WHY PRODUCT ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
Your work will have an outsized impact.
Everything you build is open source (MIT-licensed) and immediately visible. Langfuse has 35,000+ GitHub stars and our SDKs are downloaded more than a hundred million times per month. When you ship a new feature the community notices in GitHub issues, on X, and in our community channels.
Product engineers at Langfuse are the people who deliver new features end-to-end to our users. You own the product thinking from understanding the user problem to deciding what to build to shipping the solution.
You will also have direct exposure to how cutting-edge LLM applications are built. The users you serve are some of the best and most ambitious software engineers leveraging Langfuse to improve their applications. Deeply understanding the problems they solve will help you design the best possible product and along the way makes you an expert on LLM engineering yourself.
YOU WILL GROW AT LANGFUSE BY
- Own features end-to-end: from talking to users, to writing the spec, to shipping the code and docs, to writing the changelog post https://langfuse.com/changelog with your name on it. To give you a sense: recent features a single engineer owned include the Langfuse for Agents https://langfuse.com/changelog/2025-11-05-langfuse-for-agents release (new trace views, agent graphs, semantic span labels), the TypeScript SDK v4 https://langfuse.com/changelog/2025-08-28-typescript-sdk-v4-ga rewrite on OpenTelemetry, and managing dashboards via API/CLI/MCP https://langfuse.com/changelog/2026-07-17-dashboard-and-widget-operations-in-api.
- Work across the full stack: and we mean full. Our surface area is wide: React frontend, Next.js backend, ClickHouse analytics, Python and TypeScript SDKs, public docs, Terraform modules, and more. You'll touch whatever the feature needs. One week you might be writing a new ClickHouse query for cost analytics, the next you're designing an SDK API, the next you're building a new rust worker for faster data processing.
- Talk to users constantly: jump on calls, respond in community channels, and route support requests. At Langfuse, support is how we build conviction about what to build next. Our handbook says it best: support by engineers is a core value proposition.
- Write public documentation about the features you own. At Langfuse, docs are product.
- Ship publicly during Launch Weeks: we've run four Launch Weeks https://langfuse.com/blog/2025-10-29-launch-week-4 so far, dropping a new feature every day for a week. Engineers present the features they built to the community.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Someone who has built features or even entire products from scratch end-to-end
- Experience building and shipping user-facing products end-to-end, ideally in TypeScript/React and with exposure to data-intensive backends
- Someone who can manage projects themselves. You know how to develop strong conviction about what to build and how to ship it.
- Taste for great developer experience: you care about API design, UI details, and clear documentation
- Interest in open source software and genuine excitement about talking to developers about their problems
- Thrives in a small, accountable team where your output is visible and matters
- CS or quantitative degree preferred
Bonus points:
- Experience with ClickHouse, analytics databases, or building complex data visualizations
- Former founder or early startup experience
- Contributions to popular open source projects
- ML/AI background or familiarity with the LLM framework ecosystem
No candidate checks all boxes. If you feel you are a good fit for this role, please go ahead and apply.

WHY BACKEND ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
Your work will have an outsized impact.
Langfuse ingests terabytes of AI tracing data per day. When a Fortune 50 company instruments their application with Langfuse, they hit the infrastructure you built. Everything you ship is open source and immediately visible.
The core of your role is making Langfuse fast and affordable at scale: owning the ingestion pipeline, optimizing ClickHouse data models and queries so dashboards load instantly, and building the backend abstractions that let product engineers ship data-heavy features without reinventing the plumbing each time.
You will also make sure Langfuse runs everywhere. You’ll operate Langfuse Cloud across multiple production environments, and make self-hosting effortless. You will support a single Docker Compose setup to enterprise-grade Helm chart deployment.
You won’t be solving these problems alone. Langfuse is now part of ClickHouse, which means the people who built the database you’re optimizing are one channel away. Few backend roles give you that kind of access to the internals of your core datastore.
YOU WILL GROW AT LANGFUSE BY
- Own and optimize our ingestion pipeline: Langfuse ingests massive volumes of tracing data through a pipeline that flows from our API to ClickHouse. You'll work on throughput, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency at every stage of this pipeline.
- Make ClickHouse fast: our tracing data lives in ClickHouse. You'll design schemas, optimize merge strategies, tune batch inserts, write and review analytical queries that power dashboards and the UI. You'll become an expert on ClickHouse internals — and you'll have the ClickHouse database engineering team one channel away.
- Build new infrastructure-heavy features: things like LLM-as-a-Judge (where we post-process large volumes of ingested data asynchronously), alerting at scale, client-code execution, or batch dataset operations. Build the foundation and, if you like, dip your toes into the frontend for those.
- Test with real data in production: when evaluating a new ClickHouse schema, migration, or query optimization, you'll run load tests against production data to validate that changes actually improve things. We don't guess at performance. We prototype new table designs, run them in parallel on real traffic, and compare before committing.
- Scale for what's next: we're growing fast and new product directions like complex long-running agent observability and real-time evaluation push the infrastructure in new ways. You'll be thinking ahead about what breaks at 10x scale.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong backend engineer who gets excited about database internals, query optimization, and distributed systems
- You get excited when working with a ton of data
- Experience with analytical databases, data pipelines, or high-throughput event processing. ClickHouse experience is a big plus but not required
- You organize yourself. You have strong opinions about what to build and how to ship it
- Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript (our backend) and SQL
- Interest in open source software and genuine enjoyment talking to users about their scaling challenges
- Thrives in a small, accountable team where your output is visible and matters
- CS or quantitative degree preferred
Bonus points:
- Experience with ClickHouse, other OLAP databases, or observability infrastructure
- Former founder
- Background in building data-intensive systems at scale

