We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This is a remote position. We are seeking candidates in US and Canada.
The Opportunity:
Application Core Services (AppCore) is a group within Platform, in the Foundations department. Foundations produces the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP) and partners closely with our Cloud, Enterprise, and Grafana teams. Our team develops the essential systems driving Grafana's business operations. We utilize the grafana.com platform to engineer bespoke integrations and solutions that unify the diverse technical ecosystem of a modern software enterprise.
The team owns important domain areas that help keep both our customer workflows and internal business processes running smoothly. AppCore is made up of multiple squads, each focused on one or more of these domains. Our work includes maintaining the billing engine responsible for customer usage calculations, automating provisioning after a customer signs a contract, integrating with cloud marketplaces such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and building and maintaining the user portal our customers rely on to manage their accounts.
This is a team working at the intersection of product, platform, and business operations. The systems we build are critical to how Grafana Cloud scales. We are looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex workflow and systems problems, improving reliability and developer experience, and building software that directly supports both customers and internal stakeholders.
As a company we are remote-first and global, we embrace people of different experiences and backgrounds to build diverse teams where every person brings a unique perspective to the software. Engineers at Grafana Labs also have the opportunity to contribute to Open Source communities and collaborate across teams beyond their immediate scope.
What You’ll Be Doing:
The Usage squad owns the essential systems driving Grafana's business operations and customer usage calculations. Our domain encompasses maintaining the billing engine responsible for customer usage calculation, cost management and billing applications, automating provisioning after a customer signs a contract, integrating with cloud marketplaces such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and building and maintaining the customer user portal.
Our work sits at the intersection of product, platform, and business operations. We build full-stack web applications, customer portals, backend services, APIs, and data integrations across internal Grafana platforms and third-party systems like NetSuite and Salesforce. When this domain works well, customers get clear usage visibility, reliable billing, and seamless account management workflows. This role is about 75% FrontEnd and 25% BackEnd.
Design, build, operate, and evolve reliable full-stack web applications, customer-facing account portals, and backend services that power core customer usage and billing workflows
Build and maintain backend APIs (Golang, Node.js) and intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend technologies (TypeScript, React)
Design and maintain integrations between Grafana systems and external business platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and cloud marketplaces (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Develop and automate business logic for customer usage metering, pricing structures, promotions, and billing reconciliation
Collaborate across product management, DealOps, GTM, Support, and adjacent AppCore squads to deliver robust end-to-end features
Address technical debt, optimize CI/CD pipelines, strengthen test coverage, and improve system observability and operational resilience
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers while shaping pragmatic solutions for complex systems challenges
Contribute to roadmap planning, technical design, OnCall improvements, and long-term simplification of stack operations
You will help own the production behavior of the systems you build. That includes improving runbooks, dashboards, alerts, reconciliation safety, rollout controls, and recovery procedures. You should be comfortable debugging across service boundaries and making careful changes in systems that affect customer stacks
What Makes You a Great Fit:
At Grafana, we actively embrace AI-assisted and agentic development practices, integrating these technologies into both our engineering workflows and the systems we deliver. We encourage our engineers to thoughtfully leverage AI tools to enhance every stage of the lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, documentation, and operations. We also look for strategic opportunities to embed agentic capabilities within our services to eliminate toil, bolster reliability, and ensure that complex customer workflows remain resilient and safe.
We are seeking a Staff FullStack Engineer who thrives on building production systems where correctness, scalability, and user experience are paramount. As a remote-first organization, you should be comfortable collaborating asynchronously across time zones and taking full ownership of the critical systems powering Grafana Cloud. Our team is small and operates with a high degree of independence; you will be expected to lead major projects, coordinate across service boundaries, and help define the technical direction for our domain.
