About the Opportunity
As a Staff Engineer, y
ou'll own the
build-out of our security engineering
and DevSecOps capabilities: designing
and developing the security
products, platform services, and
SDKs/Agents that embed protection
directly into how code is
written, built, shipped,
and run.
This is a
role for someone with
real depth in security,
broad coverage across the
stack, and the engineering
muscle to ship. Just as important is
the ability to drive
adoption — security that
lands in complex,
fast-moving business environments
rather than sitting in a
policy document.
What You’ll Be Doing
Architect and build our end-to-end DevSecOps platform
and the SDKs/Agents behind our security products, covering code, build, artifacts, images, deployment, and runtime.
Lead runtime protection through RASP and Java Agent
— bytecode instrumentation, runtime hooking, and detection/interception engines using ASM, ByteBuddy, and Instrumentation, with continuous tuning for performance, stability, and compatibility.
Integrate and productise scanning capabilities
across SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA, code scanning, and image scanning. You'll embed tools like SonarQube and Coverity deep into CI/CD and close the loop from detection through blocking, remediation, and re-test.
Go deep on application security offence and defence
— designing detection, remediation, hardening, and counter-measures for XSS, SQL injection, SSRF, deserialisation, command execution, authentication/authorisation flaws, and API security.
Bring AI-native security engineering to life.
Apply LLMs and AI Agents to vulnerability analysis, rule generation, false-positive attribution, remediation guidance, security knowledge capture, and engineering automation — and build a coherent view of the architecture, mechanics, and security implications.
Embed as the security technical expert inside engineering teams,
driving security standards, onboarding specifications, release gates, risk tiering, and remediation mechanisms that measurably lift the security baseline and delivery quality.
Partner across engineering, architecture, SRE, QA, and business teams
on priority projects, solving the genuinely hard security problems and turning the solutions into reusable platform capability and repeatable practice.
What We Look For In You
Strong computer science and security fundamentals
— deep understanding of operating systems, networking, compilers and the JVM, distributed systems, application security, cloud-native security, and supply chain security. Both breadth and depth.
Expert-level Java,
with hands-on depth in the JVM, ClassLoader, Java Agent, ASM, ByteBuddy, bytecode instrumentation, and performance profiling and tuning. Plus working proficiency in Python or Go.
Substantial production experience with RASP, SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA, image security, and code scanning
— enough to design a capability, integrate the engine, build the platform around it, and take it to scale independently.
Real offensive and defensive experience.
You understand the root causes, exploitation paths, detection logic, bypass techniques, and fixes for common web, API, and microservices vulnerabilities — and can design from both the attacker's and defender's point of view.
Fluency with LLMs and AI Agents,
including a considered view on model capability limits, agent architecture, tool calling, context engineering, evaluation methods, and how AI is reshaping both security engineering and the attack surface.
Strong engineering execution paired with product instinct
— able to lead the design and delivery of security products, platform modules, and SDKs/Agents while balancing security outcomes against performance overhead, integration cost, and long-term operability.
Exceptional ownership,
cross-team communication, and the persistence to move security governance, rule enforcement, and remediation through to a clear result.
Nice to Haves
Security engineering experience at a top-tier internet company, cloud provider, or leading security vendor
You've led the build of a DevSecOps platform, application security platform, RASP, code scanning platform, or cloud-native security platform
Background in security product development, SDK/Agent engineering, vulnerability research, red team exercises, or purple team work
Shipped AI + Security work — security copilots, intelligent rule generation, automated analysis, or remediation recommendation systems
Perks &
Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants

About the Role
As Controller at Alchemy, you'll be responsible for building and leading our end-to-end accounting function.
Leading a growing team, you’ll be responsible for our core accounting operations, strengthening the systems and controls that support the business, and transforming complex financial information into clear insights for company leadership, our Board of Directors, and investors. The ideal candidate combines deep technical accounting expertise with strong business judgment. You’ll be equally comfortable setting the long-term direction of the function, partnering across the company, and rolling up your sleeves to solve challenging accounting and operational problems.
