Location: London, United Kingdom - Deliveroo
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
About the Role
As a Senior Enterprise Security Engineer, you will lead the design and operation of security controls that protect our internal networks, workforce identities, endpoints and corporate systems. You will be working globally with security teams across US, EU and APAC, delivering against our goals and objectives - reducing risk and maturing controls.
As a Senior, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy. You will define technical direction, make architectural decisions, and deliver complex security initiatives end-to-end. You will be expected to balance risk reduction with usability, ensuring controls are robust without impeding employee productivity.
This role focuses on Identity and Access Management (IAM), Endpoint security (EDR), Network Security, logging and detection engineering, and secure SaaS enablement. You will work closely with IT, Legal, Privacy, Engineering and business stakeholders to embed security as a default practice across the organisation.
Security controls will be aligned to recognised frameworks such as the CIS Critical Security Controls and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Control Implementation:
Design, deploy, and maintain core corporate security controls, including phishing-resistant MFA, Just-In-Time (JIT) access, strict role-based access control (RBAC), zero-trust architectures, device and identity bound proofing and modern network isolation.
Tooling Ownership:
Serve as the technical owner for a broad suite of corporate security systems, managing deployments, configurations, and API integrations for tools across the corporate environment.
Technical Leadership:
Lead and implement the technical strategy for Endpoint Device trust, Data Loss Prevention, Intellectual property storage, and SaaS application security. Alongside wider corporate security technical controls.
Automation & Engineering:
Write scripts and build tools to automate security workflows, incident response tasks, and audit evidence collection for compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with IT and business operations to integrate security tools into everyday workflows. Guide non-security teams to adopt secure baselines (e.g., CIS Benchmarks) as standard practice.
Mentorship:
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff, and help improve the team's engineering standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years’ experience in Security Engineering, Corporate Security, Detection & Response, or a related field.
Hands-on experience administering IAM platforms (e.g. Okta, GoogleWorkspace).
Deep hands-on experience with GoogleWorkspace products
Practical hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (e.g AWS, GCP)
Relevant and practical experience with Infrastructure-as-code (e.g Terraform)
Experience implementing modern authentication standards (FIDO2, WebAuthn, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
Practical experience securing macOS, Windows and Linux endpoints using MDM and EDR/XDR tooling.
Experience operating SIEM and/or SOAR platforms and tuning detection logic.
Experience with vulnerability management and patch governance.
Ability to write production-quality automation scripts.
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
Desirable Skills
Experience with SASE or Zero Trust Network Access platforms.
Hands on experience deploying applications into K8 and Docker environments
Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and SaaS security governance.
Advanced detection engineering or SOAR playbook development.
Experience supporting ISO 27001 or SOC 2 audits.

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Product team defines how millions of people experience Deliveroo, turning complex marketplace challenges into simple, high-impact solutions.
Working at the intersection of data, design and engineering, we set direction, prioritise what matters most, and deliver outcomes that move the business forward.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our London team. This is a hybrid role. In this role, you’ll help us define and build purpose-built, highly differentiated shopping experiences across our growing portfolio of Retail categories.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Retail Categories team. Retail only wins category by category; a single, generic shopping experience cannot do justice to the unique ways people buy apparel, auto parts, or home improvement goods. This role owns the end-to-end category shopping experience for a defined portfolio, transforming broad customer promises into shipped surfaces and distinct emotional hooks that drive habitual buying behavior.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Define Category Strategy:
Formulate the category experience strategy and decide which categories and bets to invest in first, sequencing for maximum growth and impact.
Execute Signature Product Bets:
Translate each category's promise into concrete, testable product bets—such as personal-shopper features using doorstep returns for Apparel or fitment-accurate part lookup for Auto Parts—and ship them end to end.
Optimise Category Surfaces:
Own the category merchandising and storefront surfaces that differentiate one vertical from another while maintaining a cohesive and intuitive Retail experience.
Leverage Platform Capabilities:
Partner with shared platform infrastructure (such as doorstep returns or fulfillment) to build bespoke category experiences without rebuilding core infrastructure.
Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner deeply with BD, Sales, Catalog, and Search teams to ensure category surfaces are powered by accurate data and align cleanly with merchant relationships.
Measure Impact:
Use data, customer insight, and experimentation to prioritise initiatives, define success metrics, and directly move the needle on conversion and repeat purchases.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Essential
Proven Consumer Product Experience:
Demonstrated success in product management on consumer-facing products, ideally within e-commerce, marketplaces, or multi-sided platforms.
