About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
Data Center Transaction Principal, Europe
About the role
As a Transaction Principal for Europe at Anthropic, you'll drive the commercial sourcing and transaction execution process for our European data center capacity deals. You'll lead RFP processes, negotiate term sheets, and serve as the central leader ensuring seamless stakeholder alignment from initial sourcing through lease execution.
This role is critical to securing the infrastructure that powers Anthropic's frontier AI systems across Europe — you'll bridge commercial negotiations with complex internal coordination across legal, finance, engineering, and network teams, and partner closely with our Compute Markets team who own the Europe market strategy and government relationships. This is not an established leasing org; you'll be building process alongside execution, and doing so across multiple countries with distinct regulatory, power, and development dynamics.
Responsibilities
Lead the RFP and commercial sourcing process for European data center deals, managing developer outreach, proposal evaluation, and competitive selection across multiple markets
Negotiate term sheets and manage the LOI process, structuring commercial terms that meet Anthropic's technical and business requirements while maintaining strong developer partnerships
Create the bridge from LOI to executed transaction, ensuring all commercial, technical, and legal requirements are satisfied for deal closure
Serve as project manager for cross-functional stakeholder engagement — coordinating due diligence teams, internal and external legal counsel, network organization, platform engineers, and finance to ensure alignment prior to lease execution
Act as the single point of contact for auxiliary organizations including networks, deployments, and government relations, providing regular updates on transaction progress and leasing status
Develop and maintain transaction timelines, tracking critical-path items and proactively identifying risks that could impact deal closure
Ensure all stakeholder requirements are captured and addressed in commercial agreements, translating technical and operational needs into contractual terms
Manage complex digital infrastructure development activities to a construction-ready state, through a developer or directly
Marry the right projects, capital stacks, and developers at the right stages
Navigate country-specific permitting, grid connection, and regulatory requirements that vary significantly across European markets
Document and refine transaction processes and playbooks to enable scalable deal execution as Anthropic expands its infrastructure footprint across the region
Partner with the Compute Markets Manager to prioritize markets, sites, and counterparties, and feed deal learnings back into Europe market strategy
You may be a good fit if you
Have 10+ years of experience in transaction management, commercial real estate, data center leasing, or infrastructure procurement
Possess a proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder transactions from sourcing through execution
Have strong negotiation skills with experience structuring term sheets, LOIs, and commercial agreements
Excel at project management and can coordinate across legal, technical, finance, and operational teams simultaneously
Have experience with RFP processes and competitive sourcing for large-scale infrastructure or real estate transactions
Have experience working in or across European markets, with knowledge of the regional data center and development landscape — including established FLAP-D hubs and emerging markets like the Nordics and Southern Europe
Are comfortable operating across multiple countries with different legal frameworks, languages, and business cultures
Are highly organized with strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on strategic deal objectives
Can operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where processes are being built alongside execution
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and can coordinate effectively across time zones with US-based HQ teams and distributed European partners
It's a bonus if you
Have experience with data center or hyperscale infrastructure transactions specifically
Come from the development side of the industry rather than traditional brokerage/leasing — you understand how DC development works and how value is created (yield-on-cost, cap rates, development fees)
Understand technical requirements for AI/ML workloads including power density, cooling, and network connectivity
Have worked with legal teams on complex lease negotiations or infrastructure agreements across multiple European jurisdictions
Understand utility coordination, power procurement, or energy considerations in data center transactions, particularly in the European context (fragmented national power markets, grid connection queues, renewable PPAs, sustainability and efficiency regulations)
Have familiarity with data sovereignty and regulatory considerations that influence European site selection
Have relationships within the European data center developer, operator, and broker ecosystem
Have a background in corporate development, strategic partnerships, or infrastructure investment
Have experience in high-growth technology companies managing infrastructure expansion

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Training and serving frontier AI models requires data center capacity at a scale and pace that conventional delivery models were not built for. Anthropic's Data Center Capacity Delivery team embeds with developers, general contractors, and third-party partners to take leased and partnered sites from deal close through floor access and operational handover as fast as they can safely be built.
As the Reporting and Controls Lead, you'll own the single view of where every project in the delivery portfolio stands: consolidated milestone tracking from early floor access through floor access and ready-for-service, the integrity of the data behind it, and the capacity projections leadership plans against. You'll build and run the reporting the delivery team and executives rely on, and chase down the schedule and data discrepancies it surfaces.
This is a highly cross-functional role: you'll work with Senior Delivery Managers and Regional Managers in the field, our third-party project-management partners, and the planning, transaction, design, and deployment teams whose inputs and outputs the portfolio schedule depends on.
MOC (Mission + Outcomes + Competencies)
Mission
Give the delivery team and leadership one trustworthy view of where every project stands.
Outcomes
Consolidated milestone tracking (early floor access, floor access, RFS) current across all projects.
Schedule and status data reconciled at the source.
Portfolio capacity projections and variance to plan maintained.
Delivery-review and executive reporting built; data-quality checks automated where possible.
Competencies
Project controls / scheduling on large capital programs.
Portfolio-level, not single-job, reporting.
Scheduling, spreadsheet, and BI tooling fluency.
Identifying, qualifying, and packaging data driven insights that define project and portfolio health.
Responsibilities
Own consolidated milestone tracking across all active and upcoming delivery projects — early floor access, floor access, ready for service — and keep it current
Validate schedule and status data from developers, GCs, and third-party partners; challenge what doesn't reconcile and fix it at the source
Maintain portfolio capacity projections and the variance to plan behind them
Build and maintain reporting for delivery reviews and executive updates
Define the data standards and integrated-schedule and tooling conventions projects report against, with the Program Management Lead
Automate reporting and data-quality checks where possible, including with AI-assisted tools
You may be a good fit if you
Have [7+] years in project controls, scheduling, or program reporting on large capital construction programs — data center, energy, or industrial
Have run consolidated reporting across a multi-project portfolio, not a single job
Are fluent in scheduling, spreadsheet, and BI tooling [e.g. Primavera P6, Excel, Power BI — confirm]
Communicate clearly, in writing and in charts, to technical and executive audiences
Are comfortable building the process while running it
Strong candidates may also have
Hyperscaler, colo, or developer-side program-controls experience
Owner's-side cost controls or earned-value reporting experience
Built planning or reporting tools leveraging AI-assisted development

