Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform.
We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe.
Finom's platform goes beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, aiming to simplify financial management for entrepreneurs. We're actively expanding our reach across key EU markets like Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain.
At Finom, we’re not just redefining the entrepreneurial experience — we’re empowering our employees to make a real difference. Your work matters, and your impact extends far beyond product metrics. We nurture innovation and an inspiring work environment where bold ideas thrive, prioritizing thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and our business as a whole.
Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business.
About the Role
We are building a brand-new team within our Existing Business function, and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Sales Manager to take full ownership and lead it.
In this role, you will lead a team of Junior Account Managers who each oversee a portfolio of up to 1,000 mid-tier clients. We operate a high-volume, reactive model with a proactive mindset: our smart tools and data triggers surface key insights to prioritize who to contact and why. Your team’s focus is to execute daily outreach, dig out revenue gaps, and proactively drive account expansion and upsells.
Your team will be made up of Junior Account Managers with around 2 years of experience (often coming from fast-paced SDR/BDR or outbound roles where they learned to chase volume and hunt revenue). You are not teaching them from zero, but you will be sharpening people who already know how to work a phone and a pipeline, helping them mature into high-performing account managers.
This is an end-to-end leadership position with complete ownership over outcomes, hiring, tools, and processes. While you own your team's results, you will never be left to figure things out alone: leadership here is hands-on, supportive, and grounded in trust.
What you will be doing
Driving Revenue & Performance Outcomes
Take full accountability for quarterly team KPIs centered on net revenue retention, expansion upsells, and churn reduction.
Establish a high-output rhythm across high-call-volume workflows, ensuring the team effectively leverages data-driven triggers to capture account expansion opportunities.
People Leadership & Team Building
Lead future hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of Junior Account Managers.
Foster a people-first culture by providing tailored coaching, call reviews, dynamic mentoring, and ongoing skill development to elevate early-career reps.
Set transparent performance standards and inspire a growth-oriented, revenue-hunting mindset across the team.
Process, Tools & Continuous Innovation
Own and continuously optimize your team's operational flows, Salesforce execution, and CRM hygiene.
Champion the adoption of cutting-edge AI tools and conversation intelligence to elevate rep efficiency and performance.
Identify operational bottlenecks and trial fresh, creative angles or playbooks to elevate how the team engages clients and fixes inefficiencies.
What you bring
Proven Leadership Track Record: At least 2+ years of experience as the sole direct manager of a team of 6+ direct reports (not co-managing or acting as an intermediate step).
High-Volume & Rhythm Expertise: Background managing AMs or SDRs/BDRs operating at a high call volume across large customer portfolios or lead lists.
People-First Mindset: A strong commitment to investing in your team through active coaching, direct feedback, and structured career development.
Relentless Diligence & Accountability: A proactive problem-solver who follows through, iterates through trial and error, and takes true pride in team outcomes.
Commercial Rigor & Creativity: A strategic thinker who looks beyond standard playbooks to find innovative sales hooks while maintaining a sharp focus on bottom-line revenue impact.
Language Skills: Native level German or Italian, along with professional fluency in English.
Nice to have
Individual Contributor Experience: Prior personal experience as an IC in an SDR, BDR, or outbound Account Management role before stepping into management.
CRM & Tech Stack Mastery: Hands-on experience with Salesforce admin/workflow setup, AI enablement tools, or call intelligence software (e.g., Modjo, Gong).
B2B SaaS / Fintech Background: Previous exposure to fast-growing B2B SaaS or Fintech environments.

Company Description
We’re http://checkout.comCheckout.com http://Checkout.com. You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day.
We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers.
Whether you want to book a holiday, order food, renew a subscription, or check out online, there’s a good chance our tech powers the payments behind the scenes. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale.
If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.
With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
We’re looking for a high-ownership self-starter who can originate, structure, and close strategic partnerships that drive measurable revenue impact. Our ideal candidate is an operator with strong drive and bias for action - they move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and are recognized for the impact they deliver. At Checkout.com, ambition and the quality work done gets met with opportunity, and growth is in your hands.
We view partnerships as a core growth engine for Checkout.com - not a support function.
This role exists to turn partnerships into a repeatable, scalable revenue channel through disciplined execution, strong commercial instinct, and relentless ownership.
What you’ll be accountable for
1. Deal Origination & Ownership
- Source and develop high-impact partnerships (including but not limited to advisories/consultants, ISVs/fintechs, SIs and agencies) to go deep with.
- Lead end-to-end partnership cycle: from first conversation → commercial structuring → negotiation → signature → go-live
- Own pipeline generation and progression, through collaboration with Sales Managers for different product pillars.
- Drive clear commercial outcomes: sourced / influenced revenue, pipeline contribution, conversion, partner growth and profitability.
2. Commercial Structuring & Negotiation
- Design scalable partnership models with provided guidance (referral, reseller, embedded)
- Navigate partner negotiations across commercial, legal, and operational dimensions
- Balance short-term revenue vs long-term strategic positioning within your portfolio, be able to forecast and plan ahead
- Operate with precision - all numbers, assumptions, and deal logic must be bulletproof
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the single-threaded owner across Sales, Legal, Product, Partner Engineering, and Marketing.
- Drive momentum and remove blockers - you own the outcome of the partnerships in your portfolio.
- Ensure internal alignment and readiness for launch (onboarding, integration, enablement, GTM)
4. Partner Performance & Revenue Delivery
- You’ll get recognized on partnerships converting into live merchants and revenue, not pipeline logos
- Track and manage performance against targets (Net Revenue, Total Processed Volume, Product Penetration, Conversion Rate, etc.)
- Identify and execute on growth levers, solo or in collaboration with the team (e.g. joint GTM, integration optimisation)
5. Operational Excellence
- Maintain high standards of forecasting accuracy, CRM hygiene, and reporting
- Contribute to building repeatable frameworks (tiering, integration health, GTM motions)
- Raise the bar on quality of output across the team - every deliverable has meaning.
What “good” looks like in this role
- You own your number - and consistently deliver against it
- You operate with speed and clarity, even in ambiguity
- You don’t wait for direction - you create momentum
- You can go from strategy → execution → revenue, without dropping the thread
- You build credible relationships externally and internally, and know how to leverage both to close deals
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic sales in payments / fintech / SaaS / platforms
- Track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals is a plus
- Experience structuring commercial models (rev share, reseller, embedded partnerships)
SKILLSET
- Strong commercial acumen - understands what drives revenue and margin
- Solid negotiation skills - can hold ground while progressing deals
- Ability to operate in cross-functional, high-ambiguity environments
- High attention to detail - no room for approximation
MINDSET
- Owner mentality - accountability without excuses
- Performance-driven - focused on outcomes, not activity
- Low ego, high standards - direct, constructive, and solution-oriented
- Comfortable being challenged - and challenging back when needed
