About Teleport
Don't wait for the future of infrastructure. Be part of it.
Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company. We're solving one of the hardest problems in security: giving every human, machine, workload, and AI agent a cryptographically secured identity, improving engineering velocity while maintaining security. We make trusted computing simple. This gives you the freedom, power, and autonomy to build and innovate with confidence.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we work with companies like Nasdaq, DoorDash, and Elastic to secure infrastructure for an AI world.
About the Role:
As a Mid-Market Account Executive at Teleport, you will own the full sales cycle for mid-sized organizations looking to secure their infrastructure in an AI-driven world. Teleport unifies identity across humans, machines, workloads, and AI agents — replacing fragmented, credential-based access with a hardware-rooted, cryptographic identity layer that scales zero trust across cloud and on-prem environments. You'll work closely with Sales Engineering, Account Development and Marketing to identify, qualify, and close new business, building a repeatable, high-velocity motion across a defined territory or vertical. This role is ideal for a driven, autonomous seller who thrives on prospecting and closing deals in a fast-paced, high-growth environment — while helping customers eliminate credential sprawl, reduce identity-based attack surface, and prepare their infrastructure for the demands of agentic AI.
What You'll Do:
- Communicate effectively with Engineering, InfoSec teams, and business stakeholders.
- Develop a territory plan and relentlessly execute against it in order to exceed your quota.
- Understand the nuances of selling open source technology.
- Help us foster our open source community and grow our commercial offering.
- Identify and excite champions at your key accounts so they become your executive sponsors.
- Navigate complex deals involving several stakeholders across engineering and InfoSec without coming across as "Salesy."
- Mentor our Sales Development Reps. You will collaborate with them in order to break into your target accounts.
- Strong listening and storytelling skills.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of quota attainment at a software startup in the infrastructure, security, open source space
- 1+ year experience working at a growing start up selling to scaling AI, fintech or e-commerce companies
- Experience in articulating the value of a product, aligning with the specific needs and compliance requirements amongst complex organizations
- Humility, curiosity, resilience, and a sense of humor.
- You're not afraid of prospecting.
- Based SF Bay Area
How We Hire — Instructions
Our process is designed to be straightforward and respectful of your time. We skip performative rounds and focus on what matters: understanding how you think and what you can do.
You'll start with a 30-minute recruiter screen, followed by a 30-minute interview with the hiring manager and four team member, a presentation including clear instructions.
Why Teleport
You're joining a company where the problem is real, the team is small, and your work shows up directly in the product. We're not a big company, you won't get lost in a crowd. You'll have the freedom and autonomy to do what you're great at, alongside teammates who care about doing it right and want to see you succeed. The work is collaborative, there's real room to grow, and the mission is one worth showing up for.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we're genuinely passionate about what we're building.
The Benefits
At Teleport, we believe your career is more important than a list of perks. That's why we focus on making your day-to-day the best it can be — giving you the autonomy, access, and support to do the best work of your career.
- Extensive health coverage
- Annual expense budget
- Rest and recovery policies that maximize your ability to recharge
- Investment in your future with retirement savings plans
- Professional development opportunities

What the Role Is
We’re hiring a
Staff Software Engineer
who’ll be the technical lead for a new Search team at Babylist. This new team will be focused on moving Babylist’s search capability in-house, making our search results more relevant and personalized, and partnering with other teams to transform search in the product from functional to delightful.
Registry building is the heart of the Babylist product. Every parent builds a list of dozens of products, from swaddle to stroller, with real stakes (a friend or family member is going to buy these things, and a baby is going to use them). As a universal registry, this registry also typically spans many retailers. This makes registry building on Babylist one of the most interesting search and personalization problems in consumer e-commerce.
This is zero-to-one work, with big ambitions. You’d build a search capability from the ground up, with a clear mandate from leadership to do it. In your first year, we expect to have rebuilt search to be highly relevant and personalized, and delivered big bets like universal search: one experience across items we sell and items from other retailers, and across products, guides and registries. We also want to work with Addie, our AI registry assistant, to have LLMs play a role in the search experience.
If you want to tune an established search system, this isn’t the right role. If you’ve worked inside a strong search team and want to build a new system from scratch at a company earlier in that journey, read on.
What You'll Own
A Staff Engineer at Babylist sets direction. You’ll be the technical lead for search: you decide where it goes over the next year or two, sequence the bets that get there, and make the technical and product calls along the way. You’re still in the code and will drive initiatives forward across multiple teams. You’ll have software engineering and machine learning engineering support on the team.