Langfuse is hiring its first Product Manager. You will work with the founders to define the product vision and set the strategic direction. You will also work with Solution Architects, sales, and marketing. Your input will help shape product decisions.
Engineers at Langfuse own delivery from start to finish. They help find solutions and turn them into technical requirements. They implement and launch the work. They support each launch with documentation and changelogs. They also speak directly with customers to receive feedback on features and educate the roadmap. The whole company helps shape the quarterly roadmap. The engineering team then delivers it.
As Product Manager, you will look beyond the current quarter. You will build a deep understanding of our market and emerging trends. You will also study how engineers use AI to build agentic applications. You will use these insights to create clear product artifacts. They will define the user problems we want to solve and how we want to solve them.
WHAT YOU WILL DO AT LANGFUSE:
- Shape the product direction and translate long-term opportunities into clear priorities.
- Turn customer, community, and market insights into decisions about what to build and what not to build.
- Lead new product areas from research and scoping through launch.
- Work closely with founders, engineers, designers on APIs, SDKs, infrastructure, UX, and documentation.
- Align founders, engineering, sales, marketing, and key customers without introducing unnecessary processes.
- Make the product-engineering team more effective through clear context, strong judgment, and concise written briefs.
- You will own the quarterly roadmapping process and propose in which direction we should develop Langfuse.
WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO:
- Project Management for engineers. Everyone here can organize themselves, you do not need to do this.
- Slice large projects into Linear tickets. Single engineers execute on large projects in Langfuse.
- Communicate between customers and engineers. Engineers talk to customers daily.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- An experienced PM from developer tools, observability, infrastructure, data, or a similarly technical product.
- Technical enough to reason credibly about APIs, SDKs, architecture, and UX tradeoffs.
- You are hands-on: you test products, you talk to users, you maybe build a small prototype.
- Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and product taste.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, autonomy, and a fast-moving environment.
- Pragmatic, calm, organized, and focused on shipping.
- Excellent written and spoken communication.
- Deeply interested in AI and already using AI tools extensively.
- Experience with open source, enterprise software, or major platform shifts is a plus.
PERKS

Location: Valencia
Workplace: OnSite
Role highlights:
- Title: Satellite Systems Senior Technician
- Department: Global Manufacturing Organisation
- Reports to: Head of MAITE Spain
- Location: Valencia, Spain
- Type of Contract: Permanent
- Working model: On-site
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
Why this role matters:
As a Satellite Systems Senior Technician, you play a vital role in bringing every satellite that reaches our Valencia production line to operational readiness. You will own the first power-on, initial software and firmware loading, and end-to-end systems verification of fully integrated SAR satellites, running automated functional, power, and bus test campaigns, diagnosing issues at the boundary between software, firmware, and electronics hardware, and ensuring configuration control on final activities. Your work lets test campaigns run independently on the line, without pulling engineers away from other teams.
Who We Are
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.
ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Execute initial satellite power-on, firmware flashing, and subsystem communication verifications.
- Run, debug, and execute automated functional, power, and bus test scripts using Python, Shell, and Linux environments.
- Work with Git repositories to manage test code, track updates, and verify software builds.
- Operate mechanical and electrical ground support equipment (GSE), and troubleshoot electronic hardware, power distribution, and digital interface issues using lab instruments (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters).
- Diagnose whether an anomaly is a test setup issue or a genuine unit fault, and raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) in Jira.
- Maintain detailed test logs and accurate documentation, and ensure configuration control on final activities.
- Assist in managing activities related to satellite launch campaigns.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives - procedures, processes, tools, test automation, and 6S.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians, and communicate proactively with team members and supervisors regarding any challenges or obstacles.
- Work closely with the RF Senior Technician, AIT Engineering, and Quality, ensuring clear communication so that satellite build-phase deadlines and technical specifications are met.
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
- Relevant university degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Space Studies, Applied Physics, Electronics, or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience in a related role.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience setting up, debugging, and running real test benches and satellite systems or interfaces, not just executing someone else’s scripts.
- Proficient in a Linux environment, comfortable modifying and debugging Python scripts, and working with Git.
- Systems thinking across avionics, power, and software, enough to tell a test setup fault from a genuine unit fault.
- Experience using lab equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Excellent communication skills, with particular attention to detail in procedures, preparation, and execution.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and schematics.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to ensure clear communication in a cross-functional environment.
Nice to haves:
- ICEYE-specific test frameworks, satellite bus specifics, Jira and MES flow, and launch campaign procedures.
- Space or satellite AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) background.
- Experience with environmental testing (e.g. vibration/shaker rigs, thermal testing).
- Experience using Atlassian Cloud (Jira, Confluence).
- Lean & Six Sigma experience.
Application Process
- Talent Acquisition Interview
- Hiring Manager General Interview
- Technical Interview, including a Technical Challenge
- Final Interview

