ABOUT MOTHERDUCK
Don’t let the quirky name fool you: At MotherDuck, we’re on a mission to make data warehousing fun, frictionless, and ducking awesome for developers and data practitioners building blazing fast internal and customer-facing analytics experiences. We're building a cloud-hosted version of DuckDB, working hand-in-hand with the creators of the fastest-growing and fastest-improving query engine on the planet. Unlike other databases, MotherDuck was architected to unify local development with cloud operations to bridge the gap between software and data engineering workflows. Our team is a mix of thoughtful, passionate, and empathetic data industry veterans.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Database team is the bridge between DuckDB and the cloud. We own the core server and client extension logic that lets DuckDB run seamlessly, whether it's local or in the cloud, and we work in C++ right alongside the DuckDB codebase itself. Our mission is to push the boundaries of embedded database performance, distributed execution, and user experience, all while staying closely connected to DuckDB Labs (the team behind DuckDB) to align on APIs and shape what's next.
Day to day, we drive major projects in dual execution, resource assignment, and system reliability, while also handling incoming issues and lending our DuckDB expertise to other teams. We collaborate closely across MotherDuck and with the wider DuckDB community, making sure people get the best of both local and cloud worlds. It's a small, high-agency team with big ambitions... the kind of place where engineers own impactful projects, share what they learn, and help shape how modern analytics gets built.
This role is ideally based in Amsterdam or Berlin, but we are also open to great candidates remotely in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own major projects in our dual execution stack, so DuckDB can process queries seamlessly whether they're running locally or in the cloud.
- Help build a cloud platform that dynamically assigns resources, so DuckDB stays efficient whether someone's running a tiny workload or pushing our biggest, highest-memory instances.
- Lead cross-functional work with our frontend, platform, and infrastructure teams to keep the user experience coherent end to end.
- Push the state of the art in embedded database performance, distributed execution, and DuckDB internals.
- Deepen your DuckDB expertise and share it with the rest of the company through mentorship and documentation.
- Work directly with our support team to debug issues, learn from real usage patterns, and prioritize the improvements that matter most.
- Improve systems holistically... spotting architectural challenges early and clearing bottlenecks before they become problems.
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for engineering practices across the team.
- Work closely with DuckDB Labs (which grew out of the Database Architectures group at CWI, where vectorized execution and DuckDB were born) to help align on APIs and shape where DuckDB goes next.
WHAT YOU BRING
- You've built and shipped complex backend systems, and you know what great looks like.
- You're fluent in a backend language like C++, Rust, Java, or similar systems languages, and you're comfortable working close to the metal. (C++ and Rust are the biggest plus here, and we love a great Java engineer too.)
- A good foundation in query engines, execution plans, indexing, and performance optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with DuckDB is a huge plus, no matter what level you're coming in at.
- You've worked with cloud infrastructure, networking, and building low-latency distributed systems.
- You can scope and lead projects that span multiple collaborators and cross-functional dependencies.
- You take pride in clear thinking, careful design, and thoughtful tradeoffs.
- You're comfortable mentoring peers and helping build a collaborative, high-agency environment.
- You enjoy engaging with the wider community, whether that's open-source conversations or working directly with DuckDB Labs.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
- The opportunity to participate and contribute to DuckDB, one of most popular modern open source analytical databases.
- Competitive salary and stock options so you have a stake in our flock’s success.
- Flexible time off – take the time you need to recharge, explore, or just have a lazy day by the pond.
- A good pension plan
- Legendary company events – we bring the whole flock together once a year for unforgettable summits in fun locations, plus 1-2 team gatherings a year to keep our bonds strong.
- Hybrid work environment – Spend three days a week in the office collaborating with the flock, and work from wherever you’re most productive the rest of the time—whether that’s your home office, a coffee shop, or a peaceful lakeside retreat. We have to warn you though, most of us like the office so much we come anyway. It’s on the river Ij, with a great lunch every day.
PLEASE APPLY
Does this role sound appealing to you, but you’re missing some of the requirements or don’t quite think you’re qualified? Please apply anyway. Research has shown that underrepresented groups in technology often shy away from roles which aren’t a 100% match. We aim to build a diverse team and will strongly consider applicants who bring many of the requirements plus have other experiences which round out their qualifications.