A few examples of initiatives you’d drive on the Search team:
Build search in-house.
Choose the architecture for indexing, retrieval and serving, and plan a seamless migration. The system you design replaces what we use today and is the foundation for everything below.
Define what a good result is.
Decide how we measure result quality, then improve it through query understanding, ranking and the behavioral signals we collect.
Unify search across everything we show.
One experience across items we sell and items from other retailers, and across products, guides and registries, including how to rank items we don’t sell next to ones we do.
Decide how search and recommendations fit together.
Bring what we know about a user and their registry into results, and decide how much retrieval and ranking search shares with our recommendation models.
Make search conversational.
Work with the Addie team, our AI registry assistant, on queries like “best stroller for urban family,” where the shopper describes a need instead of naming a product.
Like every Staff Engineer here, you will:
Take a fuzzy business problem from the first sketch through to production, and stay on the hook for whether it actually helped customers.
Build the platform or tooling other teams adopt by choice, and own it as it scales.
Set the standard for how search builds with AI. Decide what good looks like, build the patterns and evals that get agents there and catch the output that's confidently wrong before it ships.
Partner with product, design and data as a peer, shaping what's worth building from the start.
Coach Senior engineers through the hard calls, the ambiguous ones as much as the technical ones
Who You Are
You meet the Staff bar at Babylist. You’ve shipped production systems for enough years to have earned strong opinions, and you hold them loosely. You can pick up an ambiguous problem and start moving before anyone hands you the full picture. You’ve already changed how a team builds with AI, and the new way stuck.
On top of that, you’ve worked on search problems before, ideally in an e-commerce setting. This role needs depth in the systems behind search and a clear focus on the people using it. You bring:
Hands-on search experience:
building and running search in production, including indexing, retrieval, ranking and query understanding. You know how to keep a search service fast, relevant and reliable as traffic and catalog size grow.
Experience evaluating search quality:
offline and online, including relevance judgments and A/B tests.
A focus on the user:
you use query data, behavior and judgment about result quality to decide what to build, and you can connect a search change to what shoppers do, and to conversion or revenue.
Comfort building from zero:
you can define the problem, design the system and own it end to end.
You measure yourself by impact:
a customer outcome, or a system a dozen teams come to depend on.
Compensation
We post real numbers. For a Canada-based Staff Engineer, the starting base salary range is $299,300 to $372,600 CAD, plus a target annual bonus of 20 percent of base. That's total target cash of roughly $359,160 to $447,120 CAD. On top of that you get meaningful equity and an RRSP match. Where you start in that range depends on your experience, and your pay grows from there with performance and scope.
How We Build
AI is the default here. Engineers run agentic sessions for most of the work, and a lot of the interesting engineering now lives in the scaffolding that makes the agents good: the eval harnesses, the curated context, custom review skills and fast CI. Agents also triage incidents and handle a big share of support. A human always owns the outcome.
The architecture is intentionally simple: one Rails monolith, MySQL and few moving parts. That's deliberate. Simple infrastructure lets us move fast and lets AI reason about the whole system, so the hardest problems are the ones in front of customers.
The Stack
Core app:
Rails, Packwerk, React, TypeScript, Sidekiq
Mobile:
iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin)
Data, search & events:
MySQL, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Weaviate, WarpStream, Hex, Sigma
Machine learning:
deep learning, matrix factorization, retrieval & ranking, AWS SageMaker, MLflow
AI & dev tooling:
Claude Code, Devin, Linear, CodeRabbit, Warden, LangChain, Bedrock AgentCore, Maxim
Infra & ops:
AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Datadog, incident.io, LaunchDarkly
Key integrations:
Shopify (payments), Iterable (CRM)
Why Babylist
An engineer, expecting her first baby, couldn't find the registry she wanted. So she built it. That's how Babylist started, and it's still how we work: engineers solving problems for families. Becoming a parent is one of the biggest moments in a person's life. Millions reach it for the first time every year, making thousands of decisions and figuring it out as they go. That's who we build for, and we're a long way from done.
Ten million people give gifts through Babylist every year. We did more than $750M in revenue in 2025, up 45 percent over the year before, and we've been profitable for eight years while staying independent. So you can take on a hard, multi-year problem without watching over your shoulder for the next round or the next correction. And the team is small, around 65 engineers, so what you ship stays visible and your scope stays wide.
