WHO ARE WE?
Cohere is the leading security-first enterprise AI company. We build cutting-edge foundation AI models and end-to-end products that are designed to solve real-world business problems.
We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
Why this role?
This role will focus on breaking down engineering tasks such as reporting, component search and handling of material billing/information into individual steps that can be tackled through tool use. Your breakdown will teach the Cohere model the logic needed to complete each task.
Please Note: This is a part-time independent contractor position available within Canada. We seek candidates who are able to commit to 16 hours per week minimum at a 30 CAD/hour contract rate. This role is BYOD 💻 - Bring Your Own Device (laptop). Remote work within Canada. 12 month contract.
As a Data Annotation Specialist, you will:
- Evaluate the model's ability to respond to engineering procedures and workflows
- Task models to complete engineering tasks along with verified information to evaluate the accuracy of the model's responses
- Label, proofread, and improve machine-written and human-written engineering-related outputs.
- Follow our style guide, and make recommendations on unique situations that fall outside of its scope.
You may be a good fit if you have:
- 3+ years of industry experience working in engineering fields (civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical)

- Experience on medium-large scale engineering projects involving designing, prototyping and manufacturing components and/or experience in post-graduate research lab
- Experience with CAD software, material billing and product lifecycle management (PCMs) can be a plus
The Candidate Journey:
- Initial Screening: Our Talent Team will review your application.
- First Assessment: If selected to move forward, you’ll receive a multiple-choice assessment by email.
- Second Assessment: Candidates who achieve a passing score will be contacted by a member of our team to complete a more comprehensive assessment focused on their area of expertise.
- Video Screen: If selected to move forward, you’ll have a short video call with a member of our Operations Team.
- Final: Selected candidates will receive an Independent Contractor Agreement.
As an independent contractor, you maintain control over how you complete your work and may work with multiple clients simultaneously, although we ask you to declare if any of these are with a direct competitor of Cohere and maintain IP confidentiality of the Cohere project. Independent contractors are not eligible for health benefits or other benefits provided to employees. Compensation for services is provided to contractors by contractors invoicing for services provided pursuant to the terms of our agreement with the contractor.
It is important to understand that as an independent contractor, continuous work is not guaranteed. The client-contractor relationship is fundamentally project-based, meaning engagements may be temporary, periodic, or intermittent based on our organizational needs and project availability. As an independent contractor, you should anticipate fluctuations in workflow and therefore compensation for services when Cohere does not require as many hours of services in a week.
Prospective candidates, please be advised: this role involves working with human generated and model generated tasks that may involve exposure to not safe for work (NSFW) text content as part of data annotation tasks, including explicit, offensive, or other inappropriate material.
If some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply!
We value and celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive work environment for all. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities. About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Infrastructure organization is foundational to our mission of developing AI systems that are reliable, interpretable, and steerable. The systems we build determine how quickly we can train new models, how reliably we can run safety experiments, and how effectively we can scale Claude to millions of users — demonstrating that safe, reliable infrastructure and frontier capabilities can go hand in hand.
Node Infra owns the full lifecycle of accelerator capacity at Anthropic. We ingest and provision compute from all major cloud providers and from datacenters custom-built for Anthropic, stand up and scale the clusters behind one of the industry's largest AI compute fleets, and build the health, diagnostics and repair automation that keep every GPU, TPU and Trainium node in the fleet usable and ready to power Anthropic's frontier AI research.
Key responsibilities
Own the technical strategy and roadmap for node lifecycle management - ingestion, bring-up, health checking, and automated repair
Drive cross-team initiatives to build and scale AI clusters across multiple clouds and accelerator families
Design and operate the systems that detect, isolate, and remediate unhealthy hardware automatically, driving up fleet MTBI and minimizing stranded capacity
Define infrastructure architecture, ensuring the hardest problems get solved - whether by you directly or by working through others
Work closely with cloud providers and internal research/inference/product teams to shape long-term compute, data, and infrastructure strategy
Establish and evolve operational excellence practices (incident response, postmortem culture, on-call)
Support the growth of engineers around you through technical mentorship and coaching
Minimum qualifications
Deep expertise in distributed systems, reliability, and cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, IaC, AWS/GCP/Azure)
Strong proficiency in at least one systems language (e.g., Rust, Go, or Python), IaC proficiency with Terraform.
Hands-on experience with machine learning accelerators (GPUs, TPUs, or Trainium)
Track record of leading complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives that span multiple teams or systems
Ability to build alignment across senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels
Preferred qualifications
10+ years of software engineering experience, including time as a technical lead setting direction for a team
Experience managing large scale compute infrastructure at hyperscale (10K+ nodes), including capacity management and efficiency
Depth in one or more of: Kubernetes internals (scheduler, autoscaler, kubelet, Karpenter), cluster orchestration systems (Mesos, Borg-like), or node provisioning pipelines
Low-level systems experience: kernel, virtualization, device drivers, firmware, or hardware health/diagnostics daemons
Familiarity with high-performance networking (EFA, RDMA, InfiniBand) for distributed ML workloads.
Demonstrated ownership of production reliability for high-throughput, latency-sensitive systems
Contributions to relevant open-source projects (Kubernetes, Linux kernel, container runtimes, etc.)
Skill in quickly understanding systems design tradeoffs and keeping track of rapidly evolving software systems
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$320,000
—
$485,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit
anthropic.com/careers
directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Here, designers lead from the start, shaping products that millions of people interact with daily. If you want to work on cutting-edge AI experiences that push the boundaries of product design, there’s no better place to be.
Why this role exists
In a world where it’s easier and easier to get software off the ground and to 75% built, it’s the last 25% that really matters. We need deep craft specialists—people who will raise the quality bar, bring a spark of creativity, drive best-in-class interaction and visual design, and push execution excellence across our most strategic product areas.
This is not a strategy-only or people-management role. We need a maker, a doer, a leader in craft.
If you have a deep passion for interaction design, product thinking, and pixel-perfect execution—and the leadership and autonomy to drive impact without waiting for direction—this is the role for you.
Must Have Experience
We’re looking for a world-class IC designer who:

Understands engineering and can build prototypes to communicate ideas (Framer, Loveable, Windsurf, Vercel, Figma, code etc...).

Can tell a compelling story—articulating your decisions with clarity and conviction.
Operates with agency, ownership, and autonomy—doesn’t wait to be told what to do.

Scorewarrior is a game developer and publisher based in Limassol, Cyprus. The company focuses on the 4X strategy genre, with an ambitious goal to grow its hit game, Total Battle, to become the No.1 strategy game in the world. Our team consists of 200+ passionate, talented, self-driven, and continually developing professionals who love making high-quality games.
Our product: We are currently working on Total Battle — an MMO 4X strategy game with a deep political system and lots of player interaction. Players take on the role of a commander and need to develop their city, forge alliances, fight against monsters, and conquer other players. We're constantly developing new game mechanics, and the project is continuing to grow.
Our game project has a code base of ~300k SLOC and consists of multiple services running in several hundred instances. The game services are a sharded system for horizontal scaling.
Our team is looking for both Middle and Senior specialists with confident knowledge of C++ and design principles to work on creating new game features for a large-scale multiplayer project with long-term gameplay.
Our team's objective and the challenge they face is to create an outstanding technical design that ensures quality, flexibility, and simplicity in the development of in-game features.
Tasks:
- Design and implement solutions for new game mechanics — based on documentation from game designers, create a technical design and implement it.
- Prepare RFC documents describing your approach and discuss them with the team before implementation.
- Deliver your solution to production and ensure it runs smoothly by monitoring its behavior after deployment.
- Refactor and optimize existing functionality to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Perform code reviews for other team members and follow team coding guidelines and best practices.
- Create functional prototypes to validate ideas and mechanics when necessary.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for implemented features and decisions.
- Participate in team meetings and discussions to stay aligned on priorities and progress.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and initiative.
- 3+ years of experience developing in C++ in a product-oriented company
- At least 2 years of backend development experience (not necessarily in C++)
- Solid knowledge of software design principles and ability to apply them in practice.
- Ability to analyze and decompose complex tasks into smaller, manageable steps.
- Practical experience with network and multithreaded programming
- Practical experience with relational databases
- Proficiency in Linux environments for development and debugging.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Python for developing tools and automation.
The following would also be to your advantage:
- Having samples of code that you can show us.
- Knowledge of other high-level programming languages (for general awareness).
- Practical experience applying Domain-Driven Design in real-world projects
- Hands-on experience building applications using Akka.NET http://Akka.NET, Microsoft Orleans, or similar actor-based frameworks
We use:
- C++20, Clang, and CMake.
- Boost — only for the library, not for game code.
- PostgreSQL.
- GitLab, TeamCity, Ansible.
- SonarQube, Clang-Tidy, Clang-Format.
- Onboarding, coding conventions.
- Python for utilities.
- Linux.
Our technical developments:
- A library/framework of ready-made solutions for creating game features.
- ORM — allows us not to have to write code for saving to the DB.
- A code generator for a binary RPC protocol and ORM.
- A pub/sub event system for game clients.
- Telemetry that allows for real-time product status tracking (through Grafana).
- An expression interpreter for flexibility in game configuration.
- HotReload environment, with everyday game updates.
- Sync and Async network designs.
- Internal Event System.
- Internal persistent and transactional message system.
- R-tree based world map.
What we offer and our benefits:
- A team of professionals with a passion for gamedev and a drive to make Total Battle the #1 strategy MMO game.
- An excellent remuneration package, including a 13th salary.
- Full relocation coverage for you and your family to Cyprus (Limassol).
- A modern, sunny office close to the sea.
- Private health insurance for you and your family members.
- A monthly pre-school, school, and university allowance for employees' children.
- Lunch compensation.
- A sports and fitness allowance.
- Company-funded personal development opportunities (professional and language courses, books, etc.).
- Bonuses for outstanding results, years of service, marriage, and childbirth.
- Friendly monthly office parties and epic annual offsite company birthday and Christmas celebrations.

- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with our broader GTM team, as well as our product, technical and operations orgs to deliver our industry-leading product.

We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.

We’re looking for
a world-class IC designer
who:
Has
shipped
complex, high-quality
software products.
Designs
for multiple surfaces
—desktop, mobile, chat interfaces, AI first and emerging experiences.
Balances
speed and detail
—knows when to
move fast
and when to
obsess over the last 1%
.
Thinks
end-to-end
—from big-picture
systems thinking
to the smallest interaction detail.
Understands engineering
and can build prototypes to communicate ideas (Framer, Loveable, Windsurf, Vercel, Figma, code etc…).
Has taste.
You know what great design looks and feels like, and you push to get there.
Can
tell a compelling story
—articulating your decisions with clarity and conviction.
Operates with
agency, ownership, and autonomy
—doesn’t wait to be told what to do.
Who This Role Is Not For
This role is
not
for you if:
You prefer
strategy, research or system design
over execution—this is a
craft-heavy role
.
You need
a lot of direction or structured processes
—you should thrive in open-endedness and ambiguity.
You
don’t obsess over details
—we’re looking for someone who sweats the pixels.
You primarily work on
marketing sites
—this role is about designing deep,
functional
software experiences.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing:
Owning
end-to-end design for
high-impact product areas
from concept to execution.
Defining
new interaction patterns and design paradigms
for Fin, our automation, and AI-powered tools.
Sketching, prototyping, and testing
ideas at different fidelities to validate decisions.
Working closely with
engineers and PMs
to define problems, move quickly, and deliver high-quality solutions.
Maintaining
high standards of craft
while balancing speed and execution.
Contributing to
design culture
—mentoring others, pushing for greatness in a team, refining processes, and sharing knowledge inside and outside Fin.
What Success Looks Like
You’ll know you’re successful if:
You’ve raised the design bar.
Your work is referenced as an example of
exceptional craft and taste.
You’ve shipped product with major business impact.
The areas you own are
visibly better because of you.
You operate autonomously.
You don’t need direction—you
see what needs to be done and do it.
Engineers love working with you.
Your designs are
considered, clear, and easy to implement.
Your peers trust your judgment.
When you push for quality, people listen.
Interview Process
We understand that interviewing for a new role is both time and energy consuming–we aim to be thorough, speedy and transparent in our approach. You should expect for the entire process to be no more than 4 weeks from start to finish. You’ll meet with various members of our team and have the opportunity to fully validate that Fin and the role is the right fit for you.
Ready to build something great?
If you're driven to push the boundaries of product design and have the craft, autonomy, and taste to make a real impact, we want to hear from you.

Anthropic's production models undergo sophisticated post-training processes to enhance their capabilities, alignment, and safety. Decisions in production training depend on knowing how the model is really behaving. Our team's mission is to have the best observability into production post-training runs at Anthropic: to be the clearest, most trusted view of model quality during training. We shape what gets measured, keep the signal trustworthy and timely, and get to the bottom of surprising results to inform post-training and release decisions.
In this role you will lead the science of how we evaluate production training runs. You'll work out which measurements tell us something real about the model, notice when they stop doing so, and find what we should be measuring but aren't. You'll partner with research teams across every RL domain, bringing their priorities into what we measure and setting the standard for what makes an eval trustworthy across post-training. You'll also be hands-on with the eval fleet day to day, because the best questions about measurement come from watching real results come in during a live run.
Responsibilities
Steer the eval strategy for production Claude models: study and optimize the eval mix so it gives the most accurate and complete assessment of model quality
Run and monitor the eval fleet live to understand how each Claude model is developing as it trains
Advise teams across post-training on eval methodology, and help eval authors bring new evals up to the bar for production
Investigate regressions in production runs and inform training interventions when appropriate
Build the dashboards, alerts, and reports that researchers and leadership use to track model quality
You may be a good fit if you
Have designed, run, and analyzed evaluations for ML models at scale
Care deeply about measurement quality, thinking twice before trusting a number
Can turn ambiguous results into clear recommendations, and are comfortable influencing direction across teams
Have strong Python skills and are comfortable working with production systems
Maintain clarity and rigor when debugging complex, time-sensitive issues
Thrive in controlled chaos and are energized, rather than overwhelmed, when juggling multiple urgent priorities during a live training run
Care about the societal impacts of your work and about shipping frontier models responsibly
Strong candidates may also have
Hands-on experience post-training large language models
Research experience in ML evaluation or benchmarking
Background in statistics and experimental design
Experience developing robust evaluation metrics for ML systems