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is building its own servers, racks, and accelerator systems with contract manufacturers and ODM partners, and deploying them across our fleet of data centers. We are seeking experienced engineers to own how well that hardware gets built.
As a Product Engineer on the Manufacturing Operations team, you are the technical owner of a product at the factory. During development, you gather manufacturing, test, and yield concerns, get them fixed in the design before each build, and sign off that the product is ready to move to the next stage. Once a product is in mass production, you keep it healthy by delivering engineering changes with minimal disruption, qualifying new components and second-source manufacturers, and root-causing yield and field failures.
This is a hands-on role with up to 50% travel to partner factories in the US and abroad. You should be as comfortable debugging a test failure on the line as you are presenting a corrective action plan to leadership.
Representative projects
Take a new accelerator rack from early evaluation to mass production at an ODM: audit the assembly and test process, set yield targets, confirm test coverage, and approve the transition.
Scale manufacturing from one line to multiple and then to a second site or second manufacturer without yield or throughput regressions.
Run a cross-functional root cause on field failures traced to a manufacturing gap, drive corrective action with the ODM/CM, and close the loop with the design itself when required.
Lead an engineering change across manufacturers: BOM and PLM updates, cut-in planning, partner training, validation, and monitor field failures/RMA.
Bring manufacturing requirements and validation data into each development phase review so the engineering team has a single prioritized list of what to fix before the next build.
You may be a good fit if you
Have carried a hardware product from early builds through mass production at a contract manufacturer or ODM.
Have set up or improved assembly and test processes at a manufacturing partner and drove yield, quality, and schedule commitments.
Use structured manufacturing and root-cause methods (DFM, FMEA, SPC, 8D or similar) as a matter of habit, and are an expert at translating messy failure data into clear decisions.
Can write a product-specific test plan and judge whether test coverage is sufficient.
Communicate clearly with partner engineers and operations staff on the floor as well as with leadership in a readout.
Are willing to travel to partner sites up to 50% of the time.
Have a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong candidates may also
Have been the technical lead for a data center hardware program such as: server, storage, switch, rack, or accelerator.
Have stood up a new manufacturing line or site, or brought up a second CM for an existing product.
Have experience with liquid-cooled or high-power-density rack systems.
Possess a Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Have worked closely with sourcing and supply chain teams on component qualification and multi-sourcing strategies.

Anthropic's Safeguards organization builds the policies, evaluations, and enforcement systems that define and hold the limits on how Claude can be used. In this role, you'll own our conventional weapons work.
Defining a crisp boundary between acceptable and harmful requests in this domain is difficult, because the underlying components are dual-use: the same capabilities that serve civilian engineering and research can also contribute to a weapons system. Building the threat models, evaluations, and detection systems that hold that boundary is the core of this role.
Conventional weapons are increasingly defined by software, and the risks reach well beyond firearms: from a model operating a weapons system or writing guidance code, to the weaponization of dual-use platforms. The role spans every weapon class, up to autonomous systems that select and engage targets without human authorization.
You will help define the line between prohibited weapons development and legitimate research and engineering work, and how to operationalize the distinction. This will include translating technical judgment into principles that engineers can implement and enforcement teams can act on.
Key responsibilities
Own and maintain Anthropic's conventional weapons policy, defining the boundary between the activities our models should and should not support
Build the threat models and evaluations that measure how our models could contribute to weapons development, including the software and autonomy components that define modern weapons systems, and keep them current as the technology and its misuse evolve
Partner with engineering to turn the policy into model guardrails, detection systems, and enforcement tooling
Serve as the subject-matter expert for escalations involving conventional weapons content, including rapid response to emerging risks
Build shared understanding of the policy across product, engineering, legal, and leadership, communicating its reasoning to technical and non-technical audiences
Engage external experts as well as government and industry partners, and translate that engagement into stronger policy and enforcement
Minimum qualifications
Have deep, applied expertise in weapons systems and can translate complex technical evidence into sound policy judgments
Experience in a relevant setting, such as a service research laboratory, a defense research or innovation agency, or a company that designs or builds weapons systems
Can write clear, operationally precise policy and explain complex technical topics to non-specialist audiences
Understand the legal frameworks governing weapons and their transfer, and can craft policy that holds up across jurisdictions
Can do rigorous technical analysis of weapons systems using only open sources
Are comfortable with ambiguity and drawn to problems that have no established playbook
Are motivated by preventing misuse without obstructing the legitimate work in the field
Preferred qualifications
A working understanding of machine learning and large language model fundamentals
Hands-on engineering experience in a weapons-relevant technical domain, such as systems engineering, robotics and autonomy, guidance/navigation/control, sensors and signal processing, aerospace or mechanical engineering, materials and energetics, or embedded software
Hands-on experience applying arms export controls (ITAR/EAR) or international arms-control regimes
Experience building or evaluating classifiers, including LLM-based ones, and reasoning about precision and recall for rare, high-consequence categories
Trust & safety or product policy experience at a technology platform