Track Record of 0-to-1 Innovation:
Proven ability to ship brand-new or highly differentiated shopping experiences, navigating ambiguity to break broad opportunities into focused, testable bets.
Strong Analytical Capabilities:
Comfort driving data-informed prioritisation, establishing robust success metrics, and utilising experimentation to measure category-level impact.
Stakeholder & Business Partnership:
Experience partnering closely with cross-functional product teams (Engineering, Design, Analytics) as well as commercial teams like BD and Sales to align business needs with product strategy.
Customer-Obsessed Product Instinct:
A natural intuition for customer behaviour, understanding what makes a shopping experience feel right and how to design the emotional hook that drives retention.
Nice to Have
Specialised Retail Domain Knowledge:
Prior experience working with merchandising, category management, product detail pages (PDP), or specialised shopping flows.
Data Structure Familiarity:
Experience working alongside Catalog or Search product areas to power front-end surfaces with complex item data.

Love solving ambiguous, high-impact business problems
Are equally comfortable analysing data and influencing senior stakeholders
Enjoy working across multiple teams to turn ideas into execution

Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
The Dev Environments team sits within DoorDash's Foundations group (Platform Engineering). We own the local and remote developer experience across the DoorDash group of companies supporting over 5000 engineers. Our mission is to enable engineering velocity, quality, and efficiency at significant scale by removing friction from the day-to-day developer loop: spinning up a working environment, getting code building, and getting feedback fast, whether the "developer" is a human or an AI agent.
As a Staff Engineer on Dev Environments, you'll be recognised as an expert across the dev environments space, covering both local and remote dev flows, devcontainers, IDE/remote backends, and how they all fit together, including owning accountability for outcomes that span multiple teams. You'll set technical direction for the team's roadmap, unblock deep cross-cutting technical problems other engineers can't resolve alone, and mentor senior and mid-level engineers. You'll partner closely with engineering leadership across the group to translate ambiguous, company-wide developer-experience problems into a concrete, sequenced technical strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
Technical direction
Define the architecture for how thousands of engineers across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo actually develop and ship code: local and remote dev containers, remote IDE/VM lifecycle, and the full local-to-remote loop.
Build monorepo dev tooling at scale. It's part of consolidating all the companies under DoorDash’s umbrella onto one global backend - you're setting the standard, not patching one org's tooling.
Provision production-shaped environments in seconds, keep state in sync over the network, and make a remote machine feel local, reliably and cheaply, at thousands-of-concurrent-engineers scale.
Expect to invent as much as you adopt: much of this is genuinely unsolved elsewhere in the industry.
Design for AI agents as first-class consumers of the environment, not an afterthought: sandboxes that spin up on demand, run in parallel, and are safe to hand a real repo.
Support agents launched from an IDE, a CLI, or a Slack message - with no laptop required to review and ship what the agent did.
Collaboration & leadership
Align teams that don't naturally sit adjacent to each other (e.g. Security, Infrastructure, Product Engineering) around unstructured, ambiguous problems where there's no existing playbook.
Mentor engineers at all levels: run design reviews; raise the engineering bar through code review, pairing, and architectural guidance when appropriate.
Help set the hiring bar: lead interview loops, help calibrate, and support onboarding of senior hires.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Essential:
A track record of shipping production systems and leading cross-team initiatives with group level impact - comfortable owning delivery end to end, from design through to production and adoption.
Hands on fluency with the languages and tooling used to build developer tooling (e.g. Go, Python, TypeScript) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
Experience managing compute via Kubernetes (multi-tenant workload isolation, autoscaling ephemeral workloads, cost management), or lightweight VM/sandbox technology (e.g. Firecracker).
Working knowledge of cloud networking, including securely and cost-effectively routing traffic across network boundaries (VPNs, service meshes, etc.)
Experience integrating LLM/AI tooling into developer workflows - e.g. Claude Code - both locally, and remotely.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to influence senior stakeholders and align multiple non-adjacent teams without formal authority over them.
Experience building close working relationships with the engineering teams who consume your platform, not just the platform team itself.
Nice to have:
Experience in developer platforms or adjacent infrastructure: devcontainers, remote development, remote IDE backends, or developer workstation tooling.
Practical experience with JetBrains remote-backend flows, Codespaces/Codeserver-style products, or equivalent.
Experience with remote build/execution systems (e.g. BuildBuddy), or large-scale build caching.