How We Work
Remote-first across the US and Canada, and we have been for years. That's not changing. We trust you to own your time and your outcomes, and we get everyone in a room together twice a year. Teams are small, pods of three to five engineers, so nothing you ship disappears into a committee. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with product, design and data, and with the partners across the business who rely on what you ship. You'll also stay close to customers yourself: sitting in on user interviews, watching session recordings, riding along with support. Here that's part of the engineering job, on a regular basis.
How We Hire
Three rounds, usually two to three weeks start to finish.
Recruiter conversation (30 minutes).
Trade context: what you want next, what we're building and straight answers on comp, team and remote.
Technical screen (1 hour).
One round, no AI, language-agnostic. Reach for Google when you normally would. We just want to see how you reason from first principles.
Final round (4 hours).
Four one-hour interviews: system design, AI-assisted coding with the tools you'd actually use here, product sense and culture and values. You'll hear back either way within 24 to 48 hours.
Benefits
Company-paid medical and fully covered dental and vision
A 401(k) match
Generous paid parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents, plus a gradual return-to-work program
Winter Wonder Week, a paid company-wide week off at the end of the year
A remote-work stipend
Mental-health and wellness support
A Few Things to Know
We record and transcribe interviews to evaluate candidates, in line with applicable privacy laws.
We expect you to use AI in your work and we welcome it in the process, but what you submit and say should reflect your own thinking.
If you have a family member or close relationship with a Babylist employee, let your recruiter know.
Official outreach only ever comes from an @babylist.com address

When you’re part of our #OneTenable team, you can expect to partner with some of the most talented and passionate people in the industry, and have the support and resources you need to do work that truly matters. We deliver results that exceed expectations and we win together!
Your Role:
As the
Enterprise Territory Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg
, you will be the senior face of Tenable in one of Europe's most digitally connected, strategically important and heavily targeted markets. In 2026, "scanning for vulnerabilities" is a baseline commodity; your mission is to help the region’s largest enterprises master
Continuous Exposure Management (CEM)
.
You will drive complex, high-value growth by helping the Belgium and Luxembourg multi-nationals, large enterprises, and critical infrastructure entities unify their risk data across IT, Cloud, Identity, and Operational Technology (OT) using the
Tenable One
platform. Candidates must speak
Flemish, French and English.
This isn't just about managing a quota; it’s about navigating complex buying committees and becoming a trusted strategic advisor in a region that deeply values directness, pragmatism, long-term partnership, and technological excellence.
Key Responsibilities
:
Strategic Enterprise Ownership:
Develop and execute a sophisticated, high-touch growth strategy targeting the largest private and public sector organizations across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
The Power of Presence:
While we embrace modern hybrid working models, we believe enterprise trust is built in person. You will travel regularly across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg to facilitate deep-dive strategic workshops, build executive rapport, and lead face-to-face engagements that video calls simply cannot replicate.
Sell the "Platform" Vision:
Lead consultative, value-driven engagements around the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform, articulating how AI-driven insights, preventative security, and attack path analysis materially reduce business risk for the C-suite.
Master the IT/OT Convergence:
Capitalize on the Benelux region's robust ports and logistics, chemicals and petrochemicals, high-tech manufacturing, life sciences, and energy sectors, bridging the security gap between corporate IT and industrial OT environments.
AI-Enhanced Enterprise Engagement:
Utilize Tenable’s 2026 suite of advanced AI data and intent tools to map complex enterprise accounts, letting you spend less time on administrative overhead and more time on high-value human interaction.
Ecosystem & Elite Partner Collaboration:
Work hand-in-hand with global system integrators (GSIs) and tier-one Benelux MSSPs/partners to deliver "Day 1" value and seamless deployment for complex enterprise environments.
Predictable Executive Forecasting:
Orchestrate regional support resources (including dedicated Enterprise Sales Engineers and Inside Sales) while maintaining pristine pipeline hygiene and accurate, data-backed forecasting.
What We’re Looking For (The 2026 Enterprise Profile)
Passion & Drive to Achieve:
You are a self-motivated, elite sales professional who is genuinely passionate about the cybersecurity mission. You view enterprise sales as a byproduct of solving massive, complex infrastructure risk problems.
The "People Person" & Traveler:
You thrive on human connection and corporate diplomacy. You genuinely enjoy hitting the road, understanding that the most impactful enterprise business happens over a coffee in Amsterdam or a face-to-face review in Brussels.