You will be particularly successful in this role if you enjoy solving challenges related to stateful systems, eventual consistency, and reconciliation loops. We value engineers who can take ambiguous lifecycle requirements and transform them into explicit, modular solutions. You should be adept at breaking down complex systems work into safe, iterative increments while clearly communicating technical tradeoffs to both internal stakeholders and adjacent product teams.
Some things you might be expected to do could include:
Writing efficient, readable, and easy to maintain code
Designing new microservices or systems
Collaborating with teammates and other departments to reach consensus on proposed solutions
Coordinating with product and UX when needed
Responding to customer requests and feedback
When ready, participating in our follow-the-sun OnCall rotation
Participating in team decisions, such as roadmap planning and prioritization
Requirements:
You have at least 1 year of fully remote work experience
You have worked on a big SaaS platform and dealt with common distributed systems problems (e.g. scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, HA, …)
Strong professional experience with backend technologies (Golang, Node.js) as well as modern frontend web development (TypeScript, React)
Care deeply about developer and user experience and the quality of the products that you work on
Have some experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements, and brainstorming ideas to shipping a product to the customer’s hands in a self-driven way
You write clean, robust, well-tested software that other engineers can understand, operate, and maintain
Have experience with mentoring junior engineers in a collaborative but asynchronous environment
Can take on complex challenges and break them down to achieve tight learning loops: to analyze, design, and build modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather data and feedback, and then progress iteratively
You are willing to work across teams. Your work has to be aligned with the needs of other squads and external stakeholders. You make your plans transparent, bring stakeholders on board, and are open to feedback and suggestions
Strong Kubernetes experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure, and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling (Helm, Terraform, Jsonnet, etc.)
Bonus Points For:
Experience with high-volume usage metering, billing engines, or customer-facing cost management applications
Experience designing, building, and maintaining integrations with third-party business systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Cloud Marketplaces)
Experience with frontend component libraries, design systems, and modern CSS-in-JS tooling
Familiarity with cloud marketplace integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS provisioning/tenancy patterns
Experience working on SaaS provisioning, tenancy, regional expansion, plugin rollout, or customer lifecycle systems
Experience with incident response involving configuration drift, partial failure, or cross-service state mismatch

We deliver only the best, so we are always in search of the best people to join our ever-growing talented team.
We are looking for a
Senior Product Owner
to build the products behind our new Financial Investigation Unit as we expand into new financial products and markets.
You will own the roadmap for investigation case management and customer offboarding. You’ll use AI to give investigators a complete picture of each case faster, and turn approved decisions into workflows that run reliably. You’ll work closely with investigators, Compliance, Operations and Engineering. Because this is a new capability, you’ll shape it from the ground up and, over time, build the team that runs it.
Responsibilities:
Own and prioritise the product roadmap for financial investigation case management and customer offboarding, focusing on investigation quality, timely decisions and reliable execution.
Translate investigator needs into clear product requirements and acceptance criteria. Design workflows that make case ownership, status, next actions and escalation routes clear.
Lead the development of AI and automation to assemble evidence, support analysis and reduce manual investigation work. Ensure outputs are traceable and subject to appropriate human review and approval.
Bring relevant information together across systems, with clear sources and appropriate access controls. Enable complete, auditable case records that preserve evidence and reasoning through reviews and handovers.
Translate approved offboarding procedures into reliable workflows with operational and control owners. Define approvals, dependencies, sequencing and exception handling, with clear confirmation that required actions have been completed.
Deliver changes with Engineering through testing, staged rollout and monitoring. Test interrupted processes, duplicate requests and unavailable dependencies, with recovery routes and records of completed and outstanding actions.
Measure investigation quality, case rework, avoidable delays and offboarding failures alongside user feedback. Use the findings to improve performance without treating faster case closure as proof of quality.
Prepare Operations and Compliance for product changes, support adoption and resolve issues after launch. Feed quality reviews, audit findings and recurring operational problems into the roadmap.
Requirements:
5+ years in product ownership or product management, including end-to-end ownership of a product roadmap at a senior level.