We’re looking for a
Software Engineer, Backend
to join our
London
team. This role is based in our London office with a
hybrid
setup, typically 3 days in the office.
Get to know our
Engineering
team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.
About the Team
The Core BI team builds and operates the services, integrations and automation that power business intelligence across DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt. Our platforms help analysts, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers and business teams discover trusted data and make informed decisions at scale.
We combine software engineering, platform ownership, and a strong user focus to make BI tooling reliable, secure, scalable and self-service. The team supports the current BI ecosystem while helping shape a more integrated experience across the DoorDash group.
About the Role
As a Software Engineer on the Core BI team, you will build and operate the backend services, APIs and infrastructure our BI platforms run on. This is a hands-on software and platform engineering role: services and integrations, identity and access automation, observability, reliability and developer experience. BI is the domain you serve (primarily Looker and Sigma, and the systems around them), but the problems are backend and platform problems.
You will own problems from discovery through design, implementation, deployment, and operational support. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Product Managers and business teams to turn recurring user needs into durable, self-service capabilities. If you're energized by solving technical problems with data and comfortable being deeply embedded across several domains, this role is for you!
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
Design, build, test, deploy and operate the backend services, APIs and automation that the BI platforms across DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt depend on
Automate the platform lifecycle end to end (provisioning, metadata, permissions, migrations, archival and validation) so administration stops being manual work
Build the integrations between BI platforms and the wider ecosystem: warehouses, identity providers, orchestration, CI/CD and internal developer tooling
Improve the availability, observability, performance, scalability and security of the systems you own, and carry them in production
Use AI tooling as part of how you engineer, and where it fits, build LLM-backed capabilities held to the same reliability and governance bar as anything else we ship
Raise the engineering bar on the team, from service design and code review to testing, CI/CD and documentation, and improve the developer experience for everyone building on the platform
We’re excited about you because…
3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production backend, platform or infrastructure systems
Readable, maintainable, well-tested code in Python, plus comfort with SQL and a working understanding of data modelling and warehousing concepts
Experience building and owning APIs, integrations or automation in production, with sound judgement on service boundaries, authentication, data contracts and failure modes
Hands-on with CI/CD, containers and Kubernetes, observability, debugging and incident response, and you expect to operate what you build
Hands-on experience using AI tools (LLMs, agentic workflows, AI-assisted development) as part of how you engineer, and judgement about where they help and where they do not
End-to-end ownership of ambiguous problems, clear communication with technical and non-technical teams, and comfort self-organising in a fast-paced, distributed environment
Nice to Have
Experience owning or integrating with BI platforms such as Looker, Sigma or comparable tools, and familiarity with semantic layers such as LookML or dbt
Experience automating identity and access through Okta, SCIM or role-based access controls, or building multi-tenant platforms across brands and regions
Experience shipping LLM-backed features to real users (retrieval, grounding and evaluation), or with MCP, agent frameworks or tool-calling in production

Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
About the Team
It’s an exciting time to join our rapidly growing Accounting team with ample development opportunities. We're growing the Revenue Data team with Engineering and Accounting Data openings to drive automation and systems infrastructure. All whilst while keeping pace within one of the fastest growing marketplace companies globally.
About the Role
The Engineer for Accounting Infrastructure and Systems designs, builds, and maintains the scalable backend services, data pipelines, and integrations that power DoorDash / Deliveroo's accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows. Working closely with Finance, Accounting, and fellow engineers, this role translates complex financial and regulatory requirements into reliable, automated systems that ensure accuracy, auditability, and compliance at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong distributed-systems and data engineering expertise along with a solid understanding of financial processes, and takes technical ownership of critical projects while mentoring junior engineers and helping shape the team's architecture and best practices.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
Take technical ownership of critical accounting infrastructure projects — designing and building the backend services, data pipelines, and integrations that power DoorDash's financial reporting, reconciliation, and close workflows at scale.
Partner directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into reliable, auditable, and automated systems.
Shape the team's architecture and engineering best practices, mentoring junior engineers and raising the technical bar across the organization.
Drive measurable improvements in data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system performance in a high-impact, compliance-critical environment.
We're excited about you because…
You have 3 - 4+ years of experience in software or data engineering, with a strong track record of owning and delivering complex backend or data infrastructure projects.
You have deep expertise in distributed systems and data engineering, with hands-on experience in tools like Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, or similar modern data stack technologies.
You can navigate the intersection of engineering and finance — understanding concepts like revenue recognition, reconciliation, and auditability well enough to build systems that meet those requirements.