Proven Enterprise Track Record:
7+ years of B2B SaaS experience, with a demonstrably successful track record of closing 6- and 7-figure deals within the Benelux enterprise cybersecurity or cloud infrastructure markets.
High EQ & Intentional Listening:
You don’t just pitch features; you listen with intent. You possess the self-awareness and emotional intelligence required to read between the lines, navigating the nuances of Dutch, Belgian and Luxembourgish business culture to move from "vendor" to "trusted business partner".
The "Exposure" Mindset:
You sell cyber-risk reduction, not software licenses. You understand that in 2026, identity is the actual perimeter, cloud-native environments are standard, and proactive risk context is everything.
Cultural Fluency & Regional Nuance:
Deep alignment with the direct, consensus-driven business culture of the Netherlands and the multilingual, multicultural nature of Belgium and Luxembourg. Professional proficiency in Dutch and/or French is highly preferred, alongside fluent English.
Technical & Strategic Curiosity:
Comfortable hosting business-value discussions with CISOs and CFOs, while remaining technically agile enough to discuss AI-powered attack path analysis, Zero- Trust architectures, and NIS2/DORA regulatory compliance, including the Dutch Cyberbeveiligingswet and Belgium's national NIS2 framework.
The Cross-Functional Orchestrator:
You operate as the CEO of your accounts, seamlessly rallying and directing internal matrix teams—including Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Product Specialists, and Executive Leadership—to align around complex customer risk profiles and drive transformational, platform-level Exposure Management deals.
Why Tenable in 2026?
Undisputed Market Leader:
We are globally recognized as the pioneer and leader in AI-Powered Exposure Management.
Cutting-Edge Innovation:
Work with an unmatched enterprise portfolio that includes Tenable One, Tenable Cloud Security, and our market-leading OT Security suite.
Tangible Impact:
Help secure the critical infrastructure and corporate backbones of some of the most innovative, digitally dependent nations on Earth.

THE TEAM
Payward Services is an enterprise infrastructure platform that enables companies to seamlessly integrate trading, payments, funding, and digital asset services through a single unified system. It provides coordinated liquidity, custody, compliance, risk management, and settlement capabilities, reducing operational complexity for fintechs, banks, brokerages, and payment providers.
As the first dedicated Sales Operations Analyst on the team, you’ll support Business Development across PWS and xStocks so our salespeople can spend their time selling. You’ll report to PWS sales leadership and work closely with Business Operations, Solutions, Legal, Compliance, and Product.
THE OPPORTUNITY

- Oversee document assembly and final formatting to ensure every submission is accurate, polished, and delivered on schedule
- Lead internal preparation and alignment for major client presentations, particularly RFP due diligence meetings, and track action items through to resolution
- Qualify inbound leads, including follow-up qualifying questions where needed, and route them promptly to the right salesperson or to self-serve onboarding
- Maintain Attio CRM data integrity, ensuring accounts, contacts, deal stages, and client outreach activity are accurate and consistent with Salesforce and other teams’ systems
- Build and maintain pipeline reporting in Attio, including stage definitions, funnel metrics, and forecast inputs, and prepare materials for weekly pipeline reviews
- Manage the handoff from signed deal to onboarding, confirming contracts, pricing, and billing details are in place so Solutions and Finance can start without chasing information
- Produce weekly customer insights from call notes and CRM activity, summarizing product requests, competitor feedback, and pricing feedback, and communicate emerging trends to Sales, Product, and leadership
- Develop and maintain a library of approved RFP and DDQ responses, and use it with AI tools to draft accurate, consistent first-pass answers
- Identify process gaps and implement better workflows, automating repetitive work where possible
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3+ years of experience in sales operations, sales support, or proposal management, ideally within banking, fintech, financial services, or crypto
- Experience managing RFPs, DDQs, security or compliance questionnaires, or other complex documents with many contributors

As a Lead, Business Operations, you’ll be the operating generalist for PWS. Your core is partner launch and the operating rhythm behind the business, and from there you’ll take on whatever PWS needs to scale: launch readiness, operating cadence, reporting, and strategic projects with leadership. You’ll report to the head of PWS Business Operations and work with Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance, and the outcomes are yours. This is a builder role for someone who sees a broken process, fixes it, and keeps it running without being asked.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Act as the operating partner to PWS leadership: run the business cadence, including planning, goal-setting, business reviews, and leadership updates, and track the metrics that show how PWS is performing