We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. - Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple products, launches, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience working directly with product designers, engineers, sales teams, creative teams, retailers, and senior leadership.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Product / Web Designer at junior level to join our APAC Partnerships team in Vladivostok, working with our HQ Design team. This role is the design half of a two-person build pair: you and the Partnerships Backend Engineer take an inbound partnerships inquiry and turn it into something a player actually sees — a co-branded web shop, a campaign landing page, a creator or affiliate destination page — and ship it together.
You will design conversion-oriented commerce surfaces for the Traffic Source Partners we onboard, adapt Xsolla and partner brand systems into one coherent look per campaign, and build a reusable component library so the next campaign launches faster than the last one. You will hand off to engineering with real specs and then review the implementation until it matches.
This is an entry-level design role with a live audience. We care more about your portfolio and your eye than your years of experience — recent graduates and self-taught designers with strong work are welcome. If you like designing things that get measured, and you want to see your work convert real traffic in APAC markets, we would love to hear from you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design partner-facing surfaces
Design the frontend surfaces created for Traffic Source partnerships: co-branded web shop themes, campaign landing pages, affiliate and creator destination pages, promotional banners, and in-shop merchandising.
Design responsive, mobile-first layouts with the purchase funnel in mind — clarity, hierarchy, trust signals, and a short path to checkout.
Adapt Xsolla brand guidelines and each partner's brand into a single coherent visual system per campaign, without breaking either.
Localise and adapt designs for APAC markets, accounting for language length, local conventions, and regional payment and merchandising context.
Ship with engineering
Work directly with the Partnerships Backend Engineer to take designs from Figma into working frontend — provide specs, states, breakpoints, tokens, and exported assets, then review the build until it matches the design.
Build and maintain a reusable component and template library so new partner campaigns can be assembled rather than designed from scratch.
QA implemented pages across browsers and devices and raise the gaps.
Supporting work
Create supporting collateral for partnerships inquiries: pitch visuals, one-pagers, deck slides, and social or creator kit assets.
Collaborate with HQ Design, follow and contribute to the Xsolla design system, and keep design files, naming, and handoff documentation organised.
Take feedback constructively from HQ Design, Partnerships, and partners, and iterate quickly.
Track work in Jira and keep design documentation current in Confluence.
REQUIREMENTS
1–4 years of experience in product, web, or UI design, or a strong portfolio of personal, freelance, or academic work. A portfolio is required for this application.
Proficiency in Figma — components, auto-layout, variants, and prototyping.
Solid grounding in layout, typography, visual hierarchy, colour, and responsive / mobile-first design.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for asset production.
An understanding of what makes a landing page convert, and a willingness to have your design judged on that.
Able to work within an existing design system and brand guidelines rather than around them.
Attention to detail and a high standard of quality in design execution.
English sufficient for daily collaboration with the HQ Design team; Russian for day-to-day work in the Vladivostok office.
Based in, or willing to relocate to, Vladivostok for an onsite role.
NICE TO HAVE
Basic HTML and CSS — enough to spec accurately and QA an implementation.
Motion and micro-interaction work (After Effects, Framer Motion, Rive, Lottie).
Experience designing e-commerce, storefront, or checkout flows.
Experience with marketing landing pages, A/B testing, or conversion optimisation.
Illustration, 3D, or custom asset creation skills.
Familiarity with the gaming industry, creator and influencer marketing, or affiliate campaigns.
Additional languages relevant to APAC coverage (Korean, Chinese, Japanese).
Professional education in design or a related field.
BENEFITS
We are passionate about fostering a supportive environment for our team, so we prioritize the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our employees and their families through a comprehensive Benefits Program. This includes 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision plans, Flexible Time Off, and a personalized career roadmap for each employee. ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Backend Engineer at junior level to join our APAC Partnerships team in Vladivostok, working alongside our HQ Integration Management and Engineering teams. Your job is to make partnerships technically real: turning an inbound partnerships inquiry into a working integration, generating and serving the affiliate and referral links that Traffic Source Partners use, and making sure the traffic those links carry lands correctly in our Web Shops and is attributed all the way through to a purchase.
You will write the backend that sits between a partner and our commerce platform — link generation, click and conversion tracking, attribution pass-through, postbacks, and the reporting endpoints that feed partner payouts. You will also build the internal tooling that lets the Partnerships and Customer Success teams onboard partners and reconcile payouts without hand-editing spreadsheets.