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.

As a Channel Partner Manager for Korea, you will be responsible for building, managing, and scaling strategic partnerships with both System Integrators (SIs) and resellers to accelerate the adoption of our solutions in the Korean market. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and Korea's unique business ecosystem, helping partners integrate our products into their solution portfolios and joint go-to-market strategies.
As a Channel Partner Manager, you will focus on growing the partner Anthropic reseller and services business in Korea and achieving quarterly revenue and partner attach targets through new customers and upsells. You'll be the local owner of these partner relationships in Korea. Our partners will look to you for everything that makes the channel work day to day from initial onboarding to deal registration, enablement, billing and contracting questions, escalations. Our internal teams will look to you for what is happening in the market, how partners are driving new opportunities and growth within existing customers. You'll work closely with the local sales team and the central program team, co-selling on partner-sourced and partner-influenced opportunities and managing direct versus partner conflict as deals arise. Strong business creation skills are needed to identify joint value propositions and explore co-selling models. Much of the process for running the channel in Korea doesn't exist yet, and building it will be a large part of the job in the first year. While revenue contribution is the key metric, building scalable partner engagement and executing joint initiatives are crucial for consistent growth.
This is an early role in a new market for a program we expect to grow well beyond its first two countries. The habits you establish with our first partners in Korea will shape how the program works everywhere else.

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Data Center Operations (DCO) team ensures compute fleet availability through hardware and IT operations. At our partner-operated sites, this role manages the interface between Anthropic and the strategic site operations partner performing day-to-day data hall work.
As the site lead, you own site outcomes for your assigned sites including: deployment velocity, availability, and incident response. Rather than managing operations staff directly, you provide tactical direction, set priorities, and define the standards for the vendor's on-site teams, paired with performance oversight and ongoing operational assessment to ensure all operational commitments are met.
You will define the operational processes, quality gates, and governance rhythms for partner-operated sites. Expect to build the playbook as much as you run it, not just at a site level, but defining and developing program improvements fleet-wide.
What you’ll own
Operational outcomes.
Own site availability, deployment milestones, and repair turnaround, verified with independent data rather than vendor self-reporting.
Vendor direction.
Set daily and weekly priorities and lead the operating cadence, including standups and business reviews.
Process definition.
Author and improve procedures for deployment, break-fix, change management, security, and EHS compliance. Analyze operational trends and standardize lessons across the program.
Performance management.
Track vendor performance against SLAs and staffing commitments, driving corrective actions when necessary.
Incident response and on-call.
Participate in the incident escalation on-call rotation. When designated Anthropic Incident Commander for a site-specific incident, direct vendor response, own communications, and close out post-incident actions.
Internal interface.
Translate engineering requirements into vendor direction and communicate site constraints and risks to leadership.
Representative work
Leading weekly operations reviews and scorecards with vendor site leads.
Directing deployment surges to meet first-compute-online milestones.
Analyzing failure patterns to identify root causes and driving fixes with owners.
Creating break-fix ownership matrices and training vendor teams.
Serving as Incident Commander for facility events and producing post-mortems.
Establishing operational readiness for new data halls, including spares and security.
Identifying process gaps and codifying improvements as program standards.
You may be a good fit if you
Have 8+ years of experience in data center operations (hardware, IT infrastructure, or critical facilities) as a manager, technical lead or related role, including accountability for production availability.
Have managed vendors, MSPs, or contract workforces to measurable outcomes: SOWs, SLAs, operational reviews, and corrective action.
Carry hands-on technical depth in server, network, and rack-level infrastructure, enough to independently verify vendor claims and audit quality.
Have built or substantially improved operational processes, not just run them.
Have served in an incident command or lead-responder role and communicate clearly under ambiguity.
Can support non-standard hours, including an on-call rotation and availability during deployment surges and maintenance windows.
Bachelor's degree in relevant domain or equivalent practical experience.
Strong candidates may also have
Experience with third-party colocation providers or partner-operated sites, delivering IT operations outcomes inside a facility someone else runs.
Experience standing up operations at a new site or data hall, from commissioning handoff through first deployment.
Experience with GPU/accelerator or high-density liquid-cooled infrastructure.
Familiarity with multi-vendor sites where facilities and IT operations are performed by different partners.
Experience leading projects from initiation to completion across teams you didn't own.
Background in incident management frameworks, contract/SLA design, or EHS programs.