What You’ll Do
- Set the strategy and long-term direction for Alchemy’s accounting function, systems, and team.
- Assume full responsibility for routine financial operations, encompassing the general ledger, AP, AR, and reporting, while managing complex multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations for global operations, including our presence in Romania.
- Own timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Ensure financial statements and accounting practices comply with US GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Architect and refine a scalable accounting infrastructure by managing and optimizing our core financial technology stack, including NetSuite, Orb, Zip, and Ramp.
- Develop policies, procedures, and controls that promote financial accuracy, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strong risk management.
- Oversee tax planning, compliance, and preparation in partnership with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Lead relationships with third-party accounting firms, auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
- Develop and present reporting that gives company leaders meaningful insight into financial and operational performance, and partner with Finance on Board and investor reporting.
- Distill complex financial information into clear recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
- Lead technical accounting and strategic initiatives, including revenue recognition, vendor analysis, customer analysis, and other special projects.
- Collaborate closely with teams across Alchemy, including Finance, Operations, Sales, People, Engineering, and Product.
- Lead, develop, and scale the capabilities of a high-performing accounting team, fostering ownership, rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with leadership experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Head of Accounting, Accounting Director, or similar senior accounting role.
- Public accounting experience paired with meaningful in-house operating experience at a high-growth technology company.
- Strong ownership of accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, consolidations, financial reporting, and close processes.
- Deep technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP and experience applying accounting guidance to complex business transactions.
- Experience building scalable accounting systems, processes, policies, and internal controls with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
- Audit-readiness experience or strong ability to prepare a company for future audits, including documentation, controls, reporting infrastructure, and close discipline.
- Strong business judgment, with the ability to connect detailed accounting work to broader company strategy and decision-making.
- Hands-on operating style, comfortable rolling up their sleeves in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner cross-functionally and explain complex financial topics clearly to leadership, Board members, investors, and cross-functional partners.
- People leadership experience, including leading, developing, and raising the bar for an accounting team.
Nice to Haves
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Experience in a high-growth startup or later-stage private company, ideally Series C/D/E.
- NetSuite experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with billing, procurement, and expense management systems.
- Experience with crypto, digital assets, blockchain, or web3 is a plus, but not required.
- Experience managing external tax, technical accounting, M&A, audit, or advisory partners.

ABOUT ONEPAY
OnePay is the consumer fintech trusted by millions of Americans to make money better.
Our financial system is broken. High fees, low rates, and too few ways to actually grow your money. We’re fixing it. And we’re moving fast.
We’re an all-in-one financial services platform that brings together banking, high-yield savings, credit cards, point-of-sale lending, investing, and crypto in one place. We also partner with employers, HCM providers, gig platforms, and others to deliver embedded financial services to millions of employees and frontline workers.
We’re backed by Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, and Ribbit Capital, one of fintech’s most respected investors, giving us rare scale, distribution, and the opportunity to build something truly category-defining.