This is an entry-level engineering role with genuine product surface area. Recent graduates and career-changers with a strong project portfolio are welcome. If you like small, well-scoped systems that other people depend on daily, and you want to learn commerce, attribution, and payments engineering from a team that runs it at global scale, we would love to hear from you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build partner integrations
Build and maintain backend services that power Traffic Source partnerships: affiliate and referral link generation, click and conversion tracking, attribution parameter pass-through, server-to-server postbacks and webhooks, and partner-facing reporting endpoints.
Take new partnerships inquiries from intake through to production — clarify the requirement with the Partnerships and BD teams, write the technical spec, implement, test, and deploy.
Integrate affiliate links with Xsolla Web Shops so partner-driven traffic is tracked end to end and attributed correctly at checkout.
Read a partner's API documentation and build against it; where a partner needs to build against us, document our side clearly and support their integration.
Tooling & data
Build internal tooling and scripts for partner onboarding, bulk link generation, performance data extraction, and payout reconciliation reporting used by the Customer Success and Partnerships teams.
Investigate and resolve attribution and tracking discrepancies together with Analytics and Customer Success — missing conversions, duplicate events, broken parameters, timing mismatches.
Add logging, metrics, and alerting so integration failures are caught by us rather than reported by a partner.
Ways of working
Write and maintain API documentation and integration guides for partners and internal stakeholders.
Participate in code review, write tests, and work within existing CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
Work with the HQ Engineering and Integration Management teams on standards and architecture; escalate design decisions early rather than working around them.
Collaborate closely with the Partnerships Designer on the frontend surfaces your integrations power, and with Customer Success on the payout data your services produce.
Track work in Jira and keep technical documentation current in Confluence.
REQUIREMENTS
1–4 years of professional backend development experience, or a strong portfolio of personal, academic, or internship projects you can walk us through. Recent graduates are welcome.
Working proficiency in at least one backend language — Go, PHP, Python, Node.js / TypeScript, or Java.
Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals (schema design, joins, indexing basics).
Good understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and API authentication (API keys, OAuth 2.0).
Comfortable with Git and working in a code-review culture.
Able to debug a problem you did not write — read logs, reproduce, isolate, and explain the cause.
English sufficient for technical discussion and written documentation with HQ teams; Russian for day-to-day work in the Vladivostok office.
Based in, or willing to relocate to, Vladivostok for an onsite role.
NICE TO HAVE
Exposure to affiliate or performance marketing technology: tracking pixels, S2S postbacks, click IDs and UTM parameters, last-click attribution, deduplication, or traffic-quality and fraud filtering.
E-commerce, storefront, checkout, or payments integration experience.
Frontend basics (JavaScript / TypeScript, React) — enough to work productively with the Partnerships Designer on shop and landing-page surfaces.
Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (GCP or AWS).
Message queues, scheduled jobs, or data pipeline experience.
Familiarity with analytics or BI tooling.
Interest in the gaming industry, fintech, or high-load consumer platforms.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Customer Success Manager at junior level to join our APAC Partnerships team in Vladivostok. You will work side by side with our HQ and APAC Customer Success Managers, supporting the day-to-day success of the Traffic Source Partners we onboard — affiliates, media partners, creator networks, and publishers who drive players to the web shops we operate for game developers.
The centre of gravity of this role is account management operations, and in particular partner payouts:making sure every partner is set up correctly, that their performance data is accurate, that their payout is calculated, documented, approved and paid on time, and that any discrepancy is chased down and closed. It is detailed work that partners feel immediately — getting it right is how trust in the programme gets built.
This is an entry-level position with real ownership from day one. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, provided you have the right attitude and eagerness to learn. If you are organised, comfortable with numbers, enjoy being the reliable person other teams can count on, and want to learn the commercial side of the games industry from the inside, we would love to hear from you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner payouts & account operations (primary)
Own the recurring payout cycle for onboarded Traffic Source Partners: collect and validate performance data, prepare payout calculations against agreed commercial terms (revenue share, CPA, fixed fee, bonuses), and submit them for approval.
Work with Finance, Legal, and Partnerships to make sure each partner's invoicing, tax, and banking documentation is complete and current before payment.