About Anthropic

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
The Detection & Response (D&R) team plays a critical role in protecting our systems, users, and data from security threats. We’re looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to own and evolve incident management within D&R. This is a senior-level specialization on the Technical Program Manager ladder, focused on how we detect, respond to, and learn from security and operational incidents.
You’ll be the driving force behind maturing and scaling our incident response lifecycle—from detection and triage through containment, remediation, and post-incident review. Critically, some of the highest-impact work in this role happens after the immediate response: gathering data on incident trends, reporting on patterns and root causes, and working cross-functionally across engineering, security, infrastructure, and product teams to ensure that broad fixes and systemic improvements are actually implemented.
You won’t just manage incidents—you’ll make sure we get meaningfully better after each one.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end D&R incident management program: detection workflows, response processes, escalation paths, communication standards, and remediation tracking.
Serve as incident commander for security incidents, driving clear coordination across executive, engineering, security, legal, and other appropriate stakeholders.
Establish and run incident commander rotations within D&R, ensuring clear ownership and effective coordination during incidents of varying severity.
Drive post-incident accountability by defining how action items are captured, assigned, tracked, and completed across teams—ensuring follow-through on both tactical fixes and strategic improvements.
Gather, analyze, and report on incident trends and patterns to surface systemic risks, recurring root causes, and areas where the organization is most vulnerable.
Translate trend analysis into actionable cross-functional initiatives: partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams to prioritize and implement broad fixes and preventive improvements that address root causes rather than symptoms.
Lead incident review forums (post-mortems, retrospectives) and ensure learnings are captured, socialized, and acted upon across the organization.
Develop and maintain D&R incident response documentation, playbooks, runbooks, and training materials; keep them current as the threat landscape and our systems evolve.
Partner with detection engineering to improve alert fidelity, reduce noise, and shorten time-to-detection for security events.
Define, develop, and track incident management KPIs and report regularly to D&R and Security leadership.
Support broad cross-functional training and initiatives to uplevel security awareness across the company (e.g. Tabletop exercises, training, talks).
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 7+ years of experience in technical program management, incident management, or security operations, with significant time spent in a detection & response or security incident response context.
Have led or built incident response programs at a technology company, ideally in a high-growth or security-intensive environment.
Have a demonstrated track record of turning incident data into organizational improvements—not just writing post-mortems, but driving the cross-functional work to implement systemic fixes.
Are comfortable participating in on-call responsibilities and leading incident response during high-severity security events, including off-hours.
Have experience building and scaling operational processes from the ground up in environments where structure didn’t previously exist.
Excel at driving accountability and follow-through across multiple teams without direct authority—you know how to influence, track, and close the loop.
Have strong analytical skills and experience with incident trend analysis, metrics reporting, and data-driven prioritization.
Are highly organized with a knack for bringing structure to ambiguous, fast-moving situations.
Have excellent communication skills, especially under pressure and when coordinating across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
Thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities shift and you’re often working with incomplete information.
Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be received on a rolling basis.

Anthropic is building and securing data center capacity at an unprecedented pace, and the power and cooling equipment that goes into those sites — switchgear, UPS, generators, transformers, busway, chillers, CDUs, air handlers, pumps and piping skids — is long-lead, high-value, and unforgiving of defects. A single nonconformance discovered at site can cost weeks of schedule.
We're hiring a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to own quality at the source: inside our OEMs' and integrators' factories. You will qualify suppliers, define acceptance criteria, witness factory acceptance tests, drive corrective action to closure, and make sure equipment leaves the factory complete, conforming, documented, and ready to install. You are the person who catches the problem in Ohio before it becomes a problem in Texas.
This is a hands-on individual-contributor role on the Compute DC Infrastructure team, partnering daily with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Construction, and Commissioning. It is not a supplier-relationship-management role and not a people-management role — the emphasis is technical quality engineering at manufacturing facilities.
What You'll Do
Supplier qualification and readiness
Lead quality qualification of new and existing suppliers of power and cooling equipment, including on-site process audits, capability assessments, and manufacturing readiness reviews (MRRs) ahead of production release.
Translate Anthropic engineering specifications into supplier-facing quality requirements: inspection and test plans (ITPs), acceptance criteria, witness/hold points, and documentation deliverables.
Partner with Strategic Sourcing to embed quality requirements, Supplier Quality Agreements, and FAT/documentation expectations into RFPs and contracts.
Factory acceptance and in-process quality
Plan, witness, and sign off factory acceptance tests (FATs) for electrical gear (switchgear, UPS, transformers, gensets, busway, PDUs) and mechanical systems (chillers, CDUs, CRAH/fan walls, dry coolers, pumps, piping skids), including functional, performance, and integrated-system testing.
Conduct in-process and pre-shipment inspections at supplier facilities; verify build-to-print conformance, workmanship, labeling, and traceability.
Review and approve supplier test reports, quality data packages, and turnover documentation; ensure equipment ships complete and installation-ready.
Nonconformance and corrective action
Own the nonconformance (NCR) and deviation process for factory-found issues; lead containment, disposition, and root-cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, and fault-tree methods.
Drive supplier corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to verified closure with measurable, sustained improvement.
Investigate field-reported defects that trace back to manufacturing, and feed lessons learned into supplier requirements, ITPs, and future RFPs.
Metrics and continuous improvement
Define and track supplier quality KPIs — first-pass FAT yield, defect rate, NCR aging, on-time documentation, supplier scorecards — and report them in quarterly supplier business reviews.
Apply SPC and statistical analysis to supplier process data to identify systemic risk before it reaches a FAT.
Help build the quality framework for a rapidly scaling, multi-supplier, multi-region equipment pipeline — templates, checklists, audit standards, and the operating rhythm around them.
Who You Are
6–10+ years of quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or supplier quality experience in electrical or mechanical equipment manufacturing, mission-critical infrastructure, or a comparable regulated/high-consequence industry.
Hands-on experience with at least one side of the data center equipment stack — medium/low-voltage switchgear, UPS, generators, transformers, busway, or chillers, CDUs, air handlers, pumps — and the curiosity to come up to speed fast on the other.
Proven record planning and witnessing FATs and conducting supplier audits, with the judgment to know when to hold a shipment and when to accept with deviation.
Deep fluency in structured problem-solving and quality tools: 8D, RCA, FMEA, SPC, control plans, PPAP or equivalent.
Able to read electrical one-lines, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings and check a build against them.
Strong technical writing — you produce ITPs, audit reports, and NCR packages that stand on their own.
Comfortable operating with high autonomy and ambiguity, and communicating clearly to engineers, suppliers, and leadership.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
Experience with hyperscale or AI data center equipment supply chains, or with OFCI (owner-furnished, contractor-installed) delivery models.