Strong financial crime experience across investigations, AML, fraud or customer offboarding, gained in fintech, banking or another regulated business.
A track record of building workflow or case-management products for operational users.
Experience shipping AI or automation that cut manual work while keeping people in charge of key decisions.
Ability to write precise requirements and work closely with engineers on complex, failure-tolerant workflows.
Strong analytical skills, with experience defining metrics and using data to set priorities.
Excellent stakeholder management, including working with Compliance and control owners on regulatory requirements.

How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process. To us, this means we do ask that you join live interviews without using AI tools so we can get to know how you communicate, solve problems, and collaborate with others.
Our approach to work
We recognize the power of both in person collaboration and remote work. Some roles are designated as remote-first, with an expectation that individuals work from their homes majority of the time, while others are designated as in-office roles, with an expectation of being on-site on a regular basis. We recognize that certain roles benefit from regular, in-person connection to support collaboration, team cohesion, and customer engagement.
For all roles, occasional travel may be required. This includes things like: department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events are typically held in varying locations across Canada, USA and/or EMEA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.

Why this role exists
Our ML and analytics teams already work on fraud detection and risk analysis. This role owns the backend that turns their signals into reliable protections across accounts, credits, payments, and generation. You'll integrate risk checks into product flows, build enforcement services and operator tools, and make sure controls work correctly in production. We're looking for an engineer we can trust to take a backend problem from an unclear starting point to a working solution.
What you'll actually do
- Risk integrations: connect existing ML scores and risk signals to account creation, credit usage, payments, and generation flows, with clear timeouts and fallback behavior.
- Enforcement services: implement configurable rules, rate limits, account restrictions, and credit or payment controls with consistent behavior across services.
- Operator tooling: build APIs and workflows for reviewing cases, inspecting decision history, and safely applying or reversing restrictions.
- Production reliability: handle retries, duplicate events, concurrent requests, and safe rollouts; add monitoring and audit trails so failures can be traced and fixed.
- Work in other teams’ codebases to add signals or interventions without hurting their stability or architecture.
- Ownership: clarify the control with ML, analytics, and operations → scope the smallest useful implementation → ship → verify production behavior and review impact with the team. Our release cycle is days, not quarters, so your first shipped protection happens fast.
Must-haves
1. You've taken a difficult problem from an unclear starting point to a working system used in production, and can explain your own decisions, contribution, and results.
2. You can build reliable backend services: APIs, data models, queues, transactions, idempotency, and concurrency. You can integrate external services and debug failures across the request and event lifecycle.
3. You choose the next steps, remove blockers, and ask for help when needed. You cut scope to test an idea, adapt from evidence, and keep working through difficult problems.
4. You work with ML, analytics, and operations to turn risk requirements into clear backend behavior. You use operator feedback and customer cases to improve controls and learn unfamiliar systems quickly.
5. You take feedback, change your mind when the evidence changes, and do the work the team needs. You share knowledge and responsibility so others can operate and extend what you build.
Who this is not for
- You prefer problems where requirements stay stable after launch.
- You prefer work centered on training models or producing analysis rather than building and operating backend services.
Nice to have
- Fraud prevention, payments risk, or platform abuse experience.
- Integrating risk-scoring services or building rules engines and rate limiters.
- Case management, appeals, and risk operations tooling.
- Familiarity with Stripe.
- Experience building real-time scoring, graph-based account linkage systems.
- Python/Go experience.
Interview process
1. Recruiter screen: role expectations, logistics, and fit.
2. Technical interview: a difficult system you shipped, what you personally decided and built, and how your work made the team more capable without leaving it dependent on you.
3. Additional technical interview, if needed: a deeper discussion of technical skills and open questions.
4. Product fit interview: take an existing risk signal and an operator need, scope a backend protection, and work through failure cases and effects on legitimate customers.
5. Offer.
What we offer
Competitive base in USD, equity, relocation support, and ownership of protections that preserve both company revenue and customer trust.