- Comprehensive health coverage for US‑based employees, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, with virtual care and employee assistance resources.
- Meaningful time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of PTO (accrued), separate sick leave, and paid company holidays.
- 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer match.
- Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
- Free daily catered lunch, snacks, and drinks in‑office.
- Collaboration with top‑tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics.
- Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives.
For this role in Massachusetts, the expected base salary range is $150K–$200K USD per year; your placement in that range depends on how your experience maps to our internal leveling.

Each one is a distinct path from signature to cash, and each one runs today on some mix of manual steps and automation that grew up with the business.
This role owns what comes next. You'll run order operations end to end - booking, provisioning, invoicing, amendments, and renewals - on a stack we picked deliberately and recently: Salesforce, Metronome for metering and billing, Rillet for ERP. The stack is modern, but the processes on top of it were built to keep up with growth, not designed to scale. Your job is to decide what each one should become: keep it, rebuild it, automate it, or retire it.
Our bias is to invest in systems rather than in a growing queue of manual work, so you'll be setting the automation roadmap at the same time you're operating the function - deciding what a person should touch, what a workflow should handle, and what should never have been a step in the first place. Getting that right is what lets order volume grow by an order of magnitude without ops growing with it.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You'll own order operations, working closely with Deal Strategy and Operations, GTM Systems, Finance and Accounting, and Enterprise Engineering. Those teams are your partners and much of your build capacity. Bringing them onto one shared order-to-cash roadmap is a core part of the job, and the reason we're hiring someone senior to do it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the order-to-cash path end to end: order form intake from Deal Desk, booking in Salesforce, plan and entitlement setup in Metronome, invoicing and revenue recognition through Rillet, and the amendments, true-ups, and renewals that follow
- Build out cloud marketplace operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure: private offer setup, usage reporting to each marketplace, and reconciling marketplace disbursements back to what we billed. Every new channel launches against defined readiness criteria, so marketplace deals run on the same clean path as direct ones
- Own self-serve billing operations: usage metering, plan changes, dunning, credits, rebills, refunds, and the escalations behind them
- Own billing and usage completeness at month-end close. Every order, credit, and metered event is reconciled between Metronome and Rillet before revenue is recognized, not after
- Partner with Deal Strategy and Product as our pricing evolves. Bring the billing view into pricing and deal-structure decisions early, so new models and non-standard terms can be billed accurately and automated, not handled by hand
- Set the automation roadmap. Instrument the path, put a number on every place a human touches an order, and decide what gets automated, what gets designed away, and what stays manual on purpose
- Treat every billing error as a defect: find the root cause and fix the class of problem, not just the one invoice
- Ship automations yourself where that's fastest, and partner with GTM Systems and Enterprise Engineering where the work belongs in core systems or the product
- Write the playbook and the controls behind it: approvals, segregation of duties, reconciliations, and exception handling, built so order ops scales through systems rather than headcount and holds up under audit
- Own three numbers and move them: touchless order rate, signature-to-provisioned cycle time, and billing accuracy
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years in order management, order-to-cash, billing operations, or revenue operations at a B2B SaaS company, including time building the function at an early-stage or fast-scaling one
- Hands-on fluency with a modern billing and ERP stack. We run Salesforce, Metronome, and Rillet - you should know something comparable well enough to have opinions, and get to depth on ours quickly
- Real experience with usage-based pricing. Per-seat is straightforward; metered consumption, commits, drawdowns, overages, and true-ups are where order ops gets interesting, and that's most of our business
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 and month-end close. You don't need to be an accountant, but you should know what Revenue Accounting needs from billing data and why
- Cloud marketplace experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure private offers), or a track record of getting deep on a system like that fast
- A history of automating your own job. We'll ask you to walk us through a manual process you deleted: what it cost before, what you built, and what it costs now
- The ability to build alignment across teams with different priorities and get to a decision, without relying on org authority
- Comfort shipping a v0 earlier than feels comfortable, then iterating with real feedback
NICE TO HAVE
- SQL, Python, or low-code tooling in your own hands rather than on someone else's backlog
- Experience building agents or LLM workflows for internal operations. We'd like to run more of our own back office on the LangSmith Platform, wherever it's the right tool and meets the same accuracy bar as the rest of order-to-cash
- Audit prep or SOX readiness experience