You have a collaborative, low-ego approach and can effectively partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and Engineering.
Familiarity with SOX controls, data quality frameworks, or financial systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a strong plus.
Why Join Us?
At DoorDash, you’ll do work that matters, solving real-world problems in a massive marketplace that’s constantly evolving.
The Role
Deliveroo is on a mission to transform the way the world thinks about food delivery, and B2B marketing is central to how we grow our merchant business. We're looking for a B2B Demand Generation Manager to own paid demand generation across our operating markets and help us win in one of the most competitive categories in tech. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role for a seasoned performance marketer who can own demand gen end-to-end — from strategy and channel mix through to creative, execution, and the leads that actually convert into live, revenue-generating merchants.
Deliveroo operates in a focused set of markets, which means local relevance is everything. You'll work hand-in-hand with country Sales and commercial teams to understand each market's strategy, adapt the demand gen playbook to local realities, and choose the channels and tactics that will move the needle in each one. Rather than running a single global template, you'll tailor your approach country by country while building the repeatable systems that let us scale what works.
You'll manage significant budgets across a broad channel mix (Meta, TikTok, Google, programmatic and beyond) and you'll be equally comfortable crafting a sharp lead-gen campaign and a brand awareness push to win back share against multiple well-funded competitors. You'll partner with creatives to shape intelligent, well-positioned campaigns and testing winners, learning with data what works and can be scaled.
What you'll be responsible for
Owning end-to-end paid demand generation across our markets and B2B products, managing significant budgets across a broad channel mix (Meta, TikTok, Google, programmatic and beyond), experimenting with locally relevant tactics and turning what works into scalable playbooks;
Partnering closely with country Sales and commercial stakeholders to understand local strategy and market dynamics, and adapting the demand gen playbook to each market;
Building a lead generation engine that converts, looking beyond raw lead volume to lead quality, merchants that go live, and the GOV (Gross Order Value) they generate
Partnering with creative on full-funnel campaigns and sharp positioning, from lead generation through to brand awareness that defends and grows share in a highly competitive category, working independently with country teams;
Driving automation and AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort;
Supporting new product and feature launches with go-to-market demand generation campaigns;
Owning reporting and measurement, defining success from spend through to live merchants and GOV, and building strong relationships with Sales, Product and commercial teams to drive real business impact.
What you'll be able to demonstrate
Essential
A seasoned performance marketer with 5–8 years running high-budget B2B paid campaigns across multiple channels with real strength in Meta, TikTok and Google Search and across multiple countries, products or clients;
SMB B2B experience: you build lead generation pipelines that convert, thinking beyond the lead to good leads, merchants that go live, and the GOV they generate;
Strong local and commercial instinct: you work naturally with Sales, adapt to each country's strategy, and communicate clearly in English (other languages a plus);
Ability to plan and optimise media investment against business and campaign-level KPIs, and to do in-house media buying;
A spark of creativity and a sharp eye for positioning, you partner with creatives to craft intelligent campaigns and operate independently with country teams;
Analytical and data-driven: you define KPIs, form hypotheses, design tests for statistically significant results, and scale up what works;
Genuine interest in using AI and automation to improve how you work, with concrete examples to back it up.
Nice to have
Familiarity with the Food or Retail industries;
Experience aligning inbound and outbound motions, and knowledge of data enrichment and attribution (e.g. Clay, Cognism, ZoomInfo), ABM or intent-based tools;
Experience with content syndication, paid PR or retail media.

We’re looking for a
Senior Android Engineer
to join our SDUI team. In this role, you’ll help us build and scale our server-driven UI (
SDUI
) platform, enabling teams to build a UI once and have it deploy seamlessly to iOS, Android, and Web without redeploying a new app — performantly and consistently. This role is based in our London office with a hybrid setup, typically three days in the office.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the SDUI team. We own the Android rendering layer of our server-driven UI platform, and the backend services that drive it, ensuring every consumer surface built on it is fast, correct, and visually indistinguishable from native.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Drive technical execution
by designing, building, and evolving the Android SDUI renderer — and the backend services (Kotlin, Golang, Protobuf) that feed it — to handle complex, real-time UI updates at scale.
Lead architectural improvements
and code reviews, ensuring the maintainability, visibility, and operational health of the renderer as more teams build on top of it.
Partner with cross-functional disciplines
(iOS and Web renderer engineers, product and design teams) to plan rollouts, align on platform decisions, and influence the roadmap.