Why this role exists
An agent needs more than a model response to complete useful work. It needs tools, durable execution, permissions, context, and a way to recover when something fails. You'll build the backend that lets Higgsfield agents carry creative tasks from a user's request to a finished result. We're looking for an engineer we can trust with a problem: work out what is worth building, build it, and carry it through to users.
What you'll actually do
- Agent execution: build orchestration for multi-step tasks, tool calls, streaming updates, and cancellation.
- Durable workflows: implement checkpoints, resumability, retries, and recovery without duplicating actions.
- Tools and integrations: connect agents to generation, editing, and external services through clear, validated interfaces.
- Execution boundaries: enforce user permissions, tenant isolation, resource limits, and approval requirements for consequential actions.
- Evaluation and observability: trace failures, build regression cases, and improve task completion, latency, and cost.
- Ownership: understand a real user task → define success and build evaluation cases → scope the simplest useful workflow → ship → measure completion, reliability, and dollar impact → improve from failed runs. Our release cycle is days, not quarters, so your first shipped agent capability happens fast.
Must-haves
1. You've taken a difficult problem from an unclear starting point to a working system used in production, and can explain your own decisions, contribution, and results.
2. You can build reliable agent execution: state machines, concurrency, queues, recovery, model APIs, secure tool calls, and repeatable evaluations. You learn unfamiliar tools quickly and understand what you ship.
3. You choose the next steps, remove blockers, and ask for help when needed. You cut scope to test an idea, adapt from evidence, and keep working through difficult problems.
4. You investigate real user tasks and failed agent runs, use feedback to choose what to automate, and stop workflows that do not help users finish their work.
5. You take feedback, change your mind when the evidence changes, and do the work the team needs. You share knowledge and responsibility so others can operate and extend what you build.
Who this is not for
- You prefer deterministic application behavior without investigating model uncertainty.
- You prefer prototyping without owning evaluation, recovery, and production reliability.
Nice to have
- Production agents, workflow engines, or developer tools.
- High-throughput systems with heavy traffic, large data volumes, or many long-running jobs.
- Agent context management, memory, subagents, or parallel tool calls.
- Sandboxed execution and scoped authorization.
- Multimodal workflows involving images, video, or audio.
4. Product fit interview: scope a useful tool-using workflow, evaluate failures, and explain when user feedback would lead you to change or stop it.
5. Offer.

3. Additional technical interview, if needed: a deeper discussion of technical skills and open questions.
4. Product fit interview: turn a user problem into a small first release, decide what to leave out, and explain how feedback would change the solution.
5. Offer.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As an Integrity and Authenticity Policy Manager, you will be responsible for developing, refining, and maintaining policies that prevent the misuse of AI systems for deception, manipulation, and unauthorized monitoring at scale. You will serve as the policy owner for risks related to inauthentic behavior, influence activity, surveillance, and the profiling of individuals and groups, and you will help shape policy frameworks across several areas, including authenticity, information integrity, and privacy and surveillance.
Your initial focus will be on translating the Integrity and Authenticity risk framework into clear, enforceable policies, ensuring policy language addresses emerging threats identified by partner teams, and establishing guidelines that enable consistent enforcement decisions. Many of the most serious harms in this space begin with upstream steps that look routine on their own, such as compiling records about a person, automating account creation, or sorting users by inferred identity. Part of your work will be defining where those steps become prohibited. The role will expand as AI capabilities advance. Safety is core to our mission. You will help ensure our products cannot be used to deceive people at scale, monitor and profile people without their knowledge or consent, or sort and target populations based on sensitive characteristics.
Important context for this role: In this position you may be exposed to and engage with explicit content spanning a range of topics, including those of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature, as well as detailed descriptions of privacy violations, surveillance abuses, and deceptive campaigns targeting vulnerable people.