This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Anthropic's Tax team is hiring a Tax Director to own the company's global income tax provision and US income tax compliance function. This is a core operational leadership role: you will run the quarterly and annual ASC 740 close, manage the co-sourced compliance program, and build the processes, controls, and team that keep both scaling with the company.
What makes this seat unusual is what flows through it. Anthropic is deploying capital into compute and data center infrastructure at a scale and pace with few precedents, alongside an active program of acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments — and every one of those transactions lands in the provision and the returns. We prefer candidates who bring familiarity and hands-on experience with complex M&A and infrastructure transactions on top of the core provision and compliance skill set: someone who can own the tax purchase price allocation workpapers, write the technical memo on a novel financing or lease structure, and then carry that answer correctly through the ASC 740 close and into the compliance workstream.
Key responsibilities
Own the quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provision: current and deferred computations, effective tax rate reconciliation, deferred tax inventory and valuation allowance assessments, stock-based compensation, uncertain tax positions, and return-to-provision true-ups
Own the tax journal entries, account reconciliations, income tax footnote and disclosures, and the supporting workpapers and SOX controls; manage the financial statement audit relationship with our Big 4 auditors
Coordinate the international components of the provision with the team and outside advisors, and drive continuous improvement in close speed and quality
Manage the US federal and state income tax compliance program, working with our co-sourced Big 4 providers: returns, estimated payments and extensions, elections and disclosures, and the compliance calendar
Own cash tax forecasting and support tax authority notices, examinations, and audit defense
Drive automation and tax technology adoption across the provision and compliance processes, including AI tooling
Own tax purchase price allocation workpapers for acquisitions: taxable vs. nontaxable characterization, ASC 805 opening balance sheet deferred taxes, goodwill component analysis, and reconciliation to the tax basis balance sheet — plus tax diligence, structuring, and integration (reorganization qualification, equity compensation in deals, Section 382, transaction costs, stub period returns)
Analyze data center and compute infrastructure arrangements — lease classification, sale-leasebacks, Section 467 rent schedules, build-out cost recovery — and the financing structures around them: debt vs. equity characterization, prepayments, vendor financing, warrants and equity instruments in commercial agreements, and joint venture formations and buyouts
Prepare and review technical memos documenting positions for auditors and leadership, and model the cash tax and effective tax rate consequences of proposed structures for Corp Dev, Finance, and Legal while deals are being negotiated
Mentor and develop tax team members and help build the function as the company grows
Manage outside advisors on opinions, studies, and valuations, and own those budgets and relationships
Minimum qualifications
Have substantial experience managing a corporate tax function in the multinational software and technology industry, including hands-on experience running the income tax provision and compliance processes, with a combination of Big 4 public accounting and in-house tax department experience
Have owned the full ASC 740 provision cycle at a multinational company — not just reviewed pieces of it — including deferred taxes, valuation allowance judgments, uncertain tax positions, footnote and disclosures, SOX controls, and auditor management
Have managed a US federal and state income tax compliance program at scale, including co-sourced arrangements with Big 4 providers
Bring familiarity and hands-on experience with complex M&A transactions — tax purchase price allocations, ASC 805 opening balance sheet accounting, diligence and structuring — and ideally experience with infrastructure leases, build-outs, and the financing arrangements behind them
Write clear, well-organized technical memos that hold up with Big 4 auditors, and can explain the same issue in plain terms to non-tax partners
Hold a CPA; a Master's in Taxation or LLM is a plus
Thrive on novel fact patterns and ambiguity, and default to building the workpaper and writing the position down rather than waiting for a template
Preferred qualifications
Familiarity and experience with data center or similar capital-intensive infrastructure transactions — hyperscaler-scale compute, energy, or telecom deals, project finance, or joint venture structures
Experience analyzing warrants, convertible instruments, or other equity components embedded in commercial and supply agreements, and debt-equity analysis for intercompany and third-party financing
An interest in applying AI tools to tax workflows