Own large-scale initiatives
from design to delivery — including the push to bring SDUI motion and interaction quality to native-equivalent, and the ongoing migration off legacy rendering systems.
Support the growth of others
by mentoring colleagues and taking an active role in our engineering hiring process.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
5+ years building Android applications at scale
, with a deep understanding of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Backend development experience
, specifically with Golang, Kotlin, and Protobuf, and the comfort to move between client and server code as the work demands.
Experience building or maintaining a server-driven / declarative UI system
, with a keen interest in pushing what's possible with declarative rendering — bonus points if that included Litho or another DSL-based renderer.
A product mindset
, and the instinct to apply it to how you design platform services for the teams that build on top of them.
Demonstrated ownership of technical delivery
within cross-functional teams, guiding implementation choices and technical design for a platform other teams build on.
Strong communication skills
, working across time zones with iOS, Web, and Backend counterparts, plus PMs and multiple product teams.
A pride in software craft
, with a commitment to writing readable, well-designed, and thoroughly tested mobile code.
Bonus points for exposure to Figma-to-code tooling, design-token/theming systems, or accessibility work in mobile rendering.
Why Join Us?
At Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters — solving real problems for a platform that every consumer-facing team builds on. We’re renderer engineers, systems thinkers, and platform builders, brought together by a shared drive to make shipping UI changes fast and safe. Working here you can expect to:

About the Role
Hybrid (3 days per week in the London office required)
Individual contributor role
Fraud is constantly evolving. As our business grows, so do the ways bad actors seek to exploit our products, promotions, and operations.
As the Senior Strategy & Operations Manager for Emerging Fraud & Abuse, you'll lead the discovery, investigation, and mitigation of new and evolving abuse vectors across our platform. Your mission is to identify risks before they become systemic, working across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Legal, and Policy to design scalable solutions that protect our customers, partners, and business.
This isn't a role focused on running existing fraud programmes. It's about identifying what's next.
You'll combine deep analytical thinking with strategic problem solving to uncover emerging threats, quantify business impact, influence product strategy, and build new controls that keep us ahead of increasingly sophisticated fraudsters.
If you enjoy solving ambiguous problems, following the data, and building solutions where no playbook exists, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Identify Emerging Abuse
Proactively identify new fraud patterns, abuse trends, and vulnerabilities across our products, customer journeys, and operational processes.
Investigate anomalies, understand attacker behaviours, and translate observations into actionable mitigation strategies.
Continuously scan for evolving risks, whether driven by organised fraud, policy loopholes, technological change, or new product launches.
Build the Strategy
Define the roadmap for emerging fraud prevention across the business.
Prioritise risks based on customer impact, financial exposure, operational complexity, and strategic importance.
Develop business cases that influence investment in tooling, automation, machine learning, and product improvements.
Turn Insights into Action
Lead complex investigations to understand how abuse occurs and where existing controls can be strengthened.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to design scalable prevention mechanisms rather than tactical fixes.
Establish metrics that measure both emerging risk and the effectiveness of mitigation strategies.
Drive Cross-Functional Execution
Act as the central point of coordination between Fraud, Product, Engineering, Trust & Safety, Customer Operations, Legal, Finance, and Data Science.
Influence roadmaps to ensure fraud prevention is embedded into product development from the earliest stages.
Support major product launches by identifying potential abuse scenarios and recommending preventative controls.
Build Organisational Capability
Develop frameworks for identifying, prioritising, and responding to emerging threats.
Improve how intelligence is shared across teams to ensure new attack patterns are detected and mitigated quickly.
Help foster a culture of proactive fraud prevention across the organisation.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys solving complex, high-impact business problems.
You'll likely come from fraud, trust & safety, cybersecurity, payments, marketplaces, fintech, consulting, or another analytical environment where you've been responsible for identifying and solving new risks.
You'll bring:
Experience investigating complex fraud, abuse, or operational risk problems
Strong analytical skills with SQL and the ability to work comfortably with large datasets
A structured approach to solving ambiguous problems with limited information
Experience influencing Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams without direct authority
The ability to translate technical findings into clear business recommendations
Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of balancing customer experience with risk mitigation
Experience in experimentation, machine learning, fraud detection, marketplace integrity, or trust and safety is advantageous but not essential
You'll thrive here if you...
Love solving problems that don't have an obvious answer
Are naturally curious and enjoy uncovering hidden patterns in data
Think like both an investigator and a strategist
Can connect technical detail with commercial impact
Influence through evidence rather than hierarchy
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and evolving fraud techniques