But what really sets OnePay apart is how we move. Our customers don’t have time to wait… and neither do we. This place moves fast, and we’re looking for people who are:
- Ready to run
- Hungry and driven by urgency
- Exceptional at what they do, with low ego
- Comfortable operating in motion
THE ROLE
This Product Manager role sits at the center of one of OnePay's most significant new product bets: an offering designed to give customers more flexibility around their largest recurring monthly expense. You'll own this product from zero - defining the vision, leading the build, and driving it through launch and into scale. If owning something that matters, built inside a company with the distribution to make it reach millions of people, is what you're looking for, this is the role. You will:
- Own end-to-end product development from ideation through launch and iteration
- Define and drive the roadmap for a net-new consumer financial product, balancing customer needs against risk, compliance, and business constraints
- Partner closely with engineering, design, data, risk, and legal to ship a high-quality consumer experience
- Use data and experimentation to make decisions and drive continuous improvement post-launch
- Navigate underwriting and regulatory requirements as a product owner - a collaborative partner to risk and compliance, not a passenger
- Identify and manage third-party partnerships and integrations required to deliver the product
- Represent the product to senior leadership with clear, data-driven points of view on prioritization and tradeoffs
YOU BRING
- 6-12 years of product management experience in consumer fintech or fast-growing financial technology environments
- A demonstrated track record of owning and a product focusing on splitting Rent/Payments - not just contributing to one
- Knowledge and ability to use AI tools to accelerate development and deliver measurable output
- Deep comfort working at the intersection of consumer experience and financial product constraints
- A strong sense of urgency and high ownership
- High ownership - you take responsibility for outcomes and drive work end to end without waiting to be directed
- Low ego and strong collaboration skills across technical, legal, and executive stakeholders
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive base salary, stock options, and health benefits from Day 1
- 401(k) plan with company match
- Remote-friendly (US), flexible time off (FTO), and opportunities for growth
- A high-growth, mission-driven, inclusive culture where your work has real impact

Perplexity is looking for a dynamic and innovative contributor to join our team to help advance the business, improve the products we’re building, and revolutionize the way people search and interact with the internet. This unique role offers significant responsibility to apply and strengthen your technical background and combine your legal experience, and offers growth potential in other areas of an in-house practice group.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We seek a technical lead to join our legal operations team to drive infrastructure development across our legal and operations team and support our ambitious growth trajectory within our rapidly growing AI technology company. This unique role will report to the Legal Operations Manager and partner with the General Counsel and VP, Operations on strategic planning, architecting, delivering, and transforming high-volume legal workflows into scalable, automated systems. We're seeking a sharp, innovative technical operations professional with strong business judgment, practical problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of high-growth startup environments. Ideally, this person also brings legal expertise alongside technical know-how. You’ll build scalable processes and establish foundational systems that will scale with our growth. Success requires someone who is inquisitive, has entrepreneurial drive, and the agility to thrive in our fast-paced environment while shaping our non-technical orgs from the ground up at a cutting-edge AI technology company.
ABOUT THE ROLE
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architect and build Perplexity's Legal and Operations Engineering platform — a coherent stack of agents, workflows, and evaluation infrastructure that replaces manual, high-volume legal work across commercial contracting, e-discovery, enterprise redlining, subsidiary governance, vendor onboarding, and litigation and matter management.
- Own the enterprise contracting automation system end-to-end.
- Ship the in-product legal surfaces built on Perplexity and Computer itself
- Consolidate today's ad-hoc legal bots, prompts, and scripts into a documented, observable, and reusable platform with clear conventions for personas, tools, evals, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
- Serve as the technical partner to the General Counsel. Translate complex, judgment-heavy legal workflows into engineered systems, and translate engineering constraints back to non-technical stakeholders.
- Evaluate, retire, or replace third-party tools where a purpose-built internal system gives us a structural advantage.
- Be the case study for forward-deployed engineering in non-engineering functions at Perplexity. Success here becomes the playbook for Legal, Recruiting, People, Workplace, and Operations.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 3+ years of backend software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems at meaningful scale.
- A working knowledge of legal concepts, with some experience in legal operations or paralegal work is desired.
- Strong business judgment and practical problem-solving; comfortable making operational calls with incomplete information and calibrating risk in real time.
- Track record building scalable processes and foundational systems from scratch, not maintaining a mature function.
- Fluency with modern legal tech and AI tools; disciplined human-in-the-loop practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work directly with senior legal, finance, and executive stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial drive, intellectual curiosity, and agility to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience at an AI-native, SaaS, or consumer technology company operating at Perplexity’s pace.
- Familiarity with e-billing platforms (e.g., Brightflag), matter management, CLM, and entity management systems.
- Comfort with ambiguity, rapid context-switching, and a builder mentality.