Key responsibilities
Develop and define policy boundaries for covert monitoring, tracking, and surveillance across different contexts, drawing the distinction between malicious behaviors and compliant dual-use scenarios
Write policy guidance on facial recognition, voice cloning, and geolocation inference, specifying which uses require consent and which are prohibited outright
Map the surveillance lifecycle, from target selection and data collection through analysis and covert deployment, and define the policy line at each stage so that interventions can occur early in the chain
Design and oversee evaluations that measure the model's capability to support social media monitoring, people-finding, predictive profiling, and the identification or tracking of specific people, to build, develop and improve safeguards with cross-functional partners to prevent malicious behaviors
Write and refine external-facing Usage Policy language and develop training guidelines, assessment rubrics, and evaluation protocols for enforcement teams, with emphasis on indicators of covert monitoring and population-level targeting
Validate enforcement decisions and automated assessments, provide policy guidance on complex edge cases such as investigative research into surveillance tools, coordinate with civil society, privacy experts, threat intelligence researchers, and academics, and serve as the escalation point for complex integrity and surveillance cases
Minimum qualifications
Working knowledge of how deceptive campaigns and covert monitoring operate in practice, including account networks, bot operations, data aggregation pipelines, and attribution methods
Familiarity with surveillance technologies and their misuse, including social media monitoring tools, people-search services, location tracking, spyware, facial recognition, and open-source intelligence techniques used against individuals
General knowledge of the global regulatory landscape around data protection, privacy, platform regulation, and digital services accountability
Strong policy writing skills, with the ability to translate complex threat frameworks into clear, enforceable guidelines
Experience designing policies and workflows that enable both clear human enforcement decision-making and technical implementation in ML classifiers and detection pipelines
Strong collaboration skills and extensive experience partnering with Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Threat Intelligence, and Policy teams on cross-functional initiatives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain deceptive tactics, surveillance methods, and policy rationales to diverse audiences, including non-specialists and policymakers
Preferred qualifications
5+ years of experience in policy development, trust and safety, threat intelligence, or platform integrity, with hands-on work on inauthentic behavior, surveillance-related abuse, or data misuse
Experience in privacy policy, privacy engineering, or data protection work, including familiarity with privacy impact assessments and data minimization principles
Experience in intelligence roles, state-aligned monitoring operations, or covert data collection campaigns
Experience investigating inauthentic networks, covert monitoring, or surveillance abuses at a platform, research organization, or government body
Background in digital forensics, open-source intelligence, or threat attribution
Knowledge of persuasion theory, cognitive biases, and deceptive communication techniques, including social engineering and pretexting methods
Familiarity with human rights and privacy frameworks as they apply to surveillance, including protections for journalists, activists, and marginalized communities
Experience with trust and safety operations involving content moderation evasion, bot detection, or platform scraping enforcement
Experience working with EU institutions, regulatory bodies, or policy organizations on AI governance or digital platform regulation
Experience conducting adversarial testing, red teaming, or vulnerability assessments for AI systems or platforms, particularly for misuse involving monitoring or profiling
Familiarity with generative AI capabilities and an understanding of how LLMs can be used for synthetic personas, social engineering, predictive profiling, or surveillance at scale
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$245,000

$285,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

OUR HIRING PROCESS:
We will review your application against our job requirements. We do not employ machine learning technologies during this phase as we believe every human deserves attention from another human. We do not think machines can evaluate your application quite like our seasoned recruiting professionals—every person is unique. We promise to give your candidacy a fair and detailed assessment.
We may then invite you to submit a video interview for the review of the hiring manager. This video interview is often followed by a test or short project that allows us to determine whether you will be a good fit for the team.
At this point, we will invite you to interview with our hiring manager and/or the interview team. Please note: We do not conduct interviews via text message, Telegram, etc. and we never hire anyone into our organization without having met you face-to-face (or via Zoom). You will be invited to come to a live meeting or Zoom, where you will meet our INFUSE team.