- Automate manual work across the business with AI and integrations, from partner launch checklists to reporting
- Improve how partners launch, working with Solutions, Product, and Compliance to build a repeatable launch process and shorten time to go-live
- Bring new products and acquired businesses onto the PWS operating rhythm
- Lead strategic and cross-functional projects that don’t fit neatly into a single team but are critical to PWS’s success
WHAT YOU BRING
- 4+ years in BizOps, RevOps, Strategy, or similar roles, including in-house experience at a payments, fintech, financial services, or crypto company. Consulting experience is welcome alongside in-house work, not instead of it
- A track record of owning a process end to end and driving it to done: you’ve taken something messy, built the system, and kept it running without anyone chasing you
- Range: you’re as comfortable building a launch plan as you are automating a workflow, and you enjoy switching between them
- A builder’s instinct: you’ve used AI tools, scripts, or no-code automation to remove manual work instead of waiting for someone else to
- Clear communication across audiences: you can walk Sales through a new process, brief leadership on a decision, and write requirements Engineering can build from
- Comfort with data and rigorous attention to detail
- Self-starter who creates the roadmap when one doesn’t exist
NICE TO HAVES
- Background in payments, card programs, or crypto infrastructure

ABOUT MOTHERDUCK
Don’t let the quirky name fool you: At MotherDuck, we’re on a mission to make data warehousing fun, frictionless, and ducking awesome for developers and data practitioners building blazing fast internal and customer-facing analytics experiences. We're building a cloud-hosted version of DuckDB, working hand-in-hand with the creators of the fastest-growing and fastest-improving query engine on the planet. Unlike other databases, MotherDuck was architected to unify local development with cloud operations to bridge the gap between software and data engineering workflows. Our team is a mix of thoughtful, passionate, and empathetic data industry veterans.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
We’re looking for a Product Marketer who lives at the intersection of words, product, and customers. You’ll take what our engineers build and turn it into stories that make developers and data teams lean in. You’ll own positioning and messaging, write the pages people actually read, and make sure our sales team walks into every conversation ready.
This role can be based in our Seattle, San Francisco or New York City office.
Key responsibilities
- Write. A lot. Website copy, landing pages, launch posts, product one-pagers, emails. You care about every word and you know when to cut.
- Help shape how we tell our story. Work alongside product, sales, and leadership on who we’re for, why we’re different, and how to say it in a way a data engineer won’t roll their eyes at... then keep it fresh as the product and market evolve.
- Build the web and the artifacts. Ship landing pages, comparison pages, demos and interactive assets... ideally hands-on with AI tools rather than waiting in a queue for design and eng.
- Arm the sales team. Create battlecards, pitch decks, objection handling, and competitive takes that AEs and Customer Engineers actually use in deals. Sit in on calls and bring what you hear back into the messaging.
- Run launches. Plan and ship product launches end to end with product, engineering, DevRel and growth.
- Stay close to customers and the market. Talk to users, track competitors (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery and friends), and turn what you learn into sharper stories.
- Work AI-first. Use Claude and other tools to research, draft, prototype and ship. Help set the bar for how marketing at MotherDuck uses AI.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3 to 10 years in product marketing, ideally at a B2B software or developer-focused company
- Excellent writing. Clear, punchy, and specific... you can make a technical idea land in one sentence
- A real knack for positioning: you've taken a product to market and can show the before and after
- Experience building web pages and landing pages, and comfort shipping them yourself with modern tools
- A track record of sales enablement that sales teams actually used
- Genuine curiosity about technical products. You don't need to write SQL for a living, but you want to understand how the thing works
- AI fluency. You already use AI daily to do better work, and you're excited to push that further
- A bias for action. You'd rather ship a good version this week than a perfect one next quarter
WHAT PEOPLE SHOULD BE SAYING IF YOU’RE DOING DUCKING AWESOME
- “I sent the new landing page to a prospect and they replied ‘this is exactly our problem.’ Didn’t have to explain a thing.”
- “Honestly, I understand our own feature better after reading the launch post.”
- “The battlecard came up in the call and I had the answer before they finished the question.”
- “They showed me a workflow they built with AI last week and now half of marketing uses it.”
WHAT WE PROVIDE
- Feather-ruffling compensation – competitive salary and stock options so you have a stake in our flock’s success.
- Top-notch healthcare coverage – 100% paid medical, dental, and vision for employees, plus 80% coverage for dependents (because we care about your whole nest).
