY AVOCA

Location: Denver; Los Angeles
THE ROLE
We're hiring our first Regional Vice President for the Southwest. The territory runs from the Rockies (Colorado and Utah) through Arizona and the desert Southwest to Southern California. It covers some of the fastest-growing tech corridors in the country, plus a dense base of digital-native, media, gaming, and AI companies that already run on real-time data. You'll report to Mike Hayes and build the region from the first hire: set the strategy, recruit the team, and turn a widely spread, high-potential territory into one of the strongest regions in the Americas. This is a builder's seat with a clear path to grow with the business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design a multi-hub region. Build a coverage model across hubs that are very different from one another, including Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Denver/Boulder, Salt Lake City/Lehi, and Phoenix. Decide where to place reps first and how to sequence growth.
- Hire the founding team. Recruit Enterprise AEs who can sell to engineering buyers as peers: technical, commercially hungry, and able to work on their own across a large geography.
- Own the number and the forecast. Carry the regional quota, run a weekly operating rhythm, and deliver a forecast your leadership can rely on, backed by MEDDPICC-style deal qualification.
- Win where real-time data is the product. Land and expand with digital-native and AI-native companies, media and entertainment, gaming, adtech, consumer internet, and fintech, where performance and cost at scale decide the deal.
- Turn adoption into enterprise agreements. Work with our product-led growth motion to find ClickHouse Cloud and open-source users ready for a committed relationship, then expand across teams and use cases (analytics, observability, and AI workloads).
- Lead from inside the deal. Coach reps through technical evaluations, POCs, procurement, and executive negotiations. Join the calls that matter.
- Orchestrate the extended team. Partner closely with Solutions Architects, Marketing, Partners/Alliances, and cloud marketplace teams to build pipeline and run cohesive account strategies.
- Build ClickHouse's brand across the region. Show up in the local developer, data, and startup communities, from Denver and Salt Lake to LA and San Diego, through events, meetups, and executive programs.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years of enterprise software sales in data infrastructure, databases, analytics, observability, or cloud, with a strong record as a quota-carrying seller.
- 5+ years leading enterprise sales teams as a first- or second-line leader, with attainment you can back up with specifics.
- Experience building or rebuilding a region from an early stage, ideally one spread across several metros, where you set coverage, hired the first reps, and grew the business.
- A strong network across the Rockies, the Southwest, and/or Southern California, both for hiring standout AEs and for reaching enterprise buyers.
- Rigorous pipeline management, deal qualification (MEDDPICC or similar), and forecast accuracy.
- Technical credibility with engineering-led buyers. You understand the modern data stack and can hold your own in architecture conversations.
- Experience with consumption-based pricing, open-source, or product-led growth models.
- The ClickHouse DNA: integrity, hunger, and accountability. You're curious, serious about the craft, and want to build rather than inherit.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience selling to digital-native, AI-native, media/entertainment, or gaming companies.
- A background in real-time analytics, OLAP and columnar databases, observability, or AI/LLM infrastructure.
- Experience as an early leader at a high-growth data or infrastructure company through a period of fast scaling.
- Co-selling with AWS, GCP, or Azure, and transacting through cloud marketplaces.
- Experience leading a distributed team across several states and time zones.
PERKS
- Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.
- Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare.
- Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Research Engineer to join the research team at ElevenLabs, focused on the data infrastructure that powers our frontier AI models. The quality of our models is bounded by the quality and scale of the data behind them, and you will own the systems that make world-class data possible. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy:
- Building large-scale data pipelines for collecting, processing, filtering, and transforming datasets used to train state-of-the-art models.
- Training models used in our data processing pipelines, such as classifiers, quality filters, and labeling models.
- Designing data curation strategies such as deduplication, quality scoring, labeling, and augmentation that measurably improve model performance.
- Creating tooling and infrastructure that lets researchers explore and train on massive datasets quickly and reliably.
REQUIREMENTS
We do not require any formal certifications or degrees. Instead, we are seeking enthusiastic engineers who can showcase solving impressively hard problems with artifacts such as past projects, designs, or GitHub contributions. Ideally, you bring:
- Experience building data-intensive systems, ideally in support of machine learning training pipelines.
- Strong engineering skills in distributed data processing at scale (e.g., Kubernetes, or custom pipelines over large datasets).
- The capacity to autonomously evaluate how data quality, composition, and curation affect model outcomes, and to build the tooling to measure it.
Bonus: Experience building or operating web crawlers.
LOCATION
This role is remote and can be executed globally. If you prefer, you can work from our offices in London, New York, San Francisco, and Warsaw.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Every model we train runs on infrastructure this role owns. We operate NVIDIA GPU clusters across bare metal and rented capacity, and we're looking for an engineer to join our small research infrastructure team and make that compute fast, reliable, and boring - in the best sense. When the clusters just work, research moves faster. Your impact is measured directly in training throughput and researcher velocity.
This is a builder-operator role with real breadth: one week you're writing automation that eliminates a whole class of manual work, the next you're benchmarking a new provider's InfiniBand fabric or on-site bringing new hardware online. You'll have unusual scope and autonomy - we're a lean team where decisions are made by the people closest to the problem.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Operate and improve our GPU fleet end to end: provisioning, scheduling, monitoring, upgrades, capacity planning
- Build automation that keeps the fleet healthy without human intervention — node health checks, automated draining and remediation, burn-in pipelines for new capacity
- Own the stack beneath the training code: OS images, NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, container runtimes, NCCL, high-speed networking (InfiniBand/RoCE)
- Run and tune job scheduling (Slurm or similar) so researchers get compute fairly and fast
- Build and maintain high-performance storage for datasets and checkpoints
- Hunt down performance problems: stragglers, degraded links, thermal issues, flaky GPUs — and fix the class of problem, not just the instance
- Evaluate rented GPU capacity: benchmark it, validate it, hold providers to their SLAs
- Hands-on hardware work when it's needed: racking, cabling, diagnostics, coordinating with datacenter staff and vendors
- Keep clusters secure by default: access control, network isolation, secrets
REQUIREMENTS
- Have run large-scale Linux server or GPU environments in production and enjoy both building and operating
- Know the NVIDIA stack well — drivers, CUDA, NCCL, DCGM — or have deep systems experience and learn hardware stacks fast
- Are comfortable with bare-metal environments, server hardware, and high-speed networking
- Write solid automation in Python and/or Bash, with IaC tools like Ansible or Terraform
- Are happy digging into noisy data (metrics, logs, PromQL) to find what's actually wrong
- Like owning real scope end to end and being the person others rely on
- Don't consider any task above or beneath you — datacenter trips included
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience supporting ML training workloads from the infra side (distributed training failure modes, checkpointing patterns)
- Experience evaluating and working with GPU cloud providers
- Parallel filesystems (WEKA, VAST, etc) or large-scale object storage
- BMC/IPMI/Redfish automation, PXE provisioning at scale
- Power and cooling awareness for dense GPU deployments
