ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Deployed Engineering team works directly with companies building and running AI agents in production, helping turn ideas and prototypes into systems teams can rely on.
This is a hands-on, highly technical team that partners closely with customer engineers across the full lifecycle, from pre-sales evaluations to post-deployment advisory work. The focus is on achieving the technical win, co-designing agent architectures, and helping customers operate agents reliably at scale using the LangChain suite.
Deployed Engineers sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market, shaping how LangChain is adopted in the field and feeding real-world insights back into the platform.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Deployed Engineer…You’ll work on some of the hardest problems in applied AI — not demos, not research, but systems that real teams depend on in production. The feedback loop is fast, the impact is visible, and the work you do directly shapes how AI agents are built in the real world.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer engineering teams
- Own the technical win in pre-sales by designing POCs, answering deep technical questions, and guiding evaluations
- Help customers deploy and operate agent-based applications such as conversational agents, research agents, and multi-step workflows
- Advise customers post-sale on architecture, best practices, and roadmap-level decisions
- Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developer audiences
- Surface field feedback and contribute reusable patterns, cookbooks, and example code that scale across customers
- Occasionally contribute code upstream when it meaningfully improves customer outcomes
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 5+ years in a relevant technical role (software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, founding/product engineering), ideally in a startup or scale-up
- Strong Python, JavaScript and systems fundamentals
- Have designed agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond simple API calls, including multi-step workflows, orchestration, and failure handling
- Are comfortable working directly with customers during POCs, architecture reviews, and technical evaluations
- Can explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developer audiences
- Take responsibility for outcomes, not just recommendations
- Have a bias toward action and enjoy figuring things out as you go
- Are excited about operating AI agents in production, not just building demos
NICE TO HAVE’S:
- You’ve deployed AI agents in production, especially using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks
- Worked with LLM evaluation, observability, or guardrails
- Have experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), containers, and basic Kubernetes concepts
- Have shipped and operated production software and are comfortable owning systems under real-world constraints
COMPENSATION
Annual OTE range: $165,000–$380,000 USD
Looking for a hands-on implementation role focused on custom delivery, bespoke integrations, and scoped consulting projects? Please check out the Deployed Engineer (Professional Services) roles.
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
We are hiring for this role across a range of scope, and the compensation band reflects that. Your offer depends on what we learn about your impact, craft, leadership, and communication during the interview process. We will tell you early where you’re tracking and talk comp with you before offer stage. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.
BENEFITS
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.

- Department: ICEYE Germany
- Location: Germany (Berlin)
- Reports to: CEO, ICEYE Germany
- Employment type: Permanent
- Working type: On-Site
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
THE MISSION OF THE SECURITY OFFICER
Build and own the classified information security posture that lets ICEYE Intelligence GmbH handle Verschlusssachen (VS) and the NATO and EU equivalents.
You will build the defensible, audit-ready Geheimschutz framework for ICEYE Germany. You design it, run it, and represent it to the competent authorities. You are also the trusted advisor to the Geschäftsführer and the first point of contact for all security matters.
This is a role for a builder: someone who is confident in defining, maintaining and communicating the security framework that enables ICEYE's continued growth and lets us meet our obligations to our customers.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.
ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the roadmap. Define and execute the plan that takes ICEYE Intelligence GmbH from today's baseline to fully cleared operations at the required national, NATO and EU levels. This covers admission to the Geheimschutzbetreuung (facility security clearance), personnel clearances, IT approval and the operational processes underneath.
- Be the appointed Geheimschutzbeauftragter. Act as the company's official security officer. Represent ICEYE with the respective authorities. Lead all interactions with these bodies with credibility and precision.
- Build the framework. Partner with Global Security to implement the hardened frameworks and systems.
- Run the clearance pipeline. Coordinate Sicherheitsüberprüfungen (SÜG) and Sicherheitserklärungen across the German organisation, plus NATO/EU personnel clearance certificates, in close coordination with Global Security so the business stays ahead of programme needs.
- Drive IT approval. Work with IT and Global Security to take classified systems through BSI-aligned approval (Zulassung) for the required classification levels.
- Enable the business. Translate security requirements into practical guidance: handling of VS, visit requests, travel, subcontractors and procurement. Run incident reporting and rehearsed crisis procedures.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of the German classified-information regime.
- Track record as Sicherheitsbevollmächtigter or directly equivalent in a relevant organisation.
- Working fluency in NATO and EU classification frameworks and how they map to national classification levels.
- Credibility with the relevant authorities and administrative bodies.
- Fluent German and English, with the ability to brief at executive, authority and working level.
- An existing valid security clearance is a strong plus.
APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Intro conversation with Talent Acquisition or local Chief of Staff (30 min)
2. Technical case: a take-home roadmap exercise. Show how you would get from the current state to the highest target classification level, covering facility, personnel and IT approval, presented and defended in person to a panel (90 min)
3. Hiring manager interview with the CEO, ICEYE Intelligence GmbH (60 min)
4. Cross-functional interviews with Operations, Legal/Compliance and ICEYE's Chief Security Officer (3 x 45 min)
5. Final conversation with the Group CEO of ICEYE