- Flexible PTO – take the time you need to recharge, explore, or just have a lazy day by the pond.
- 401k plan – because even ducks need to plan for the future.
- Flexible work environment - spend most of the week in the office collaborating with the flock, and work from wherever you're most productive the rest of the time. Specifics are role dependent and as agreed upon with your manager
WHY MOTHERDUCK
We're a ~110-person, Series B team building on one of the fastest-growing open source projects in data. We're small enough that your work shows up on the website next week, and growing fast enough that there's always something new to figure out.
How we work comes down to four values:
- Thoughtfulness. We care about the people we work with and the craft behind what we ship.
- Flexibility. Plans change. We adapt without drama.
- Unorthodoxy. We question the default way of doing things, including in marketing.
- Agency. We own outcomes and don't wait for permission.
PLEASE APPLY
Does this role sound appealing to you, but you’re missing some of the requirements or don’t quite think you’re qualified? Please apply anyway. Research has shown that underrepresented groups in technology often shy away from roles which aren’t a 100% match. Our team is a mix of thoughtful, passionate, and empathetic data industry veterans.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Database team is the bridge between DuckDB and the cloud. We own the core server and client extension logic that lets DuckDB run seamlessly, whether it's local or in the cloud, and we work in C++ right alongside the DuckDB codebase itself. Our mission is to push the boundaries of embedded database performance, distributed execution, and user experience, all while staying closely connected to DuckDB Labs (the team behind DuckDB) to align on APIs and shape what's next.
Day to day, we drive major projects in dual execution, resource assignment, and system reliability, while also handling incoming issues and lending our DuckDB expertise to other teams. We collaborate closely across MotherDuck and with the wider DuckDB community, making sure people get the best of both local and cloud worlds. It's a small, high-agency team with big ambitions... the kind of place where engineers own impactful projects, share what they learn, and help shape how modern analytics gets built.
This role is ideally based in Amsterdam or Berlin, but we are also open to great candidates remotely in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own major projects in our dual execution stack, so DuckDB can process queries seamlessly whether they're running locally or in the cloud.
- Help build a cloud platform that dynamically assigns resources, so DuckDB stays efficient whether someone's running a tiny workload or pushing our biggest, highest-memory instances.
- Lead cross-functional work with our frontend, platform, and infrastructure teams to keep the user experience coherent end to end.
- Push the state of the art in embedded database performance, distributed execution, and DuckDB internals.
- Deepen your DuckDB expertise and share it with the rest of the company through mentorship and documentation.
- Work directly with our support team to debug issues, learn from real usage patterns, and prioritize the improvements that matter most.
- Improve systems holistically... spotting architectural challenges early and clearing bottlenecks before they become problems.
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for engineering practices across the team.
- Work closely with DuckDB Labs (which grew out of the Database Architectures group at CWI, where vectorized execution and DuckDB were born) to help align on APIs and shape where DuckDB goes next.
WHAT YOU BRING
- You've built and shipped complex backend systems, and you know what great looks like.
- You're fluent in a backend language like C++, Rust, Java, or similar systems languages, and you're comfortable working close to the metal. (C++ and Rust are the biggest plus here, and we love a great Java engineer too.)
- A good foundation in query engines, execution plans, indexing, and performance optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with DuckDB is a huge plus, no matter what level you're coming in at.
- You've worked with cloud infrastructure, networking, and building low-latency distributed systems.
- You can scope and lead projects that span multiple collaborators and cross-functional dependencies.
- You take pride in clear thinking, careful design, and thoughtful tradeoffs.
- You're comfortable mentoring peers and helping build a collaborative, high-agency environment.
- You enjoy engaging with the wider community, whether that's open-source conversations or working directly with DuckDB Labs.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
- The opportunity to participate and contribute to DuckDB, one of most popular modern open source analytical databases.
- Competitive salary and stock options so you have a stake in our flock’s success.
- Flexible time off – take the time you need to recharge, explore, or just have a lazy day by the pond.
- A good pension plan
- Legendary company events – we bring the whole flock together once a year for unforgettable team gatherings a year to keep our bonds strong.
- Hybrid work environment – Spend three days a week in the office collaborating with the flock, and work from wherever you’re most productive the rest of the time—whether that’s your home office, a coffee shop, or a peaceful lakeside retreat. We have to warn you though, most of us like the office so much we come anyway. It’s on the river Ij, with a great lunch every day.