Investigate and resolve payout discrepancies — missing conversions, mismatched reporting periods, currency and FX questions, adjustments and clawbacks — and communicate the outcome clearly to the partner.
Maintain accurate partner records: contacts, contract terms, payout schedules, tracking setup, and account status in CRM (Salesforce) and internal trackers.
Produce recurring reporting: weekly partner status, monthly payout reconciliation, and inputs for quarterly business reviews.
Customer success support
Support the HQ and APAC CSM team on standard customer success duties across the partner portfolio — meeting preparation, follow-ups, action-item tracking, and documentation.
Help onboard new Traffic Source Partners: account setup, documentation, tracking-link setup, first campaign, and first payout.
Act as first-line responder for partner questions, escalating technical issues to Engineering and commercial questions to the account owner.
Monitor partner performance dashboards and proactively flag anomalies — traffic drops, conversion drops, stalled integrations, unpaid balances — before they become escalations.
Act as the voice of the partner internally, liaising with Product, Engineering, Design, BD, and Support so requests are delivered accurately and on time.
Ways of working
Coordinate across time zones with HQ, APAC Partnerships, and regional teams.
Keep process documentation, decision logs, and onboarding notes current in Confluence; track work in Jira.
Spot the repetitive parts of the payout and reporting process and propose ways to simplify or automate them.
REQUIREMENTS
1–4 years of experience in customer success, account management, partner or affiliate operations, ad operations, finance operations, or a comparable client-facing or operational role. Fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome.
Fluent in English; you will work in English daily with HQ and APAC colleagues and partners.
Strong numeracy and confident spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets / Excel: lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation).
Exceptional attention to detail. This role touches money movement; accuracy matters more than speed.
Highly organised and self-directed — able to run a recurring process on a calendar without being chased.
Clear written communicator, able to explain a payout calculation or a tracking issue in plain language to a partner or a teammate.
Comfortable working across APAC and HQ time zones and in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift.
Based in, or willing to relocate to, Vladivostok for an onsite role.
NICE TO HAVE
Exposure to affiliate marketing, performance marketing, ad networks, or creator and influencer programmes.
Familiarity with CRM tooling (Salesforce), Jira and Confluence, or BI dashboards.
Basic understanding of invoicing, VAT or withholding tax, and cross-border payment flows.
Interest in the gaming industry, payments and fintech, or B2B SaaS.
Additional languages relevant to APAC coverage (Korean, Chinese, Japanese).
Any prior experience in coordination, support, operations, or student project lead roles.

About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
Wolt is a technology company that makes it incredibly easy to discover and get the best restaurants, grocery stores and other local shops delivered to your home or office. Wolt works together with over 30,000 restaurant and retail partners as well as with over 60,000 courier partners across 23 countries and 129 cities.
Our apps (iOS and Android) have the industry’s highest reviews, largely because of our customer-centric approach to how we build our products and operations. For example, our customer service team responds in a matter of seconds, in the customer’s own language.
We’ve raised more than €707M in financing from renowned U.S. and European based investors, such as ICONIQ Capital, Tiger Global, DST, Prosus, KKR, Coatue, 83North, Goldman Sachs, Highland Europe and EQT Ventures & EQT Growth, among others. We've also been fortunate enough to receive some appreciation and recognition for our hard work along the way: Apple selected Wolt’s app as their Editors' Choice, Wired named the company one of the "Hottest Startups in Europe," Forbes included our CEO Miki Kuusi on its 30-under-30 in Consumer Tech list, and the Nordic Startup Awards named Wolt Company of the Year.
In 2020, the Financial Times named us Europe’s second fastest growing company. We’re still expanding rapidly and are looking for more talented individuals to join us. If you are passionate about cutting-edge technology, great food, and making an impact in your city, then Wolt just might be for you.
Wolt is more than just a food and retail delivery operation – in fact we are built upon a solid foundation of state-of-the-art technology. Our internal tooling enables us to ramp up new cities efficiently and provide excellent customer service, our own logistics platform allows us to optimize our couriers' work to get you the food you want as fast as possible, and our restaurant platform allows restaurants to offer exciting food experiences for our customers in an optimal way.
We work in small teams with high ownership, with each team focusing on a key area of the Wolt product stack. Every one of our product team members has a say in where we are going and what solutions we implement. We work with a passion, but we haven't forgotten how to have fun along the way!