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
The Auth & Identity team builds the authentication, authorization, and identity platform that underpins every Anthropic product: the API, Claude Code, Claude.ai, and our Enterprise offerings. Every login, API key, OAuth token, access decision, and organization record flows through the systems we own. As Claude moves from a chat product to an agentic platform, we are defining what identity and access look like when the actor is a human, a service account, or an autonomous agent acting on someone's behalf.
We are a platform team with a product surface. The horizontal is the set of services every product consumes: credential minting and exchange, authorization controls, and the canonical record of users, service accounts, agents, and the organizations they belong to. The vertical is the experience where admins author that policy: SSO and SCIM setup, roles and permissions, IP allowlisting, and API key policies.
Our work falls into four pillars:
Authentication
– Who you are. Credential minting, exchange, and lifecycle; sessions; workload identity federation; auth for async and agentic workloads.
Authorization
– What you can do. The policy framework for model, membership, role, and resource access.
Identity
– Who belongs to what. The tenant and organization model, and first-class identity for humans, service accounts, and agents, portable across surfaces and cloud environments.
Enterprise
– How enterprises connect. SSO, SCIM, login policies, and the admin controls that let customers provision and govern users from their own identity provider.
What you'll do
You will own critical, high-traffic systems end to end, from design through rollout, operations, and iteration, and help shape the technical strategy for how identity and access work across Anthropic. Representative problems we are working on right now:
Designing credentials for agents and long-running autonomous workloads.
Routing every access decision through a unified authorization system, with low latency, security guarantees, and multi-region resilience.
Building a first-class identity model for service accounts and agents, and linking those identities to other identity and auth systems.
Global distribution and multi-region failover for some of the company’s most mission-critical services.
Deepening enterprise integration: login policies and recovery methods, self-service allowlisting, and tighter integrations with providers.
You will work closely with product, security, infrastructure, and the product teams that consume our primitives, and you will be expected to set technical direction, not just execute on it. Many of the problems are 0-to-1 with no established pattern to copy; others are careful migrations of systems that every Anthropic customer depends on in the hot path.
You might be a good fit if you:
Have 8+ years of experience building and operating backend or platform systems at scale, ideally including identity, authentication, authorization, or security-adjacent infrastructure.
Have worked with some of: OAuth 2.0 and OIDC, SAML, SCIM, JWTs and token exchange, workload identity federation, policy engines such as Cedar or OPA, or RBAC and resource-level access control models.
Care deeply about reliability and security. You design for on-call, failure modes, revocation, and the engineer who inherits your system, and you treat availability of auth as table stakes for every product built on it.
Are comfortable owning large migrations in live, high-traffic systems: shadow modes, incremental rollouts, and clean retirement of legacy paths.
Take a product-focused approach to platform work and build primitives that are easy for other engineers to adopt correctly, with documentation and self-service as part of the deliverable.
Can navigate ambiguity and make sound technical decisions independently, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
Are familiar with using AI tools as part of your software development workflow.
Strong candidates may also have
Experience with globally distributed databases and multi-region service architecture.
Experience working in Go, Python, Rust, or TypeScript across a rapidly changing codebase.
Prior work on enterprise identity integrations with major identity providers and cloud IAM systems.
Deadline to apply:
None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Location Preference:
Preference will be given to candidates based in NY, SEA, SF or the Bay Area given the current location of team.

About the role
The Claude Platform serves developers and enterprises at scale. The Developer Experience (DevX) team owns the surfaces those developers touch every day: the Console, the docs platform, and our SDKs and CLI. Our job is to make the Platform easy to adopt and trustworthy enough to build critical applications on, to get new model and API capabilities into developers' hands fast and ergonomically, and to build for both humans and the coding agents that increasingly use our docs and SDKs on their behalf. The work splits into two workstreams, covered below, and we need your help across both.
What you'll do
DevX Core: You'll help drive technical direction for the Console and docs platform — the surfaces every developer on the Claude Platform uses — working with product and design from problem definition through launch. The Console is also the front door for tens of internal teams shipping their own features onto it, so you'll set the platform patterns and standards they build against.
SDKs: You'll own the SDKs across seven languages plus our CLI — the first thing most developers (and most coding agents) touch when they integrate Claude. You'll partner with API teams early so every new platform capability lands in the SDKs as an idiomatic, ergonomic feature on day one, and you'll drive the code generation, testing, and release pipeline that keeps seven languages consistent and shipping fast.
You might be a good fit if you:
Have a minimum of 8 years of practical full-stack engineering experience, ideally with 2+ years operating at a Staff or equivalent technical leadership level
Have led the design and delivery of complex, developer-facing products across the full stack
Are a technical expert in modern frontend and backend development, with demonstrated depth in key languages and frameworks (ie. React, Typescript)
Take a product-focused approach to building solutions that are robust, scalable, and easy to use
Have worked in early start-up or otherwise fast moving, rapidly evolving environments, and have ideally built products from 0 to 1
Care deeply in investing in the mentorship and growth of your peers
Have successfully driven cross-team/cross-org organizational alignment to get impactful work shipped, and work with influence over authority
Have experience establishing engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices
Thrive in fast-paced environments and can navigate ambiguity to deliver high-quality products

This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

About the Role:
As manager of the Healthcare and Life Sciences Solutions Architect team within Applied AI at Anthropic, you will drive the adoption of frontier AI in partnership with the rest of the go to market organization. We work with customers that include companies across payers, providers, life sciences, medtech, and other healthcare verticals. You will be responsible for leading and growing the pre-sales team that partners with account executives to help those companies understand and deploy Anthropic’s products, including Claude Code, Cowork, Claude Science, and the Claude Development Platform (our API). This will include leveraging your technical skills and consultative sales experience to hire great people, establish processes for the team to scale, and represent Anthropic directly at strategic customer engagements.
Responsibilities:
Hire, manage, and guide a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects by providing both technical guidance and career development.
Set goals for your team that establish baseline expectations for performance in collaboration with sales and other cross-functional teams.
Act as a technical sponsor for high-value strategic customers and advise them on their overall AI adoption strategies or top use case scoping and deployment.
Partner closely with sales leadership to identify new strategies to drive adoption of Anthropic products within specific verticals or horizontal use cases.
Work with cross-functional teams like product and engineering to ensure Anthropic prioritizes customer feedback or resolves blockers to adoption.
Travel to customer sites or conferences for executive-level sessions, technical workshops, and relationship building.
Establish a shared vision for creating solutions that enable beneficial and safe AI in technology products.
Contribute to thought leadership through conference presentations, webinars, and technical content creation.
Stay current with emerging AI trends and the evolving ecosystem.
You may be a good fit if you
:
7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or similar pre-sales technical role.
3+ years of technical pre-sales management experience.
Have sold complex technical products to Healthcare and Life Sciences companies.
Have deep technical proficiency with enterprise AI use cases and API integrations or enterprise solution rollouts.
Understand how to contribute to running a GTM organization anchored on a consumption business model, not SaaS sales cycles.
Thrive in building and rapidly scaling teams and processes within ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
Have excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching abilities.
Strong executive presence and ability to foster deep relationships with technical leaders and engineering teams.
Have at least a high level familiarity with the architecture and operation of LLMs.
Have a passion for making powerful technology safe and societally beneficial.
Stay up-to-date and informed by taking an active interest in emerging research and industry trends within AI.

:
Enterprise pre-sales leadership at scale
: 5+ years leading solution architect teams through hypergrowth (ideally 10 to 50+ people), with direct experience managing senior individual contributors and developing junior talent in complex enterprise software sales environments.
AI Technical Depth + Executive Engagement
: Hands-on experience with AI platforms and enterprise integration patterns, combined with proven track record engaging C-level stakeholders in $10M+ technical evaluations and enterprise sales cycles.
Deep HCLS GTM Experience
: Demonstrated success adapting technical approaches to customers in payers, providers, life sciences, medtech, or other healthcare verticals.

Corporate Security protects the environment Anthropic's people work in every day: their laptops and phones, their identities, the tools they collaborate in and the company data that flows through all of it. Everything that makes Claude what it is sits behind that environment. We keep company access on devices we manage, make those devices hard to compromise and right-size what any one of them can reach, while caring a great deal about the day-to-day experience of the people using them. The company is growing quickly and this team is growing with it, so we treat the work as an engineering discipline: controls as code and automation over queues, built to scale with headcount rather than strain against it.
As a Security Engineer here you'll drive significant parts of that work end to end. You'll set technical direction and turn it into shipped tooling. When a control collides with someone's workflow, you'll find the path that keeps them moving without giving up the protection. You'll be handed problems rather than task lists and you'll find as many yourself: threat-modeling the environment to surface what matters, fixing it and bringing the evidence that shapes what the team prioritizes next. This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role.
Key responsibilities
Drive endpoint hardening across macOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS, including device management configuration, application allowlisting, patching, and browser policy, favoring controls that are versioned, reviewable, and repeatable over one-off configuration
Extend device-trust and zero-trust access controls so company systems are reached from managed devices bound to the right person and carrying the right level of access, treating the experience of fellow employees as a design constraint rather than an afterthought
Build the automation and integrations that let the team scale with the company: joiner/mover/leaver automation across identity and device management, exception and expiry workflows, posture-driven policy, and Claude-assisted triage of review queues
Lead SaaS and identity governance, including third-party OAuth grants, delegated admin access, chat-platform apps, browser extensions, and software security reviews, turning recurring decisions into policy and tooling
Partner across the wider Security team, IT, and Engineering on telemetry, detections, and shared standards, and help define how a company that increasingly runs on AI agents does so securely and at scale
Minimum qualifications
Hands-on endpoint security engineering on macOS, Windows, Linux, or ChromeOS, such as MDM and declarative device management profile engineering, application allowlisting or binary authorization, system extensions and endpoint security frameworks, or their platform equivalents
Proficiency in Python and scripting languages generally; you architect and build integrations, automation, and internal tooling as a normal part of the job, and can write a detection when the work calls for it
Working depth in identity and access management, SaaS security, and zero-trust access
Threat-modeling judgment that finds the problems worth solving and the ability to scope them, define "done," and drive them to completion
Care for Anthropic's mission and the part corporate security plays in it
Preferred qualifications
Experience defining the scope and choosing the tooling for a security program rather than inheriting it
Experience shipping an enforcement change to a large user population: using data to find what will break before it does, staging the rollout, building the alternative path for affected workflows, and moving people onto it ahead of enforcement
Endpoint depth across more than one of macOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS, with the judgment to harden for the threats that matter rather than to a checklist
Mobile security across managed and BYOD contexts, including protecting people and devices in higher-risk settings such as international travel
Experience bringing security governance to a modern SaaS environment, including third-party integrations, delegated access, and the long tail of internally built and AI-generated apps, in a way that speeds decisions up rather than slowing them down
Configuration-as-code, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD applied to corporate infrastructure
LLM-assisted security tooling you built that materially changed what a team could cover, and the judgment to know which work to hand to a model, which to keep, and how to combine the two
A track record of getting security controls adopted across an organization through influence and partnership rather than authority
Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be received on a rolling basis.

ABOUT CANTINA:
Cantina Labs is a social AI company, developing a suite of advanced real-time models that push the boundaries of expression, personality, and realism. We bring characters to life, transforming how people tell stories, connect, and create. We build and power ecosystems. Cantina, our flagship social AI platform, is just the beginning.
If you're excited about the potential AI has to shape human creativity and social interactions, join us in building the future!
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're hiring a Lifecycle Product Manager to own how Cantina reaches users outside the app and brings them back to value inside it. Sitting on the product management team, you'll own the end-to-end user journey across email, push, and in-product messaging — and, critically, the deep-linked landing and post-click experiences that complete the loop. You'll develop a deep qualitative and quantitative understanding of how people move through Cantina, turn that into a lifecycle strategy that grows activation, retention, and resurrection, and partner with Data and Engineering to launch, measure, and compound improvements. This is a hands-on role with company-wide visibility: you'll write the strategy, ship the journeys, run the experiments, and bring senior stakeholders along.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own the lifecycle strategy and roadmap for Cantina's owned channels, mapping journeys across onboarding, activation, continuation, retention, resurrection, and monetization.
- Lead the design, launch, iteration, and optimization of templates and journeys across email, push, and in-product messaging — including the deep-linked landing and post-click product experiences that complete the loop.
- Optimize the lifecycle portfolio, not just individual sends: improve message inventory, relevance, personalization, prioritization, and per-user frequency so users get fewer, better-timed messages.
- Build a deep, evidence-based picture of the user journey — combining product analytics, cohort and funnel analysis with qualitative signals like session reviews, support themes, and user research — and use it to find where users stall and what would move them.
- Design and run experiments (A/B tests, holdouts, incrementality reads) and hold the bar on measurement: retained activity and incremental value, not opens and clicks.
- Partner with the Data team to build the measurement system behind lifecycle — instrumentation, eligibility and audience definitions, dashboards, and experiment readouts.
- Partner with Engineering to ship campaigns end to end: triggers, personalization payloads, deep links, and the in-product surfaces each journey lands on.
- Define the operating model — intake, templates, approvals, QA, and quality standards — so lifecycle scales across teams without channel chaos or user fatigue.
- Set and communicate strategy to senior stakeholders, translating a messy portfolio into a clear multi-quarter direction and defending tradeoffs with data.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 6+ years in product management, growth, lifecycle/CRM, or retention — ideally in a consumer mobile or AI product operating at scale.
- Demonstrated ownership of lifecycle or engagement programs that moved a real business metric (activation, D30 retention, resurrection, or conversion), with the analysis to prove it.
- Strong quantitative fluency: comfortable writing your own SQL and working in a BI/analytics tool (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hex, Looker, or similar) to build funnels, cohorts, and retention curves without waiting on a queue.
- Hands-on experience with a lifecycle/CRM platform (Braze, Iterable, Customer.io http://Customer.io, or similar) — segmentation, triggered canvases, personalization, and deliverability.
- Rigorous experimentation judgment: you understand holdouts, incrementality, sample sizing, and the difference between a delivery metric and a value metric.
- Technical and product fluency across event and identity models, APIs, deep linking, and push/email infrastructure — enough to design a system with Engineering. Coding not required.
- Excellent written communication and cross-functional influence, with a track record of aligning senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data, Design, and Marketing.
- Craft-level instinct for messaging: you can write the copy, critique the journey, and tell when a notification is helpful versus annoying.
- Preferred: experience with AI/consumer-social products, localization or multi-market lifecycle, and building lifecycle tooling or self-service platforms with Engineering.
Compensation:
The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is between $175,000 - $250,000. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered, including skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and generous company equity
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance – 99.99% of premiums covered by Cantina
- 42 days of paid time off, including:
- 15 PTO days
- 10 sick days
- 15 company holidays
- 2 floating holidays
- Generous parental leave & fertility support
- 401(k) retirement savings plan
- Lifestyle spending account – $500/month to use however you’d like
- Complimentary lunch and snacks for in-office employees
- One Medical membership, and more!
